came out like a month ago i'd say and these airpod pros have almost been out for like two years it feels like both of these are the best from apple and samsung and we will be comparing them in a head-to-head battle to see which is better apple or samsung i will have all their official scoring linked in my website custom adventures.com but for this comparison version i will only be rewarding each earbud a point if they win a certain round so if they win like the audio quality then they get a point but the others don't get a point and we'll add the points up at the end and see who's the winner let's begin all right we got the two packages side by side galaxy with pro and the air pods pro one is black one is white we both have images of the headphones on the front both have nice looking cases got our logos on the side tab on the top for the galaxy buds logos again inspect things keep the watch bruh bleeding through yeah i mean all right opening the two we get a tab that says designed by apple in california for the air pods the galaxy buds get them right away oh the matte black packaging just looks nice just very sleek beautiful the airpods pro take that out get a little insert also clean looking personally i prefer the the matte black just looks sicker to me take out the air pods take out the galaxy buds and the rest of the packaging for the airpods we have two pairs of extra ear tips and a usb-c to lightning charging cable as for the galaxy buds you have a little box right here a little tab to open and your charger you also get another tiny little box with your ear tips in it i think it's a cool little touch can't really see these very well the ear tips are in here even though my camera can't see it for some reason overall for the packaging i'm going to give the win to the galaxy bits pro just because they're matte black and they look sick and all the accessories just look sick too but the air pods are still good let's get into the price the airpods pro come in at 250 us dollars and i've seen them go down to 200 and 250 they all they fluctuate through between that price the galaxy but the pro on the other hand they started at 200 us dollars there's lots of discounts and i saw them at best buy for 230 us dollars so for this one the galaxy buds take the win all right now let's get into the audio quality i would say that this happens to be the most important area after listing the two side by side this is the conclusion i've come down to they both sound really really good but overall in my opinion i think the galaxy buds pro sound better they just have more depth the audio is just more like 3d also the bass is just overall better and just crispier bass and you can adjust the sound in the app with an equalizer the airpods pro they sound really really good and they're really loud but their overall audio i feel is like flat like not like flat but they just are really balanced overall and personally i like a little bit more bass it just sounds better to me and the air pods are just overall more balanced if you like more vocals in the gala than the airpods pro would probably win for you but for me personally the galaxy was pro win this round now for the mic quality all right so in previous years the airpods pro have been the champ in this area they've just been the best but the galaxy buds plus have been a close second i just think it's that software for the airpods pro with their noise canceling they're able to single out your voice and cut out the background noises really well that other brands i just have not seen them do it at all now this is the ultimate test we'll be testing both right here with our mic quality samples and we'll see who's better alright this is in a normal setting all right so in my ears right now are the galaxy buds pro and this is the my quality you can expect from them testing testing one two three hopefully you can hear my voice loud and clear i'm just talking with them in my ears as if i'll be like on phone call or anything like that all right so in my ears right now are the airpods pro and this is my quality you can expect from them testing testing one two three i hope they sound pretty good um they should be a step up from the previous generation now this is in a loud crowded setting and yeah we'll also be including the stadium crowd effect noise in this ready to get set go all right now i have the stadium in the background and this is my quality for expecting them especially testing and tv because this loud and clear and yeah i will also be including the uh background noise and we're gonna see how they do with that ready to get set go all right now we have background noise of a stadium and hopefully it sounds pretty good still and you can just hear me talking and uh yeah so testing testing one two three turn the volume up even more as high as it can go and uh yeah let's go and overall for the mic quality the airpods pro take the win mainly for their performance in the crowd sound area they just seem to block out the outside noise and allow your voice to come through a lot better than the galaxy buds pro the galaxy pro are almost there but not quite now for the battery life all right in the past both of these companies have had really really good battery overall how will that compare this year we'll see all right let's talk about their claims the galaxy about the pro claim to get eight hours of audio playback with an additional 20 hours with the case they do not specify if this is without anc or ambient mode on but this is what they say on their website the airpods pro claim to get five hours of audio playback with an additional 24 hours with the case all right all right these are all claims but luckily for you guys i did a battery drain test on these and the galaxy buds pro i had anc on for three hours and full volume for three hours and then the rest of the time i had half volume and anc off and here are my results the airpods pro got five hours and 11 minutes and the galaxy but pro got four hours in 56 minutes thus crowning the airpods pro the champion in the battery area out of these two now for the features they both have a lot of similar features they both connect right as you pull them out of the case they both have wireless charging they both have active noise cancellation and ambient mode they both have software support for the airpods they have their support on ios and you can download third-party ones to make them work on android as for the galaxy but they work on android and they have their full app with all their functions but they only work on android which is kind of disappointing when it comes the active noise cancellation the airpods pro in my opinion have better noise cancellation than the galaxy buds they just seem to block off the noise and the the ambient noise is just a little bit better than the galaxy leds pro but they still do both a really good job and as for the ambient mode i would say the airpods pro also win in this area they just sound so natural like they're your own ear the galaxy buds just have this white noise that is kind of it really makes me mad personally but it's just this white noise and they're really they're just they're the mics are just not as good as i wish they were all right now we're going to go over the apps and the software function you've got some functions right here you can switch between noise cancellation and ambient mode and then you can turn them off you can adjust your touch settings here ear tip fit test automatic ear detection connect to this iphone spatial audio pretty much just 3d dimensional like audio it's really cool microphone optimized battery charging those are other information it appears we're all connected active noise cancellation and ambient sound holy crap there's so much to go through all right let's go through the settings we got here voice attack you can do voice tech ambient mode active noise cancellation let me update those in a sec block touches okay these are the touch controls very cool very cool equalizer you can adjust everything read out loud notifications that's cool advanced labs gaming mode find my earbuds well we won't do a different app general reset holy crap these things are insane whoa all right now for the design of the cases looking at the two side by side they both they have two distinct designs but personally i prefer the one on the airpods pro that's because they stay in better in my ear and they also have the superior touch functions they may look a little
