I Tried Building an ALL-WHITE Streaming Setup!

Here is the rewritten text in a well-structured article format:

**My Amazing Ikea Desk Setup**

I was so excited to try out my new Ikea desk, but it had one major flaw - I couldn't clamp anything on it. Specifically, both sides and across the back of the desk made it impossible to attach anything securely. To fix this issue, I drilled a hole in the side of the desk, which turned out to be a great idea. The white razor part I added with the hole not only hides the cables but also adds a sleek touch to the overall design.

I was particularly impressed with how clean and organized my setup looks. I achieved this by using Razer products, including the mouse pad, mouse dock, and keyboard. I set each of these items to White, which made them blend seamlessly into the background. The RGB lighting added an extra layer of sophistication, although I did encounter some issues with it not being controllable.

Speaking of lighting, I was thrilled with my new soft box, which adds a warm glow to the room. I paired this with my Google Nest device to create a cozy atmosphere. But the pièce de résistance is the microphone - it's absolutely incredible and sounds amazing, especially considering its affordable price point.

For those interested in setting up their own streaming setup, I have a Skillshare course on OBS Studio that covers everything from graphics to alerts settings. It's free to watch, and you can get one month for free with my link.

As I set up my mic and webcam, I couldn't help but feel excited about the possibilities this setup offers. The Elato webcam is top-notch, and I've also had great feedback on the microphone from listeners.

If you want to learn more about my streaming setup or discuss gadgets and tech, join my new Discord server - the link is in the description below. Thanks for watching, and I'll see you in the next video!

WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enthe internet keeps showing me these white themed setups especially Tik Tok and I couldn't hold it anymore so I bought fake plants the most cheesy speakers ever this checkout for 50% of the price now I have been looking forward to installing this desk for a very long time part of the reason is that it doesn't look like a cheap desk it sure looks like something very solid now the desk also should have great Cable Management so I'm going to be able to add a power strip on the back like this and that way nothing is going to be visible from the front I've already built a bunch of parts of the desk and I think this is going to be the best looking setup I've ever built and at first I was really excited about this back of the desk to hide everything at the back after which I found out that the desk actually comes with a cas cable tray it's empty over here as you can see on this example image with this design the cable tray is over here but that means that it's going to be faced towards you this is what I was talking about this cable tray would be visible from the front since you're going to be looking at the desk like this and right now it looks like you can hide it however trust me if you start putting cables in there and then you start hiding everything and there's a bunch of them then there's no way that this is going to look clean now usually there's other parts to install but I'm going to keep it at this so as you can see this is the desk on the Ikea page and it also comes with this side table which is those planks over there however in one of my previous setup reviews there was a person that was using this desk and at first I didn't really know which desk he was using but I really liked it and turns out it was this Ikea mum desk but without the table on the side so I'm going to keep it like this now this is probably the cheesiest setup I'm ever going to build but these white setups are popular for a reason they look good and I bought this very cheap RGB strip I think it was less than $20 it comes without an application but it's probably going to look good and easily going to be able to attach this strip all the way across also across the screen I am going to put a monitor arm here and then the strip is going to go through the monitor arm across the screen so let's look where the monitor arm is I think it's this package here let's put it on the desk I also quickly want to show you what's inside here it was too difficult to do it while holding the camera but it's the first time I'm going to use a light like this in a streaming setup I've wanted to do it forever I mean look at this this is a crazy light it's one of these lights that are very popular for film making I I mean look over there I am using one of those lights now the crazy thing is that no one thinks of these lights for streaming but they're not that much more expensive than for example something like an Elgato kyite think an Elgato key light is like around $200 and then this is around $250 which is definitely a lot for lighting but if you're serious about your stream you're serious about your setup this might be an option and I just want to test it in a setup to see if it's actually a good idea I'm not going to bore you with the whole building process I will however test this light first before I built this soft box so I turn off my big light I'm going to turn this on now oh look at this it's actually very bright look at that so this soft