Sleeper Status! 330 HP Four Door Review!

The Humble Honda: A Sleeper's Delight

One of the most striking features of this Honda eG sedan is its innocent-looking design. With its semi-belt LS engine and Garrett 50 trim ball bearing turbo, it may seem like an unlikely candidate for high-performance prowess. However, as Jay, the owner, revealed in a recent conversation, he had initially set out to build a sleeper car that could easily pass as a regular sedan. Instead, he found a hatch, but ultimately settled on this eG sedan due to its luxurious features and potential for boosting.

The eG sedan's boost capabilities are quite remarkable, with 330 horsepower under the hood. This is all thanks to the Garrett 50 trim ball bearing turbo, which was installed in addition to the stock suspension. Jay noted that he had zero idea the car was boosted when he first saw it, as its appearance suggests otherwise. However, once the boost kicks in, the sedan's performance becomes quite impressive.

One of the most interesting aspects of this eG sedan is its unique setup. Unlike many other Honda builds, which often involve removing amenities like air conditioning and power windows to make way for more powerful components, Jay's car still boasts all the luxuries it originally came with. The sound system is particularly noteworthy, providing a seamless listening experience. Additionally, the blow-off valve on this car is surprisingly innocent-looking, belied by its functionality.

Jay has taken this eG sedan on numerous road trips, including a recent trip to Winter Fest, which is approximately two hours away from his home. Despite the long distance and potential for mechanical issues, Jay reported having no worries about the car's performance or reliability. In fact, he noted that it was driven all the way back from Winter Fest without any problems.

The eG sedan also features a stock Integra shifter, which provides a slightly better driving experience than what one might expect from a more basic setup. However, Jay emphasized that this car is most fun when driven at a pace where the boost doesn't kick in immediately. In other words, it's best to let the turbo spool up gradually before pushing the pedal to the metal.

The motor itself is built with extremely high-quality components, including Eagle rods and Pro parts. These components were chosen by Jay because he knew he would be driving the car frequently, and wanted only the best for his trusty eG sedan. As a result, the engine has held up exceptionally well over time.

In conclusion, this Honda eG sedan is an impressive example of what can be achieved with creativity and passion. By turning this ordinary-looking car into an extraordinary performance machine, Jay has created something truly special. Whether you're a seasoned car enthusiast or just looking for a fun project to work on, this eG sedan is definitely worth considering.

