SoundMagic E10C Review - The best just got (a bit) better!

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: ennow I've used loads of headphones over the years including a fair few of some magics e 10 series and actually they are my go-to brand I really really like them and for the value for money they offer for the sound quality I don't think there's anything that quite matches them so what's new about these 10 C's well it just came out in July 2016 and basically the main difference is they offer a much improved remote control and inline mic whereas on the old e 10 s model which introduced this inline mic remover and remote control it just had one button which would play pause and shuffle with a double press the biggest issue on the old e 10 s model for me was that even though it worked reasonably well the problem was it didn't have it didn't work with all types of devices all the time there's a little slider little toggle on the headphone jack itself which you've switched between a middle point and B and that would allow it to work for Android iPhone and other devices but the problem was and once setting it would work well for Android you'd get a good sound and the mic would work and the remote control work and button the other one if you switched it to say a that would would then work with iPhones but then the microphone and the controller wouldn't work but if you switch it to B it would work but the sound quality wasn't right so there was just a lot of faffing around and this didn't quite work properly this is completely cross-platform these will work with anything plug and play no worries just it will work there's no switches no toggles anything at all so you can go from your Android phone to your Apple iPad to your Windows desktop PC whatever you want it's going to work straight away both remote control and the sound everything will be just fine so really for ease of use and as I say cross-platform use these are quite significant upgrade actually but my only gripe about the inline remote control is that it's just one long button there it's a little tricky to know sometimes which one you're going to press and where the middle button is now there's actually a tiny tiny plastic little groove little outline a little bit of plastic sticking out of where the center is so you can just about feel where it is without having to look but it's not an elegant solution and all too often maybe I've got fat hands who knows but press to try and press the middle button to shuffle or pause all too often does a volume down on volume instead and it doesn't always respond to a double tap to shuffle in terms of design there's nothing really new but that's no bad thing the aluminium earphone housings and plastic braided cable all still feel and look much more expensive than the 40-pound asking price you can get them in black and silver like these and get them black and copper and also which I don't have in black and red in the box you get seven pairs of silicon ear tips from varying sizes as well as a travel hardcase and a three and a half millimeter Jack splitter which is a nice touch of course everyone's ears are different but for me the e10 sees like the e turns and the 10 s is beforehand nothing's really changed here sit comfortably in my ear so that's all well and good what about sound quality well I can tell you that they have a 15 to 20 mm Hertz response and dynamic drivers and all these technical details but to my ear they sound great the biggest difference between these and earlier style magic models is that the bass has been boosted and I'm a fan personally and while I do retain the same good dynamic range which works well with music and vocals including podcasts which I listen to quite a lot I have certainly noticed a significant increase in bass over the previous models which may put some people off if you value a truly natural and accurate sound they still have a rich full sound with a wide soundstage and a good treble in my opinion but that extra bass really gives it your music and extra oomph which I actually personally quite liked but it might not be to everyone's tastes it's not a huge difference but that's pretty much the only significant difference in terms of sound quality if you already are at eat N or eat NS ona compared to other brands of headphones including for dues and creatives and Sennheiser's and all those other ones I still genuinely think for my experience that sound magic are one of the best sounding in-ear headphones you can buy and they really put to shame earphones that cost twice three times as much so overall you can probably tell I'm a huge fan of the e10 CS and I do recommend them to just about anyone out there looking for a good pair of in-ear headphones but I think it's hard to give so much praise to a product without this review coming across as some sort of paid for advert or something which is absolutely not the case it's just that I think they are terrific and ultimately incredible value for money the only downside is they aren't a huge step up if you already do own a pair of e 10 s or e 10 s's it's pretty much just a better but not perfect remote control slightly redesigned from Jack and a BCS sound but given how often I use my headphones I listen to more time when I'm commuting I thought it's worth buying it buying a pair of them especially as I say given the price so I do highly recommend the sound magic eat NCS they've just come out and I have put links in the description below if you fancy buying them but let me know what you think of them whether you're a fan of sound magic or you have a different brand preference in terms of headphones or maybe you don't like in-ear headphones at all let me know in the comments below thank you very much for watching guys and I'll see you again
