2016 VW GTI with Clubsport Exhaust - Tedward POV Test Drive (Binaural Audio)

**A Closer Look at the Volkswagen GTI with Club Sport Exhaust**

As we take a closer look at the Volkswagen GTI, it's hard to ignore the sound of its exhaust system. The car's owner has opted for the popular Club Sport exhaust upgrade, which is known for its aggressive tone and impressive performance capabilities.

**Sport Mode: A Deeper Dive**

The GTI's DSG transmission is typically set to sport mode by default, which provides a more aggressive shifting pattern and improved responsiveness. However, it seems that the car's owner prefers individual mode, where they can manually adjust the transmission settings to suit their driving style. In this mode, the transmission behaves much like a manual gearbox, with the ability to fine-tune the clutch engagement and gear shifts.

**Driving Experience: A Hands-On Review**

One of the standout features of the Club Sport exhaust is its ability to enhance the overall driving experience. The car's owner finds that it provides a more immersive sound, with noticeable pops and clicks as they shift gears. This feature is particularly useful for enthusiasts who want to get the most out of their car's engine. However, the owner notes that using this exhaust in heavy traffic or at low speeds can feel like cheating, as the sound is too pronounced.

**Headlights and Visibility**

The GTI's headlights are another area of note, with the owner commenting on how difficult it can be to keep them off during nighttime driving. Despite this, the car's headlights are clearly designed to provide excellent visibility, which is essential for safe driving. The owner also notes that the car's tires are relatively skinny, with 235/35R19s fitted as standard.

**Performance and Handling**

When it comes to performance and handling, the GTI is undoubtedly a capable car. The owner notes that it has plenty of torque for its size, which allows it to accelerate quickly out of corners and maintain traction even when pushing hard. This feature is particularly useful for enthusiasts who want to push their cars to the limit.

**Acquiring the Club Sport Exhaust**

The Club Sport exhaust upgrade was acquired by the car's owner through a website called cars245.co.uk, where they were able to purchase the exhaust system as an OEM plus upgrade. The price was reportedly around $400 before shipping, with an additional $130 charged for international delivery from Latvia.

**Conclusion: A Killer Upgrade for the GTI**

In conclusion, the Club Sport exhaust upgrade is a killer addition to the Volkswagen GTI, providing a more aggressive sound and improved performance capabilities. While it may be expensive, the owner notes that it's well worth the investment, especially when compared to other exhaust systems on the market.

Community with Porsha he has outfitted his car with the praetoria wheels from the Golf R and the Cherry Tales which is kind of like the Euro LED spec tail lights you can compare that against the standard car just a little more crisp definitely uh more expensive looking that's for sure and in addition to these other mods he's also done the club sport exhaust which is the bargain of a century really we'll talk about that when we're driving it but this night blue metallic is a subtle and tasteful color all right will you said this car was equipped with Dynamic chassis control yes what does that do the option of a normal mode and sport mode which tightens up the suspension a little bit and tightens the steering but with the DCC you get the Comfort mode as well which is according to our friend Zach without the DCC um the Comfort mode is a little softer suspension absorbs the bumps a little better so you have with the DCC the Comfort normal so it's visual where you can mix and match try not to approach our police friend with too much tenacity so right now it's in sport so it's in sport mode right now uh it's an individual mode for the for the I do like that DSG tends to put the car where it needs to be and that's where you start to see the progress that Volkswagen made over time because it didn't always used to be like that I also like that Volkswagen's creep my DCT transmission and my M3 doesn't creep if I lift off the the brake it doesn't go forward I have to give it a little throttle so the clutches engage is a lot more drivable in traffic so if I move over now I'm in manual mode manual mode okay and I got little paddles back here yes foreign exhaust sounds fantastic usually a keeping a manual mode if I really want to hear the Club sporting thoughts it pops yeah you can really time it then foreign but that doesn't mean you should go and head-on into traffic while you're doing it foreign myself shifting just for the pops foreign foreign really feels like I'm cheating it's it's way quicker than you think I keep thinking my high beams are on they're not you have great headlights that's why I keep pulling them back like oh I need to turn these off it's been a while since I've driven a Volkswagen this is capable this one also I felt it I I mean I wasn't trying to spin it inside I just I'd have to compare it back to back but I mean it feels planted it feels like I can really stand in that throttle and I'm not going to lose the front end and I'll have to watch the video but I don't think I saw any traction control lights coming on I wasn't I wasn't at its limits it had it had more to give go back to drive mode which I guess is sport mode how do you not have it in sport mode just give it a nudge oh it's like a lower nudge yeah what section tires are on this they must be at least 235s yep so the GTI comes stock with 225 18s but this one 35 35 19. okay yeah so very skinny sidewalls and plenty of and it's a square setup it's 235 all around yes man this is planted I've watched gti's take roads in front of me behind me in uh while I'm driving the M3 or other cars and I'm always shocked at its ability to keep up or find speed in Corners that I would be too nervous to accelerate out of maybe with traction off in a rear-wheel drive car yeah this thing has a lot of torque for a little guy and it can pull itself out of a corner with ease I find myself just wanting to play with this exhaust though now you told me that this exhaust was a steal I'm surprised you're the only one I know that's put the club sport exhaust on their car where did you find it and if you don't mind me asking what you paid for it sure so um I actually um I was always looking for the next OEM plus upgrade um so I would go on the VW Vortex or the golf Mark 7 forums and then the person found that uh I actually ordered these Mufflers from the club sport s off a website called cars245.co.uk and it's really the part and then one person you know was brave enough to actually try it out and order it and then fitted it and it all worked fine and then once the videos got up and the people were just clamoring all over it that's when people really started to myself so I paid around so before shipping it's 270 or so then there's another 130 dollars in shipping because it actually has shipped from Latvia I guess that's where they put all the spare I guess there's a warehouse in Latvia there's a part shelf there so thank you to our Latvian viewers so we have in total about 400 U.S should I think I'm not trying to go for something too loud so anything I really found them so for well under 500 you managed to get a killer exhaust yeah upgrade for this car yeah that's made for this car well thank you will for bringing the GTI with the club sport exhaust out I I really like your car this is a lot of fun you can do a lot of you could hurt a lot of egos with this car no I rarely push this car into its limit so even that run was really
