**Upcoming iPhone 16 Pro and Max Models**
Apple is working on new iPhone models, with the latest leak confirming that they will have a larger action button and possibly a higher resolution camera functionality. The iPhone 16 Pro and Max models may also feature a new polished finish instead of the current matte finish, which picks up a ton of fingerprints. Additionally, there may be new colors such as space black and rose gold, although these are yet to be officially confirmed by Apple.
**Next-Generation iPhone SE**
Apple is reportedly working on a new iPhone SE model that will combine features from the iPhone 10r and iPhone 14 models. The new device is expected to have a squared-off edge design and an OLED display, which may be provided by Boe in China at a lower cost than previous models. Face ID will also likely be included on the new iPhone SE, making it the latest iteration in Apple's focus on facial recognition technology.
**Folding iPhone**
Apple has been working on a folding iPhone for several years and is reportedly making significant progress on the project. The device is expected to be released in early 2027, although this date is subject to change based on testing and development. Engineers from the Vision Pro team have been brought in to work on the folding phone, indicating that Apple is taking the technology seriously.
**New iPad Models**
Apple has delayed the launch of new iPad models, including a larger iPad Air and a replacement for the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. The delay was reportedly caused by issues with OLED panels produced by Samsung, although Apple has since secured alternative suppliers in LG to meet demand. Mark German reports that the new iPads may be launched in early May, coinciding with the release of iOS 17.5.
**M3 Ultra Chipset for Mac**
Apple has yet to launch the M3 Ultra chipset in its Mac Studio and Mac Pro devices, although it is expected to arrive soon. The chip could be a standalone design, rather than being connected to two M3 Max chips as previously suggested. This would potentially give Apple's chip design team more flexibility and control over the technology.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhi everyone Aaron here for zolot and we finally have some good information as far as the overall iOS 18 device support we're expecting new iPads soon and even a folding iPhone could be coming in the future this is your weekly Apple news update for the week of April 1st 2024 now Apple's actually released a really helpful text speec page for the latest Apple watches they recently released one for iPhones and different devices and now we have it on the Apple watch page now you can just tap the little down arrow here and select C Tex specs and you'll see all of the different colors materials and finishes as well as the specs that go along with it including weight and more so this is great they've updated this making it much easier to understand the difference between each one of the watches what they have to offer as far as the S9 chip or something else sensors and much much more I'll link it in the description if you want to check it out Apple has updated its list of obsolete or vintage products worldwide you'll see on their website here that it says iPhone 6 and we also have iPhone 6 Plus so these are now obsolete if you have one some odd ones though they've added the iPhone 6s and 6s plus but only the 32 GB model and iPhone 8 and 8 plus but only in Red so why only in red I'm not sure it doesn't make a whole lot of sense so maybe they made a mistake here but either way these are considered vintage or Obsolete and are no longer supported now when it comes to Apple's latest product the Apple Vision Pro one of the best things about Apple Vision Pro is the 180° immersive video Apple actually started to show a short trailer with MLS and making sort of a live debut of what it could look like with a highlight reel from 2023 so they showed this in 180 degree immersive video This should look incredible with different sporting events maybe it'll come to things such as F1 MLB and others in the future also Apple has started to train employees in France in how to use the Apple Vision Pro we know Apple plans to bring the Vision Pro to markets around the world this year Tim Cook confirmed China would be coming later later this year in France however and parts of the EU could also be soon as well so we expect that to start launching maybe before WWDC or after we're not really sure but it seems like it could be coming very soon if you use Apple TV plus and you watched on your iPhone iPad mac Apple TV or even Vision Pro it's now been ranked as the best content on a streaming platform according to different statistics on IMDb so if you subscribed to this or it was included free with one of your devices it does have some great shows and many of them are very very good so I've watched many of them the series in general and just finished masters of the air which was excellent so let me know what you think is your favorite show on TV Plus or do you use another service I'd love to hear from you in the comments below Apple pay Express mode is now working in Toronto Subways which lets you use your iPhone and credit card or debit card so far you can't use it with a Presto card or add a Presto card so that's something you're able to use if you're in Toronto let me know if you've been using it and how it works for you shipments of the iPhone continue to fall in China so the iPhone isn't selling as well maybe they will with the next models it could be the price maybe it's just reached a saturation point or there's just a lot of options in China in general with different companies such as shiai and more so that seems to be a current Trend at least in China or some other countries as well as far as deals and discounts this week from Apple we have discounts on the apple pencil 2 as well as airpods Pro 2 along with the M3 MacBook air MacBook Pro and much more there's also discounts on Apple watch SE to second generation iPad Air iPad 10th gen however we do expect new iPads fairly soon so we'll talk about that a little bit later now as far as Updates this week well iOS 17.4 was unsigned the other day or is no longer signed which means you can no longer downgrade to that version that also goes along with older versions of iOS 16 as well and typically that means Apple's getting ready for another update now we could see an iOS 17 . 