MSI Gaming Desktops & Notebooks Go SLIM!

A Closer Look at MSI's Latest Equipment at Computex 2017

Hey guys, Eber here with hurricane X and we're here at Computex 2017 and this time around we're checking out the msi booth while they have a lot of things on display a few systems really sit out and we just had to cover them. But first, a quick message from our sponsor because without them this coverage wouldn't be possible. Our coffee leg strip is brought to you by Fan Tech School Master and MSI.

Let's start with the smallest system we've seen so far, the Vortex G25 VR. Yeah, I know we have had all that enough of the whole VR branding thing, but what counts is this little beast. Specifications-wise, it looks like MSI has been able to cram a 7th generation Core i7 desktop class CPU into it using components that were originally miniaturized for the notebook space. The model they have on display featured a 7th generation Core i7 desktop class CPU, but I was told that the production model would feature the upcoming Coffee Lake CPU, which is a pretty big deal considering its size.

The G25 VR also features an NVIDIA GTX 1070 graphics card, which should make it just as powerful as some of today's better gaming laptops. That's pretty amazing, especially when you consider how small it is - the G27 VR is only two and a half liters in volume, making it half the size of MSI's other systems at 23. The overall look is pretty sleek and stealthy too, with MSI's trademark black and red accents.

But what really sets the G25 VR apart is its compact design. It's not just small in terms of size; it's also ultra-thin, with a chassis that's only 17.7 millimeters at its thickest point. And despite all those impressive specs, it weighs around two kilograms - which is pretty awesome considering what's inside.

The G25 VR also comes with an RGB keyboard designed by SteelSeries, and I have to say, I'm a big fan of SteelSeries keyboards, especially in a notebook form factor. It looks like MSI has really put thought into the design here, making sure everything fits together seamlessly. And it's not just the keyboard - the G25 VR also features advanced ESS Sabre high-five back with 24-bit 192 kilohertz high-res audio.

Now, I know some of you might be thinking that this is all well and good, but what really sets the G25 VR apart is its display. MSI decided to use a 1080p 120Hz TN panel with a fast three millisecond response time - which is pretty impressive considering the price point. But what's really exciting is that the user can also opt for a 4K HDR IPS display, even though there isn't all that much HDR content right now. It still looks amazing and we'll have to cover that more in the future.

While there will be showing a lot more desktops and notebooks from MSI at Computex, we just didn't have the time to cover them all. So, stay tuned for a lot more coverage from us here on hurricane X. Let us know your thoughts about the G25 VR slim tower desktop PC and the Stealth Pro gaming notebook - Berto connects, thank you so much for watching, and we'll see you in the next one.

Next Up: The MSI G63 VR Stealth Pro

Now that we've taken a closer look at the Vortex G25 VR, it's time to move on to the MSI G63 VR Stealth Pro. This is another compact system from MSI, designed to deliver high-performance gaming without breaking the bank. In this section, we'll take a closer look at what makes the G63 VR Stealth Pro tick.

The G63 VR Stealth Pro isn't exactly an Ultrabook - it's available in a 15-inch form factor, which is a bit larger than some of MSI's other systems. However, despite its size, the chassis is still ultra-thin and lightweight, making it easy to carry around. And with a GTX 970 graphics card and an i7 7700 HQ CPU, this system has all the power you need for serious gaming.

One of the standout features of the G63 VR Stealth Pro is its keyboard - which, like the G25 VR, features an RGB design from SteelSeries. I have to say, I'm a big fan of SteelSeries keyboards, and this one does not disappoint. It looks sleek and professional, making it perfect for anyone who spends a lot of time gaming.

But what really sets the G63 VR Stealth Pro apart is its display. Like the G25 VR, MSI has opted for a 1080p 120Hz TN panel with a fast three millisecond response time. And like before, the user can also opt for a 4K HDR IPS display - which will be exciting to see in action.

Overall, the MSI G63 VR Stealth Pro is another impressive system from MSI that's sure to appeal to anyone looking for high-performance gaming without breaking the bank. With its compact design, powerful specs, and sleek SteelSeries keyboard, this system has everything you need to take your gaming to the next level.

Series desktop either since MSI also has the higher-end g65 VR you remember that one it looks like a Mac Pro but how did MSI actually achieve this design without sacrificing on the specs well they once again look towards a small form-factor market and thin and light notebooks for inspiration that means a compressed heatsink layout that still has eight independent heat pipes and two small blood quiet fans it's also important to mention that MSI's incorporated a high-end audio codec to ensure you get the best possible sound from their small machine next up is this the g63 VR stealth pro now I know I mentioned that we'd be focusing on compact designs in this video and this notebook isn't exactly Ultrabook sized since it will only be available in a 15 inch form factor but it's chassis is