box is almost installed so under this you can see where the light will be coming through and then the light will go through this diffuser which is in the middle of the soft box after that the light will also go through that diffuser now the same thing happens with my soft box and what this does is making the light extremely diffused and soft which makes her skin look better which also makes it so there's less Shadows now a decent test is going to have to wait until we install this in the setup but I am already looking forward to the webcam end result now a monitor arm this is always a gamble look at this it is white with silver or aluminum it is the exact same color pattern as this razor keyboard also the exact same as the mouse same thing with the Google Nest Hub this setup is going to be a masterpiece now I'm not going to bore you with the whole building process so here's a very fancy time lapse okay so we do have a problem because because I finished this part however when I wanted to put it on I realized that this plank here is not something usual however I think with this desk we're going to have no choice but to use this system here and just drill a hole right here put this through and then connect the plate like this instead of using a clamp okay so let's hope this is a decent Ikea plank so now this should go through it and it does so I just attached everything it is connected through the desk it looks great already this arm not only looks good it's also very high quality look at this I cannot take the screen off and then when I switch this then I can just lift off the screen and I can shove it on again flip this and boom now there is also room for cable management in the arm so then the cables can go like this to the Bottom now this main monitor is one I've used a lot in previous builds it is my go-to for a 1440p gaming monitor now this one here is 4K but 60 HZ so it's the perfect combination for streaming now I think I mentioned that I was going to all these RGB strips across the back of the monitors however I just remembered that I did that in a previous video and it was a big mess and eventually the strips start getting loose so I'm going to keep it simple and clean for this setup and as you can see it comes with double-sided tape on the back so I can just tape it on the side here because this side of the desk and then the back of it are going to be against the wall so the RGB strip is going to give a very clean look this is absolutely perfect and actually the strip isn't long enough because look at this at the end here the last LED is right here so this part is not going to be lit I hope it's not going to be that big of a problem but the small part of the desk isn't going to light up the wall now I completely forgot but there's a second strip in the box so I am going to use that for the back of the monitors by the way the price of this LED strip well of both of these strips was $11 I think it's time to turn the desk around and start adding some cool stuff because man do I have an awesome combo this razor combination goes together perfectly now usually that Mouse isn't really the one that comes with this combin ation usually it's this mouse as you can see they are promoting it as a combo however look at this white and silver Viper ultimate this looks amazing and the first thing we need to check out is the white or silver RGB mouse pad now it's a pretty small mouse pad to be honest it's pretty white but it's definitely not tall or high and the reason I chose for this mouse oops first of all it's a very lightweight and amazingly looking Mouse but also there's a wireless charger and whoops there's a plastic and you can simply charge the mouse wirelessly which is amazing so we can plug the USB in this Hub and we will plug it into the PC later this is looking great already I mean look at the aesthetic the setup is going to be awesome so next we have the keyboard and I'm really looking forward to this if I want to make this a perfectly clean setup to be fair I would need to drill a hole right here so we can get this cable through the desk just like the hole I drilled for the monitor arm however that would mean I'm completely destroying the desk so I'm going to have to think about that and I think that this keyboard was Wireless I assume there's USB VI receiver and there is it's a wireless keyboard it also comes with a wrist rest and a cable so I assume this is for charging the keyboard because well if it's going to be Wireless it's going to have to be charged now if we take a look at this combination here I don't think we have any other choice than to remove this cable here because it's cluttering the desk now I have to say this keyboard feels amazing especially the short travel distance and then the smoothness when you reach the bottom I am a big fan and this might become my main keyboard this feels amazing now there are two things we need to do right now the first one is checking out this webcam which just released this week they also helped sponsoring this build however first something more important I want to drill this hole for the mouse pad because to be fair I've always wanted to make a build where I drill holes to hide cables and make it absolutely perfect however when you start doing that you start destroying the desk and then it only fits for this specific setup since you already destroyed the desk for the monitor