MY R34 GTR IS BACK!

**A Nissan Enthusiast's Dream Come True: Reassembling a Rare Nismo Bowl**

For a true car enthusiast, there is no feeling quite like being surrounded by rare and unique pieces of automotive history. For Sean Morris, that dream came true when he stumbled upon an extremely rare Nismo bowl, long sought after by collectors but never thought to be found. The excitement was palpable as he revealed his find to the community, a testament to his vast knowledge of Nissan parts and his reputation as a master restorer.

"I know what this is," Sean exclaimed, "This is a Nismo old logo bowl, collectors haven't even heard about this! Mic like this, right here." The enthusiasm was infectious, with Sean joking that he had to outbid another enthusiast who claimed to have the best builds. However, in reality, Sean's builds were far superior, and his humility was evident as he acknowledged the expertise of others.

**A Lifetime of Experience**

Sean's journey with Nissan began over 57 years ago, when he was just a teenager. His passion for cars only grew stronger with time, leading him to become one of the most respected figures in the community. In fact, Nissan itself took notice of his skills and hired him to part out old GTRs to create new ones. This experience has allowed Sean to develop an unparalleled understanding of Nissan's intricacies, making him the go-to expert for restoration projects.

Tommy, a fellow enthusiast, played a crucial role in Sean's latest project. He connected Sean with Terrafirma, which provided zinc-plated bolts for the restoration. These high-quality components would ensure that Sean's rebuild was not only accurate but also durable. As Sean carefully organized the bolts, he marveled at the sheer complexity of the task, acknowledging that his own experience paled in comparison to Tommy's.

**The Reassembly Begins**

With the parts laid out before him, Sean set to work reassembling the Nismo bowl. The task was daunting, with 800 different types of Nissan bolts to organize and categorize. He carefully labeled each part, using separate bags to keep everything distinct. As he worked, Sean couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and trepidation. This project would be his most challenging yet, requiring him to draw upon years of knowledge and experience.

The Nismo bowl's unique design and color scheme provided a fascinating backdrop for the reassembly process. Sean had decided on a bold purple-and-gold theme, inspired by the original OEM gold used in Brembo's brake kits. The powder-coated finish was perfect, but Sean couldn't shake the feeling that he might have made a mistake by not painting instead. He joked about the possibility of changing his mind at the last minute, a sentiment echoed by the community.

**The R34 Ganondorf: A Rare Treasure**

Sean's focus on the Nismo bowl was brief, as he soon turned his attention to another highly sought-after collector's item: the R34 Ganondorf engine. He had managed to acquire half of the set at an incredibly low price, sparking questions about why they were so cheap. Sean speculated that it might have been due to their condition or internal messiness, but ultimately, the value lay in their universality and rarity.

Sean's excitement grew as he began to envision the possibilities for this engine, knowing that even a broken set could be salvaged by extracting its components from another Ganondorf unit. The price of $1200 was comparable to what S13 Ganondorfs were selling for, which was staggering considering their relative rarity. As Sean continued to sort and categorize the parts, he couldn't help but feel grateful for his discovery.

**The GT350: A New Focus**

As Sean delved deeper into the reassembly process, his attention turned to another project that had been waiting in the wings: the GT350. He hoped to take it for its first true test drive soon, with plans to attempt some high-speed runs and push the car's capabilities to the limit. The community was eager to hear about his progress, but due to COVID-19 restrictions, the team would have to rely on a remote setup to ensure Sean could drive safely.

