Surface Go Unboxing and First Look

**Unboxing and First Look: The Surface Go Tablet**

The Surface Go tablet is a worthy competitor to the iPad, with its sleek design and impressive features. Let's take a closer look at what comes out of the box.

As we open up the surface, we can see that it has a camera on the back, another camera, a microphone, and a power button and volume controls on top. The tablet also features a Surface connector, which is used for charging and connectivity. A 3.5mm headphone jack can be found on the bottom of the device, as well as new Pogo pin adapters that will not fit with older keyboards.

**Accessories and Packaging**

The Surface Go comes with a variety of accessories, including a power adapter, documentation, and an Alcantara signature type cover. The power adapter is smaller than previous models and folds out like a traditional power brick. This allows users to easily plug in the device on the go without having two separate pieces.

**Alcantara Type Cover**

The Alcantara type cover is one of the most distinctive features of the Surface Go. Made from the same material used in high-end sports cars, it provides a premium feel and look. Some people love it, while others hate it, but it's definitely a unique feature that sets the Surface Go apart from other devices.

**Keyboard and Accessories**

In addition to the type cover, the Surface Go also comes with a keyboard and mouse. The keyboard is designed to be compact and portable, making it easy to take on the go. However, some users may find it too small if they prefer a traditional laptop keyboard. The mouse is low-profile and magnetic, making it easy to attach and detach.

**Pen and Software**

The Surface Go also comes with a new pen that is tilt-sensitive. This allows for precise control and accurate writing. The device will be reviewed in more detail in the coming weeks, but this pen is definitely worth checking out. Users can set up the device using voice commands or continue using the keyboard. The device has a sleek design and feels fast to scroll through content.

**Conclusion**

Overall, the Surface Go tablet is a worthy competitor to the iPad, with its impressive features and premium design. While some users may not like the Alcantara type cover, it's definitely a unique feature that sets the device apart from other devices. The keyboard and mouse are compact but functional, making them perfect for on-the-go use. The pen and software are also promising, and will be reviewed in more detail in the coming weeks.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enI have Ron Aaron here for Zolo Tech and this is the Microsoft Surface go I did a quick look a few days ago and I got my hands on one this is the 128 gigabyte model it's got 8 gigabytes of RAM and the 4 4 15 Y Pentium Gold processor so let's take a look at that in just a moment I also picked up the pen these are about $100 this is 550 this is 35 and then depending on which keyboard you get it's either 99 or 129 this is the signature type cover with Alcantara we'll take a look at that in a moment let's open up the surface go and take a look at it let's remove the box and this is a pretty worthy iPad competitor at least I think it is it comes with Windows s it can be upgraded to pro for free so we'll take a look at that in a moment let's take this off here so here's the tablet itself you can see it has a camera here on the back you have another camera your microphone and then on the top you've got your power volume and then on this side you have your surface connector you also have a USB see that can be used for charging or connectivity 3.5 millimeter headphone jack then on the bottom we have some new Pogo pin adapters so this will not fit the older keyboards and then underneath here we have this surface stand and you can push it down it will not break although it's a little scary to do that and then you have your microSD card slot so you've got room for expansion so other than the hundred and twenty eight gigabytes built in you can put a micro SD card in there that holds a lot so then let's take a look at what comes in here we've got some documentation and here we have the power adapter so let's take a look at that so this power brick is a little bit smaller than the last one and it folds out like this so you've got the ability to just plug it in on the go you don't have two pieces and then you've got the surface connector here now aside from the surf itself we've got the Alcantara signature type cover let's open this up and you've just got a little pamphlet here with a piece of paper and then the type cover itself so this has Alcantara on it and that's used in high-end sports cars a lot of the headliners and steering wheels and seats are used in things like Ferraris and Lamborghinis it's got a nice feel to it some people love it some hate it I used it on a surface laptop for a while I really liked it so this is really nice and then if you want to attach it of course you just clip it into place so you just clip it in like that and then put the stand out and you're good to go now aside from the surface go and the keyboard I picked up the mouse because a lot of people were asking me to review it so it's $35 let's open it up it's got a really low profile you've got the mouse here if we pop this open here let's take a look it's magnetic and it comes with the two batteries inside but it's pretty nice but it's really small and portable so if you don't like low profile mice you might not like this one it's got a nice wheel and two clickable buttons in the middle as clickable but I'll use that for about a week before I do a full review on it aside from that we also have the pen I just pulled the sticker off here but this is the new pen that's also tilt sensitive so this should be interesting to check out as well but I'll use it for awhile let's set it up take a first look and go from there so I'll push the button on top and power it up there we go so it's taking a moment to load up and one thing is I want to try out and see how things like Fortnight work on this I'll do that in the review but you can see it says continuing selected language will hit yes so you can set up this with your voice or you can continue using the keyboard it's up to you it's actually pretty intuitive if you've ever set this up with your voice so we'll pick United States yes yes and this folds up as well so if you want to fold this up like that you can do that yes so we can scroll scrolling is nice on this so far it feels pretty fast the keyboard feels good just like the other surface keyboards so we're almost done setting it up and we'll continue from there so it's a little bit difficult to see in the sunlight it does have a good amount of reflectivity on it so I'll be checking this out over a week but let me know if you have any specific questions that haven't been answered I'll swear that you'd like to know I'll be trying it with Windows s and Windows Pro or Windows home on it and let you know if I can upgrade that for free in the App Store here the screen feels good the keyboard feels good so far and I think it's gonna be a worthy competitor to the iPad I'll let you know if it works well with Photoshop and some minor video editing let me know what you think in the comments below if you
