**The Books Series I Want to Read: A List of My Anticipated Reads**
As an avid reader, I'm always on the lookout for new series and books that I can sink my teeth into. In this article, I'll be sharing with you the book series that are currently at the top of my list, in no particular order.
**The First Book Series I Want to Read: The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin**
I recently finished reading a beautiful and imaginative series called The Broken Earth trilogy by N.K. Jemisin, and it really left an impact on me. The writing is really beautiful and features a main protagonist who's asexual, which is amazing. So far, it's been so well-written that I'm excited to keep reading this book and finally start the next one in the series. I think it comes out fairly soon, but again, it just seems like such an incredible and unique series that drew me to it. The world-building is really magical and whimsical, which is exactly what I love to read.
**The Next Book Series I Want to Read: The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet by Becky Chambers**
This sci-fi series genuinely has no idea what it's about at all, and I'm sorry because I don't want to give any spoilers away. However, I've heard so many good things about it that I just had to buy it because of that. I want to keep it a mystery and not go into it with any expectations or knowledge of the plot except for the fact that it's sci-fi. I don't tend to read much sci-fi, which is definitely why I wanted to pick this one up because I asked some people for sci-fi recommendations, and a lot of people recommended this series.
**The Last Book Series I Want to Read: Sleeping Giants by Sylvain Neuvel**
Another sci-fi series that follows the story of this girl who fell through the earth into the center of it in this giant metal hand. And then the actual story takes place 70 years later, where we have a scientist trying to uncover the mysterious situation that happened with this girl. I've never met anything like this before, and I really just want to try something new. I think this will be a great place for me to explore something new, so I'm really hoping it's as good as the synopsis sounds.
**The Last Book Series I Want to Read: The Chaos Walking Trilogy by Patrick Ness**
This is the first book in the Knife of Never Letting Go series and essentially this series is a dystopian sci-fi series. I don't know how to categorize it, but I really know about it is that it takes place in this dystopian world where everyone can read each other's minds. That causes a lot of problems, and that's all I know that's all I want to know. There is also a movie adaptation coming out soon, which is why I'm so excited to get around to reading the trilogy before the film comes out. It will be fantastic to see Daisy Ridley and Logan Lerman on screen.
**The Books Series That Are Currently High on My List**
There are definitely more series I want to read than just these, but these are the ones that are currently at the top of my list. They're the ones that I'm most anticipating, the ones that I feel like I want to get to first. As a moody reader, anything can change around, and maybe I'll end up reading an entirely different series before getting to any of these.
**What Do You Think?**
Let me know in the comments down below what are some book series that you really want to read. Are any of the ones that I mentioned on this list on your list as well or have you read any of the ones that I mentioned here, and if so, which ones do you think I should start reading first?
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey guys it's Hannah and today I'm coming to you with a video all about the book series that I really need to read I filmed a video just like this a very long time ago back when I started my channel about all of the book series that I had really been wanting to read and I just put them all in one list and shared them with you guys but it's been quite awhile since that time and I've read I think the majority of the books that were on this list and I thought it was about time for an updated list of book series that I have been wanting to read for a very long time and ones that I have on my shelf but I just haven't had the time to pick up yet I also just want to clarify that this list is going to be the book series that I want to start reading because there are several series that I've already started but I haven't finished so it's not a series I need to finish video that'll be an entirely different video that I could make if you guys are interested in seeing that because I have quite a few series that I've started but I haven't finished yet but without any further ado let's just get into all of the book series that I need to read the first series on my list is the Northern Lights trilogy by Philip Pullman this is one that I've been wanting to read ever since I was really young but I never read it when I was a kid so I thought that it's finally time to pick this one up and give it a go this is actually a bind up of all three of the books in one and I'm not usually the biggest fan of find ups but I just really liked this cover that's why I bought this copy I've heard fantastic things about this trilogy from countless people it has fantastic reviews it's so popular and so well known and I just feel out of the loop having never read it I really don't know what this trilogy is about honestly I know that it has something to do with a polar bear I know that there are like little demon things that people have as like companions I know that's part of it I have a friend who really loves this trilogy and he read it and he told me a bit about it you don't know really what else it's about I know it's fantasy and it's middle grade but that's about it but I do want to keep it that way I want to go into this and be completely surprised by it but I also think I'm really going to love this one so I do have pretty high expectations but I have a feeling that they are going to be met the next book series that I really want to read is the name of the wind by Patrick Rothfuss now I have already technically started reading this book I'm like 150 pages into it but I still wanted to include it in this video because I feel like it doesn't count as a series I need to finish because I'm not done with this book yet but this series is one that countless people have told me to read some of my friends in