Top Web Stories of the Day: August 21st, 2015

Hello and welcome to my channel, I'm Jacques Slade, and these are your top web stories of the day. Today is Friday, August 21st, 2015, and we've got a lot to talk about.

First up, let's take a look at NBA Live. The game has been receiving mixed reviews over the past few years, but it seems like they're trying to change that this year. Today, they released a video showcasing some of the shoes that players can wear during the game, and I have to say, it looks amazing. They've included some of the most iconic shoes in the series, such as the Jordan 1, Jordan 2, and Drew III. The detailing on these shoes is incredible, with the Nike Air branding on the back for those who care about that sort of thing.

I also want to share a story from Ball State that's just too good not to tell. A freshman there took a half-court shot to win free tuition, and let me tell you, it was priceless when he made it. His expression after hitting the shot is still replaying in my head, and how he ran around the court is truly awesome. I wish they had a camera on his mom and dad, though - can you imagine their reaction? Straight out of this content has made them a ton of money, and people are going crazy about it.

There's also been some rumors circulating about a sequel to the movie "Straight Outta Compton," which would include Snoop Dogg and Tupac. But don't worry, Ice Cube and Universal have shut down those rumors today, saying that there are no plans for the film at this time. Although, there is news about a two-part biopic being written right now, but there are no actors attached to the script.

On a related note, Jordan Brand has been struggling with releases over the past couple of weeks, but hopefully they get it right next week for the Georgia Six Low Chrome shoe. This low-top shoe features a black upper with white metallic silver accents, and I have to say, it looks absolutely great. The price is going to be $175 when this drop next weekend, which is significantly cheaper than if they charge for the mid-top version.
