The Joy of Gift Giving: A Personalized Review of My Recent Acquisitions

As I sat down to write about my recent gift haul, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and gratitude. It all started when my daughter approached me with an idea - she wanted to get me something special for my birthday. I told her that I had been eyeing some workout clothes at Walmart, and she suggested that we check them out together.

We spent the afternoon browsing through the aisles, searching for the perfect pair of pants. And then, it happened - they were right there in front of us, waiting to be discovered. My daughter was thrilled when she found the exact item I had been coveting, and we both ended up getting something amazing. The yellow top with a cool design on the back caught my eye immediately, and I couldn't wait to try it on.

I have to say that I'm absolutely obsessed with this workout top. The loose-fitted design is perfect for comfort and style, and I love how easy it is to move around in. My daughter knew just what to get me - something that would make me happy, without breaking the bank. And at $X, it's a steal! I've been wearing it nonstop since I got it, and I can already tell it's going to be one of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe.

But wait, there's more! My mom had other plans for my birthday, too. She knew that I'd been wanting some new sports equipment, so she surprised me with a great deal on a few extra items. As we were celebrating my daughter's 16th birthday, my mom mentioned that she was cleaning up after the Christmas festivities and wanted to use her trusty old $40 vacuum cleaner from Walmart. Little did she know, this humble appliance would soon become a vital tool in our household.

As it turns out, my mom has been using my good old vacuum cleaner for all of its worth - until it reached the end of its life cycle, that is. When I found out about her plan to replace it with a new one, I was overjoyed. And guess what? It turned out to be an amazing deal! The new vacuum cleaner has been a game-changer for us, gliding effortlessly across our floors and picking up dirt and dust with ease.

Of course, no gift haul would be complete without mentioning the all-important makeup palette. My daughter had been eyeing the Too Faced Peach Palette for ages, but it seemed like an unattainable luxury item until she finally got her hands on one. As for me? Well, let's just say that I've been waiting patiently for what feels like forever - until my mom surprised me with this gorgeous peach-colored palette.

I must say that the packaging alone is enough to make anyone fall in love with this product. The design is adorable, and the scent of peaches wafting from the box is heavenly. But it's not just about looks - these shadows are incredibly pigmented and blend seamlessly into my skin. I've been experimenting with different techniques, trying to recreate the gorgeous looks that Ciao Bella XO showcases in her tutorials.

Speaking of tutorials, I recently watched one by Megan Lee featuring this same peach palette, and I was blown away by her skill and creativity. Her boyfriend, Anthony, did an amazing job voicing over the tutorial, adding a touch of humor and charm to the whole experience. I'm excited to try out some of the looks she shared in her video, using my new favorite makeup product.

