**The Unlikely Road Trip: A MR2's Journey to Taco Bell**
As we set out on our adventure, our trusty MR2 was looking great, both in terms of fuel pressure and overall condition. The car had been modified with some performance upgrades, but it still seemed like a perfectly streetable vehicle. However, there was one notable exception - the exhaust system did make a bit of noise, but that was about it. With a full tank of gas and a cooler full of Baja Blast, we were ready to take on the road and make our way to Taco Bell.
We had made this journey before, but not in quite as short of time as we did today. In fact, last time we drove the MR2 to Taco Bell, it took an impressive eight seconds to get there. But with some tweaks to the engine and suspension, we were now down to a blistering seven-second drive time. It was still a bit loud, but that was about all the issues we encountered.
As we drove through rush hour, the MR2 handled like a dream, making its way through traffic with ease. We even managed to avoid getting hot on the engine, which is always a plus when you're pushing your car hard. With our Taco Bell run complete, we decided it was time to head back home and do some maintenance work.
We stopped off at O'Reilly's Auto Parts to pick up some essentials - oil, filters, and a new fuel cell - as well as doing some repairs on the spot. The MR2 had come a long way since its racing days, but it still needed a few tweaks to make it truly reliable. We also took care of some other issues, including getting the headlights hooked up properly, which was a foreign success.
As we continued to work on our trusty MR2, we couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. With only one day left before we would fire her up for the first time, the tension was building. after we get that on there it's just getting all the water lines ran and a couple final things we still got to put injectors in this thing since we're boosting it now it's still on stock injectors and then get all those lines ran like I said and yeah it's pretty close it's literally almost good for a water test yeah like tighten all the clams and seal up the exhaust deal and then it's ready that is looking pretty slick yeah I think it turned out really good we'll build a little Mount to just support the weight and then it's tucked out of the way nice and tight back there yeah that came out really good so we were debating where to put that guy for a long time we were thinking about putting it down over there but the piping and stuff would just get really kind of complicated this wasn't the easiest thing either but I just had to make a whole bunch of pie cuts and uh it ended up working out the best I think right behind the engine there I can't film too much of what's behind wide over there just blur it all out I've been working on something too well why it's been welding this intercooler it also floats it's also a pile of dude it's awesome that's all we're going to say about that squeeze in there well we found an issue this bong is not going to clear the seat it was fine but once we put a 90 degree fitting on it it barely hit like that one I'm gonna crawl in there and see how much room we're working with we're hoping we can take that guy back off and this and just do like a hard 90 into the manifold that will sit as high as this one is and keep it a little more low profile and hopefully that should work definitely not as much room in here anymore I don't know if that's gonna work dude I don't think you're fitting oh I'm fitting there I got an idea it's like let me fit a whole bunch of people in a little clown car yup that's you right now oh Lord look at this we got a leg with a flop or a slide I guess all the way on the other side of the boat oh yeah we're good yep change and just kind of go over the car we haven't touched it since we ran the 770 so it really doesn't need too much other than just to change the oil and it should be good to go top it off with fuel but before we take it out this weekend there's a good chance we might turn it up depending on who we get a race against and while it's running and driving I want to prove that she's still somewhat streetable so since we have to go get oil I figured why not take the MR2 go pick up the oil in the car itself and I'll go get some Taco Bell while we're at it just to show that the MR2 currently could still be driven as a street car it only has a five gallon fuel cell and that's going to be the limiting factor of how far it could go but still has a cooling system there's no reason I can't drive it to Taco Bell fresh off a seven second rip just how the car sits you know when we go to the bill of block one day if we end up doing that we might not have a full cooling system anymore and at that point it would be a full race car but as she sits we can still take it to Taco Bell so not only is it a for sure seven second MR2 now but we can still go get our Baja Blast and I'm going to prove that
