**Review: Logitech Keyboard Folio Case**
The Logitech Keyboard Folio case is a highly-rated accessory that offers a sleek and compact design, while also providing full body protection for your iPad. With its lightweight construction, you can easily carry it around without feeling any burden.
One of the standout features of this case is its battery life, which lasts for approximately 3 months on a single charge. This means you don't have to worry about running out of power quickly, and you can use your iPad for extended periods without needing to recharge it. The battery life is not a major concern, as you'll find that the case's size and weight are more noticeable than its battery capacity.
The Logitech Keyboard Folio case features a cutout for the camera, allowing you to take photos without having to remove the case. Additionally, the camera is easily accessible when you need it. The case also has a simple and easy-to-use design, with all ports and buttons being fully accessible without any obstructions.
The keyboard layout is one of the standout features of this case. It's designed to be compact and lightweight, yet still provides a full typing experience. With its function keys, play/pause buttons, and volume controls, you'll find that it's easy to navigate through your iPad's menus and apps. However, there is one minor issue with the keyboard layout - the Tab key and Caps Lock button are not separate, but rather share the same space as the Q and A keys. This may cause some frustration for heavy typists who rely on the Tab key.
Despite this minor issue, the Logitech Keyboard Folio case is an excellent option for those looking for a compact and functional accessory. The battery life is long-lasting, and the keyboard layout is well-designed and easy to use. With its sleek design and compact size, it's perfect for carrying around in your bag or backpack.
**Opening and Closing the Case**
The Logitech Keyboard Folio case has a simple and easy-to-use hinge that makes opening and closing it a breeze. The magnetic closure ensures that the case stays shut securely, without any risk of opening accidentally. The case also has a sturdy design that prevents it from bending or flexing when you open or close it.
**Testing the Keyboard**
To test the keyboard, we used an app called iLex Speed, which measures words per minute and other typing metrics. With this app, we were able to accurately measure our typing speed and accuracy. The results showed that we could type at a rate of approximately 72 words per minute, with only one incorrect word out of the 20 typed.
**Conclusion**
The Logitech Keyboard Folio case is an excellent option for those looking for a compact and functional accessory. With its long-lasting battery life, well-designed keyboard layout, and sturdy design, it's perfect for carrying around in your bag or backpack. While there is one minor issue with the keyboard layout - the Tab key and Caps Lock button being shared - this is easily overlooked and won't cause any significant frustration.
Overall, we highly recommend the Logitech Keyboard Folio case to anyone looking for a reliable and functional accessory that meets their needs. With its sleek design, compact size, and long-lasting battery life, it's an excellent value at just $99.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey guys this is Ellie with imore.com and today we're going to take a look at the Logitech ultrain keyboard folio for iPad Air all right so I've got my iPad Air loaded up into the Logitech ultra thin keyboard folio this case retails for $99 comes in a variety of colors this is the gray variety it also comes in Navy in a couple others I think some of them might be two- toned as well um as you can see with this cloes this is a pretty thin case it doesn't add a ton of bulk again the iPad Air is a pound so you can't expect any case to not add some kind of bulk especially when there's a keyboard integrated uh this is probably one of the lightest ones I found and it's also probably one of the slimmest so taking a look at the hardware before we open it up uh over here on this side you have got your Bluetooth light for pairing you've got your onoff switch and you've got your your charge port which this does come with a dedicated cable to charge it uh this keyboard is rated at if you're only typing about 2 to 3 hours a day you'll get about 3 months on one charge so batter is really not a concern um you can also notice here around the edges that you've got access to all your ports so you don't have to worry about a third- party cable not fitting having to take it off to charge it get to the headphone jack anything like that everything you do should pretty much be accessible uh camera included so you can see here there is a cutout for the camera so you don't have to take the case off to do that um getting the iPad in and out is also very easy there's just uh you just basically slide it right in here so uh I've slid it in and out several times I don't notice any scratches or anything on the frame of my iPad volume keys accessible mute switch even closed so again very accessible um doesn't add a lot of bulk but offers full body protection the material that this is made out of uh things wipe off of it rather rather easily but I will note that if you are basically if DUS and lint is an aversion to you this does pick up quite a bit of that again it wipes off very easy but it's kind of a rubbery material and you probably can't pick it up in the video too well but um if you set it on a table and there's you know crumbs or dust it will pick up on the case so again just wipe it off but overall if that's something that bothers you it's something to think about um so opening this up the way it works is this hinge is magnetic so you just simply and it'll snap right in right there it holds up like this and it is pretty sturdy so it doesn't move around too much um so what we'll do here to demonstrate the keyboard before we actually look at all the different Keys um I'm going to hop into uh itex speed here it's just a little app that can monitor words per minute and I'll go ahead and type some stuff so you guys can kind of see um you know where this stands uh you know how fast you can type on it okay so as you can see here I got one word incorrect 20 correct and I typed at about 72 words per minute I'm a pretty fast typer I can almost type as fast on these keyboard cases as I can on my Mac um most of these companies have gotten keyboard layout down to the point where you really don't have to worry about it um but we will take a close look at the keyboard here and we'll go over some of the changes that Logitech made compared to older cases so the first thing uh you've got a function key down here and that dictates a lot on the top row here you've got um if you hit function and then one you get you can lock the iPad two activates Siri 4 is your international keyboard so if you have those activated in settings you can quickly toggle between them uh you've got your play pause and your track skip buttons you've got volume and mute on down here on X C and V you've got cut copy paste so all the keys you'd expect to find one thing that does irritate me a little bit about this case is Tab and caps Locker shared with the Q and the a the ultra thin keyboard cover um which we'll take a look at too that does not have this issue the tab and the caps lock are separate so the first 10 or 15 minutes using this case I was rather annoyed by this and I kept hitting s when I meant to hit a um I got over that rather quickly and if you just kind of ignore that you know you just kind of get used to it so I don't think it's something that should keep someone from buying this case because after typing on it for a short period of time you will get used to that and it won't even matter anymore I know at least I don't really use cap slack religiously so it's not something that would bother me um again keyboard layout is really nice logitech's always made really nicely laid out keyboards so if that's a concern for you um I would say little than no concern here minus that Tab and caps lock issue so overall I say this keyboard is probably one of the better folio cases I've found um so if you're looking for lightweight um this is definitely one I'd recommend looking at it's only $99 not not terrible for um an all-in-one integrated case and keyboard so again we'll bring more cases to you uh check out our zag Keys folio review as as well as some of the others that we've done if you have questions comments if you've picked up this case or if you found one that's better U make sure you let us know that in the comments too um thanks for watching and we'll have more for you soonhey guys this is Ellie with imore.com and today we're going to take a look at the Logitech ultrain