arm I might as well do this kind of build right now okay so I figured out the perfect spot it's time to make a big hole let's hope I didn't mess up the position so I'm going to take the USB cable and then just push it through this is going to be such a clean setup we just made this setup very clean and I'm very proud of it the keyboard makes you choose between Bluetooth and then 2.4 GHz which is through the USB I'm not sure if you can see it but the keyboard has a very pretty white RGB you will probably see it right now the mouse pad also has RGB pretty clean and the mouse has RGB here on the razor logo the wireless charging station here also has RGB and there we go this looks amazing it is time to check out the Elgato webcam this feels pretty like oh that's right I did make a Youtube short on the day that the webcam launched and I'm really looking forward to checking out the webcam in detail because it was very impressive I can already tell you that this webcam the Elgato face cam Pro is the perfect bridge between usual webcams that are around the $150 and then premium DSLR cameras which well started around 500 600 700 the Elgato face cam Pro as I said just launched it's 4K 60fps which to be fair even though it is an expensive webcam absolutely it's a very premium webcam it's $350 with 4K 60 FPS at that price point is absolutely crazy and you're going to see the image quality in a bit so this is the Elgato face cam software it already connected but as you can probably see here my light is behind me and that's absolutely detrimental for image quality the light needs to be in front of you not behind you what we're going to do is we're going to install this soft box here in the setup right there on the top right because it absolutely makes sense to test the professional video lights together with the webcam now this is a desk form I ordered it's from a company called small Rick and we have a problem again because this back panel here it makes it so we can't connect anything on the desk so I'm going to have to use one of my stands instead and maybe it's not a bad idea because using this big of a light that we're going to use attaching that to the desk would have been kind of clunky let's try to position this soft box all right I'm going going to turn it on and there we go now I'm going to turn off my softbox so let's see how much light the other one produces and this is going to be absolutely perfect for streaming now I do have some bad news because I just filmed the whole segment actually I can use this camera here CU it looks amazing by the way we are going to fix this but I just filmed the whole segment and I forgot to press record on the screen recording here now it's good news for you because you don't have to watch boring installation Parts besides the soft box on the right right here I also have this led panel I didn't unbox it so this was the LED panel this is like a desk arm however it's to put on your monitor and I had never seen something like that but it turns out you just put it on the monitor like this but you can just hang it on there it's very sturdy and we are going to fix this and also the focus because as you can see this is because of the auto exposure and then we also have Focus breathing if I'm doing stuff you can absolutely see me getting blurry and then in Focus again so here in the software we can disable autofocus and then we can just find the perfect distance for me I think it was 29 because as you know I already did this whole part and then here we have Auto exposure we disabled that and then we can just reduce the iso till this right here doesn't get Overexposed now I think I just have a very shiny forehead because it's always this one part now there's also Auto wide balance but this usually works pretty well as you can see on the image now you could change the wi balance but if you set it to automatic it's pretty good but I want to take a moment to appreciate the quality of this webcam I can zoom in on it and look at this I'm going to zoom in 200% and this image quality is still better than most webcams out there by the way if you zoom in a lot this is a great tip I do this with cameras too if you zoom in on your eyes like this then you can perfectly adjust the focus because you're very zoomed in now so we can find the best one I think it's this then I can zoom out again and then you're perfectly in Focus look at this it's absolutely crazy and also with the soft box here looks great now here's the best part on the top you see an effect step and these are all effects that you can use if you have an Nvidia graphics card which a lot of Gamers have definitely streamers and this is an AI video effects tool that will remove your background but can also blur it and as I explained before that's kind of what's missing here to make this look more professional so you can for example change your background to this now you could actually use certain backgrounds that you add yourself as content kind of like people on Tik Tok do when they're telling a story and then they say like I came home at my desk and then I did this but as a part of the effects you can also see blur and by default it's at 100% which is crazy but you can reduce this and then make it so the background is kind of blurred and it's really high quality look at my hands now for those who say 4K you really don't need this for streaming if you