Hey guys, welcome back to the channel and right on schedule, apple is quickly ramping up iOS 15 for an official release today, releasing iOS 15 developer beta 8. Now, we'll talk about expected release dates for the software but aside from iOS 15 developer beta 8 releasing today, we also saw iPad OS 15 developer beta 8, TV OS 15 and beta 8 was released alongside as well, and of course Watch OS 8 beta 8 was released now. Monterey is sitting in beta 6, apple has its own schedule for the mac and I have a theory behind this, we're expecting new macs close to the November December time frame so I'm pretty sure we'll continue testing Mac OS even after the release of iOS in the next couple of weeks so yeah that's my theory that's why Mac OS I think it's sitting in beta 6 and everything else is going along very quickly in beta 8 as you just saw there now there's a few things to note here, uh this software does not contain any major changes however there's a few things that I do want to talk about.
There are some improvements and things that apple just continues to work on. The first thing to note is that this software is approximately 530 megabytes give or take as always, that's going to depend on the software that you're updating from and let's take a look at the bill number because the bill number often times reference a release date so if we head on over to the latest bill number here iOS 15 developer beta 8 there it is 198 5340a now typically the letter a towards the end of the bill number signifies that we're getting close to an official release and before we talk about that, the expected release date for the software I want to talk about the improvements and bug fixes within this software.
The first thing I've noticed right away after using the software is how smooth it is, it feels a lot snappier, a lot faster, a lot nicer to use, and I've noticed that third-party applications are not crashing as they were before. So for example Twitter was crashing every single day now that I updated to beta 8 it hasn't crashed once and yes I've only used the software for only a couple of hours but before it was crashing every time every day now it doesn't look like it's crashing, also other third-party applications and even banking applications are working properly. I've also encountered a bug within Facetime that wouldn't remember my logging especially for banking applications, now Facetime is remembering my logins with the keychain so if you were having that issue the latest beta feels snappier, third-party application crashing appears to at least be fixed for my initial testing here and the face id seems to now continue to remember your actual logins especially for banking application.
If you were having that issue I would like to know from you in the comments down below and let me know if this beta fixed it for you as well aside from that, the only thing we have left to talk about is expected release date, apple could be taking next week off and then releasing the software on the 17th of September or even on the 24th of September so oftentimes apple takes about a week's break so this could be the last beta before the RC and then the official release so expect an RC after this and most likely an official release mid September, mid to late September if history is any indication and according to apples patterns and rumored events and everything that's happening right now.
So we can expect the official release for iOS 15 on September the 17th around that week of September right there we can expect iOS 15 RC uh before that obviously a couple of days before that maybe a week before that but this is pretty much ready to go again it feels a lot snappier, a lot smoother browsing through the OS third-party applications seem to be fixed face id and everything just feels snappier faster and better so we're in the right direction here. Let me know what you think about the latest beta if you found anything that I did not talk about in this video I would like to hear from you in those comments down below, thank you for watching guys and I'll see you real soon peace
