The Wanna Yeah Experience: NSX Test Day

Wanna yeah is it off off the ground um yeah oh yeah dude NSX is officially on fuel pad it's running so good foreign oh yeah yeah it turned out really good this one was sweet I just gotta get the interior back in this thing let me take it down the road make sure she's running all right yeah we're getting ready to send this thing out and I don't think we're gonna have enough time to actually take you to the track or anything to make sure it's dialed but I am very confident that if we just take it down the road and we make some boost unplug that that uh we'll be good to go and we have the laser height sensor on there working now we got two steps set up another reason we can't take it to the track and yeah that's pretty much all mild gear Cuts set up so the only thing we're gonna have to dial down the street is just the fuel map it's already got a pretty conservative timing map on it and the uh the duty cycle on the solenoid yeah find out where yeah boost wants to live yeah but that's like literally the only two things we'll have to adjust and it should be good to go so hell yeah pretty nuts man quick three-day turnaround on the NSX gotta run it on fuel Tech yeah not bad makes it so easy dude that and we just we know them so well like we said in the last video it's just they're hard to beat and once you get familiar with them it's super easy to just put them on anything yeah put them on anything really oh yeah wow also got some brand new Meats for the back of the NSX here so we got the meats fresh Mickey Thompson's back here these are the same exact tire that were on the car the fitment was really good so I just wanted to put exactly what was already on it those were the original ties that we bought with the car and uh they were already getting old when we first got this thing they're about down to the wear bar but these guys are just getting a little baited they're not as grippy as they used to be I want the NSX to perform as good as possible so we got her some fresh tires on the back and uh you know go ahead get these guys on there and uh get the interior back together this thing's ready for a test drive and then she's off to an undisclosed location yeah the State of Florida and hopefully she performs and runs okay for us I don't know if we're gonna be able to drive it today though because it is pretty cloudy and wet out it's been raining all day so that might have to happen tomorrow so hopefully tomorrow goes okay because it ships out Monday it's awesome let's go ahead and start getting it back together here and you'll be good to go well guys I'm gonna go ahead and end it off there unfortunately the weather did not clear up and the roads are still really damp and wet and we're losing daylight so it's looking like we're going to have to wait until tomorrow to test this thing because the last thing I want to do is take this thing out on a wet Road and get a little sideways out there and you know possibly do something dumb so we're gonna wait until tomorrow and then as long as that goes smooth the NSX will be ready to go then I'm gonna stay up tonight and just finish getting the interior back together just got to get the seats back in there the carpet trim pieces and she is all ready to go running on fuel Tech I'm really pumped I'm pretty confident tomorrow if you go smooth and then as long as that goes well we are ready to send this thing off I saw a lot of you guys in the comments guessing that we might be sending this out to California to do another this verse that with the hoonigans that is not where it is going it's actually going pretty close it's going back towards the West Coast but uh it's for something else it's just a pretty cool opportunity it's nothing crazy it is a pretty big production but hopefully the NSX does good I want to top on the opportunity and be a part of it since there's going to be a lot of other Automotive YouTubers involved so we got her as ready as we could so she's on fuel Tech fresh tires get her dialed in and she is off to an undisclosed location for now but we can talk more about it later it's gonna wrap it up for this video hope you guys enjoyed and another huge congrats to Steven the giveaway winner for winning the turbo K swapped FRS thank you for everyone who entered that giveaway he was super pumped to uh you know get that car so hopefully we can do some more in the future and give away some more badass cars to you guys but we'll see you later foreign

The Test Day Experience

As it turned out, the NSX would be officially on fuel pad, running smoothly, with a pretty good outcome. The team had already taken it for a spin down the road and were confident that it would perform well once they got it dialed in.

Getting Ready to Ship Out

The team was getting ready to send off the NSX, but first things first, they needed to take it out for a test drive. However, the weather wasn't cooperating, with cloudy skies and heavy rain. The roads were wet and slippery, making it a less-than-ideal situation for taking the car out.

Weather Delay

Unfortunately, the weather did not clear up by the time they wanted to take the NSX out for a spin. The roads were still damp and wet, and daylight was slowly fading away. As a result, they had to postpone the test drive until the next day.

Finishing Touches

While waiting for the weather to improve, the team decided to focus on finishing up the interior. They needed to get the seats back in, the carpet trim pieces installed, and everything else sorted out before shipping off the NSX.

Fuel Tech and Tires

The NSX was equipped with new tires from Mickey Thompson, which were a direct replacement for the original ones that had been worn down over time. The team also installed fuel tech, which would help improve performance.

Undisclosed Location

While we don't know exactly where the NSX is headed, it's clear that it's going to be a pretty exciting experience. With the team's expertise and the car's impressive specs, this should be an event to remember.