select 1080p then let me turn off this effect what they are doing is using the large sensor of this webcam by the way it's a Sony sensor it is much larger than usual webcams Harris heler did a great explanation on the sensor and the quality of the webcam in his video about the launch you can watch that if you want more information but the 1080p will also look more professional than usual 1080p webc comes because the big 4K sensor well it's not this big it's probably like this big but this sensor is being used to compress the image down to 1080p which results in great 1080p quality the quality of this webcam is absolutely crazy now the next product by the way this microphone here it's not going to be black it's a white one and I think it's going to look absolutely amazing in this setup with the RGB however I do have here that I've wanted for a very long time and that's a smart home kit with a Google Nest Hub in one of the previous setup reviews I did I I think it was the first episode there was a person that had the device on his desk and I didn't really know what it was after uploading the video a lot of people were telling me it was a Google Nest Hub now I can't believe I didn't recognize it however I've never really seen one of these in real life I know no one who uses a Google Nest Hub but I want to have one of these when I move into my new studio which is going to be in about 3 weeks and I want to use a Google Nest there that will control all the lights all my studio lights the RGB maybe one button to turn off all the devices in the whole studio and to test it I bought a of four smart plugs by the way this here is the first footage I'm showing about my studio on the YouTube channel it's actually a complete apartment and when you enter you would come into the living room however this will be my filming area this is where I will unbox stuff I will build setups here and then this room here is where I will build my ultimate setup the wall you're seeing is a false wall I will hide all my cables behind this yeah I will be moving into that studio in a few weeks I am so looking forward to that now to be fair I have no idea how to turn is on does this always need to be plugged in oh probably I thought this was rechargeable but guess that won't be the case and there we go it just turned on so I need to give my studio a name ah and now the application says it found the nest Hub now the nest Hub and my phone are now connecting to the network now I have to set up my voice real quick so I guess Google is going to learn how bad my accent is okay Google remind me to water my plants every Monday hi I'm your Google Assistant here to help you throughout your day so you can get started I did not expect that now this doesn't really feel very responsive it's kind of laggy maybe that's just the first time now the first and perfect test we can do is trying to make our dumb softbox smart so usually you just use a simple switch here to turn it off or on so I'm going to plug in this Smart Switch first plug the light into that and so the lights turned on already but now we need to set up the switch on this console here okay so I just finished making the softbox smart the way this works is pretty simple so this smart plug is linked to an application on my phone from the plug then that application is linked to the Google home application also on my phone and as you can see I linked the switch so now I turn it on and boom the softbox turns on I can also turn it off it's very quick but now the real test is going to check if I can turn it on right here cuz I'm not really sure if it automatically links Etc so I just have to click on this then go to home control right here this is the Smart plug there we go this is perfect for our streaming setup now something I've always wanted to have is this right here these are white and very very decent speakers and I also got some STS for them because well I saw them in an example and it made them look really good now I have been testing these speakers for a while as soon as they arrived because I ordered them for this setup I couldn't hold myself from unboxing them and starting to use them and I can tell you they sound absolutely amazing however I didn't check out the stands yet they feel more sturdy than I thought I thought they were going to be plastic but it's kind of metal and look at that these speakers look absolutely amazing and before I got these I always wondered if buying more expensive speakers really makes a difference and after using them for a while now these aren't like crazy speakers of $2,000 for example they were about $300 if I'm not wrong which is still expensive so I could definitely hear a difference between $50 speakers and then these 300 they make everything you play on them sound better so if you want decent speakers I will definitely link them below so now I've been looking forward to this the whole time we have a completely white microphone also completely white mic arm and then what should be a very decent white wireless charger by the way it's not only a pretty mic it's also one of the bestselling microphones on Amazon and I've wanted to test this for a while because it's from the same company that has the fine k669b it's one of the most popular budget microphones so I assume that this mic here which is a bit more expensive will probably have the same or even better audio quality and also