iOS 6 Tips - Best YouTube Apps!

**Finding the Perfect YouTube App Replacement**

As I dug through the numerous options available, I was able to find a few gems that met my needs perfectly. The first app that caught my attention is Up Player, which is totally free and emulates the look and feel of the old YouTube app. While it does have some advertisements, I didn't mind them enough to upgrade to the paid version, as I wanted to support the developers who made a really good app.

One of the key features that I liked about Up Player is its simplicity. If you select a video, it will show related videos on the side, similar to what we had in the old YouTube app. You can also pause the video, subscribe to channels right from the video page, and thumbs up videos. However, commenting doesn't work as well as I would like, but you can still share your thoughts on the video. The quality of the videos is great, and you can full-screen them easily. One small difference between Up Player and the old YouTube app is that it uses a red UI instead of blue.

Another app that was highly recommended to me from the Twitter community is Jasmine. This app has a much prettier UI than Up Player, which I found to be a plus. You can log in with your YouTube account if you want to, or view the most viewed videos without one. Like Up Player, Jasmine also offers an ad-free version for purchase, but the free version will still give you access to all the features you need.

One of the standout features of Jasmine is its commenting system, which works much better than Up Player's. You can add your thoughts on a video, and it even allows you to reply to comments made by others. The app also has a feature called "Jasmine" that shows all your subscriptions and latest videos in one place. Navigation is smooth, but it took me a little while to figure out how to get back to other options.

If you're looking for an alternative to Up Player or Jasmine, there's the official YouTube app for iPhone. While I didn't like the look and feel of this app as much as I would have liked, it does work well. You can comment on videos just like in the standard YouTube app, and make videos bigger if needed. The quality of the videos is fine, but the overall design of the app left me unimpressed.

For me, Up Player has been the perfect replacement for my old YouTube app. I like the look and feel of the old generation YouTube app, and Up Player has delivered on that promise. However, I know many of you may be struggling to find a good alternative, so I hope this article has helped you discover some new options.
