iOS 15.5 Developer Beta 2: Additional Details and New Features

Welcome back to our channel, guys! I'm here to share with you some additional details and new features that I've noticed after using the second beta of iOS 15.5 for about a week now. The first thing I want to talk about is the Apple Account Card, which is one of the new features that ios 15.5 aims to bring a new Apple Account Card that you'll be able to add to the Wallet of your iPhone, so that you can make purchases for applications, movies, and TV shows. Essentially, your Apple account into a card that would go into the wallet. This isn't a feature that's already enabled in ios 15.5 however there's source code within the actual software that suggests Apple is moving forward with this feature with 15.5 now.

Within the Wallet application on the latest 15.5 beta, we have two new buttons - request and send - which are not visible on previous versions of the software. This is something new here with the latest beta for ios 15.5. Next, I'd like to show you something that's also new here and that is within the HomePod. If you own a HomePod and do have several around the studio, go into your HomePod and then tap into the HomePod settings via 3D touch or long press, scroll all the way to the bottom, and you'll have your additional settings for HomePod well, now you have a Wi-Fi signal indicator which was not present on previous versions of ios and homepod os so you can now see the Wi-Fi like the signal where the actual signal strength within the Wi-Fi network settings right there for the HomePod something minor but yet something new here as well.

Another thing I want to talk about is if we go into let's say messages right here where we have apple pay instead of saying apple pay, let me show you here on a previous beta so instead of saying apple pay it actually says apple cash as you can see right there. So, let me go and show you here so on the 15.5 beta 2 it says apple icon and then the cash on previous beta it says the apple icon and pay you see that so right there the black icon has been renamed from apple pay to apple cash so that's minor within messages but as you can see right there definitely something that's new I'm not sure if Apple is rebranding this whole apple card and apple pay system situation but it looks like that's something that's new within the latest beta as well.

Finally, let's talk about expected release dates for the next beta. Apple has been on a two-weeks release schedule and if they do continue on that schedule, the next beta will most likely arrive on the first week of May starting May 2nd however if apple was to switch to a weekly release schedule as of this week we can expect the next beta as early as tomorrow the 27th and we'll have to wait and see of course make sure you stay tuned here and subscribe to the channel for additional details in regards to ios 15.5 and beyond there you guys have it, ios 15.5 additional details new features and changes thank you for watching today's video guys and I'll see you on the next one peace