As I wrap up this article, I have to say that I feel incredibly grateful for all of these wonderful gifts. My daughter's thoughtfulness and creativity are truly inspiring, and I know that I'll be enjoying these items for a long time to come. things I got there are a couple of big ticket items especially one that I was not planning on getting so excited to share that with you but most of all they're kind of little things and a lot of it I bought for myself but it was still super fun unwrapping it from under the Christmas tree because a part of me kind of forgot about some of the stuff and then a part of me remembered some of it and was really excited to open it and use it so that's what we're gonna do today now if you're curious as to what I wanted for Christmas I made that video as well so I'll link it down below but yeah so let's go ahead and get started and jump right in so the very first thing that I got is this rope right here now it's kind of hard to see all in the viewfinder but oh my goodness it's so soft and I actually got this at Ulta free with purchase I bought my daughter a perfume for Christmas and when you were buying perfume at the time the deal was that you got a free robe so yes I wrapped a free gift with purchase item and gifted it to myself the next thing that I got was a pajama like dress kind of thing it's not too long it probably let me see this hits about mid thigh and of course it's plaid and I really wanted a pajama set I wanted a plaid like pajama set pants and bottom but we couldn't find one so my mom got me this it's from forever 21 I don't know how much it cost but it is from forever 21 it's it just feels super light so I bet I could wear this all year round and of course I love that it's plaid the next thing that I got was a pajama set so I was really excited because I wasn't expecting this at all this came from my brother and sister-in-law and this is super cute and I can't begin to describe like the quality but it's like it's really nice and it's from Old Navy so I was really surprised by it and it's a really cute pattern and I love how matchy-matchy it is and the bottoms have like a really nice waistband which I really really liked as well this Christmas was super fun because my daughter finally got her license so if you kind of follow me on snapchat or my blog then you probably already know this but I have a 16 year old she finally got her license and she was really excited because she was feeling some independence and she's always wanted to shop for me and obviously in the years past she's always basically either not gotten anything or like had to rely on my mom and my mom honestly has never always thought to do to give me something from my daughter so so most of the time I've never gotten anything into the tree from her but it was just so fun for me to see how excited she was to go get me things and it was just it was super sweet and so I couldn't wait to open up her gifts because I wanted to see how what she wanted to get for me you know and I knew that that was gonna be really special and so I was really surprised that one of the first things which I've already worn to death are these cute little like house slippers they're in the shape of a shoe basically but they are basically like a really durable sock with this like little faux fur lining and I mean I wear the heck out of these and they have a little like rubber grip ease at the bottom so love these and I love that she thought of that because I made a comment about wanting some slippers and then the next thing that she got me is this shirt and it's kind of hard to read but it says Hufflepuff and hufflepuff if you don't know what that is it's probably because you're not a Harry Potter fan so if you are a die-hard Harry Potter fan then you're like oh Hufflepuff does that mean that's the house you've been sorted into well so here's the deal okay I took the test I really didn't give it my all so I ended up being Hufflepuff but I really feel like deep down into my core that I'm Griffin and she knows this and yet she still got me a Hufflepuff sure and she's like just deal with it that's the house you've been sorted into and I'm like fine so she got me a Hufflepuff shirt and I love it and I've already worn it basically two days in a row the next thing that I got was for my mom and I was there when she bought it because I picked it out and said ooh I like it so we were on our way out of the mall going through Nordstrom's and saw these amazing shoes I think their house shoes like there's no way on earth I would wear these out in public but it's an actual shoe and this is the brand Tom's I'm not really a Tom's person but I will tell you that the amazing thing about Tom's is that with every pair you purchase TOMS will give a pair of new shoes to a child in need so it's like a one for one thing so that's really amazing so every time you buy a pair of shoes they donate a pair of new shoes to a child in need so here's what the back looks like the back is really cool kind of has this like corduroy feel to it and then it's got this plaid lining and I mean look at this this is like this is like a shoe people I mean but I wouldn't wear this in public I I love this because I wanted it to kind of wear around the house but it's also just enough it's like more of a slipper so that I can like go take the trash out early in the morning or something like that you know walk on concrete with it so I really love this shoe and it's plaid because you know why and the amazing thing about this is that they weren't not that much I forget how much they were I don't remember how much they were I think they were like 30 or 40 bucks so I mean I don't really spend that much on shoes but for Toms I guess that's a really great price also got some fuzzies now these I hold in my Dollar Tree haul so you probably know about these and I made a comment that I was gonna put these in my stocking which I did and then these were from the home goods store I also picked them out but my mom bought them for me and they are just oh they're so think it's so oh my god it's so nice I have yet to wear these but the inside fills so nice the pattern is so adorable and yeah so she got these at the home goods store also in my stocking were these little cute stickers they're finding Dory stickers and you can get these at Dollar Tree you can also buy the sticker book at Dollar Tree and you basically open up these little packets and you find the number on the stickers and then you find the number in the sticker book and then you peel the sticker and put it in its spot it's so satisfying I can't even begin to tell you and then I bought this for myself I made like a little last-minute trip to Ulta right before Christmas and I saw these there recover cucumber iPads and my eyes are just you can't tell right now but if