Driving the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera - SIMPLY ASTONISHING !

**Driving the DBS Superleggera: A Thrilling Experience**

As I slipped behind the wheel of the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. This was going to be an experience like no other, one that would put my driving skills to the test and push me to my limits. And boy, did it deliver.

**The Weighty Steering**

One of the first things that struck me about the DBS Superleggera was its weighty steering. It's clear that Aston Martin has prioritized performance over agility in this area, and while some may find it takes getting used to, I appreciated the sense of solidity and reassurance it provided as I navigated the twisty roads ahead.

**Accelerating with Authority**

As I put my foot down on the accelerator, I was struck by the sheer amount of power that was available at my fingertips. The DBS Superleggera is a car that doesn't shy away from its performance credentials, and it shows in the way it accelerates with authority and precision. Whether I was accelerating from a standstill or pushing hard through the corners, the DBS Superleggera responded eagerly to every command.

**Traction Control: A Welcome Companion**

While I didn't need to use the traction control system during our test drive, it's reassuring to know that it's there as an option. The carbon ceramic brakes, which were fitted on this particular car, are a key part of its performance package, and they demonstrate the level of commitment that Aston Martin has made to delivering exceptional braking capabilities.

**The Unassuming Nature of the DBS Superleggera**

One of the things that surprised me most about the DBS Superleggera was just how easy it is to drive. Despite its powerful engine and advanced performance features, this car doesn't feel aggressive or confrontational. Instead, it feels like a refined and polished machine that's capable of handling any situation with ease.

**A Car for All Occasions**

For me, the DBS Superleggera represents the perfect combination of performance, style, and refinement. Whether I'm driving through the city streets, tackling winding country roads, or simply cruising on the motorway, this car is always up to the task. And with its generous interior space and advanced technology features, it's a car that can be enjoyed by everyone.

**Aston Martin's Commitment to Quality**

As I continued to explore the DBS Superleggera during our test drive, I couldn't help but feel a sense of admiration for Aston Martin's commitment to quality and craftsmanship. Every aspect of this car, from its sleek exterior design to its sumptuous interior trim, demonstrates a level of attention to detail that's rare in modern cars.

**A Driving Experience Like No Other**

As I brought the DBS Superleggera to a close, I couldn't help but feel that I had experienced something truly special. This car is not just a machine; it's an experience. And for those who are lucky enough to get behind the wheel of one, it's an experience they'll never forget.

