TWIN TURBO MR2 MAKES AN INSANE PASS!

The Art of Fine-Tuning: A Journey with the MR2

As we embarked on our latest project, the MR2, we aimed to achieve a squat and a soft front end, allowing us to create a drag-style setup for drifting and stance. Our target was to soften up the front suspension, reducing stiffness and allowing for better weight transfer. We experimented with different coilovers, looking for the perfect combination that would enable us to maintain control while still achieving our desired aesthetic.

We discovered that the current suspension system was too stiff, resulting in a pogo-like effect when driving over rough terrain. The lack of give in the suspension made it difficult to achieve the desired level of stiffness, and we found ourselves struggling to find the right balance. To address this issue, we decided to loosen up the front end, using drift-style floor loaders to adjust the spring rates.

By softening up the front end, we hoped to create a more aggressive stance while still maintaining control. However, we soon realized that the current suspension system was not designed for drag racing and drifting. We knew that we needed to make some adjustments to accommodate our new setup. With this in mind, we began exploring options for customizing our coilovers.

We reached out to local experts and enthusiasts, seeking advice on how to modify our coilovers to fit our MR2's specific needs. One of the key modifications was installing a compression setting, which would allow us to adjust the suspension to suit different driving conditions. We also discussed the possibility of creating custom valve bodies for the coilovers, enabling us to fine-tune the spring rates and rebound settings.

Our goal was to create a drag-style setup that would enable us to maintain control while still achieving an aggressive stance. By working together with local experts, we were able to develop a customized suspension system that met our needs. This involved using parts from other coilovers, modifying them to fit our MR2's specific requirements, and fine-tuning the settings to achieve the perfect balance.

As we worked on fine-tuning our setup, we also focused on improving our driving skills. We practiced wheelies, learning how to control the car and maintain a consistent launch. With each pass, we made adjustments to the suspension and chassis, refining our technique until we achieved the desired results.

The MR2's performance continued to impress, with personal best times and impressive wheelie runs. Our longest wheelie was a stunning sight, as the car launched high into the air before returning to solid ground. We also set a new personal best time, running an 8.84 seconds in the quarter-mile.

However, our success was not without its challenges. As we competed against other cars, we realized that our competitors were well-prepared and experienced. Their cars were optimized for drag racing, with advanced suspension systems and specialized equipment. We knew that we needed to improve our game if we were to stay competitive.

To address this issue, we discussed the possibility of adding a slipper clutch pedal to our setup. This would enable us to control the clutch release more precisely, maintaining a consistent launch every time. By installing a slipper clutch, we could fine-tune our driving technique and make adjustments on the fly, ensuring that our car performed consistently in competition.

Just as we were getting back into the zone, one of our friends arrived with an incredible sight to behold – a beautiful pastel butter python snake. We were amazed by its vibrant colors and slender body, and we couldn't resist taking it for a closer look.

As we held the snake, admiring its beauty, we realized that sometimes the best things in life are the ones we least expect. The snake's presence was a welcome distraction from our driving duties, and we enjoyed every moment spent with this incredible creature.

With our MR2 project nearing completion, we took a moment to appreciate its achievements. We had created a car that performed exceptionally well on the track, with impressive wheelie runs and personal best times. Our hard work and dedication had paid off, and we were proud of what we had accomplished.

As we looked to the future, we knew that there would be more challenges ahead. But we were confident in our abilities and our cars, knowing that we had the skills and expertise necessary to overcome any obstacle. With a final glance at our MR2, we knew that this was just the beginning of an exciting journey – one that would take us to new heights and push the limits of what was possible with this incredible machine.