**Conclusion**

As Sean Morris began to reassemble the rare Nismo bowl, he couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. His years of experience and expertise had come together in this one project, showcasing his mastery of Nissan's intricacies. The road ahead promised to be filled with excitement and challenge, as Sean took on not one, but two highly sought-after projects. With the R34 Ganondorf engine and the GT350 awaiting their turns, it was clear that Sean Morris was back where he belonged: at the forefront of the car world.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: eni made record time this morning pulling off the intake manifold on the r32 again i actually got the whole thing off in like 30 minutes compared to a day is what it took me before i figured out what i like absolutely needed to take apart and what i could kind of get away with i was able to do a lot faster and i'm going to try to redo it today uh instead of using the oem guys gonna use a thicker gasket because i didn't mention this but uh it was still leaking so big sad but i'm just trying to finish it and get it out of the way because there's a bunch of other projects i want to get onto i didn't mention to this to you guys before but the r34 is back i haven't even gotten a chance to look at it yet i got stuff i want to do with the fd i want to finish up the mustang and then this thing was just like a little side project so i'm trying to get this wrapped up so next week we can start strong we got to go down an ace and i got to get a couple taps so even though the drain tune isn't dialed i'm going to try to take the mustang over and see we can maybe do a pull in just like one gear or something for context the place that sells acai closes in three minutes you didn't get the clip of me erratically no that's why i said for context okay okay for context i like smoothies smoothies are great oh my god i've never gone overspeed on with these skirts ooh do i try um i'll i'll go around back he's gonna say how bad would you want that smoothie you know something wrong with this transmission too yeah i gotta get a trans dude oh gotcha guys i was trying to make your head at the windshield this time before putting everything back together i decided to pressure test it like this listen all that's water that would have been spraying into my cylinder so i caught it now before putting everything back together i think bottom line i just need like a way thicker gasket or i don't know why it's so warped i doubt my head is worked i think it's like the plates have gotten warped over time or something i don't know though i'm feeling so defeated i've tried three days now to fix this problem i just want to give up i'm probably gonna give up the biggest issue right now is on top of having gasket issues now three different bolt holes are stripped i've tried re-tapping them and it's just one of those things where you gotta know when to quit i think what we're gonna do i think i'm gonna go push it into a corner to die with the bmw and all the other half-finished builds at the other auxiliary warehouse and in the meantime i'm gonna call the boys down under i think i'm gonna get some bigger cams for a neo head i didn't tell you guys this i bought two neo motors off tommy we had a couple deals and he kind of jumped and finessed me but we were able to work out a situation where i was able to get two neo motors off of him one i'm probably gonna use for something else but one had a bad bottom end that i'm gonna rob the head off so i can put it on this along with a single throttle uh intake manifold to get rid of all the water issues i've been having and i'll be able to rev even higher because i won't have this stupid hydraulic lifter so hopefully this thing will be going up to 8 500 rpm minimal go a little bit bigger turbo and like try to make the best out of a situation rather than just being down about it so at least there's something exciting to look forward to with this but uh there's just so many builds and so many projects and so much stuff going on right now that like we'll push this away and i really want to start focusing on the r34 maybe as soon as tuesday so fingers crossed you know what you got in that thing today we've basically been playing shop cleanup uh probably doesn't look that much but there's a lot of clutter here and the r34 is back but i don't have a place to put it so i'm trying to clear out this area so we can get the r34 in here and i can show you guys what the new updated re-repainted engine bay looks like i don't know i've ever said this in the video but this is garrett let me take home from sema that's my hand it's your hand there's your garage i look down bro my hands look like i look like a working man look at that she's back and i'm so happy if you guys remember it was kind of a sad story when i got the car back last time the painter really butchered it i do want to let you know that painter actually did make good on the terrible paint job that they did and i wound up getting my money back and i almost just left the bay and just like dealt with it but uh crowell's customs reached out to me from up in pennsylvania and i know that he's painted a bunch of stone beck's cars and is really really good top-notch paintwork um it basically assured me he just repainted an entire midnight purple 3 r34 gtr that he could get it perfect and if you look uh mike showed you that montage like i'm beyond happy with it now and it's where it's at for me to be excited to put the car back together where before i was kind of like bummed and was just accepting that the car was not going to be to the level that i wanted to be because top tier paintwork is just really hard to come by and especially getting it done on a quick timeline um but he got it done super fast and it's actually been at his shop we just haven't had a chance to get it um but when dj drove the rig down he picked it up for us so now it's home and uh this is hopefully after i get that thing running