Samsung Galaxy S4 Software Firmware Update XXUEMK9

Transcription of the Video: Software Update for Samsung Galaxy S4

I have been testing a software update for my Samsung Galaxy S4, which I recently received about two days ago. As you can see from the screen, I currently have the software update available, and it's over-the-air, which means I don't need to plug in any cables or wait for an SD card. The size of the update is 114 megabytes, which I'd say is a mid-size upgrade.

The installation procedure will be similar if you've been following my videos before, so let me just ensure that my device has enough charge - about 50 percent should do it. Now, as I apply the update, you'll notice that the device is rebooting and applying the update. This process may take a few minutes.

My S4 is an Indian version with an octa-core processor, model number GTI9-5000, and I'm not sure if many of you have already received this update. If you have applied it yourself, please let me know in the comments section below about your experience and any changes you've noticed compared to earlier updates.

The software update promises to improve stability, which is always a welcome change. According to my research, this update also brings support for OpenGL 3 and improves RAM management. Additionally, there's an improvement in the TouchWiz launcher, which might make it smoother to use. It's also worth noting that the camera phone wave has been tweaked with this update, so we'll have to wait and see how it affects image quality.

The installation process is straightforward, but I want to warn you all that Samsung doesn't roll out all OTA updates at once. If you can't wait for an OTA update, you can also manually update your device using the Guy's Software - there will be links to this software in the show notes. However, keep in mind that it'll download the entire package, which is quite large.

As I continue with the installation process, you'll notice that my S4 is booting up again after the initial reboot. The boot time may seem longer than usual because of the firmware update - don't worry; this is normal after a firmware update. Now, let's see how long it takes for all the apps to be updated.

The software update has completed successfully, and I've now booted up my S4 normally. As you can see from the screen, everything seems fine. Let's look at the Android version - if anything has changed due to this update, I should be able to notice it now. And yes, that's correct; there hasn't been any change in the Android version.

However, as with most firmware updates, we still experience a little bit of lag and stuttering on our screen. We need to reboot the device once more to check if this issue persists. As you can see now, after another reboot, I've checked all my apps again - they're running smoothly without any issues.

In conclusion, my initial impression is that while the software update does bring some improvements, such as better RAM management and support for OpenGL 3, it doesn't seem to have fixed all the lagging and stuttering issues we had before. Nevertheless, I'll continue testing this update for the next few days and share any further updates or findings in the comments section below.

It's now time to put my S4 through its paces again, see how well it performs with the new software update, and hopefully, I'll find some improvements over what I had before. "WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi there this is Ranjit from tech Tobias comm and I have the Samsung Galaxy s4 and just a couple of days ago about two days ago I did get a software update again for this as far as you can see here we have the software update I got it oh dear that's over-the-air and let's have a look at the same before that let's look at the current version and as you can see it's the Android 4.3 version and the build number is um chain 9 so let's apply this update it's not a very small update or a very big update but I would say a midsize upgrade and as you can see the size for the grade was 114 megabytes and I got this update via OTA that's over-the-air update and it just says that it improves stability so the installation procedure will be very similar if you have been following my videos and we just install it I can just make sure that you have enough charge on your device at least I would say around 50 percent or so and as you can see it's rebooting now and will apply the update and this might take a couple of minutes and as you can see my s4 is the Indian version that's the octa-core version that is the GTI 9 500 I'm sure some of you might have already applied this update so if you have applied this update do let me know in the comment section what changes you have seen with the galaxy s4 did it make the UI a little bit more smoother compared to the earlier updates from what I have read this update brings the OpenGL 3 support and also it has improved Ram management and apart from a little bit of an improvement in the touchwiz launcher so hopefully it should be a little bit smoother and I also heard that the camera phone wave has been tweaked with this update so it will be interesting to see how it affects it and as you can see it's installing the update again this will take some time as just skip to this and after this initial when it goes to 100% it will reboot your device so we you just need to be a little bit patience now and roughly after around 4 minutes it has completed a tap it is at 100% now and now reboot our device as you can see again quite a few of you or do ask me if you don't get the OT updates you just need to be a little bit patient because Samsung does not roll out all the OTA updates at the same time if you can't wait for the OTA update you can also manually update it by the guys software the links for the guys software will be in the show notes but again with guys yeah it will be a very big download because it downloads the entire wrong but in case of OTA it just downloads the part that is required so as you can see it's booting and you'll notice that the boot time will be a significantly longer don't panic it's normal after a firmware update for the boot initial boot to be a bit longer and now the process of optimizing the Android apps is going on and this can also take a couple of minutes so I'll just skip this portion and come back when it's done and it has upgraded all our apps and now it should just put normally within a few seconds and as you can see it says finished boot and it should put any time and as you can see it has booted now normally let's just swipe around and it says the device was successfully updated so let's look at the Android version I don't think so the Android version would have changed but let's look at the build number that would have definitely changed let's look what about I see a little bit of lags but again I think so we need to reboot it once more and as you can see the build number has definitely changed now it's the UE mk9 so that has changed significantly and let's just browse around I see a little bit of stuttering did you notice that still a little bit of lag enos is there let me kill all the apps again nothing is running actually and it's again as you as you can see we see the little bit of stuttering so initial impressions looks like the little bit of lag and stuttering that was theorem the s4 is not that much fixed with this update again a tool we know if you have already got this update what changes have you felt a word they have with this update now it's a little bit smooth as you can see compared to earlier let's try this question this first note I'll be testing this update for the next couple of days and I'll share my thoughts in the comment section below so if you have also got this update do share your experience in the comment section below that's it for now thank you this ranchito hope to see you in my next videohi there this is Ranjit from tech Tobias comm and I have the Samsung Galaxy s4 and
