**Hands-On Review: Bose QuietComfort 2 Earbuds**
As I put on the Bose QuietComfort 2 earbuds, I was immediately struck by their premium feel and sound quality. They are sort of like Premium Bose headphones, and that's exactly what I'm expecting from them. As I listened to music through these earbuds, I felt as though the sounds were not just in my ears, but all around me - a truly immersive experience. This is no surprise, given the reputation of Bose for producing high-quality audio products.
I was able to turn up the EQ myself and test out the sound, and I have to say that it's really good. The bass response is deep and punchy, with clear highs and mids that are perfectly balanced. But what really blew me away was when I turned on the noise cancellation feature - everything just disappeared. Even the ambient sounds in my room seemed to fade away, leaving only the music or my voice as the sole focus.
The earbuds themselves are designed to be compact and discreet, with dimensions of 1.2 inches high x 6.24 inches wide x 0.88 inches deep. They weigh a mere 6.24 grams each, making them easy to carry around. The battery life is up to 6 hours per charge, with three additional charges available from the case itself. Charging time is relatively quick - just 2 hours for a full charge, or 20 minutes for a quick top-up.
The Bluetooth range is standard at 30 feet, and the earbuds support Bluetooth version 5.3. They also have an IPX rating of sweat and water resistance, making them perfect for use during workouts or in rainy conditions. The sound calibration process was seamless, and I found that each earbud sounded almost identical to the other - a testament to Bose's attention to detail.
But what really sets these earbuds apart is their "Aware" mode feature. This allows you to customize your listening experience by blocking out external noise or allowing ambient sounds to filter through. It's incredibly useful for situations like traveling, working out, or simply wanting to stay aware of your surroundings without being completely immersed in audio.
To test the microphone quality, I used the Blackmagic camera app and compared it to an iPhone microphone. The difference was striking - while the iPhone microphone captured a pretty standard sound, the Bose earbuds picked up every nuance of my voice with ease. But what's particularly clever about these earbuds is that they also pick up external sounds in a way that allows you to hear your own voice while still being aware of your surroundings.
If you're looking for a higher-quality earbud system, the Bose QuietComfort 2 earbuds are definitely worth considering. I'm very happy with my experience so far - these earbuds are incredibly comfortable, produce stunning sound, and have all the features you'd expect from a premium product. And with an affordable price tag, they're a steal.

WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwhat's up everybody this is Carl from Tech bu goodies and today we are looking at the Bose quiet Comfort earbuds 2 so these are noise cancelling earbuds by bows and typically I like to stay with more of the budget option because a lot of times uh my headphones get taken either by my kids or they get ruined so I don't like to spend a lot of money on them these have been on sale lately because they are an older model and one of the things that we've always talked about is if you are looking at a product you can sometimes save a little bit of money by going with an older product which still has great quality Great Sound um but this is my first set of Bose earbuds so I'm excited to try them out and share them with you so let's go ahead and take a look at what's in the box and obviously in the box we have the headphone case itself and we should in the bottom here have the necessary cables we'll see what this is so this cable down here for charging is a USB a to a USB C so we'll get that sort of fast charging out of it which is good and then this looks like they give you some extra earbud pieces which based on the size of your ears you can choose which size you want they give you a small one and a large one they also give you these little plastic wrap things here that I guess go on the actual earbuds themselves not sure what purpose they serve but we'll take a look at that in a minute and it looks like what they do is if you look here those little rubber things not only they give you the tips they give you the rubber things that kind of go around the earbuds themselves and that will kind of help you with the fit of the earbuds in your ear so I guess that gives you different variety of the ways that you can have it fit in your ear if they're a little bit loose you can put the rubber on there and that'll give it a little bit of a tighter fit so opening up the earbuds themselves now this case is a carrying case and it is a charging case you can see the USB on the bottom here for charging but it does not have wireless charging so you can't set it on a base of some sort and have it charge I guess that's one of the cons that I had seen but I think that in general you know if you have a cable and you can charge them up that's fine so in here we have the two earbuds themselves let's pull them out this is a pretty bulky case for the size of the earbuds so these are supposed to be extra sort of small earbuds that sort of fit into your ear with out a lot of extra stuff hanging out of your ear but if you look here they look really nice I guess we'll go ahead and give them a fit check see how they fit and then I will test them out and let you know how they sound like I said a lot of times I'll use very budget headphones and a lot of times they sound great but I'm expecting a little bit more from the Bose headphones themselves so