**Inserts for Halloween and Christmas Decorations**
The author has been using inserts for her decorations for years, and she loves them so much that she's still using them today. She has two sets of inserts: one for Halloween and one for Christmas. The Halloween insert spells out "Boo Boo," while the Christmas insert says "Ho Ho Ho." The author stores all of her inserts in a designated place to ensure that she never loses them, making it easy to switch them out when the holiday season changes.
**Current Project: Dollar Tree Fourth of July Decor**
The author is currently working on a DIY project using items from Dollar Tree. She's obsessed with the stars and has decided to use them for her fourth of July decorations. The stars are actually necklaces that she purchased at the Dollar Tree, each costing one dollar. To create her decoration, the author used mason jars that she also purchased at the Dollar Tree. The mason jars come with a handle, which is perfect for hanging them from trees.
The next material the author used was jute twine, which she has rolls of from Hobby Lobby. She loves this twine and uses it in many of her DIY projects because of its versatility and value. The author recommends getting the jute twine from Hobby Lobby, as they also sell it at Dollar Tree. With the mason jars and jute twine, the author was ready to start decorating.
**Adding a Touch of Magic with Twine**
To add a touch of magic to her decoration, the author used hot glue to secure the stars to the jar. She wrapped the twine around the jar, adding hot glue here and there as she went along. The author didn't need to cover the entire jar in hot glue; just random spots would do. This created a unique and rustic look that the author loves.
**Securing the Stars**
Once the author had finished wrapping the twine around the jar, it was time to add the stars. She removed the beading from the stars' necklaces, as they were no longer needed. The author kept only the little round clips that held the stars together, which she would need to feed through another piece of twine later on.
**Tying it All Together**
The final step was to tie a bow around the jar using the remaining twine and clip. The author fed the star's necklace through one of the strands of the bow and tied it in place. This created a beautiful, rustic decoration that adds a touch of Fourth of July magic to any room.
**Total Cost and Conclusion**
The total cost of this project was six dollars, which is incredibly affordable considering the result. The author had some jute twine on hand, which saved her money. She also already had mason jars from a previous project, so that was another bonus. With three stars at one dollar each, the author felt she got an enormous value for her money. This DIY project is perfect for anyone looking to add a unique touch to their Fourth of July decorations without breaking the bank.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey everyone so today we're going to do another a Dollar Tree fourth of July decor idea and I also would like to say that I know I have a lot of subscribers and followers that are not from the US and definitely take this idea and you can apply any of these ideas to whatever event that you like you can just switch out the colors and maybe the star effect maybe instead of doing stars for whatever I'm doing you could add a different like decor piece in place of the Stars so just kind of want to throw that out there this doesn't have to just be us related and in case if anybody is wondering where I got my little top hat I think I got this at the target dollar spot yeah I was going to do this use this for a DIY but then I thought no I put this in my hair because it's too cute look at that well no he that is hello the first DIY that I want to show you is actually a DIY that I did on my channel a long time ago when I lived in the house before this one so this was like four plus years ago I'm no longer how that video is public it's set on private just because it's really old the editing's really bad so I'm just going to take you through a visual step through walk through talk through of what this is but it is basically just picture frames okay and it says USA just like this and I did get three different sizes which I love so the U and the a are four by sixes and these are all from Ross and the bigger five by seven is the S so I really love that factor where you get different sizes I think it looks really pretty and I love that the middle one is bigger than the two on the left and right so super simple all I did was I went to Hobby Lobby where I got the scrap of piece of paper right here and it is the white and navy stripes and then I got a sheet of this red glitter paper it's pretty thick it's also at Hobby Lobby and I used some stencils and then I just drew out the you the s in the a it was a little tricky to cut but if you have some patience it can turn out really nice like this and I did have to use a hot glue gun to adhere the red glitter to the scrapbook because that red glare paper is so thick just be sure that when you're dealing with vertical and horizontal stripes that they're all going the same way and also what I love about this project as well is that I've used them to interchange inserts for Halloween I have where it spells out boo Bo oh and then I have another insert for Christmas time it says ho ho ho so I love this project I've been using it for years upon years and I store my inserts all in the same place so that I never lose them and then when it's time I just changed them out okay now let's get started on this current year Dollar Tree DIY fourth of July decor I'm obsessed and I hope that you guys are going to love it too but hello hello people these stars are from Dollar Tree necklaces okay so let's go ahead jump right in let's talk about all the material how I put this together so for starters these mason jars I actually purchased a couple of weeks ago from the Dollar Tree and I had intended to use them to hang up in my backyard from my trees but my tree branches are so high up that I can't there's nice impossible to reach it's just impossible so it wasn't realistic to my backyard but otherwise if you do have some low branch hanging branches in your yard you could still do this and put a cute little tea light in here and hang these from your tree and it would be adorbs so these mason jars I did get from the Dollar Tree and they do come with the handle the next material that I use was actually some jute twine which I have rolls and rolls of from Hobby Lobby this is one item that I felt has been really a great staple for my DIYs and so worth the money because I have used it and used it this looks great with all of my decor with my Christmas decor with my Halloween decor so I really do love this twine and my recommendation would be to get it from Hobby Lobby but they also do sell this at Dollar Tree as well and then the next item that you're going to need are these star necklaces now these are each individual necklaces so each one cost a dollar so total of three dollars for the red white and and what's awesome about these necklaces is that like they light up if you hit them and you're just going to need a little bit of a hot glue and you're going to lay down a piece of hot glue at the very top of your jar where you're going to start rolling your twine around the jar so you just need a little bit of hot glue as a starting point and then you can just start wrapping the twine all around your jar and then every so often add more hot glue as you go on here and there you don't have to hot glue the entire thing all the way around every single strand and mine has hot glue every so randomly placed and it just doesn't move and it's perfect so I simply just sat there and wrapped the twine around the jar hot glued here and there and I did the same thing for the other two jars and then once I was done with all three jars wrapping it all around the twine and as you can see I only went about maybe a little bit over a quarter of the way but definitely wrap however much of the jar that you want to the very last step was I simply took the beading off of these stars you don't need the necklace piece anymore so I kind of just took that off but you are going to need the little round clip that holds the star to the necklace so you're going to keep that because you're going to actually feed that through another piece of twine that you're going to wrap around the jar the lid and then you're going to tie it in a bow and you're going to feed the little necklace through one of the strands of that bow and then you're going to tie it and secure it and that is it you don't even need to secure secure it with hot glue or anything it's just really as simple as feeding it through the twine and then tying it in a cute little bow in the front so this project total cost me six dollars I already had the jute on hand which again as I talked about is a huge staple in my DIY so I've used it over and over and gotten an enormous value from that roll from Hobby Lobby I think it cost me maybe $5.99 and I probably used a 40 or 50 percent off coupon and then the mason jars were each a dollar and the star necklaces were each a dollar so six dollars for the cutest 4th of July candle holder I think I've ever seen okay guys that's it I hope that you enjoyed this tutorial and I hope that it's as easy for you to do as it was for me I really feel like this is beginner stuff so thank you so much for watching and don't forget stay tuned click subscribe so that you see when I post my next video for my next Dollar Tree fourth of July decor
