Brew Can WiFi Signal Booster

The Fun Solution to Boost Your Wi-Fi Signal: A Beer Can Wi-Fi Booster

Sometimes when I'm on the other side of the house, the Wi-Fi signal from my router is pretty low. Well, I found a fun solution that can double or triple your signal strength and it involves beer. Now you can also use a soda can, but we need the can to be empty.

To pour the perfect beer, tilt the glass, pour the beer halfway up on the side of the glass until it's half full, straighten the glass, and pour the rest of the beer in. You'll get the perfect head of beer every time. Remove the pop top and if you want to see a fun little 30-second project on what you can do with that top, click here or the link in the description.

Make sure the can is washed out and clean. Then, you'll need a sharp cutter or a pair of scissors and we're going to start cutting around the very bottom of the can carefully. Cut all the way around the can and then remove the bottom. Now, we'll repeat the process at the top of the can where you drink out of, but this time, we're not gonna cut all the way around. We're gonna leave a one or two inch space somewhere at the top of the can.

Then, on the opposite side of where that space is, we're gonna cut down the middle of the can and fan it out. You might need to work it a little bit until it forms a U-shape when you're done. Stand it up and it should kind of look like this. Now, we'll need something similar to blue tack, this stuff is kind of like silly putty only it's sticky. Tear off a small piece and stick it to the bottom of our booster.

Take the opening in the base of our booster and put it over the antenna of your router. The blue tack should hold it in place. I made two because I have two antennas on my router, and I was amazed when I checked the ping on the other side of the house. My signal strength had easily tripled with this new beer can Wi-Fi booster.
