440HP AUDI S5 V6 Supercharged _ 294km_h REVIEW on AUTOBAHN by AutoTopNL

**Driving Experience with the Audi S5**

As we set out to test drive the tuned Audi S5, I couldn't help but notice how quiet it was compared to my previous experiences with this drivetrain. The sound system is designed to be more subdued than usual, which can make for a less engaging driving experience. However, once we hit the open road and put the pedal to the metal, the exhaust note transforms into a much more pleasant sound. The supercharger kicks in, producing a rich and satisfying V6-like tone that's music to the ears.

**Acceleration and Performance**

One of the standout features of this car is its incredible acceleration. With the limited slip differential removed, we were able to launch from 0-100mph in just 4.9 seconds, which is impressive considering the S5's curb weight. However, with the Sport mode engaged and the throttle held firmly on the brake pedal, we managed a blistering 3.7 seconds - an astonishing feat that showcases the car's raw power. The supercharger plays a significant role in this acceleration, providing an additional boost of power that helps to push the S5 from 0-100mph even quicker.

**Sound and Dynamics**

One aspect of the driving experience that sets this car apart is its sound design. Gone are the days of loud pops and bangs - instead, we're treated to a clean and refined V6-like tone that's both soothing and invigorating. The exhaust note is surprisingly quiet at low speeds, but as soon as we hit the throttle, it transforms into a rich and satisfying sound that's hard to resist. This attention to detail in design has paid off, resulting in a driving experience that's not only fun but also subtle.

**Comparing to Previous Experiences**

This car represents a marked departure from my previous experiences with similar drivetrains. Gone is the usual drama and complexity - instead, we're treated to a smooth and refined package that's easy to drive and enjoy. The lack of adaptive dampers may be a drawback for some, but I found the ride to be surprisingly comfortable and composed. This S5 has been tuned by Technique in the Netherlands, who also worked on my previous car, and it shows - the limiter has been removed, allowing us to extract every last bit of performance from this engine.

**Performance Metrics**

We managed a respectable 9.55 seconds for the 0-200mph run, which is a serious feat considering the S5's curb weight. This puts it in some impressive company, rivaling even the mighty Mercedes E55 supercharged V8. While our car may not have the same level of outright power as its German counterpart, its agility and responsiveness make up for it - this S5 can hold its own on any road.

