Unboxing the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition

The OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition: A Collaboration That's Sure to Delight Speed Enthusiasts

In an exciting collaboration, OnePlus has teamed up with the renowned British sports car manufacturer, McLaren, to create a limited-edition variant of their flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 6. Dubbed the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition, this phone is designed for those who share a passion for speed and innovation.

Upon unboxing the device, it's clear that the designers have taken great care in incorporating elements that reflect both brands' values of performance and style. The package arrives in an impressive orange and black box, adorned with the familiar oneplus logo, accompanied by a small book dedicated to the collaboration between OnePlus and McLaren. This book serves as a testament to the enduring partnership between the two companies, with a foreword highlighting their shared pursuit of speed and innovation.

The OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition is an evolution of the original Oneplus Sixty phone, with several new features that cater specifically to enthusiasts of high-performance electronics. The device's design is inspired by the Formula 1 (F1) world, with vibrant orange and carbon-fiber patterns throughout its sleek and sturdy build. This aesthetic is carried over to various elements, including the charging cable, which boasts a braided design for improved durability.

One of the most striking features of this phone is Warp Charge 30, an advanced fast-charging technology that promises to deliver up to three days' worth of power in just 20 minutes. According to OnePlus, Warp Charge 30 achieves this feat by employing a new charging cable and battery design that ensures safe and efficient energy transfer. This feature is sure to delight users who value speed and convenience.

Another notable aspect of the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition is its generous RAM allocation – 10 gigs in total. While it's uncertain whether this level of RAM is necessary for all users, it undoubtedly makes the device future-proofed to some extent. The phone's performance will likely remain snappy even as software updates and new apps continue to arrive.

Visually, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition appears almost identical to its non-edition counterpart, with only subtle differences in the shade of orange used along the edges of the device. However, a closer examination reveals an attractive carbon-fiber weave pattern that adds depth and visual interest to the phone's design. Upon further inspection, it becomes clear that this woven effect is also present on the phone's back cover.

The packaging includes additional touches that showcase the brand's commitment to delivering premium experiences for their customers. A soft plastic case with a woven McLaren design accompanies the device, along with a power adapter that supports Warp Charge 30 and has clips for easy cable management. The case itself sports an attractive, matte-finish black color, which serves as a nice contrast to the vibrant orange accents found throughout other parts of the package.

A small note from OnePlus' CEO includes words of appreciation for the company's fans and partners, including McLaren. This is a heartwarming gesture that underscores the bond between both companies and their shared passion for innovation and performance.

Finally, it's worth noting that the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition will be available for purchase on December 13th, albeit in limited quantities. As one might expect, this exclusive variant comes with a higher price tag than its non-edition counterpart – $700 to be exact, or roughly $150 more than the standard Oneplus Sixty model.

In terms of pricing and value for money, it's essential to compare the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition to other high-end smartphones in the market. While it may not offer the same level of performance as some flagships from Samsung or Google, its unique blend of style, innovative technology, and branding makes it an attractive option for fans of both OnePlus and McLaren.

For enthusiasts who place a strong emphasis on speed, design, and exclusivity, the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition is undoubtedly worth considering. With its impressive features, stylish aesthetic, and premium packaging, this limited-edition smartphone is sure to spark excitement among those in the know.

charge feature that's been available on oneplus phones so warped charge 30 according to one plus should deliver a day's worth of power in 20 minutes or specifically three 3700 milliamp hour to 50 percent capacity in 20 minutes so there's a 37 million battery you should be able to get about 50% in just charging it with 20 minutes and they're using this new design for the charging cable the charger and the phone battery design to deliver that in a safe manner so you're getting really fast charging which is sort of the theme of fast with McLaren you're also getting 10 gigs of RAM whether that much ram is necessary is another question but that's how much RAM you're getting so certainly is future proofing this phone a little bit more and the rest is mostly similar features of either the one the standard blog post 60 and I believe there we go that's the McLaren edition one plus 60 let's first take that out move this to the side see the back here you get that orange papaya color around the edges it's very faint kind of little amber s Caswell over on the front it looks more or less the same to the standard one plus 60 and yep you still get the same fingerprint sensor right there in the middle and let's peel this off and I'll take that one off later but it says McLaren logos right there so you get a nice little branding there and yeah really like look at that color difference towards the edges it really looks nice it's a nice little touch and this is obviously the phone for anyone who loves all things McLaren but other than that the design is in two different you do have a little weave pattern the carbon fiber weave pattern across shimmering across the entire glass back over here so you can sort of see the differences between the two definitely a lot more shinier than this matte standard one +60 and you can really get the color to shine if you shine it in the light so let's put that over on the side for a second what else do you get in the Box you get a case and it also has this McLaren branding that weave pattern again it's a soft plastic case I believe and a little a little note from people our CEO of one-plus and what I'll spend a little plus cardboard put a little nice glass thing here that says salute to speed with Clara MCL three three edition carbon-fiber 2018 handcrafted in England and this is licensing to just collaborate or commemorate to this occasion and believe this is just warranty information on that kind of information yet then you get standard in the box along with that SIM card pin and this is the really cool papaya orange orange PI a charging cable that's included in the box and it has these clips as well to help you with your cable management and it's nice braided so it's durable and strong and this is what helps you get that much faster warp charge 30 speed so you can get a day's worth of power in just 20 minutes so that's continuing that little color theme again including here with the little inside area of this USB a port also more McLaren branding oneplus branding over here and that is the warped charged dirty block and of course since the oneplus sixty doesn't have a headphone jack you also got a really nice themed adapter right here for your 3.5 millimeter headphone jacks so that's about all you get in the McLaren one plus 60 Edition so this edition goes on sale on December 13th they are there is a limited amount available so as soon as they sort of stop selling or run out of those then you probably won't be able to get this Edition again and it goes for sale for $700 $6.99 to be specific which is about one hundred and fifty dollars more than the base one plus 60 price tag you're also getting more storage in this version as well so a couple of nice reasons to buy this one over the standard one and it's still not as expensive as you say a galaxy s 9 or Google pixel three for example so if you're eyeing a one plus sixty and you really love McLaren this is the phone you'll want to buy\n"
