Logitech Circle Wi-Fi Camera REVIEW

The Love Shake Circle: A Portable Wi-Fi Video Monitoring Camera Review

As I gaze at the Love Shake Circle, a portable Wi-Fi video monitoring camera, I can say that it's one of the cutest little home security cameras I've ever seen. Its compact size makes it easy to take with you wherever you go, whether it's for monitoring your baby, pet, or home security. However, its price tag of 120 pounds or $170 is fairly hefty, and there are many other internet-enabled cameras available in the market that offer similar features at a lower cost.

Recently, I had the opportunity to review the Gantry Cloud IP camera, which was only 50 pounds and functionally pretty much the same as the Love Shake Circle. While Logitech's camera is smaller and nicer to look at, especially when considering its portability, it lacks some key features that make the Love Shake Circle a more desirable option. For instance, the app used to control the camera is also very nice to use, but Logitech's camera does not have the same level of movement and rotation capabilities as the Love Shake Circle.

One of the standout features of the Love Shake Circle is its 720p video quality, which is full HD resolution. While this may seem like a basic feature, it provides clear and crisp images that are essential for monitoring your home or pet. Additionally, the camera's 135-degree wide-angle lens allows you to capture more area with each view, making it easier to keep an eye on multiple things at once. When it gets dark, the infrared night mode kicks in, providing excellent low-light performance.

The Love Shake Circle can be powered either by a 10-foot bundled USB cable or remotely using battery power, which Logitech claims will last up to 12 hours. However, in my experience, it usually doesn't go beyond three hours without needing to recharge. This is not an issue if you plan on keeping the camera plugged into a wall outlet, but if you intend to use it as a portable camera, you may need to carry extra batteries.

Connecting the Love Shake Circle over Wi-Fi was easy and maintained a good connection throughout my experience with using it. The camera supports both 2.4 and 5 gigahertz frequencies of the 802.11M standard, allowing for stable and fast connectivity. Not only can you watch live video through your phone, but you can also check on past highlights, download and save footage for later review, and even use two-way talk to communicate with people in front of the camera.

The user interface (UI) of the Love Shake Circle is bright and intuitive, making it easy to navigate through its features. However, there are some limitations to its functionality. For example, you can't set specific activity zones or customize motion sensitivity, which means that the camera will alert you for any movement within a certain radius. This may not be ideal if your pet has a tendency to run around quickly without triggering an alert.

On the other hand, the Love Shake Circle does offer some great features like the ability to swipe through past footage to see what happened early in the day and get a "day brief" that condenses full days of video into 30-second clips. While this is not as advanced as some other security cameras on the market, it's still a useful feature for monitoring your home or pet.

Overall, the Love Shake Circle is a cute and functional Wi-Fi video monitoring camera that offers solid video quality and a well-designed app. However, its high price tag compared to similar products in the market may make it less desirable to some buyers. Nevertheless, if you're looking for a quick and easy baby cam or pet monitor, the Love Shake Circle is definitely worth considering.

The camera's portability, 720p video quality, and infrared night mode make it an excellent choice for monitoring your home or pet. Additionally, its wide-angle lens provides a good field of view, making it easier to keep an eye on multiple things at once. However, its limited movement and rotation capabilities compared to other cameras in the market may be a drawback for some buyers.

As I continue to use the Love Shake Circle, I'm still impressed by how small and smart it is. Its compact size makes it easy to take with you wherever you go, whether it's for monitoring your baby, pet, or home security. While its price tag may be high compared to similar products in the market, I believe that its features and performance make it a worthwhile investment for those who need a reliable Wi-Fi video monitoring camera.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enI think the love shake circle is one as small as definitely one with cutest little home security cameras I've ever seen but it's this portable Wi-Fi video monitoring camera any good that isn't worth a fairly hefty price tag 120 pounds or 170 dollars if you're in the market for a new baby monitor perhaps or a security camera or maybe something to spy on your pets at night there's loads of internet enabled cameras to choose from I recently reviewed the gantry cloud IP camera which was only 50 pounds and functionally pretty much the same as the logic circle here which is over twice the price but to be fair Logitech's camera is a lot smaller it's much nicer to look at particularly if you're going to be giving it around the house video quality is also better and the app you control it with is much nice to use but fundamentally does the same job and the logitech lacks ability to move and rotate the camera I remotely unlike the cheaper model now as for the camera itself it record at 720p which obviously is full HD but quality is very good and basic HD is actually probably a better option for getting smoother video streaming it's also got 135 degree wide angle lens and when it gets dark it activates the infrared night mode you can keep it powered by the 10-foot bundled USB cable or you can use it remotely on battery power which Logitech claim will last up to 12 hours but in my experience doesn't usually go beyond three or four it's not only problem though if you do keep it plugged in but it's worth bearing in mind if you intend to use it purely as a portable camera connecting over Wi-Fi was easy and it maintained a good connection throughout my experience with using it supports the 802 11 M standard at both 2.4 and 5 gigahertz but as well as watching what's going on live through your phone you can check up on the day's highlights you can download and save and watch the store footage which are saved 24 hours after it's recorded and you can even use the two-way talk function it's got a speaker on the device itself so you can talk to the app and then your voice comes out whether you're where we are showing your baby that's crying or telling burglars to kindly leave the UI is bright intuitive but actually that many features you can't set specific activity zones you can't customize motion sensitivity you're basically just limited to flipping the video so you can mount it on the ceiling turning on an LED light enabling the push notifications which saves you alerts when the camera detects movement and speaking through it's pretty basic really which will be fine for most people and does make it a bit more accessible for first-time users perhaps but I think people would like some more advanced features like being able to set activity zones on doors and windows so that it gets activated not if your pet just runs across the floor or something but simple isn't always bad and there are some great features like being on to swipe up the timeline to see what happened early in the day get a day brief which condenses the full days of video into a 30-second clip but if a time lapse really which is really fun to watch especially if you've got a cat that does barely anything just watch this I think the cat is what we call a bit of a creature of comfort I didn't know it was so boring I thought cats were supposed to be nocturnal so the logitech circle is a cute little webcam probably best suited for those wanting a quick and easy baby cam or something perhaps not quite as advanced as a proper security camera I'm still impressed with how small and how smarten how cute it is but it will despite solid video quality and a well-designed app I don't think it's going to be worth a relatively high price tie