has RGB so very exciting stuff and then the microphone arm is also very exciting because and this is a big one for anyone who's looking to build a white themed setup whether it looks like this one or completely different doesn't matter finding a goodlook white microphone arm is pretty much impossible it also feels very sturdy so that's a big plus it's a requirement not really a big plus however one thing that's a negative and maybe it's not even a negative but the desk clamp is in Black maybe it can get some contrast in the setup now I'm going to have to attach it right here on the front of the desk because honestly I thought this Ikea desk was going to be absolutely amazing and I thought I was going to be recommending it for years but there is one very big negative about this desk and is that both on the side side there and all across the back of the desk you can't really clamp anything on it it's also the reason we had to drill a hole here to attach the monitor arm to the desk by the way very happy about this hole we drilled I already forgot about it but it looks amazing this white razor part together with that hole to hide the cables is definitely my favorite part of the setup I mean look how clean this looks this looks absolutely gorgeous and by the way we are going to have to change the color of the RGB as well as the color of that so I just installed Razer signups and I have four razor products here this is the mouse pad let's set it to White and then look at what it does oh that looks great now this mouse dock let's see it change perfect now I can increase the brightness to 100 o that makes a difference okay now the mouse also needs to change so I'm going to try to show it to you I'm going to make it static and then I'm going to change it to White and then now the last thing is the keyboard I hope I can increase the brightness cuz it's pretty dull all right luckily it's at 30% so let's change it to 100 and oh perfect look at this I mean look at this lighting this looks absolutely gorgeous oh I almost forgot about the RGB strips they are I think they are blue I'm going to try to change them to White okay so apparently this here is white now it kind of looks like greenish of course that's what you got with really cheap RGB strips in my next video I am going to have great RGB so I'm looking forward to that I think the next one is going to be the Christmas streaming setup so subscribe if you want to see that and it's finally time for the microphone and the wireless charger I finally need the solution to put on my desk where I can just put my phone on and then forget about charging my phone pretty much forever and I hope this is going to fit my iPhone 12 Pro Max Let's test it Moment of Truth there we go and it's charging this is absolutely what I've been needing for a very long time now one thing I was planning to add the Ikea shelf here and then a white Ikea pegboard right there on the right with some plants on the Shelf however because this soft box there I'm going to keep all that Ikea stuff for an Ikea setup people have been asking me for that for a very long time this mic is going to look amazing especially in this setup by the way since we're building a streaming setup I just have to mention it I have a skillshare course on OBS Studio it goes over everything you would need to set up your stream Graphics alerts settings so I will link it in the description because it's free to watch because you can get one month for free with my link so if you're into streaming it's a no-brainer to check it out now the thing I'm looking forward to the most is to see this light here in white cuz that will perfectly fit the setup but I'm going to position the mic on the right of the setup cuz otherwise the mic microphone arm is in front of the screen here I'm going to turn on this light already also going to turn on the soft box with our Google Nest here and there we go okay so I did some research apparently the RGB isn't controllable you can only turn it off by muting the microphone and if you turn it on it's just going to cycle through a bunch of RGB it's time to test the microphone this webcam is absolutely crazy and I've also just listened to this microphone and it also sounds pretty good especially for around $40 to $50 now I'm very happy with the setup if you want to talk more about it you can join the new Discord server I made a completely new TVN Discord server it's all about setups gadgets and streaming so you're free to join the link is in the description big props to elato for this webcam thank you so much for watching and I will see you in the next video have a nice daythe internet keeps showing me these white themed setups especially Tik Tok and I couldn't hold it anymore so I bought fake plants the most cheesy speakers ever this white Ikea desk apparently there's a very aesthetically pleasing razor just like the hole I drilled for the monitor arm however that would mean I'm completely destroying the desk so I'm going to have to think about that and I think that this keyboard was Wireless I assume there's USB VI receiver and there is it's a wireless keyboard it also comes with a wrist rest and a cable so I assume this is for charging the keyboard because well if it's going to be Wireless it's going to have to be charged now if we take a look at this combination here I don't think we have any other choice than to remove this