on the street where the focus is going to be so i'm excited to start putting stuff together waiting on a couple parts still from the machine shop engine wise um but for now i can start kind of piecing together little suspension bits put the subframe back in start working on the rear subframe setup and uh kind of get the the base of the car back together which i'm super excited about you know what's in this box uh indian i wish i wish it was food oh oh there's indian what's in there don't worry about it oh oh i see the label oh oh oh that's where we're going to have some fun i'm sick of all these junk trash builds on youtube no one's going the extra mile so we're going to start and i'm going to show you guys how to make my r34 gtr the best gtr i got this box here not a lot of people have the connections that i do so pulling something off like this is pretty hard i keep my table really clean just to make sure that i don't get any cross contamination or any of the junk builds around here rubbing off on mine you ready to see what we got in here it's really important that we don't cross contamination between the vapor hone stuff and the zinc plating stuff they're always trying to come just trying to cross and hang out together you just everybody's sleeping don't sleep get your hardware zinc coated stop building trash build have some dignity my gtr is going to slay not because it's fast but because i carefully curated and chose and went on yahoo auctions japan i spent 500 on this bolt do you know what this is this is a nismo old logo bowl collectors haven't even heard about this mic like this this right here sean morris tried to outbid me for this dude buried him his builds trash my builds slay i don't know how i'm gonna put any of this back together i labeled everything in separate bags but everybody knows how great i am so they just decided they throw it all together and figured i could piece back together since i've parted out 1300 gtrs in this 57 years i've been alive i've been partnered gtrs since before they were even out nissan actually hired me to part out old gtrs to make new gtrs and that's why today i'm just gonna slay don't sleep all right all jokes aside guys tommy did help me out and he was the connect for getting all my bolts zinc plated so now when i put this thing back together it's going to be like brand new and dan over at terrafirma helps me get a bunch of new stuff for this as well a lot of new old stock stuff or really new new stock stuff because they still make a lot of stuff for this but i'd like to pretend that it's more rare than it actually is so putting this thing together is going to be like putting together the best car ever because it's a gtr dude i think looking at all the zinc and trying to organize it is making me go nuts oh my god i don't know how tommy does it i'm like maybe like an hour in and i feel like i'm starting to lose my vision maybe that's why he uses the black backdrop for contrast but i can now tell the difference between 800 different types of nissan bolts this is going to be the true test though of if i know enough about taking apart nissans put them all back together because unlike tommy i haven't parted out bajillion cars and i feel like i know where most of the bolts go but it's definitely gonna be some guess and check work i got these nice little cubbies i'm trying to organize them we got the long tips the short tips the crusties got the purple bolts the eight mills the allens the these are valve cover bolts i recognize some of them lots of them i don't now that the r34 is back i've been like way too excited to start like looking at parts i've been starting like mock things up so this is the color i decided to do for the valve covers um the whole idea is to kind of go with like a purple and gold theme kind of matching the oem gold that brembos would be um and the powder coat guy actually did a really good job at kind of getting the letters to be transparent and then the rest gold i will say though i'm still contemplating maybe painting instead of powder coating just because i hate how powder coating sometimes you get a little bit of the eggshell finish or paint you can really get it like mirror but regardless i'm like super pumped this gold's perfect and it looks so good all put together i think rb is probably like one of the best looking valve covers out of any engine changed my mind tomorrow i was thinking we dragged a whole video out of installing these whoa for whatever reason our 34 ganadors all sell for like over 2 grand i don't know what to do with this set was they were kind of sketchy and like the internals were kind of messed up but pretty much everything with ganondorf is universal so if you get like a broken set you can take internals out of another set of ganondorfs just a weird thing that i figured out um so i have these all ready to go on i actually was able to score those i don't know why they were so cheap like i said those are half price those are like 1200 bucks which is like what s 13 ganondorf's are going for nowadays which is wild um but anyway tomorrow we'll probably dink around with this a little bit but the main thing is going to be the gt350 i'm hoping that we're going to take it for its first like true rips the htg guys are having a hard time getting over here because of covid and they want to come to the car in person but in the meantime i'm going to try another more simple controller just so i can start driving the car and do some rips so i'm hoping tomorrow we'll get to do our first reps that's gonna be the main focus and then we'll probably just start piecing things together on the r34 but i'm happy she's finally back i'm happy to start getting it back together and hopefully i'll have my stuff back from the machine shop soon we can get this thing back on the road again hope you guys enjoyed this video when you saidi made record time this morning pulling off the intake manifold on the r32 again i actually got the whole thing off in like 30 minutes
