My WILDEST Earbuds - Sony LinkBuds!

**Sony LinkBuds: The Earbuds with a Hole**

The Sony LinkBuds are a unique and innovative pair of earbuds that have left many people surprised and impressed. One of the most notable features of these earbuds is their design, which includes a hole in the shape of the ear canal. This design allows for an unparalleled level of comfort and sound quality. The earbuds are shaped to fit snugly into the ear, with no adjustment necessary after putting them on.

The Sony LinkBuds also come equipped with various features that enhance the user experience. For example, users can tap on the earbuds to pause music or activate Google Assistant, among other commands. Additionally, the earbuds have a "speak to chat" feature that pauses music for 15 seconds when someone is speaking to you. This feature is not ideal, as it can also pause music if you're singing along. However, it's still a convenient feature that sets these earbuds apart from others.

The audio quality of the Sony LinkBuds is impressive, considering their unique design. The earbuds produce surprisingly loud sound, with bass present and clear highs. This makes them suitable for commuting, working out, or any other activity where you want to enjoy high-quality music without distractions. The mic quality is also crystal clear, thanks to AI-powered noise suppression that enhances the voice while suppressing ambient noise.

In terms of battery life, the Sony LinkBuds offer around 5.5 hours of usage on a single charge. However, with the charging case, users can get an additional 12 hours of playback time. This is not the longest battery life among earbuds, but it's still sufficient for most users.

One of the standout features of the Sony LinkBuds is their ability to analyze the user's ear shape and provide optimal audio quality based on that shape. This is a remarkable achievement, considering the unique design of the earbuds. The analysis process allows the earbuds to adjust their sound output accordingly, ensuring that each listener gets the best possible experience.

Overall, the Sony LinkBuds are an innovative and impressive pair of earbuds that have left many people impressed. Their unique design, combined with advanced features like AI-powered noise suppression and audio quality optimization, make them a standout in the market. With their comfortable fit, impressive sound quality, and convenient features, it's no wonder why these earbuds are generating so much buzz.

**Comparison to Other Earbuds**

The Sony LinkBuds seem to be missing some of the features that other earbuds offer, such as transparency mode. Transparency mode allows users to hear their surroundings while listening to music, which can be useful in certain situations. However, it's not clear whether this feature will be available on future software updates or if it's exclusive to these earbuds.

Some earbuds, like the AirPods and newer Beats models, have also made a name for themselves with their ability to track sounds around them, making music sound more immersive. The Sony LinkBuds' unique design allows for impressive audio quality, but it's not clear how this compares to other earbuds in terms of overall performance.