jurassic park death trap remember hashtag hogs only brother daddy's here for the hogs you still got that handprint down there yeah i do dick dick move yeah give him a little bit you give it a little how much a little bit because earlier i was like i mean you know you could give her that again she could take it what do you think five thousand you know five six everybody everybody's hands down the way yeah are we are we clear in the rear this thing is so gnarly you guys built a monster yeah man she ripped we need to get those side-by-side wheelies she's probably gonna do wheelies what's up guys we are over here at cletus and cars as you guys saw we were not able to finish the s14 so unfortunately we're not gonna have that in the burnout contest today but emilio is here with the supra it is parked back over there and he will be doing the burnout competition we've been hanging out for a few hours now getting stuff set up talking to fans hanging out and we are actually getting ready to put the mr2 in line they just called us up for some test and tuning and we re-uploaded the moon tune back into it the original one brent made for me but that's when i had the engine problem so hopefully everything's all good to go now if it holds up and runs good we're hoping we can get a new personal best out of the car that's the goal i'd just be happy to see an eight-second pass done in front of everyone out here so we're getting ready to put her in line right now and let's do this thing we're coming out swinging ready dude just about first pass let's send it brother all right guys let's get it first pass the mr2 baby um oh baby wow 860 dude let's go oh my god i wrote it out in second gear boys oh my god oh my god i'm shaking thank you oh eight six 164. wow hell yes boys h6 oh yes he's excited what's up sonny 860 brother dude this thing's so cool bro 860 dude everything was moving oh dude didn't reset that record i'm right there but you know he's eight thirties now but right bro everybody in the crowd damn dude you didn't like half the track i couldn't see the track but like i'm like i don't know where i'm going but i came down to the middle you were very centered alive check out these pictures dude larry like you wrote it out perfect because if you would have slammed it down this definitely on the back wheels yeah that thing that's the gnarliest wheelie it's never bounced it's not it's not the highest wheelie but it's the most dude shifting in the wheelies normally when i shift in a second it's already starting to come down very close like a week ago and i would be like less than a tenth on the world's fastest if he didn't reset it we were so closer yeah so we just got to figure out those wheelies dude we're gonna go to the 60s 141 on the back tire so we can go one two we can get it to stay down and go like 126 to the 60 it'll go and we'll get that record that's badass dude how we looking rich on the top oh dang super rich that's good though i didn't miss fire right no it sounded perfect what was the mile an hour 164. we only made 36. 36 pounds on that one and here you go ricky hey you're the man one of the new news you know i had a feeling you know dude it matches the shoes perfectly look at that could have been better say what's up buzzy what's up hi buddy hi we're doing a little bit of salvatore reactions over gonna go fast here foreign come on so unfortunately it has been raining pretty much all day they stopped the drag racing i was really lucky i got my pass out of the way while i could have ran the a6 was such an amazing pass super pumped on that we have just been hanging out talking to fans watching the burnout competition and right now they actually just called up the burnout rival guys so emilio is a part of that so he's getting me super ready right now and then brent is getting his bat rod all ready to go as well so we're about to go back out there and watch these guys send it ready do this burnout waiting all day for this man i've been kind of nervous because i'm like i don't know how i'm going to feel until i get out there you know and i'm like it's ready to go they're getting wild out there i know it's a wild crowd bro it's hard just to do a little burnout and stop they're going to boo me i don't want to get booed nah you'll be good dude i don't want to burn it down get in there and send this thing yeah that poor motor motor she's going to be done after this she's going to be giving money she had a nice life say your goodbyes say your goodbye her minivan days are over oh shoot ready what's up buddy you ready what do you got hey all right what's done to it it's a 4.8 ls with a i feel like brett right now i feel it thanks jamie if you don't hear nothing he's drifting he's just drifting dude come on you got it bud let her eat off those tires all right guys put it together for a video what happened bro i tried to blow it bro i don't think holly wasn't letting me do my thing like i had full throttle and it was like going down up down i mean i had fun i tried to send it bro like i was literally out there to blow it up i was waiting for you to just put it up against the barrier just let it go well it wasn't it was spinning the thing is it wasn't the rpms were cutting off yeah it had like a limiter it had on holly my dash was like because it was overheating the dash was just flickering and it was just like it was like some safety or something yeah you got to get it you got to get in there and turn all the safety off i know i didn't do that hey hey next time yeah it lives to see another day good luck out there dude oh hello oh oh wow the radiator almost came out hopefully your steering still works there you go you gotta reuse that she's stiff man so we might be making another pass in the mr2 trying to achieve a squat and the front end soft metal where the front end wants to hang so the weight stays back without wheeling what's happening is it's so stiff it's just pogo and it's easily snapping back on the tire you can see like when it comes down how it bounces yeah there's no give in the suspension so we're trying to soften up the front so maybe it'll extend a little bit although there's really no extension in it because yeah drift style floor loaders but loosen it up a little bit it's only got a compression setting let me know what you think awesome i appreciate it man if not then maybe we can uh i might be able to help you out with getting in contact with some people to get like a more drag style suspension yeah this is what it really it really needs ideas guys do a lot of you know important stuff you know they get custom valve covers from biking it's a matter of getting one in the configuration needed to work in the mr2 so it's one of those things we might be able to work with them on getting just the valve coil over itself with the spring and then you know you or i can we can work together use parts off of these coils and make it work in the car so this way instead of the actual body that will ever be for like drifting or stance or like road coursing may actually be a drag style with a you know compression and rebound setting and a softer spring to help with weight transfer the weight you put in the nose out of it get it on the scales corner balance and all that stuff get the right springs and get some valve bodies let's make some custom shocks and go awesome man well we'll put her back up in line and see what she does we're not far off she's close she's getting she's chipping away man i'm still pumped with how it's doing personal best pretty sick wheelie and it's still running great yep all three good things to have oh yeah for sure now tape it on the back hit it full throttle tape it on the back there we go baby extra 10 horsepower all right guys making our second pass of the game the mr2 there it is there it is come on baby oh 884 884 not too bad guys ran another 8 8 in 163 it looked like it launched real good yeah it launched good but i knew we turned it up so i was very cautious on the pedal so i let it slip a little more than i normally do it only did a one five one to the 60. oh really and it felt good other than that i think we just lost the time in the front half there and especially with all these street cars going right before us wasn't as prepped as it was when i did that first hit ready to go yeah well it looked like it left good so that's something we can build on yeah at least it didn't pull the wheel yeah i didn't wheelie yeah and i was just preparing for the wheelie so honestly first gear i don't even think i was matted because i'm almost worried when it comes up that hard but it felt better so i don't know if we'll just keep uh playing with it getting it dialed in yep i think we really need you that slipper on here as well on the clutch pedal so then we can have a consistent launch every time with the clutch pedal because right now i'm literally just using my foot to let off the clutch at my own rate and it can vary so if we get a slipper on there we can dump the clutch and it will slip for us and be consistent so then we can actually see what changes we make are affecting it and keep going from there but overall awesome day rank so we're fine engine's still healthy ready to go ran our personal best today with a sick wheelie our longest wheel we ever had and two eight-second passes had an awesome day and the car still runs so can't beat it hell yeah so we're getting ready to head out right now and this guy comes up with one of the most beautiful little snakes i have ever seen check this thing out it's like a little trouser man what kind of snake is this a pastel butter peasant a pastel butter python look at him look at that cute little snail debris when you shot whenever you hold somebody like an event that'd be awesome yeah bring them on by whenever you want that's badass man we got them we never had a snake and that thing you had a snake i was like yeah i got a kiss yeah that's sweet dude i know man thanks for letting me hold him all right food thank you yeah have a good night guys oh that made my ears ring dude this thing insane oh my god you\n"
