HP Pavillion Power 15 First Look - GTX 1050

The HP Pavilion Power is a laptop that boasts an impressive array of features and specifications. The display on this device is a 15.6-inch IPS LCD screen with a 1920x1080 resolution, which provides vibrant colors and a high level of brightness at 228 units. This makes it easy to view the screen in various lighting conditions. One of the notable features of the laptop's design is the brushed aluminum plate on the top case of the keyboard, which not only looks sleek but also serves as a durable and long-lasting material.

The HP Pavilion Power also sports acid green accents throughout the device, adding a pop of color to its overall design. The speaker grille above the keyboard is another notable feature, housing Bang & Olufsen speakers that deliver high-quality audio. The laptop's keyboard is a full-size keyboard with a numpad, and although it fits snugly in this space, the keys are spaced out well and offer decent key travel and tactile feedback. The trackpad is also large and made of glass, making it easy to use and highly sensitive to touch.

The left side of the laptop features a Kensington lock slot for securing the device to a desk or table, while the right side has two USB 3 ports, a headphone combo jack, and an SD card reader. The top of the laptop houses two LED lights, a USB-C port that supports display output, and another USB-A port. There's also a Gigabit Ethernet connection and a standard power connector for fast charging.

Inside, the HP Pavilion Power is powered by an Intel Core i7 processor with a 2.8 GHz clock speed and turbo boost up to 3.8 GHz. This processor features hyper-threading technology, Intel Speedshift technology, and 64-bit architecture. The laptop comes with 8GB of DDR4 RAM, which occupies one of the two available slots, leaving room for expansion with an additional 8GB module. For storage, the device uses a hybrid drive setup consisting of an M2 NVMe SSD (128GB) and a SATA hard drive (1TB).

For graphics, the laptop features NVIDIA's GTX 1050 with 4GB of GDDR5 RAM and supports CUDA, DirectX 12, and the Pascal GPU architecture. This makes it suitable for gaming and graphics-intensive tasks. The HP Pavilion Power also features an HP ImagePad with built-in image sensors that support multi-touch and gestures.

The webcam on this laptop is a 720p unit with 30 frames per second and an 88-degree wide field of view, although the author would have liked to see at least 1920x1080p resolution available in webcams at this price point. The device comes in various price ranges, starting from $7999 and going up to $99990, depending on the configuration.

If you're interested in purchasing or learning more about this laptop, there are links to both options in the description below. In conclusion, the HP Pavilion Power is a well-rounded laptop that offers a great balance of performance, features, and affordability.