hour he shot some stick claims on the way though I saw he did a couple flybys a couple reps it's kind of cool to see it driving next to us and not actually driving it it looks really good down the road it's fun looks cool foreign a lot of people came out tonight remember the days when we used to go to the car meets every weekend back in Colorado it's crazy how far we've kind of grown away from all this stuff and I would say people are extremely Reckless nowadays but I'm here to see it it's pretty funny but uh we're getting out of here here pretty soon we've gotta Cruise back to the house and sidekick's been doing great FRS did awesome but uh yeah we're just hanging out for a bit we got some food with Steven and stuff and these car meets are getting wild out here ready to go let's get thing is cooked but she made it back pretty sick Flames though yeah it wasn't bad it's so hit or miss dude I don't know what is up with that because like with the same settings this thing will suit sit there and just shoot a flame for as long as you'll let it desell and then other times it just won't do anything so I need to figure it out yeah that's pretty cool though that's super cool we are about Max the fuel system out because we didn't have the boost reference line going to our fuel pressure regulator and now we got that guy all hooked up let's see it going back to the regulator down there so now we should have more fuel on tap to possibly turn this thing up but that's not the goal for today we're just gonna try to take it out and you know puts this thing around figured I'd let Steven go for riding this thing while he's in town have some fun but we just want to make sure that it's running good and that the tune's on point because now that we have that extra fuel we might have to change the fuel map just a little bit because it might start to go really rich we're just gonna try to dial it back to where it was and go from there because next time this thing goes out we might have to crank it up if we have to race somebody you never know but for today we're going to try to keep it in one piece and just enjoy a nice day on the water I'd say around 400. yeah foreign we heard a strange noise coming from under here and it appears the wastegate has fallen off and the v-bands actually broke got the piece over here so this guy actually snapped off of the v-band and the wastegate just kind of fell out of there it's crazy that both of the v-bands snapped just fell right out of place that is crazy sorry about that man it's all good it happened brick can't make any boost like that it's not something you know detrimental and we're not sinking so there's that we're not taking on water but uh yeah boys I think that might be it because it's probably not gonna be safe to rip on that with Open Exhaust just under the uh engine cover there so that freaking blows we are putting this thing back with no wastegate definitely got a lot louder we got the boat back over here and we were able to get a clamp from the shop we have one that fits we got the gate back on there but we are missing the second v-band that goes right here so I believe the first one probably let go and then the second one took all of the load and then that one broke causing the wastegate to fall off unfortunately we can't get that second one on there but this is the more important one right here this is more of just the dump which you know lets the exhaust flow out of it into the main one there so we're gonna take it back out just be gentle on it we got the fan pulling any fumes out from the engine bay here so should be good as long as Steven isn't too scared yeah I'm good he says we're good to go let's do it there we go nice and quiet again foreign 's looking good way over yeah it's a little rough we're in this little back area of the lake here trying to see if we can spot a gator because they do come out every now and then Steven's never seen a gator out in the wild so tried to check that off his Florida visit but it is a little cold today I don't think too many of them are out oh that might be one of my way out there see that Ripple we'll go check the bank on the other side see if we can catch one basket in the Sun how's it running good guys may have noticed my jet ski hasn't been in some videos lately and it's because the uh oil cooler cracked and it was pushing oil into the coolant system so when we pop the coolant reservoir cap it was literally completely filled up with oil and that was no good so I had to drop it off at JP's and you got it all fixed up for us the jet ski is back all right guys our test day went pretty good other than that wastegate falling off but we got it kind of patched up what'd you think that was awesome it was fun yeah sorry we didn't get to see your first Gator I know that was one of your uh items on the floor demand checklist yeah but I guess it's not their time to be out today you'll just have to come back out and hang out with us absolutely maybe make a trip down in the FRS I don't know about that that'd be a far one yeah but uh cool cool we're gonna go ahead and uh head on back well man have a safe flight it was we're just doing some final touches here if you guys know I said in the last video one of the benefits to having the fuel tank is we can run a laser height sensor we just got that guy in and why I got it installed right here you can come in here and check this guy out this is a laser height sensor from madracing.com this is the same place we got the one that is on the MR2 this is their new version this one has more range than the one on the MR2 does the mr2s only goes to 20 inches before it maxes out which is already a little too high but this one goes all the way up to 38 inches so yeah we got that guy installed and now we can launch the NSX at the track and I don't have to worry about doing a backflip yeah so if you guys are interested in you know making your car not do wheelies you can check out madracing.com they got a whole bunch of other sensors and stuff like that but for the laser height sensors these guys uh know the deal it works with all kinds of different ecu's it doesn't just have to be a fuel Tech as well like Holly all kinds of stuff but yeah I got all that stuff plumbed in yeah I'm excited to see how it works because that thing is half the price of the one that's in the MR2 yeah they updated it made it cheaper took off some components that they didn't need so we like our height sensors around here because we rely on them or else we'd have a lot more damage done to the car like the hoonigan said dude we just like to shoot laser beams at the ground yep we definitely rely on the lasers and the NSX is you know pretty nice car don't want to beat it up too bad by sending it to the moon on the drag strip I don't know be a pretty cool poster this thing up on the bumper pretty cool but I think I got uh the wheelies out of me from the MR2 no more of that but I think that should be it right nothing else needs done under the car yeah it's all wired up ready to go got the catch pan back on everything's back together under here go ahead and drop this girl down and plug in a couple more things see if she'll fire up let's do it got everything live right now on the fuel Tech you can see right here we have ride height and in this reading it says we're 17 and a half inches off the ground since the NSX is up on the lift and I'll try to do a reach around here see if I can lower it and as we go down you see that uh drop 15 14. way down can we go up with it make sure it doesn't uh yeah I just want to invert that setting yeah that like at 38 it stays at 5 volt and doesn't drop back down to zero not that we ever let it get out of hand that far but just something nice to know so go back up and uh make sure it doesn't uh go back down to zero volts when it loses range foreign it's still getting an accurate reading and look how high you know an SX is off the lift if we're that high in the air we got some other problems for real yeah I'm gonna call that good I think it'll ride we can keep going just max it out at 38. yep so we're good cool right on that's all I wanted to know she's up there yeah that is up there 38 inches off the ground looks like we are ready to fire up the NSX here for the first time on her new fuel Tech we got everything