real life who really loved it people here online I've just seen fantastic reviews about it it's adult fantasy series that follows the story of this magician named kavorka Voth and never really know how to say his name but he's like this infamous wizard magician who is just telling his life story and that's kind of what the book is basically about him telling his life story and so far I really really loved it and I know that I'm gonna love the entire book and the next book so much and they're gonna be some of my favorite fantasies so I definitely want to read these I just need to finish this one and get around to the next one and hopefully the third book will come out sometime in the near future there's still no release date I believe but hopefully one comes up soon because I know that I'm gonna fall in love with these the next book series I really want to read is the queen of the tearling trilogy by Erika Johansen this is a why or adult I'm not a hundred percent positive but I think it's why a fantasy series that follows the story of this princess who comes in to political power essentially she kind of has to like take over her Kingdom and I don't really know too much more about the series I just know that it's very political and that a lot of people who really really love it and I like really political fantasies I think they're just really fun I love getting to learn about the politics of an entirely new world so I really think I'm going to love these books and I don't know why I haven't picked them up yet I finally recently got all three of the books in the trilogy so I have them all on my shelf now and I can marathon all of them whenever I want to and hopefully I'll be able to pick them up very soon because like I said everything about this series sounds like something that I would really enjoy so I hope that it all ends up meeting my expectations the next trilogy that I really want to read is the Graceling trilogy by Kristen cash or I have owned this book since before I started booktube since I was like in seventh grade or so and I never read it back then I don't really know why but it's just been sitting on my shelf for I can't even count how many years it's been at this point but this is another Y fantasy series that I don't really know too much about what it's actually about all I know is that it's a trilogy and each of the books in the trilogy are kind of companions to one another so they don't all follow the same main protagonists but I believe that all of the protagonists are connected in some sort of way I know it takes place in some sort of fantasy world and we have like kingdoms and princes and princesses that just sounds like everything I like in fantasy as you can tell from the rest of these books that I really want to read but this one is just such a popular staple why a fantasy series that I just can't believe I haven't read it already I want to read it because of course the synopsis interests me but I also want to be able to discuss it with people because so many people love this series and I want to know why so again hopefully I can get to this series very soon as well and I hope I really loved it too next series I really want to read is three dark crowns by Kundera Blake this is another series that's about kingdoms and princes and princesses but here we have three princesses who are all sisters and who are all competing for the throne it sounds a little bit kingly reskin I'm not a hundred percent positive if it's based off of that in any sort of way but I've heard really fantastic things about this book and I've heard that it has a lot of really feminist themes throughout it as well and it just sounds again like something I would really really enjoy I love stories about sisters I love stories about princesses and kingdoms and a competition for a crown sounds like a lot of fun the next series I really want to read is never knight by Jay Kristoff this is a book that I've actually started reading but I started reading it like months ago I read the first 30 pages and I was immediately hooked and it was so so good but I just didn't have the time to continue reading it so I had to put it down but I really do want to finish this one and continue on with the series if I enjoy it all I really know about this one from the synopsis and from like the thirty pages that I read is that it follows the story of this girl named Mia who lives in this fantasy world and she's kind of like an assassin and she's been trained ever since she was a little kid to be an assassin and I love stories about kind of morally grave villainous protagonists if you know what I mean and she's definitely that type of character and like I said I'd really liked what I'd read so far and it just seems like it's gonna be a really dark and fun mysterious type of fantasy series so I cannot wait to continue with it the next series I have on my list is every heart a doorway by Seanan McGuire I don't think this is actually called the every heart a doorway series I'm pretty sure it's called something else but I can't remember the name again this is another book that I've already started reading I know I said that this isn't a series I'm going to finish video but I haven't finished any of these first books I've only read like the first 15 to 30 pages so it doesn't really count as actually reading the book and finishing a series at least in my mind so I'm including these books this is a fantasy series that takes place in this fantasy world where children can open doorways to different worlds and when they do this if they go through those doorways sometimes they're gone for like maybe a few minutes sometimes they're gone for several months or several years in their time but for their families they've only been gone for like a little bit of time and so a lot of times the parents don't believe these children that they've actually traveled to different worlds and then the story takes place in this house that is for these children whose parents have sent them here to kind of try and help them understand what's going on and its really really good from what I've read so far the writing is really beautiful and it also features like a main protagonist who's asexual which is amazing and so far it's so well-written like I said and it sounds again like everything that I like to read very magical and whimsical and I'm so excited to keep reading this book and to finally start the
