What's Up Guys: iOS 11 Developer Beta 7 Released

Hey guys, my name is Brandon and Apple has just released iOS 11 developer beta 7, which arrived on my iPhone 7 around 12:40 PM. The update came in at just over 100 megabytes, which is a bit smaller than I expected.

I'm not going to allow you guys to wait for me to finish the video, because I really want to go out and see the solar eclipse that's happening right now. So, we're going to run through some of these changes real quick, but keep in mind that this video might be a bit shorter than usual.

Before I get started, let me just confirm that the build number for iOS 11 beta 7 is 15A5252a. This isn't the GM build, which suggests that we'll likely see a beta 8 for iOS 11 at some point soon. It's also worth noting that this update is not the first time Apple has released an early version of iOS, but it's still exciting to see them move forward with their development process.

So, what changes did I notice in iOS 11 beta 7? Well, there's one notable change: 3D Touch on the Music Icon. When nothing is playing, you'll now see a music icon on the screen instead of just a blank space or some cover art. However, if you click on it, it won't take you to the Music app. I'm not sure why Apple decided to make this change, but it's definitely a bit disappointing.

The 3D Touch feature is still present in beta 7, although there is a slight stutter when interacting with icons. The App Store icon is unchanged from previous versions of iOS, which suggests that Apple is sticking with the existing design. It's worth noting that some people don't like the new look of the App Store icon, but it seems that Apple is determined to keep it.

Other than these changes, I didn't notice anything else significant in iOS 11 beta 7. This isn't surprising, given that this is a developer release and not the final version of iOS. The update might include some bug fixes or minor improvements, but there aren't any major new features.

let's go and take a look at the build number here for iOS 11 beta 7 let's go to about here and you can see it is 15 a 5 3 6 2 a so another long bill number pretty much you know indicating that this is not the GM build so it's looking likely that we are going to get a beta 8 for iOS 11 at least it's looking that way right now and as far as changes I really only noticed one change would be 3d touch on the music icon there you're going to notice that we now have a music icon when nothing is playing here for the music before it wasn't like that was either just blank or it showed some cover up for music but now it shows the music icon which I don't really think it looks like good in my opinion if you click on it doesn't take you to the music app or anything so kind of weird there I think that's a little bit of a downgrade I kind of wish it was like it was in beta 6 but that is one of the first changes I noticed here in iOS 11 beta 7 and as far as the 3d touch stutter it is still there in beta 7 unfortunately if you go and 3d touch on any icon you're going to notice a slight stutter here even on the iPhone 7 that's where the icons the App Store icon is the same every icon is the same as it was in beta 6 so it's looking like this app store icon is here to stay and a lot of people don't like the look of the new app store icon but it's looking like Apple is going to stick with that in iOS 11 but other than that it's not looking like anything else has changed here in beta 7 which isn't too surprising but this is really the first beta where you know on first install within the first 10 15 minutes I haven't found multiple new features and changes I always on one change so far but again you know there's gonna be more discovered later on in the week so make sure you're