cable here because it's cluttering the desk now I have to say this keyboard feels amazing especially the short travel distance and then the smoothness when you reach the bottom I am a big fan and this might become my main keyboard this feels amazing now there are two things we need to do right now the first one is checking out this webcam which just released this week they also helped sponsoring this build however first something more important I want to drill this hole for the mouse pad because to be fair I've always wanted to make a build where I drill holes to hide cables and make it absolutely perfect however when you start doing that you start destroying the desk and then it only fits for this specific setup since you already destroyed the desk for the monitor arm I might as well do this kind of build right now okay so I figured out the perfect spot it's time to make a big hole let's hope I didn't mess up the position so I'm going to take the USB cable and then just push it through this is going to be such a clean setup we just made this setup very clean and I'm very proud of it the keyboard makes you choose between Bluetooth and then 2.4 GHz which is through the USB I'm not sure if you can see it but the keyboard has a very pretty white RGB you will probably see it right now the mouse pad also has RGB pretty clean and the mouse has RGB here on the razor logo the wireless charging station here also has RGB and there we go this looks amazing it is time to check out the Elgato webcam this feels pretty like oh that's right I did make a Youtube short on the day that the webcam launched and I'm really looking forward to checking out the webcam in detail because it was very impressive I can already tell you that this webcam the Elgato face cam Pro is the perfect bridge between usual webcams that are around the $150 and then premium DSLR cameras which well started around 500 600 700 the Elgato face cam Pro as I said just launched it's 4K 60fps which to be fair even though it is an expensive webcam absolutely it's a very premium webcam it's $350 with 4K 60 FPS at that price point is absolutely crazy and you're going to see the image quality in a bit so this is the Elgato face cam software it already connected but as you can probably see here my light is behind me and that's absolutely detrimental for image quality the light needs to be in front of you not behind you what we're going to do is we're going to install this soft box here in the setup right there on the top right because it absolutely makes sense to test the professional video lights together with the webcam now this is a desk form I ordered it's from a company called small Rick and we have a problem again because this back panel here it makes it so we can't connect anything on the desk so I'm going to have to use one of my stands instead and maybe it's not a bad idea because using this big of a light that we're going to use attaching that to the desk would have been kind of clunky let's try to position this soft box all right I'm going going to turn it on and there we go now I'm going to turn off my softbox so let's see how much light the other one produces and this is going to be absolutely perfect for streaming now I do have some bad news because I just filmed the whole segment actually I can use this camera here CU it looks amazing by the way we are going to fix this but I just filmed the whole segment and I forgot to press record on the screen recording here now it's good news for you because you don't have to watch boring installation Parts besides the soft box on the right right here I also have this led panel I didn't unbox it so this was the LED panel this is like a desk arm however it's to put on your monitor and I had never seen something like that but it turns out you just put it on the monitor like this but you can just hang it on there it's very sturdy and we are going to fix this and also the focus because as you can see this is because of the auto exposure and then we also have Focus breathing if I'm doing stuff you can absolutely see me getting blurry and then in Focus again so here in the software we can disable autofocus and then we can just find the perfect distance for me I think it was 29 because as you know I already did this whole part and then here we have Auto exposure we disabled that and then we can just reduce the iso till this right here doesn't get Overexposed now I think I just have a very shiny forehead because it's always this one part now there's also Auto wide balance but this usually works pretty well as you can see on the image now you could change the wi balance but if you set it to automatic it's pretty good but I want to take a moment to appreciate the quality of this webcam I can zoom in on it and look at this I'm going to zoom in 200% and this image quality is still better than most webcams out there by the way if you zoom in a lot this is a great tip I do this with cameras too if you zoom in on your eyes like this then you can perfectly adjust the focus because you're very zoomed in now so we can find the best one I think it's this then I can zoom out again and then you're perfectly in Focus look at this it's absolutely crazy and also with the soft box here looks great now here's the best part on the top you see an effect step and these are all effects that you can use if you have an Nvidia graphics card which a lot of Gamers