Legends Tour DC winner shows us how dreams come to life! I Hot Wheels Legends Tour
**Hot Wheels Legends Tour: A Community of Enthusiasts**
It was an exciting morning at the Hot Wheels Legends Tour in Washington D.C. for enthusiasts who gathered to showcase their unique and creative takes on the iconic toy car. Among them, we met a few individuals whose passion for Hot Wheels is truly inspiring.
One such individual is Aaron Buck, a proud owner of a custom-built truck called "Cab Over Evolved." Aaron's love affair with Hot Wheels began when he was introduced to the hobby by his dad, who started collecting the toys back in the day. As Aaron delved deeper into the world of customizing Hot Wheels, he discovered a thriving community of enthusiasts who shared his passion.
**Aaron Buck's Journey**
For Aaron, building a custom Hot Wheel was just the beginning. He wanted to take his creativity to the next level and build an actual car based on one of his beloved Hot Wheels creations. After years of working on the project, Aaron finally realized that why not? He purchased a 1933 Dodge truck in 2012 as the foundation for his creation.
To start building "Cab Over Evolved," Aaron began by dismantling the truck's cab and reassembling it into six sections. He then built custom running boards and made the doors from scratch using sheet metal. The frame of the vehicle was designed to sit flat on the ground, with a suspension system that allowed for precise geometry.
**The Building Process**
For Aaron, building "Cab Over Evolved" was a labor of love that required patience, dedication, and creativity. He spent countless hours researching, experimenting, and refining his design until he finally achieved the desired result. The project's complexity was evident in every detail, from the custom-made windshield to the interior upholstery.
**A Dream Come True**
After years of working on "Cab Over Evolved," Aaron's dream of having a Hot Wheels creation recognized by the brand itself became a reality. In 2022, his truck was featured at the Hot Wheels Legends Tour in California, where it won first place in the competition. This achievement not only validated Aaron's hard work but also solidified his passion for building unique and creative Hot Wheels designs.
**Inspiration from the Community**
For Aaron, the community of enthusiasts who share his passion is an essential part of what drives him to continue pushing the boundaries of Hot Wheels creativity. By sharing their experiences and ideas with one another, these individuals inspire each other to try new things and explore fresh perspectives.
In the world of Hot Wheels enthusiasts, there's a common thread that weaves everyone together – a shared love for the iconic toy car and an unwavering commitment to creative expression. Whether it's building custom models or creating entirely new vehicles like Aaron Buck's "Cab Over Evolved," this community is all about celebrating individuality and taking the art of Hot Wheels to new heights.
**The DC Stop**
As we conclude our visit to the Hot Wheels Legends Tour in Washington D.C., we're reminded that creativity, passion, and dedication are essential components of any successful project. For enthusiasts like Aaron Buck, the journey itself is often more rewarding than the destination.
Throughout the day, we caught glimpses of other stunning creations, from custom Jeeps to meticulously restored vintage cars. The sheer diversity of designs on display serves as a testament to the boundless creativity and enthusiasm that define this community.
At its core, the Hot Wheels Legends Tour represents something greater than just a showcase for unique vehicles – it's an opportunity for like-minded individuals to share their stories, exchange ideas, and celebrate their collective passion for Hot Wheels.

this name because old trucks that the cab is over the engine is called a co e that's a cab over engine so since I changed the truck so much and it's nowhere near what it was I wanted to change it so I came up with cab over evolved first got in hot wheels actually through my dad he started collecting hot wheels and I saw a guy who customized hot wheels so that really piqued my interest so I got into that and I found out there was a whole community of people who built custom Hot Wheels you know I got more involved into that and before you knew it I built this Hot Wheel out of a Hot Wheels cabin fever and I took it out to the contest in California and actually ended up winning first place in the contest so fast forward ten years probably and I finally realized you know I built Hot Wheels why don't and I can build a car why don't I build a real Hot Wheel car so I bought this truck back in 2012 I think I bought the cab and it started from there to try to bring my dream of the little Hot Wheel to life build process starting with a cab I built a kind of a frame table to sit the cab line and cut the cab into about six sections leave running boards for made the doors from scratch out of sheet metal made the frame I like a truck lay on the ground so I had to build the whole front suspension to get the geometry right so that the frame will lay on the ground body will lay on the ground and narrow the rear axles so they tucked inside the fenders correctly I bought a 33 dodge diesel truck it used the voter transmission wiring is some other small parts out I can't remember exactly it's still not finished yes I do actually drive it I'm not driven as much I have as I've liked yet as I've just gotten it running last week the header windshield in it I'm gladly driving forever Garage Spirit leads to me somebody who's has that passion to take the time to build something that they've had in their mind and not build something that somebody else was built how Wales taught me basically to think outside the box and be creative just be an individual you know it not worry about what other people think is a cool car first thought the baby was called was that it was a dream come true something I've always looked forward to it is to be recognized by Hot Wheels for a building something to be a hot wheel to have my truck actually become a real Hot Wheel would be just amazing just because you would be dude for building that car like it doesn't matter how many years would go by people could buy that hot wheel and know who build itthank you all so much for coming out to our DC
