A Fun Day at K1 Speed

need to get this thing detailed the steel brakes make an absolute disaster out of these white Wheels which I am thinking I do want to do an upgrade probably go ahead and get myself a set of carbon ceramic brakes for this car you know when these cars first came out that upgrade from the factory that spec of ceramic brakes was super expensive I think at one time at the very beginning of ceramic brakes being offered on street cars it was like a 40 $1,000 box you had to check when you spec your car a lot of people got steel Brakes in the beginning that's why because they were just so expensive now they're relatively inexpensive you know for the most part I think they're like a quarter of that price brand new so about $10,000 for all four corners and they use the same caliper so it's really just a pad and then the actual ceramic rotor package that you need to get you still use the same the same rotor so we're sort you still use the same caliper I've even had my coffee and I'm still on mess today okay let's head to the HQ another gorgeous day here in Southern California going to give you guys a little bit of that supercharge d10 noise the shifts are crisp when you get the DCT W the tune from BF engineering just the right amount of Pops I had the kill tune on here for a while I'm not going to lie guys maybe I'm just getting old I couldn't hack it every gear shift every time I drove it was like and then there was obviously some Flames but due to the direct injection with these engines Nick was informing me that it's it's not the same as like a V12 Lamborghini the say that you can't get a really that big of a flame to come out of it at least not safely for the engine long-terms health then I opted to detune it a little bit so it wasn't on the Kil tune 24/7 I do like to drive this car to and from my hotel late at night or leaving my HQ late at night and on the other side of our street here is residential and we've had Neighbors come by basically voice their concerns that the cars are loud late at night and I'm trying to be a good neighbor I'm doing my best you guys this side is like in like industrial and then this side is all housing I'm trying to respect the here yeah here's my buddy Daniel's car this one's going to have for now he's just going to do uh the stage one kit but he's going to have the option of uh doing Flex Fuel and all that other stuff cuz he want to run on the 85 carbon carbon clutch new flywheel and I'll make about like 1 12,200 on the 85 that drive like drives great really it drives amazing it really does no bu I'll be the judge of that we had a we had a cent metal clutch that we did like one of the discs one of the discs were stock and one of the discs were obviously different friction material and that car it held the power 1,200 horsepower no problem but it was really like jittery when you first take off would imagine then you the carbon stuff is not like that dude it's soft as hell but that's the problem the problem with that is we need a lot more plates in to hold the power in order to you know make it that smooth and you just need like we had a triple disc clutch that we did carbon carbon on the silver car and uh that car when we're in New York um I mean a month and a half ago that car was on like 11 lb of boost we turned it up to 19 lb of 19 and it made a 1720 wheel and the the clutch did not like that so the clutch like a it just was slipping like crazy somewhere in there somewhere in space that one's getting a 3.8 L built motor our new intake manifold that we're making with six additional injectors it's got a fully built motor fully built clutch it should make about 1,300 to the tire so 1300 1300 yeah in the 9911 in the 992 yeah yeah we're going to release a lot of stuff when we get to the new couple of versions the kit one is obviously a stock Motor stock TR stock clutch then you can go up none of them are stock clutch oh no you can't even eat the power no way really yeah why cuz it makes way too much torque makes too much what torque boost boost so you're starting this project right here yeah here's my buddy Daniel's car this one's going to have for now he's just going to do uh the stage one kit but he's going to have the option of uh doing Flex Fuel and all that other stuff cuz he want to run on the 85 carbon carbon clutch new flywheel and I'll make about like 1 12,200 on the 85 that drive like drives great really it drives amazing it really does no bu I'll be the judge of that we had a we had a cent metal clutch that we did like one of the discs one of the discs were stock and one of the discs were obviously different friction material and that car it held the power 1,200 horsepower no problem but it was really like jittery when you first take off would imagine then you the carbon stuff is not like that dude it's soft as hell but that's the problem the problem with that is we need a lot more plates in to hold the power in order to you know make it that smooth and you just need like we had a triple disc clutch that we did carbon carbon on the silver car and uh that car when we're in New York um I mean a month and a half ago that car was on like 11 lb of boost we turned it up to 19 lb of 19 and it made a 1720 wheel and the the clutch did not like that so the clutch like a it just was slipping like crazy somewhere in there somewhere in space that one's getting a 3.8 L built motor our new intake manifold that we're making with six additional injectors it's got a fully built motor fully built clutch it should make about 1,300 to the tire so 1300 1300 yeah in the 9911 in the 992 yeah yeah we're going to release a lot of stuff when we get to the new shop a lot what dude it looks so good sitting here how you getting back back where back to HQ
