**Building a Custom PC: My Experience with the Montech King 95 Pro**
I recently had the opportunity to build a custom PC using the Montech King 95 Pro motherboard and the RTX 480 Arrow graphics card. I chose the Intel Core i9 3900K with some white silver Kingston memory and an NZXT Kraken Elite water cooler, but instead of the standard NZXT fans, I opted for the Edmontech fans. Overall, I'm very happy with the final result, which turned out to be a beautiful case with plenty of space on both sides.
The building process was surprisingly easy, even more so than expected. One of the standout features of this case is the cable management system, which was also well thought-out and easy to use. The case came with a little screw box that included clear labels for each screw, making it simple to identify what screw was needed for what purpose. This attention to detail is something you don't often see on cheaper cases or mid-range ones, so I was pleasantly surprised.
However, there is one notable downside to this case: the lack of a built-in GPU holder. With GPUs becoming increasingly large and heavy, it's become a standard feature in many high-end cases. The Montech King 95 Pro was designed with a higher-end build in mind, which makes me wish they had included some form of basic GPU support.
Fortunately, the case's performance more than made up for this omission. With all fans limited to 40 DB at 50 cm of distance, I ran a stress test and found that the system cooled effortlessly, with temperatures remaining well within the comfortable range of around 33°C Celsius. When gaming, which is where heat from the CPU and GPU really comes into play, the RTX 480 was pulling about 315 watts, while the i9 was using around 100 watts. Despite this, everything remained very cool, with the CPU temperature at around 61° C and the GPU cores averaging around 64°.
In terms of noise levels, I found that even under load, the case's fans were still relatively quiet, with a reasonable DB level at 40. However, it's worth noting that if you prefer an even quieter setup, you can easily do so by adjusting fan settings or using alternative cooling methods. Additionally, swapping out the glass panel for the mesh one didn't significantly impact performance.
**Case Review**
Overall, I'm extremely impressed with the Montech King 95 Pro case. By following a popular design trend and pushing that price down to make it more attainable, the creators have produced a fantastic product that looks great and performs even better. The addition of six addressable RGB fans pre-installed with both the RGB and airflow pointing in the right direction is a fantastic touch, as well as the included fan and RGB controller with enough headers for a completely fan-filled system.
**Conclusion**
In my opinion, this case offers an excellent value for its price. At $110 for the base model, it's already decent, but at $150-$160 for the Pro version, it makes even more sense. Compared to other flagship models on the market, which often cost significantly more, I believe that this case provides a great alternative without sacrificing performance or aesthetics.
If you've always wanted one of these "fish tank" style cases, but were put off by the price, this is definitely a case worth considering. By not breaking the bank and still delivering high-quality components, Montech has made it possible for people to enjoy some amazing PC hardware without feeling too penny-pinched.
**Final Thoughts**
As always, my thoughts about this case are completely my own, but I hope that by sharing my experience, you'll get a better understanding of whether or not this case is right for you. "WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enin this video I'm going to talk about this King 95 which is a brand new case from montech now montech as a brand is mostly known for their budget cases that just offer a lot of value for your money and even though this King 95 is supposed to be their new premium Flagship model the price is still the first thing that kind of stands out so the basic version of this case will cost you $110 while the pro version that comes with six addressable RGB fans will cost you $150 so it is significant ly cheaper than pretty much all fish tank style cases that are extremely popular at the moment but does montech here have the quality and the feature set required uh to compete with some of the biggest brands on the market let's find out let's begin the king 95 is available in four different colors black white red and blue and you can get the base version that doesn't have any fans or you can go for the pro version that comes with six addressable RGB fans combined with a fan and an RGB control for up to 10 devices and considering the fact that the pro version is only about $ 40ish more it does seem like a much better deal than the basic version so unless you already have fans that you want to use or you really want to use a different brand of fans I would just go for the pro version I actually have both the white pro version and the blue basic version right here so we can compare them a little bit in terms of design Monta clearly jumped on the bandwagon and followed uh the fish tank Trend that has become so popular since the very first 0 Dynamic case from Le and Lee came out and a lot of brands have released their versions as well so montech doesn't really get many points for originality but I still think that they've done enough of different little things to make this case stand out a little bit more while many other models offer straight edges the king 95 has curves on the front including a curved glass edge that is actually pretty hard to do the panel design on the on the top and the side is done pretty well uh they've added a large bright LED strip to the front and there are a few little design choices on the inside that can be very handy like the hinged fan bracket that you can move to the side or to the front depending on what build you have in mind I also think the size is very nice considering this is a dual chamber case it really finds that balance between being able to fit large components and large gpus without leaving you with a lot of empty space and to fit a large ATX power supply along with custom cables and a lot of storage options on the other side without making the whole case too bulky or too wide the build quality is also very good especially when you consider the fact that they're trying to make a much cheaper alternative to cases like the y60 from height the chassis is made of thick metal the top and side panels are also made of metal and they feel very decent and very sturdy and while the strip that is next to the glass on the front panel is plastic it is made of good quality plastic they also gave it this brushed aluminum texture so that was probably the reason it does look like metal and it is also the reason it doesn't show any fingerprints at all the front I/O offers two USB 3 ports one type- C Port separate audio and microphone jacks an RGB controller button and of course a power button and the top and side panels include fine dust filters that cannot be removed but you can easily remove the panels themselves to clean them and there's a very large dust filter under the case that you can remove but you have to access it from the back of the case so the build quality definitely doesn't reflect the lower price point of this case which is not something I can sa for the quality control because there are definitely a few things that I want to point out here so the panel gap on the right side could be a bit tighter because you can clearly see the RGB light just seeping through the top corner of the right side panel has a bit too much space and it just doesn't connect perfectly but that is only