**Conclusion**

Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with this Audi S5's performance, handling, and attention to detail. The combination of this engine and seven-speed S-tronic gearbox is a match made in heaven, providing seamless shifting and effortless power delivery. While it may not be the most dramatic or exciting car to drive, its subtlety and refinement make it a joy to spend time with - especially when pushed hard on the track.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enwhat's up ladies and gentlemen and welcome to this pov review by autodopanal my name is max and today we've got another viewers car this is jordy's audi s5 from 2015. and it is the second viewer car today with this engine this three liter supercharged v6 which is really really cool also to experience two different versions this is a stage one tune the other a6 was a stage two and also of course in an s5 a bit lighter a bit smaller a bit more sporty so really curious to see what this car is like today i'm going to show you around it we'll take a look at the spec jordy has got and after that we'll take it for a drive towards the old van for an automatic blast now you can follow yody on instagram at dutch audi s5 the car has been wrapped in this maritime blue by enos attack which is quite a nice color for this car you have a beautiful contrast with all the black accents around the car the blacked out grille as well and still the classic aluminium mirrors which i really like i think it's a good look that old s and rs look that they kind of went away from but i really like that so uh it's good to see that the mirrors are still there now the wheels we've got these blacked out s wheels very nice suits the car super well and then behind that we've got audi s brakes not the best brakes you already told us that they overheat super quickly and then if you brake hard and then you stop uh the discs just warp and you have a horrible vibration in the brakes and that happens quite quickly so yeah that's not great but beautiful 20-inch wheels and around that we've got pirelli p0 rubber very nice we've got a supercharged badge right there i believe that the car originally has a v6 t badge which is kind of weird since it's supercharged should have been v6s as i said beautiful mirrors um you already also blacked out the window surrounds and then at the rear we've got a black s logo s5 logo and a miltek catback exhaust so it's got stuck down pipes with catalytic converters and then this miltek exhaust from there to the rear but it is super super loud i'm not sure how they have been able to do that with stock downpipe but it's mega loud and then we've got the engine the v6 tfsi as i said the supercharged v6 with stock 333 horsepower and 440 newton meters of torque this stage one tune delivers 440 horsepower and 520 newton meters of torque so nice little jump not as much power as that a6 that tfsi the regular looking uh grandpa spec car but that is because that car had the supercharger pulley upgrade as well and the crank pulley so that is basically what you can do with this engine but a stage one from 333 to 440 is already very nice very nice upgrade now this 2015 car has this this engine this model this facelift but of course before that they had the v8 but it's got the same amount of torque even though the v8 did have a bit more power 354 and then 440 newton meters of torque and then this car came with v6 and everyone was like oh no v8 to v6 but i actually think that this is a better fit for this car the the v6 supercharged it's much lighter in the nose and yeah i just think it's a more sporty choice of course going away from a v8 is always painful but yeah i think it's a better car for it so interior wise have to say still looks really good it's very clean it's there are no damages there are no scratches looks very very nice and has definitely aged well i would say a nice little carbon fiber on the center console here strange thing on this car it doesn't have drive mode so normally you have a button right there and you can switch between efficiency comfort sport dynamic whatever it's called this car doesn't have that which is kind of weird beautiful s5 steering wheel fun fact s5 logo on the steering wheel s5 logo on the seats they stopped doing that at some point and they just went for s and rs to save money because then everyone has the same steering wheel instead of the just the s5 thing uh i like this better also on the gear lever this is much cooler so i'll start it up and you can hear that it is definitely a lot louder then stock a lot louder and you can actually also hear that the supercharger you can hear it sometimes especially i have to remember to open the window especially the right window i think well the left window as well because the supercharger is in the middle so it should be just as loud right oh no because we have the intake on the right probably that makes it a little bit louder as well the sound anyway let's take it for a drive all right so let's find out as i said we don't have a dynamic mode so we are basically always in dynamic mode i guess but yeah it's definitely a lot louder than stock now the exhaust is quite nice at high revs high rpm you have that nice v6 sound and you hear the supercharger in the background but when you drive it regularly like in drive in just around town the exhaust is quite drony you can hear it resonates a little bit it's a really dark deep sound it's not that pleasant it's it's more pleasant when you're full on the throttle like that and you've got a big crackle on the up shift so stock 0 to 100 this car does 4.9 seconds but this one is actually quite a bit quicker so i'll demonstrate that we'll go to sport for the gearbox traction control in sport as well foot on the brake turn off start stop foot on the brake full throttle and that is well i don't know if that was but the fastest we've been able to do is three point seven five which is very very quick and martin thought that he could have done it even quicker because you can see that the revs they climb in the launch control and then they drop again so if you time it right and you let go at the exact right time when the revs are at the highest and the boost is highest you should be able to do it even quicker which is super impressive i also like the cleanness of the sound no pops and bangs no drama it's just a nice v6 sound with that supercharger which is quite a bit louder than i was expecting and you can actually i thought i could hear it i think you can hear it even better when you sit right there with a window down but i have to say it's been a while since we've driven uh cars with this drivetrain with this engine and they were always stuck i believe so it's really fun to drive two of these tuned ones on one day very different cars very different approach also stage one stage two but also this exhaust is mega loud and the other one wasn't but i do think that i appreciate this car a little bit more now after a few years because back when it came out i mean i was also like oh no the v8 is gold i love the v8 i don't want the v6 but as i said i do think that the car is better for it because you have so much because it's so much lighter in the nose of course it's much more economical it's basically faster than the v8 here we go that is full throttle so we don't have adaptive dampers but the car is quite nice quite comfy the car has been tuned by technique in the netherlands which is coincidentally the same tuner as the a6 we drove this morning and the limiter has been removed that is quick 280 already so of course we also measured the 100 to 200 performance of this supercharged s5 and we did it 9.55 seconds as you can see that is seriously impressive that's a quick time it's not far off my mercedes e55 with the supercharged v8 of course that car is much heavier but that is quite an impressive time i have to say nice so again it's the same story with this car as it was with the a6 i am seriously impressed by the way it just keeps going it feels like it's super happy to just go and have fun at the ultima that is 291 i have to release the throttle quite early because i don't want to ruin jordi's brakes which they are new and uh as i said they do have a tendency to to warp so i don't want to ruin his new brakes but that is impressive what a nice car now this engine which is it's a very responsive engine and it's mated to this seven speed s-tronic gearbox which is a really nice combo of course the new s5 has just a regular automatic zf 8-speed and i do like the aggressiveness and the response the responsiveness of this setup this engine and this gearbox it's a very good combo i'm not sure we'll get top speed here because we've got a little pump and an exit shifting at 290. so i'm going to end it here almost back at the gas station hope you enjoyed it jordy i hope you enjoyed watching a video of your own car i know it's always weird to hand over the keys of your car uh to someone else