have definitely streamers and this is an AI video effects tool that will remove your background but can also blur it and as I explained before that's kind of what's missing here to make this look more professional so you can for example change your background to this now you could actually use certain backgrounds that you add yourself as content kind of like people on Tik Tok do when they're telling a story and then they say like I came home at my desk and then I did this but as a part of the effects you can also see blur and by default it's at 100% which is crazy but you can reduce this and then make it so the background is kind of blurred and it's really high quality look at my hands now for those who say 4K you really don't need this for streaming if you select 1080p then let me turn off this effect what they are doing is using the large sensor of this webcam by the way it's a Sony sensor it is much larger than usual webcams Harris heler did a great explanation on the sensor and the quality of the webcam in his video about the launch you can watch that if you want more information but the 1080p will also look more professional than usual 1080p webc comes because the big 4K sensor well it's not this big it's probably like this big but this sensor is being used to compress the image down to 1080p which results in great 1080p quality the quality of this webcam is absolutely crazy now the next product by the way this microphone here it's not going to be black it's a white one and I think it's going to look absolutely amazing in this setup with the RGB however I do have here that I've wanted for a very long time and that's a smart home kit with a Google Nest Hub in one of the previous setup reviews I did I I think it was the first episode there was a person that had the device on his desk and I didn't really know what it was after uploading the video a lot of people were telling me it was a Google Nest Hub now I can't believe I didn't recognize it however I've never really seen one of these in real life I know no one who uses a Google Nest Hub but I want to have one of these when I move into my new studio which is going to be in about 3 weeks and I want to use a Google Nest there that will control all the lights all my studio lights the RGB maybe one button to turn off all the devices in the whole studio and to test it I bought a of four smart plugs by the way this here is the first footage I'm showing about my studio on the YouTube channel it's actually a complete apartment and when you enter you would come into the living room however this will be my filming area this is where I will unbox stuff I will build setups here and then this room here is where I will build my ultimate setup the wall you're seeing is a false wall I will hide all my cables behind this yeah I will be moving into that studio in a few weeks I am so looking forward to that now to be fair I have no idea how to turn is on does this always need to be plugged in oh probably I thought this was rechargeable but guess that won't be the case and there we go it just turned on so I need to give my studio a name ah and now the application says it found the nest Hub now the nest Hub and my phone are now connecting to the network now I have to set up my voice real quick so I guess Google is going to learn how bad my accent is okay Google remind me to water my plants every Monday hi I'm your Google Assistant here to help you throughout your day so you can get started I did not expect that now this doesn't really feel very responsive it's kind of laggy maybe that's just the first time now the first and perfect test we can do is trying to make our dumb softbox smart so usually you just use a simple switch here to turn it off or on so I'm going to plug in this Smart Switch first plug the light into that and so the lights turned on already but now we need to set up the switch on this console here okay so I just finished making the softbox smart the way this works is pretty simple so this smart plug is linked to an application on my phone from the plug then that application is linked to the Google home application also on my phone and as you can see I linked the switch so now I turn it on and boom the softbox turns on I can also turn it off it's very quick but now the real test is going to check if I can turn it on right here cuz I'm not really sure if it automatically links Etc so I just have to click on this then go to home control right here this is the Smart plug there we go this is perfect for our streaming setup now something I've always wanted to have is this right here these are white and very very decent speakers and I also got some STS for them because well I saw them in an example and it made them look really good now I have been testing these speakers for a while as soon as they arrived because I ordered them for this setup I couldn't hold myself from unboxing them and starting to use them and I can tell you they sound absolutely amazing however I didn't check out the stands yet they feel more sturdy than I thought I thought they were going to be plastic but it's kind of metal and look at that these speakers look absolutely amazing and before I got these I always wondered if buying more expensive speakers really makes a difference and after using them for a while now these aren't like crazy speakers of $2,000 for example they were about $300 if I'm not wrong which