**A Final Word**

If you're considering purchasing a DBS Superleggera, I can only say that it's a decision worth making. This car is not just a luxury vehicle; it's a driving experience like no other. And with its generous specification and exceptional performance capabilities, it's a car that will keep you coming back for more time and again.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey guys and welcome to petrol ped and welcome to the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio now I've been driving this car for the last week thanks to Al from our UK in quite cold conditions and this car has 510 horsepower at 600 Newton meters of torque all through the rear wheels but I'm on my way to drive a car that's gonna up the ante just a little bit a car that I was actually at the global launch of last year a car I've been waiting to drive for a long time but thanks to the lovely guys asked a lot and she Chester today I am finally gonna get to drive the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera a car with 700 horsepower and 900 Newton meters of torque all through the real hills on a day where the temperature is three degrees this is gonna be a lot of fun next up Aston Martin G Chester well welcome guys to Howard's Aston Martin Chitty Esther I've just had a lovely warming cup of coffee and talking about what we're gonna do today it's a slightly different video we're not gonna do kind of a full review I'll put a link to the launch event that I went to but we're just gonna take this car out and bring you on the ride for what it's like to drive this for the very first time now interestingly because of the value and performance of this car I'm not going to be allowed to take it out on my own it needs to be an accompanied drive but James from Aston Martin statistic is gonna take us out in the car first thing we're gonna do is James will drive talked us through a little bit about the characteristics of the car and what we can expect and then it's my turn but if you've never driven a high performance car on a cold day with 700 horsepower and 900 Newton meters of torque this videos for you so let's get in the car and get cracking because it's freezing cold out here well here we are inside this beautiful DBS Superleggera and this is my very good friend James from Chester who is the lovely guy that lets me drive beautiful cars patrolling and invites me to places like Silverstone to drive the Vantage on tractors she's still one of the best things I've ever done in my life dude so what we can do is have a bit of a kind of almost like a if I was to come and buy a car what are the proper steps to go through a woman would be a familiarization driver absolutely so today we're gonna take you out on roads you know they have local to us introduced oh yeah and I hope you have some serious fun and this which is seven hundred and fifteen horsepower nine hundred Newton meters of torque and it's take you through a few controls yeah take a little bit about it interesting so in the car an 8-speed ZF automatic gearbox and it's someone will say you know is the same as you've got an ax DB eleven and advantage yeah but it's the later generations beef their gearbox up to cope with all that power and torque otherwise apparently it shreds it imagine how nine hundred Newton meter talk would do its trick deep off of beauty so so effectively we have talked restricted to I believe it's six hundred Newton in first second and third yeah so when we're driving in the minute and I say hold it in fourth yeah you'll see why and that gives us the full beans and in your yogurt experience exactly what what the car can do but from a title drivability point of view he's a bit of a Jekyll and Hyde car so so up sort of half acceleration and half throttle it's it's pretty usable you know stick at 20 or stick at 30 so someone uses as a daily driving car yeah they could actually do that very very comfortably in dirt but then when you start going up through the river range yeah it does transform the car so you've got full paddle usage and they've extended the paddles on these as well now so no matter where you are on the wheel because the steering ratio and this is change from DB Levin has also be reacts a lot quicker yeah so when you're curling into those corners the way you or you can always cactus they've got that kind of one-77 shape a slight weight off so it does encourage you to drive with both hands which which you know it does benefit you on the window on the paddle shifters here so but usability sat-nav system works incredibly well we've got a lovely bangin offs and hi-fi system in this car as well little tweeters popping up exactly right and we heated ventilated seats and the full 360 cameras on this car as well so we've also got carbon fiber roof on this we've got full carbon fiber splitters stuff full carbon clamshell on the bonnet as well and then interior wires all this sort of tri-axial quilting as well which is so come on and hit me with the damage so this car starts on the road from about 230,000 yeah this one spectre of roughly 265 buying some more lottery tickets let's go okay so we've been forced now we're gonna come down to third there's 30 laity in third they are obviously we understand that GT mode will extend the suspension oh yeah this is the usable bit we'll go into sport from Sport Plus and then event will hear all exhaust noise the accelerates response it gets rid of the sponginess and the pedal yeah and it becomes a lot more responsive see you've got the same damper and drivetrain settings as on dblf exactly on the steering wheel exactly the same so so we're going to come off this roundabout here and I'm just in third gear now like that I just now think it's either full tour of SATA 14 yeah particularly up into small mode kiss me see you got half throttle it's good that you could feel a step takes afterthought so half throttle is where you'd expect this probably variant when it's a maximum and then and then it goes on the game Redknapp quite a lot but he went on to full throttle there the difference in that's remarkable so now I will do the same again we're going to small plus mode okay good class just takes away a little bit of traction control you have you have your mind and the right mindset when you do this okay and ideally not have a home Pacific and the way so we let them go on a little bit yeah a circus annoys you capturing cars in from Mexico p.m. opening up to fourth gears before get 40 yet and just a nice article that's outrageous as a semi this is my favorite cardigan it's an unrelenting push in the back of Europe BAC back and on I'm up changing of five five and a half thousand rpm this will take you right around to seven and a half thousand before it actually needs you to change it's just a case of how willing you are to try it I think one of the things that struck me what when L came to the launch was there was a really big thing made about talk and I think modern-day cars we hear people talk about is for you to be able to pee or or am the esses horsepower horsepowers power and a remembe and e-commerce standing up saying it's all about the tall it's the twisting forces though it's all getting its demonstrable at this you can really really feel it I mean under aquas the luckiest oil horsepower right there is the torque that gets you moving yeah and it's the horsepower that gives us the top speed yeah and if you think if you like that yeah and you realize how important the talk isn't this guy yeah I won't you ever go yeah but it must be really terrible having to you know drive one of these for a living and take customers out you must be like I'll just do the driving my ideas are boring built the bypass you get the nice twisted is in the power that's all right yeah okay right let's let's it's them let's go to some nice twisty bit yeah absolutely well we have rocked up at Goodwood because it's that time for me to have a bit of a play in the DBS now there's a couple of things just whether this will come out on camera but in the sunlight the paint job on this car is just remarkable and then James just saying the roof is done in a black blacker so unless it's really sunny you