BookTube-A-Thon TBR!

My Favorite Poets and Upcoming Readathon TBR

I'm so excited to finally dive into my upcoming readathon TBR, which I've been putting off for far too long. As a book lover, I always have a few books on the go at any given time, but this week I've decided to focus on completing seven books in addition to reading poetry and graphic novels.

First up, I'm going to tackle some poetry. My favorite poet is not included in my list, but I do have her latest collection that I've yet to pick up. It's the perfect opportunity to finally get around to reading it, especially since I plan on spending time outdoors while I read. There's something about getting lost in a good book outside that just feels right - perhaps by the ocean or under a shady tree. Whatever the setting, I'm eager to get into this collection and see what beautiful words I've been missing out on.

Next up is The Grace Keepers by Christi Logan, which has been on my TBR since I joined BookTube almost two years ago. Despite reading the first 30 pages back in 2019, I never made it past that point for some reason. Not because I didn't enjoy it - just because life got busy and I wasn't in the mood at the time. However, when someone told me that if I like The Night Circus, I might also enjoy this book, I knew I had to give it another try. I actually picked up this specific edition of the book because of its beautiful cover - it's so shiny and pretty, with gorgeous artwork on both sides of the dust jacket. And just when I thought that couldn't get any better, I discovered that it even comes with gorgeous math end pages and a wrap-around design! I'm really excited to dive into this one and see if it lives up to my expectations.

The final challenge for me is simply reading seven books in total - which kind of makes it a freebie choice, since I can choose whatever I want. Since Avatar: The Last Airbender is still a favorite TV series of mine, I've decided to read the next comic installment that's been sitting on my shelf, Smoke and Shadow Part One. This will bring me up to seven books, but I'm also hoping to finish reading some other comics that I haven't gotten around to yet - there are only five more in total that I need to get through! Since comics and graphic novels are such quick reads, I feel like this is the perfect choice for a readathon - I can get through these quickly and easily, without sacrificing too much time from my reading goals. Plus, knowing that I'll be able to finish up some of my TBR will give me a great sense of accomplishment.

Throughout my video vlog, I mentioned that I'd be following my social media channels, as well as doing a separate vlog for the readathon itself - we'll see how that goes!