**Conclusion**

The Sony LinkBuds are an innovative and impressive pair of earbuds that have left many people surprised and impressed. Their unique design, combined with advanced features like AI-powered noise suppression and audio quality optimization, make them a standout in the market. With their comfortable fit, impressive sound quality, and convenient features, it's no wonder why these earbuds are generating so much buzz. Whether or not they'll be enough to outdo other earbuds in terms of overall performance remains to be seen, but for now, they're certainly worth checking out.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwhat's going on guys it's your average consumer and today we are checking out the most unique pair of earbuds i think any of us have ever seen these right here are the sony link buds and we got a lot to talk about but first let's check out what you get in the box when you pick this up so when you first get your hands on these you'll see that the box is actually really tiny but what's cool here is that there's absolutely no plastic involved with the packaging but once you pop it open you're greeted with like the usb cable but under that you'll find a bunch of paperwork which you know of course we're going to skip then you get access to the wing tips which actually plays a pretty pivotal role in these earbuds at least for me but what's interesting here is that instead of the typical three sizes you've got five total that come with the earbuds but let's take a look at the actual earbuds and their case once you get it out of the wrapping you'll see this case is absolutely tiny and the first thing you'll notice when you're looking at the case is that it feels like it's made of recycled plastics which it is so sony's definitely being environmentally conscious here and these actually feel very smooth and nice in the hand but you just can't get over how tiny they are but once you pop the case open there you have it these are the earbuds themselves and as you can see it's a pretty crazy design now guys tell me have you ever seen earbuds that look like these no you haven't i can guarantee it but these are absolutely crazy so what we've got right here is we've got this tiny little bud and this ring where you actually get to hear the audio come from so it's got this 12 millimeter ring and this is where the speaker is and this is where all the internals are so that you can of course listen to your music get all those features all that good stuff it's wild there's an actual hole in the earbuds which you would think why do i want a hole in the earbuds that doesn't make any sense shouldn't it just be all closed off so you can just focus on your audio well these are specifically made to let ambient noise in we've been seeing features like transparency mode and new earbuds so that we can kind of get an idea of what's going on around us but someone just takes that idea to the next level and straight up cut a hole out obviously this is a really wild design now you might be wondering how do they fit in the ear do they sit in fine and this is why as i mentioned those wingtips are so important for me i don't know how many times i've said it on this channel but your boy has really oddly shaped ears so earbuds don't typically stay in my ears unless they're in earbuds which have the little tip that can kind of sit comfortably in my ear canal i struggle with these as well uh carl on the other hand we why do we always have to go through this but i just want to make it clear for you guys but once you've got that little hook right here the earbuds can sit really really comfortably put the wingtip inside there bam for me i don't quite have that luxury i'm kind of mad because if you see it in carl's ear you see just how how perfectly it sits inside of here i'm sure carl can do jumping jacks if no problem they're just gonna stay in place why me so if you are someone who struggled with earbuds in the past having them stay in your ears i know jay and i are in the same boat thank you jn are in the same boat so if you're someone who maybe you've struggled with the original air pods those had a hard time seeing your ear chances are these might give you some trouble as well unless you use one of the really large wingtips i think i'm using the large but there's also an extra large so thankfully sony gives you quite a few options here but obviously this is dependent on your own ear everyone's mileage will vary for me with the wing tip i have an easier time keeping them in my ear but i can't do any crazy activities because they will fall out so just a tale of caution for folks like me and jay you're going to want to really try out those ear tips if you struggle with earbuds but while we're on the topic of the design as you can see they come in two different colors we've got the black over here and i believe this is just the white i like them both i think they both look really clean in terms of just like the colors i've been liking white earbuds a lot lately and i think these look awesome and especially since they've got like that recycled material look to them you can see the little speckles of i don't know recycled bits inside of it so it looks nice so we have an idea of what these look like what they feel like how compact they are right now let's talk about the features biggest one of course being the ring which allows you to hear ambient noise around you and what's awesome is like i can throw these into my ears and there's no volume shift in my voice because i can tell what's going on around me usually if i'm putting in like i don't know the airpods pros or any in earbuds my volume goes my voice goes just a little bit higher i start projecting a little louder because i can't hear myself as well you hear clear as day obviously because your ears are still pretty open these are like open back headphones but in earbud form which is just a crazy concept i feel like the closest thing we had to this kind of look were the galaxy buds the buds live there's a million galaxy buds out there but the ones that look like beans they shared a very similar concept except for obviously not the whole but it was a very different take on what earbuds could look like but the form factor of d is just a fair reminiscent of that but with earbuds like this it is absolutely great when you want to listen to something on your whatever device it's connected to but you still want to hear what's going on around you now sony made these with the idea of all day listening so if you're at work or if you're at the gym wherever you may be you can kind of just keep these on if somebody comes up and starts talking to you there's actually a feature where you can speak and it automatically pauses your audio or you can just pause it yourself and you can hear what's going on i know all of us have experience having earbuds in our ears somebody says something to you you have no idea they go up and they tap you and you're like okay you know you don't have you don't have