can't necessarily see the car when we but that really does look quite spectacular so we're gonna go and find some nice twisty roads and I'm gonna have Bay I've been waiting for this since last year come on people let's go and drive a DBS Superleggera here we go I do miss the emotion control unit D yes this will still make you smile that's okay yes I'm sure it will control my emotions do you want to keep a foot on the brake so we've reset all of the steering wheel controls back to normal mode not that any mode in this car could be normal even normal mode in this car is like the sportiest of Sport Plus is in anything else so now that's third yes at the end of your sort of talk restrictions yeah so from this point onwards when the benefits yeah as you say he'll be strict that talk for two reasons one because the gearbox but two so it is a drivable car 20 30 40 miles an hour that's what you'll find out this end and it is a pretty low group day today yes so all the scary days habit of doing this with you because you you let be a lovely v12 Vantage Roadster on a freezing cold day it's not tactics I promise no guys I can just remember lighting the rear tires in third thinking what on earth am i doing so I mean the first thing to say is from a comfort of ride point of view it's exceptional it's it's just you'd kind of get in a really high-performance car just accept it with you shake your fillings out but it's a pretty awful road surface as good as low as this road up to the couch is terrible so if it's good on this you know for a long I mean that that's this is a big GT cruising range of soil materials south of France cruising in the lap of luxury up late the space speeds they're less Butler was doing so that's now school plus so that's backed off some of the traction control systems or marginally apart of me the only the only thing I could equate that to that's like doing a naught to 60 test it's something like a bowl TT oh yeah that is remarkable yeah and that that wasn't full-throttle either I was only on maybe half an hour I'm a dead push the throttle all the way so don't want the travels like them that wasn't be giving it the proper beans just from the respect of the car but it was awesome and actually there's a thing this is that mid-range acceleration the sort of 30 to 60 50 to 70 that's the bit that actually makes a car drivable as the bit you need no one does not the 60 everyone has to get past that car exactly and that's where this comes into exactly see no one has gone round this insect but I've changed up into third on purpose and I'm being I'm backing off because we hit the speed limit very quickly but that it's like a completely start different style of driving Batman what you did then yeah put it into fifth or leave in fifth yeah and when you get a similar section of road yeah men do the same thing but you leave in fifth okay because that's what was thought that's what staggers me and that's when you realize just how much talk is actually there and it would do that at 6 you would do that in 7th there's no better side I was only do about 30 miles now when I start to do it the throttle gear v 2 there's a little bit of kind of pickup and then once it gets it's his head of speed it is you can almost feel the rear tires just kind of go wow so we were talking before off-camera about their main rival to this would be an 8 12 superfast right yeah absolutely the positive and it would have to build its game yes this is I think in terms of a drivable car yeah personally even a bit this is a drivable car the 8 1 2 is going to be quicker dr 64b gonna be a bit more hairy on a racetrack but to actually use the car cause it's my favorite straight road sorry I disrupted your chain and the reason someone would have bought a Ferrari over yeah 18 months two years ago is because of admitting our cost of ownership body a bit higher yeah in Ferrari when I work four or five years ago that reduced this seven-year warranty sorry four year warranty seventy of resurfacing well masters are followed in suit now if they want to sort of get a few of these people back into the fold with our brand so so we are now offering a five-year free service plan this car an advantage and Damian shows confidence in the brand again it's a three year warranty so publish it cost has gone right to hell so it's gone what's really nice as well I mean we're not driving it super fast beats today because it's just not appropriate on a cold day like even the steering feel it's quite weighty you just have to beat me it's a lot of my favorite bits of Rosa see that he's just it's the / overture behind of their kind of burbles and pops and bangs that just you would end up becoming incredibly immature driving through a built-up area in this corner home so we bought it to a small town we might just have to make be anti-social try get an ass both yes the great thing is you can do all of this we didn't the speed limit absolutely it's the interviews from Kenworth was built on killers these social apps again yeah the medieval if you if you want to come to pet with pet words good for two things buying antiques in X everywhere and driving a DBS Superleggera and like a child that will never ever get boring it's a slight as a thunderstorm coming just leave it take ten miles an hour lady just pulled the dog in from the side it it sounds like either you're dragging a thunderstorm behind the car yeah definitely or a kind of huge ball and Jane one of the things that would say cuz it's got interesting green such a big scary hugely expensive car to a built-up area this is actually very easy to drive your anus it's not moving you have to be in a park itself what is something that you have to be aware it's wide for sure and I'm massively conscious of not curving wheel good things so a bit of berryhill here we were not doing that there will be a normal cycle see where you really notice that extra pair is on an uphill Iranian like this I'm in fifth and it's just pulling like a train it's just kind of came the long way around just to go up Berry Hill because it's a it's got a couple of nice sweeping corners that is a really steep gradient but it kind of puts the you want to have a powerful car to be able accelerating exactly so they know the it's a nice test because on the flat you need have to be going so fast of feel that power there you kind of forces words rather as their entry demonstration so unlike the north to sixty of maximal ticket yeah because that's all demonstrates a little bit everything yeah and also see that you stomach fares yeah because they've got CCB's on this which is the other necks upgrade from the CCM so so carbon ceramic brakes basically yeah so yeah there's nothing behind the size of when you're already me wanting to don't be scared widget emergency brake okay so doing 60 miles now nothing guys and a floor back up yeah it's just incredible that actually that that's as aggressive as I'd put my foot into the cop and I did go all the way yeah in Sport+ and yes you could you could see the traction control light coming on and there's nothing else I didn't feel like I was gonna do one of those horrible YouTube videos where you see second or third gear kicking in the car that was actually that was that was very good water water center bank as though a sister for your eyes almost full at the front of your head of what we were having a chat before supposed to be driving this julia Quadrifoglio with carbon ceramic stuff I find that when they're cold a slower speeds they just don't really have any feel these actually you would know that there were carbon ceramics when you're driving normally but when you stick those anchors on baggies well either I'm gonna do this video to a close there because I've had an amazing experience thank you very much I hope you guys been doing it I mean the the opportunity to drive cars like this for me is a very very special one and the real privilege in and to try and share of the viewers is really important but it's when you I always talk about meeting heroes when he kind of looks so much forward to driving a claw but maybe get it in is disappointing yeah that's not been the case today out right before this car