let's go ahead and set it up here quickly with the Bluetooth and it looks like they show up already I don't have to hit a special button combo to get them to try to pair and it looks like there is a app so let me go ahead and get that too all right then once the app is open I do not want to sign up I accept all the legal agreements and and allow Bluetooth access no thanks for notifications and here we go headphones it already sees the Bose QC earbuds too connect so now that that's connected it looks like it's going to do a little setup if you look on the earbuds themselves you'll see here let me angle it right you'll see there is a little r and an L on each one of them so you know which ear they go in and in general oh they fit really nicely in the ear very easy to put in and it looks like there is a voice assistant touch control so there is touch control on the outside of the earbuds phone calls we'll try the microphone later and try that out and noise cancellation so from what I've read this has one of the best noise cancellation systems on the market so I'm expecting good sound and good noise cancellation and in the app it looks like they do have volume control they have different modes depending on what situation you're in if you want quiet time you can set up your own different like I guess sort of profiles so you can switch between them if you want to be able to listen to music and have no one bother you you put that or you want to be aware you can turn off the noise cancellation and make sure that you have those different modes depending on what situation you are in or what you're listening to I do like the fact that there is an EQ here it looks like they have base boost base reduction treble reduction and treble boost I'm going to go ahead and do base boost and I'll put a little bit of the treble up so it looks like it's nice because I can adjust that EQ myself let me go ahead and test out the sound all right ooh they sound really good not that I'm surprised right they're sort of Premium Bose headphones I'm expecting them to sound good but what I am experiencing right now not just music that's in my ears it's actually out here like it's surrounding me which is actually pretty surprising I haven't experienced that yet in headphones I'm Blown Away by those very happy now again that comes with a premium price let me go a and take this out so I can actually hear myself talk because I do have the noise cancellation on and with that on I have a hard time actually hearing my own voice you know you hear it inside your head anyway uh that sounds excellent I'm very impressed by that and the noise cancellation seems to be so good like I've got a couple things here in the room that once I put those in that disappears so as far as the specs go the earbuds are 1.2 in High by 68 width by 88 depth they're only 6.24 G each there's up to 6 hours per charge on the battery life three additional charges from the case itself charging time is 2 hours for a full charge or 20 minutes for a quick charge of up to 2 hours the Bluetooth range is pretty standard for up to 30 ft Bluetooth version 5.3 and an ipx rating of sweat and water resistance they have custom tuned sound calibration personalized audio by adapting to your ears quiet mode full noise cancellation aware mode allows Ambient sound in active Sense Technology touch controls from the outside you have the app that you can use that I showed already and voice assistant compatibility it supports Siri and Google assistant and again I really like that aware mode I've talked about this in the past where if you want to be in a situation and that's where those profiles I showed you in the app come in if you want to be in the situation where you want to block everything out you put the noise canc a in let's say you're on a plane or something like that but if you're in an office setting or in a home setting where you want people to be able to talk to you you can set it up so there is kind of a pass through where you can hear things on the outside and you're not totally blocked out from the world that works good when you're running or out uh working out or something like that so that you know that you have that awareness of your surroundings so let's go ahead and chest out the microphone so I use the Blackmagic camera app so that I know I'm specifically choosing the iPhone microphone versus the Bose QC earbuds what I'll do is quick do a quick iPhone test for you so you know how the iPhone itself sounds so let me go ahead and do that test test test 1 2 3 4 this is sound directly from the iPhone microphone and then I'll go ahead and switch over to the Bose earbuds here test test test 1 2 3 4 this is a sound test of the Bose quiet Comfort 2 earphones this is audio directly from the earphones themselves as if I was talking to someone one of the nice things about that is when you do turn on the microphone itself you do get a little bit of that pass through that aware mode so you can hear your own voice while you're talking to someone but this is how it sounds raw audio no EQ no changes or anything again I've talked to you about this in the past is that it's very difficult for me to be able to convey to you how something sounds the only thing I can give you is some sort of description of what I'm hearing and what the differen is between what I've tried in the past for me definitely worth the price if you are looking for a higher quality earbud system this is incredible I'm very happy with those I would definitely suggest I'll leave the link down below it'll be an affiliate link if you want to check that out again these are the Bose quiet Comfort earbuds 2o if you like this review or it helped you out please hit the like button for me subscribe I'd love to