you watch my vlogs or like the days I don't wear makeup this like it's so so don't like dark and so I realized that I probably need to take care of my eyelids a little bit more and I saw these and thought that maybe they would help a little bit also wrapped this up for myself under the tree I hauled this also in one of my little random haul videos and this is from Tuesday morning and it's a puzzle I also picked this up for myself at Walmart I also got some of these for my daughter as well I thought they'd be really cute stocking stuffers and it's just a little like car sense and I got rainforest mist for myself and my daughter got lemon she made a comment about wanting lemon and so when I went to Walmart to get some like little lemon since I thought wait that would actually be cute for me too so I got this one and I got another one as well I got this one and they sell these smart scent vent clips Yankee Candle at Walmart and I got the smell McIntosh which is apples which I love so I'm excited to try this out look how cute it is yeah so you just kind of like plug this into your vent and I'm really gonna be into like trying to keep my car clean as much as possible because 2016 I haven't really taped been taking care of my cars so I'm gonna try now also for my daughter where these games I thought it was the sweetest thing ever because I love computer games love love love and so she went to Half Price Books and got me some computer games however two of them I already own as she felt so bad but she got me escape whisper valley which I already own already completed and she got me the thirteenth skull which also own already completed and she lost her seat so I don't know maybe this will end up in a giveaway because I still own these I have this the compact disc so I can download it to anything anytime even if I removed it from my computer I can read download it so maybe these will end up in a future giveaway and then she got she left me a little note and told me happy 27th birthday and I was like that's right that's right I turned 27 don't you forget it I didn't I turned 35 okay so she got me one of them I actually don't have and it's suburban mysteries the labyrinth of the past so looks super fun so this is like a computer game and it's basically like it's it's like a hidden object but it has a storyline and you don't just look for hidden objects you look for hidden objects to find certain clues so that you can like move around in the story and those are the best because hidden object games can be kind of boring if that's all it is hidden objects in the screen great got them all next you know but this is like house like a whole storyline in it and a map where you go to certain places and stuff so this one looks really fun and I can't wait to download it and use it the next thing that I got I got for myself and it's this whole like little outfit set from oh I'm missing some stuff okay I found it so I got myself an outfit set from forever 21 I actually put this in what I want for Christmas video and I just wanted some workout clothes because pretty much wear them on the daily and now that my cuff is gone I really want to get back to jogging which is like my thing I don't normally lift weights or do any of that I just left a jog but I'll tell you I'm feeling like my muscles are as loose as they should be so I really want to get into yoga and do some stretching and really stretch out my body a little bit more so I do want to get into some yoga and I love these pants and then I got this like matching sports bra look how cool the back is so cool I'm really really diggin like how cool like clothes are nowadays and then I got this little yellow bright yellow top the back is super cool it's kind of hard to tell because this yellow with the blinding light there we go but yeah so I love how like loose fitted it is above everything that I got this was the one thing I wanted the most and I my daughter wanted some ideas and I was like this is pretty inexpensive this is something she can get me and I took a picture of it when I saw it at Walmart and it's workout clothes and it was these pants right here oh my god I am obsessed with these pants and when I saw them I was gonna buy them for myself right away but then I was like no I know she'll want to get me something that I really really want and so I gave her that opportunity and she called me one day she was at Walmart she's like I don't see it and I was like and I knew they were there cuz I was just at Walmart and I was like it's fine you know no big deal and then I guess when she got off the phone with me she turned around and they were right there so I really didn't think I was getting them and then I got them so I'm super excited like I love how like I don't want to use the word dope cuz that's so I'm too old for that word but I love this I just love it I guess my generation would probably say something like hello McFly who remembers that statement from the 90s I also made a comment how I've wanted more sports for all because before Christmas hit I pretty much had like two and now I have quite a few now and then I got the one you just saw and then my daughter got me this one has like paint splatter it's super cool and look at the back it is mesh it's a racerback mesh and I love that which is breathable so that's really great and this is also from Walmart and a box like that's really an amazing deal the next thing that I got from my mom and it was a vacuum cleaner so when she came down to celebrate my daughter's 16th birthday and then I had my emergency laparoscopic appendectomy she was like cleaning up and using my good old $40 vacuum cleaner from Walmart and she was like oh no this got to get off and so she ordered me a new vacuum cleaner and it's like it's a dream now of course if you watch my what I want for Christmas video I really wanted robot Rosie Roomba whatever her name is I want a little robot that like goes around the house and cleans up but it's super expensive and I will take a Hoover pet vacuum any day it just glides so I have loved this vacuum cleaner so so this next thing I've wanted for ever for ever and it's the two-faced peanut butter palette to face I'm sorry but they're geniuses they know that the packaging alone will sell and not only do they do the cutest packaging in the world but their stuff smells like whatever it is that they're selling and this one smells like peanut butter and jelly look how gorgeous those colors are and then making it extra cute everything has like a peanut butter and jelly theme name you've got peanut butter peanut butter cup peanut brittle jamming jelly nuts about you extra creamy bananas spread the love and you also get like these and I'd I think they're like highlights I really don't know the camera isn't picking up there we go now that's closer to the real