The Car is Now Available for Sale

As the article comes to a close, it's worth noting that this remarkable eG sedan is now available for sale. If you're interested in purchasing a sleeper car that can deliver impressive performance without sacrificing comfort or luxury, then this might be the perfect vehicle for you.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enyou and that's extremely innocent-looking Honda eg sedan the semi belt LS and it is boosted it has a Garrett 50 trim ball bearing turbo so already some quality parts but you wouldn't expect it because this thing is just so innocent looking it hasn't been washed in over a year it has stock suspension so it's a straight line car for sure and it has 330 wheel horsepower in a sedan that looks like this this belongs to my friend Jay and originally his plan was to build a sleeper he just went on Craigslist and he found a hatch at first but he was getting looks anyway because hatches are usually used as platforms for honda builds anyway he ended up finding a sedan the head all the luxuries and also could be boosted so he did that instead the first time I ever saw this car going down the road I had zero idea it was boosted absolutely zero you just don't expect it but then with the stock suspension the whole thing just yawns back and goes bonkers one of those things where it's just a jaw-dropper going back to what I said about all the luxuries unlike a lot of Honda's that are project so to speak a lot of people take out the AC they take out the power windows they take out all that kind of stuff but with this it has all those luxuries has an awesome sound system too so when you want to go fast you can but if you just want to you know go around town it's gravy it's fine it's so funny because the blow-off valve it's like so innocent but it's not you think it's this cute little turbo but it does work it's definitely an up center to a lot of project cars I would say because if people do all these aesthetic things and all these builds and everything but then they get beat by four-door sedan for most boosts at Honda is to go on a road trip it's very very stressful because something can go wrong or something like that but this car drove all the way to Winter Fest and back which is about two hours and not only did he just drive back he got on it a lot so it was definitely abused a lot he had no worries about it it's like a bipolar teenager one minute they're calling the other minute they're angry the shifter on this is a stock Integra shifter as well so there's a little bit better than what the shifter would be in the four-door sedan the clutch engagement believe it or not is not that bad it's right in the middle it's almost an ideal place but if you burn it up a little bit to get it to move you're not really going to hurt anything because it's a strong clutch it's a stage five six puck so it should be able to handle this power with absolutely no problem as you can see though since it isn't open down pipe like a lot of boosted Honda's it's very commutable this is not very exhausting it's not very ridiculous but when you want to get on if you can and be a plenty of power to merge on the highway or even you know play around a little bit visibility too I just noticed you know getting on this on ramp is it's always been good in these Honda's I've never had a problem okay people I do not recommend you going up an exit ramp really fast in this because the stock suspension is stock let's uh give it a little bit in earth let's just listen to this look how easy it is to make it blow off this has an LS transmission in it as well so it's a very long gear and what that means is for the highway it's fantastic gas mileage for a turbo car it's ridiculous it gets around 30 miles to the gallon when you're just cruising on the highway like I am right now I just absolutely love how unassuming this car looks you got this bumper stickers which is like so against a car guy thing to do you never put stickers on the paint but this just makes it blend in it's like a honda ninja straight from japan you never know what else is cool is that has these awesome little like gauge pods that you can hide so if Jay gets pulled over he's like they don't know it's turbo so you just closes them ladies and gentlemen this is the fastest Honda I've ever driven that was definitely more of a tire spinning sensation than I felt from Zack hatch a few days ago especially when you're on stock tire stock hubcaps in stock wheels only thing is due to the stock suspension the 330 horsepower it still feels like it's around 250 ish I would say the reason is the stock suspension I do believe if it had the coil overs or something like that it would feel a ton faster to keep it from squatting so much because the whole thing when you get on it just buffs and scrubs has had a bunch of cars you know in the Honda world and he's had everything from this to something stupid fast but he's always said that this one has been the most fun what's so great about this is out of all the Honda's I've been in this is the fastest one I've driven but I've been in a bunch but this one is easily the most daily able like I've never really been able to say that I've been in a boost at Honda and said I could drive that every day because honestly most of the time I know that I couldn't I'd get frustrated but with this the power is on demand but you don't have to have it all the time just the way the boost kicks in and everything it's like it's kind of like driving kind of like a stock ish Civic before the boost kicks in basically until you hit 4500 it's a completely stock LS the turbo it spools in super late if you guys didn't notice so you have to rev it at a ridiculous amount to get that turbo to spool up I mean I thought I was doing something wrong earlier but I wasn't it was just it has that nice little equal medium between power and not power since it is more close to a stock ish exhaust it takes a little bit longer to spool but in my opinion it's a sacrifice that it's worth it all right see like if I put it in third gear right now its stock stock stock stocks talking before the boost kicks in it's basically stock in every sense of the way but as soon as you hit one psi basically has a waste gate that opens up and basically turns into an open down pipe it's pretty crazy it's a very odd setup because it still has a Cadillac inverter as well which is very abnormal for this type of setup so definitely something to take note of it's very different and it's very innovative the motor is built with very high quality since he knew he was going to drive it very often so it has Eagle rods inline Pro parts pretty much the biggest names out there it there there and it obviously really helps because it's still running like a champ as for this review it was definitely a different experience for sure I don't think I've ever driven anything like this something that's so sleeper but at the same time to just be cruised around it with no problem I would like to thank Jay very very much for letting me drive his car I know today we originally were just going to just do some shots of it but then we fighted decided to do a full fledge review so thank you so much day this was a great time I've never really experienced that kind of torque steer so that was different so thank you all so much for watching I appreciate every single one of you guys for watching and last but not least the car is for sale so if you want a really badass sleeper this is the one to get if your Honda guy especially because you'll jewel over this thing see you next time and take it easy you\n"