is still expensive so I could definitely hear a difference between $50 speakers and then these 300 they make everything you play on them sound better so if you want decent speakers I will definitely link them below so now I've been looking forward to this the whole time we have a completely white microphone also completely white mic arm and then what should be a very decent white wireless charger by the way it's not only a pretty mic it's also one of the bestselling microphones on Amazon and I've wanted to test this for a while because it's from the same company that has the fine k669b it's one of the most popular budget microphones so I assume that this mic here which is a bit more expensive will probably have the same or even better audio quality and also has RGB so very exciting stuff and then the microphone arm is also very exciting because and this is a big one for anyone who's looking to build a white themed setup whether it looks like this one or completely different doesn't matter finding a goodlook white microphone arm is pretty much impossible it also feels very sturdy so that's a big plus it's a requirement not really a big plus however one thing that's a negative and maybe it's not even a negative but the desk clamp is in Black maybe it can get some contrast in the setup now I'm going to have to attach it right here on the front of the desk because honestly I thought this Ikea desk was going to be absolutely amazing and I thought I was going to be recommending it for years but there is one very big negative about this desk and is that both on the side side there and all across the back of the desk you can't really clamp anything on it it's also the reason we had to drill a hole here to attach the monitor arm to the desk by the way very happy about this hole we drilled I already forgot about it but it looks amazing this white razor part together with that hole to hide the cables is definitely my favorite part of the setup I mean look how clean this looks this looks absolutely gorgeous and by the way we are going to have to change the color of the RGB as well as the color of that so I just installed Razer signups and I have four razor products here this is the mouse pad let's set it to White and then look at what it does oh that looks great now this mouse dock let's see it change perfect now I can increase the brightness to 100 o that makes a difference okay now the mouse also needs to change so I'm going to try to show it to you I'm going to make it static and then I'm going to change it to White and then now the last thing is the keyboard I hope I can increase the brightness cuz it's pretty dull all right luckily it's at 30% so let's change it to 100 and oh perfect look at this I mean look at this lighting this looks absolutely gorgeous oh I almost forgot about the RGB strips they are I think they are blue I'm going to try to change them to White okay so apparently this here is white now it kind of looks like greenish of course that's what you got with really cheap RGB strips in my next video I am going to have great RGB so I'm looking forward to that I think the next one is going to be the Christmas streaming setup so subscribe if you want to see that and it's finally time for the microphone and the wireless charger I finally need the solution to put on my desk where I can just put my phone on and then forget about charging my phone pretty much forever and I hope this is going to fit my iPhone 12 Pro Max Let's test it Moment of Truth there we go and it's charging this is absolutely what I've been needing for a very long time now one thing I was planning to add the Ikea shelf here and then a white Ikea pegboard right there on the right with some plants on the Shelf however because this soft box there I'm going to keep all that Ikea stuff for an Ikea setup people have been asking me for that for a very long time this mic is going to look amazing especially in this setup by the way since we're building a streaming setup I just have to mention it I have a skillshare course on OBS Studio it goes over everything you would need to set up your stream Graphics alerts settings so I will link it in the description because it's free to watch because you can get one month for free with my link so if you're into streaming it's a no-brainer to check it out now the thing I'm looking forward to the most is to see this light here in white cuz that will perfectly fit the setup but I'm going to position the mic on the right of the setup cuz otherwise the mic microphone arm is in front of the screen here I'm going to turn on this light already also going to turn on the soft box with our Google Nest here and there we go okay so I did some research apparently the RGB isn't controllable you can only turn it off by muting the microphone and if you turn it on it's just going to cycle through a bunch of RGB it's time to test the microphone this webcam is absolutely crazy and I've also just listened to this microphone and it also sounds pretty good especially for around $40 to $50 now I'm very happy with the setup if you want to talk more about it you can join the new Discord server I made a completely new TVN Discord server it's all about setups gadgets and streaming so you're free to join the link is in the description big props to elato for this webcam thank you so much for watching and I will see you in the next video have a nice day