to deal with that anymore you know you just got you can hear everything even if you've got audio playing now if you're concerned that oh i don't always want to hear what's going on around me you put your volume up loud enough you can still kind of drown out what's going on around you so if that's maybe a partial concern of yours crank up the volume enough and you can definitely drown out some stuff around you but of course there's no active noise canceling that is not what these are about that is a feature we're seeing on almost all earbuds these days but these are the absolute opposite of what those kind of earbuds are trying to accomplish we actually found some scenarios where these were really useful carl and i actually shot a video for our anime channel and we needed to listen to the audio of what was going on on the computer watching the clips but we still needed to be able to hear each other and this allowed no barriers to be between us while we were listening to the content i think in a lot of scenarios this is actually something that's going to be very useful and i feel like we're going to be using these moving forward whenever we shoot those videos now i love transparency mode because i like to know what's going on around me especially if somebody's calling me it's really nice to be able to kind of be connected with whatever is on your device and also not cut off to the real world now if you're familiar with sony earbuds you know they've got a lot of features especially in their headphones app sony packs a ton of features in these earbuds it's mind-blowing i'm sure there are a lot of folks out there who have no idea just the amount of things these earbuds or most of sony's earbuds or headphones are capable of and it's it's insane these are in the same boat but one of the features that i want to talk about is called wide area tap now we all know how earbuds work where you can control your audio you can skip music by tapping and doing all that this one you don't actually have to tap the earbuds themselves they have this feature called wide area tap which means you can tap this portion of your face and i can go like this but right now my music is playing i can double tap again and it's paused that is insane and let me tell you why this is really useful now if you have earbuds where you have access to some like audio controls chances are you've experienced trying to change them and then they shift the earbuds in your ears and you got to readjust and you know kind of fix it up again with this you tap right here you're not touching the earbuds you're just touching that that portion right in front of your ear no adjustment necessary afterwards you just tap get what you want to get done and boom your earbuds stay in place nicely now what's nice is that you can go into the headphones app and set whatever command you wanted to do when you do these taps so whether it's skip a track volume up activate google assistant you have the options to change up what the double tap or triple tap does it also has that speak to chat feature that i mentioned earlier so if someone's speaking to you and you say something it'll automatically pause your music for i think 15 seconds which you definitely want to decrease that to like five seconds or something 15 is far too long so that feature is kind of cool just make sure you're not singing along with your music because that will pause it too you'll also be able to analyze your ear shape to provide the best audio quality based on the ear shape that you have it's crazy that they can do that but it's absolutely possible they'll also auto power off when you're not wearing them for a while and even if they're not in their case you throw them over here for a little bit and then to automatically turn off to conserve some battery so a lot of awesome sony earbud features are built into this guy so you can definitely take advantage of those but the big question is how do they sound how can earbuds shape like this with a hole how can they produce good sound and the thing is they just do these actually sound really good they're actually surprisingly loud like i mentioned earlier if you crank these up enough you can still drown out what's going on around you so these do sound really impressive even bass is present which you probably wouldn't expect but i actually walked away from these really impressed just based on the fact that these earbuds are shaped like this i just going into it couldn't imagine that it produced the kind of audio quality that it does now if you're curious about how the mic quality sounds on these we'll show you some samples here sony's got some ai built into these so it's supposed to provide crystal clear audio where it suppresses the background noise and enhances the voice but you can be the judge for yourself just hanging out with my friend jay doing a mic check what's your favorite game right now it's gotta be pikmin pikmin is a classic game now i do think you go into this knowing what you're signing up for you know that you're going to be letting ambient noise in you're not getting just like that isolated here's your music and music only you're getting like your music and the rest of the world they go for 179.99 which actually isn't a bad price considering what it is all about and the audio quality that you get the level of comfort that some people are able to achieve with them so i think that's a pretty fair price i like it i like the concept of being able to keep these on all day they're actually really comfortable except for when they fall out the air that's the only time there's an issue but when i've got my big wing additional 12 here you get five here so that's like you know 17 and a half hours not leading the pack in any way but these are pretty small earbuds so you can't expect a ton of battery to come from them but if your earbuds are completely dead charge them for about 10 minutes and you get 90 minutes of playback perfectly fine for a commute home but that about wraps it up for this video guys this is the craziest pair of earbuds that i have ever seen nothing comes close there's a hole in it what do you guys think of the sony link buds do these seem like something that you'd be interested in are you guys think until next video guys it's your average consumer i'll catch you guys in the next one peace yeah i got holes in him there's nothing left to say that's the thing get the sony link bus to buds do these seem like something that you'd be interested in are you more interested in transparency mode from other earbuds which can sound really pretty crummy except for the airpods those do a really good job and some of the newer beats but i want to know what you guys think until next video guys it's your average consumer i'll catch you guys in the next one peace yeah i got holes in him there's nothing left to say that's the thing get the sony link bus to watch our anime channel guys to watch it oh you're right your anime channel will have it linked down below\n"