4.2 before we see other updates that could fix additional issues and we had iOS 17.4.55 point2 but there's no signs of that just yet however iOS 17.5 beta 1 is expected this week according to 9 to5 Mac they even have the build number as well and last week we heard from Mark Gman that Apple's finishing up iOS 17.5 beta 1 this coming week so it makes sense that we should have it any day now initially I thought it'd sort of align with what we had last year with iOS 16.5 with the last week of March but they didn't seem to do that so probably within a day or two we'll see the first beta of iOS 17.5 also Apple of course is working on iOS 18 we know that that's going to take place in June and on June 10th we'll see the first version of that Apple will announce it and usually after the event we'll have IOS 18 beta 1 along with all the other new updates with vision OS 2.0 and many more so we're waiting for all of those along with maybe some new hardware announcements as well now we have some good news about iOS 18 and what devices it will support it looks like it's going to support every device that supports iOS 17 according to a very reliable source so this was leaked in a couple different websites such as 9o5 Mac and others and it looks like iOS 18 will have support all the way back to the 10 R 10s 10s Max se3d generation SE 2 generation and all of the ones they currently support however it will drop support for some iPads oddly the iPad 6th generation iPad Pro 12.9 Second Generation and iPad Pro 10.5 in version so it looks like they'll drop support for that of course we won't know 100% until June 10th but it looks pretty likely that that's going to happen also one of the features we're waiting for with iOS 18 that was announced already by Apple is RCS messaging in iMessage or messages this was actually leaked as far as the time frame goes from Google or 9 to5 Google where they showed a different web page that said it was coming this fall meaning probably with iOS 18 in September at some point so that seems to make a lot of sense that Apple would release it along iOS 18 get everything ready by then as they did say it was coming later this year now Mac OS 15 we're starting to hear some information about this would be the first time we've heard about it and of course it's going to get all of those a I Integrations we expect with IOS as well so if you have a Mac and there's no idea what the support of it will be so far but it looks like there's going to be major AI Integrations to help with things such as writing in Pages or creating a keynote AI generated playlists and music Siri improvements and AI to help with coding and xcode as well we're also expecting some accessibility updates some updates to maps free form and possibly other Maps or different apps as well so that makes a lot of sense that it would sort of go along with iOS 8 bringing all of those features over we have neural engines and all of the different Apple chipsets so it would make sense to utilize that capability as well when it comes to iPhone 16 there's been some news as far as what it's going to look like we've had a good idea for quite some time a leak by Sunny Dixon on Twitter shows that iPhone 16 base models look sort of like this with their cases it makes a lot of sense as reported earlier the camera is in a vertical layout similar to the layout of the iPhone 10 and it would allow for easier recording of spatial videos and photos so to have something like that where we have vertically aligned cameras but just two of them to take photos and video makes a lot of sense he also showed the iPhone 16 Pro cases as well where it features an opening for the expected capture button that's expected to be a hatic button to allow you to control camera functionality and also it has possibly a larger action button as well a leak on webo again confirmed the same thing as far as the capture button also iPhone 16 Pro and Max models Also may have a new polished finish instead of the matte finish on the current iPhones this picks up a ton of fingerprints and I'm sure a polished finish would too but it could have a polished finish with a couple new colors a space black and sort of a rose gold color or a rose color in general so we could see those new colors later this year as Apple's getting closer and closer to sort of finalizing the design and getting it ready to produce as they need to make tens of millions of them by September when it comes to the next iPhone SE Apple's hard atwork on that and it's supposed to be something along the lines of the iPhone 10r and sort of the iPhone 14 models combined where we'll have one camera but have squared off edges and an OLED display it seems that OLED display may be made by a different maker this time around Boe in China so they'll be the display provider they can provide it at a good cost apparently and of course it would bring face ID as well so it looks like no more LCDs on iPhones Apple still continues to work on a folding iPhone now Apple's been working on this for some time they have patents about it and more and they've recently even moved some Engineers that were working on Vision Pro over to that project to continue working on it however it looks like based on early testing and different information from alphab Biz in Korea that it won't be until early 20127 until we see such a device if ever so apple is definitely working on it again they took Engineers from the vision pro team so they're pretty serious about it I would think but at this point we don't have any more information other than that they're working on it I'm sure they would want it to be very durable and last a long time so we'll have to see what they do with that when it comes to the next iPad we thought we'd see them already as a replacement to the 12.9in in iPad Pro a new larger iPad Air and more but it seems that the discrepancy as to when they would launch it was due to a delay in production with the OLED panels that are expected on the new iPad Pro Models it seems Samsung was having a poor yield rate that specifically was for the 11-in models and delayed the launch in general Apple's actually gone to LG to help meet demand so we could see those very soon Mark German says early May at this point so that would sort of go along with the launch of iOS 17.5 it makes a lot of sense and we could have that launch probably in early May so we'll have time for a few different betas then a final launch right before the launch of the iPads so I'm looking forward to that with a new magic keyboard a thinner design maybe a landscape based camera instead of a portrait mode camera and maybe a few surprises here and there as well let me know if you're looking for a new iPad if you're going to buy one I think a lot of people will just keep what they have unless it's a radical change also when it comes to mac Apple has yet to launch the M3 Ultra chipset in the Mac Studio and the Mac Pro it seems that it could be a standalone chip this time instead of two M3 Max chips connected with the ultra Fusion interconnect this could mean sort of a specific Advantage for the chip itself where it could have Fusion interconnects to make an M3 extreme chip and this was much speculated by Vadim on Max Tech so my friend Vadim actually thought this made sense based on some information he had and I think it lines up to what Apple could be doing and why we've had a delay I'm not sure why they haven't updated a few different devices with the Mac Mini the Mac Studio maybe even have a future iMac Pro we just don't know yet but either way this could make for even better chips in the future so that's all of the news this week as to what we can expect with the next version of iOS when we can expect iOS 17.5 updates with iPad and much more we're not hearing much about the next Apple watch though we'll have to wait for that as there hasn't been a lot of leaks recently but let me know what you're looking most forward to at WWDC in June and what you want most from IOS 18 if you'd like to get your hands on this wallpaper I'll link it in the description like I normally do and if you haven't subscribed already please subscribe and if you enjoyed the video please give it a like as always thanks for watching this is Aaron I'll see you next timehi everyone Aaron here for zolot and we finally have some good information as far as the overall iOS 18 device support we're