on the White model while the blue one doesn't have that issue at all but there's still a few small misalignments and some inconsistencies here and there on both cases so they definitely cut some Corners when it comes to uh manufacturing tolerance and even though there is no huge issues that cannot be justified with the much better price than most competitors on the market you still need to kind of keep an eye on those small little things you also get an optional Mash front panel if you prefer that over glass uh which really kind of changes the whole look of the case I personally prefer the glass front but it is a nice option to have and it is very easy to swap between the two and you can actually rotate that side bracket and pull it towards the front of the case if you do decide to go for the mash panel which is a great idea and a useful feature but there's also a little catch here that you need to know so if you go for the pro version that comes with six pre-installed fans the 320 mm fans on the bottom and the 240 mm fans on the side are reverse models and they're actually pulling the air in while having the RGB on the back so you can see it nicely in the case and if you use the mash panel and you decide to flip the fan bracket to the front you will either have to turn the fans to keep them as intakes but then you won't have any RGB on the front or uh you can keep them as they are and turn them into outtake fans uh that will give you some RGB on the front but it will also change the overall airflow of the case or you can just buy additional fans that are not reversed which is also kind of silly if you already bought a case that comes with six included fans so if you go for the base version this bracket is a bit more useful but if you go for this pro version I would just leave the fans as they are on the side and not move the bracket at all getting inside the case is easy enough uh you just need to pop the top panel off and each side panel is held by a single thumb screw in the back combined with a click mechanism and the front panel just pops off as well giving you plenty of space to work with on the inside the design is pretty consistent as well with the same dot design for the mash panel at the bottom the back the expansion slot covers and so on and as I mentioned before on the bottom and on the side we have these reverse style fans so the RGB shines up even though they function as intake fans they don't have any fancy click or magnet mechanism to connect to each other but the quality of the fans feels completely fine and they also look pretty fine especially when you take into account that they sell for about $10 or Euros which is pretty low for an addressable RGB fan since this is a dual chamber case there is plenty of space in the back you can fit large power supplies up to 190 mm uh there's plenty of space for extra storage and even if you add a lot of drives you you'll still have a lot of space for that lazy Cable Management I really like the fan and RGB Hub on the pro version with all the connections nicely lined up and very easily accessible and on this pro version here there are three spots left so that is just enough to add another three fans at the top without having to use or to buy splitter cables so the Hub controls the fan strip six stock fans and three possible extra fans which is just great but let's look at the build that I have right here so I really wanted to go for another all white build using the z790 orus pro motherboard and the RTX 480 Arrow graphics card and I went for the Intel Core I9 3900 K with some white silver Kingston memory and an NZXT Kraken Elite water cooler but I Ed these montech fans instead of the NZXT fans and I really do think this build turned out very pretty with that amount of space on both sides the building process was also very easy especially the cable management part and I really like that they included a little screw box with clear labels so you know which screw you need to use for what purpose which is something you usually don't find on cheaper cases and to be honest even on most mid-range or high-end ones the only obvious downside is the lack of a built-in GPU holder that's becoming a standard on more and more cases because gpus have become so big and so heavy and this case was made with a higher end is build in mind so I really do miss that feature and it doesn't even need to be like anything fancy just a basic GPU holder would be a nice upgrade already when it comes to Performance it's not really surprising that a well ventilated case with this many fans does really well uh if you run a CP only workload with this setup the water cooling will instantly push most of the heat out of the top of the case leaving the other temperatures looking like the system was running idle and this is with all fans limited to 40 DB at 50 cm of distance but while gaming which is a bit more of a relevant result because you get heat from the CPU and the GPU that the case needs to uh get rid of the RTX 480 was pulling about 315 watts and the I9 was using around 100 watts and everything still looked very good the CPU was at around 61° C the GPU cores were at 64° on average and the internal case temperature sat at a very comfortable 33° Celsius now anything under or around 40° should be considered more than good enough so this is actually a great result and again this is at 40 DB at a 50 cm distance which is what I would consider to be a reasonable noise level for APC underload but as you can see with the results here you can easily run them even quieter if you wanted to now I did swap the glass panel for the mash one as well with the stock fan still in that stock position and it actually didn't change the situation that much so if you do prefer the mash front look of this case that will be completely fine too so overall I really like this case it does follow a very popular Trend but not every case needs to start a new one and just taking a popular concept and making it much more attainable by pushing that price down by a lot is a completely fine tactic for me and they're also doing some different things to make it even more interesting like the curved glass at the front like the extra front option like the fan bracket that you can rotate and so on and even with some of those little issues that I mentioned earlier it is still a really well-built case and the end result really doesn't feel and it definitely doesn't look like you're dealing with a budget case it is actually far from it and when it comes to Flagship models like this one it is very cheap $110 isar for the base model is already decent but $150 to $160 for the pro version makes even more sense in my opinion you get six greatl looking addressable RGB fans that are pre-installed with both the RGB and the airflow pointing in the right direction plus you get a fan and RGB controller with enough headers for a completely fan filled system which is a great deal in my opinion a y60 from height will cost you more the H9 Elite from NZXT will cost you way more and you will easily spend more than what you pay for the entire King 95 Pro for just six fans from some of the fancier Brands like Corsair NZXT or Leon Lee and while I do think those are great if you have a lot of money to spend if you don't this is so much cheaper while still giving you a really solid case and a fantastic look overall so if you always wanted to get one of these fish tank style cases but the price was putting you off this is a great option to consider anyways this is all I had for today I do want to thank montech for reaching out and sending this case but as always my thoughts about it are completely my own and I hope you got a whole picture that might help you decide if this case is for you or not uh
