Emmy Eats Australia 6 & TimTam Slam -- an American tasting more Aussie treats

**Exploring Australian Treats: A Taste Adventure**

As I sat down to taste these delicious Australian treats, I couldn't help but feel excited about the culinary journey ahead. My friend Laura had sent me a care package filled with an assortment of Tim Tams, a classic Australian biscuit. She had also included some Cadbury Clingers, which were unfamiliar to me, and a Bounty bar, another popular treat in Australia.

First up was the Tim Tam, a chocolate-coated biscuit that is notoriously difficult to eat without drinking tea through it. I followed Laura's instructions to bite one corner, then the opposite corner, creating a "straw" effect. The result was perfect - hot tea flowed effortlessly through the nooks and crannies of the cookie, accompanied by a melty chocolate filling that transformed the biscuit into a soft, pudding-like treat.

Next, I turned my attention to the Cadbury Clingers. Laura had sent me two boxes, containing an assortment of oval-shaped treats with fruity flavors and milk chocolate coatings. The first one was banana-flavored, which surprised me with its strong limey taste. It was a unique combination that didn't quite work for me, but I appreciated the crunch of the outside shell. Unfortunately, the coating was similar to Whopper bars or Milk Dads, not exactly what I had expected from an Australian treat.

The Bounty bar was a welcome change of pace. Laura explained that it consisted of two coconut-filled bars coated in sweet milk chocolate, with a desiccated coconut center that added a nice crunch. The combination of flavors and textures worked beautifully, with the coconut flavor reminiscent of raspberry-flavored Jell-O.

My next treat was the Red Skin Intensely Raspberry Super Chewy Taffy. This strange, waxed paper-wrapped biscuit tasted surprisingly similar to lollipops or Jolly Ranchers, but with a strong artificial raspberry flavor that was almost overwhelming. It had a soft, sticky texture that was unlike anything I'd ever experienced before.

Finally, I turned my attention to the Tim Tam Adrian Zumbo Flavour Salted Caramel. Compared to the original Tim Tam, this variant looked slightly different, with a more caramel-like color and a stronger flavor profile. The addition of saltiness was an interesting twist, but I preferred the simplicity of the original.

As I finished my tasting adventure, I couldn't help but appreciate the unique flavors and textures that these Australian treats had to offer. From the melty chocolate filling of the Tim Tam to the coconut-flavored Bounty bar, each treat was a delightful surprise. And although some of them were unfamiliar or even challenging to eat, every single one was worth trying.

**A Final Thought: Exploring International Flavors**

As I concluded my taste adventure with these Australian treats, I couldn't help but wonder about the world of international flavors out there. What other unexpected combinations and textures are waiting to be discovered? From the spicy kick of Korean chili flakes to the creamy richness of Japanese matcha ice cream, every culture has its own unique culinary traditions.

As a food enthusiast, I believe that exploring these international flavors is essential to broadening our palates and understanding the rich diversity of global cuisine. Whether it's trying new spices, experimenting with different cooking techniques, or simply taking a taste of something unfamiliar, every culinary experience is an opportunity to discover something new and exciting.

So, if you're feeling adventurous, I encourage you to embark on your own international flavor journey. Visit local markets or try online stores that specialize in exotic ingredients. Take a cooking class or experiment with new recipes. Who knows what hidden gems and flavors await you around the corner?

let's go ahead and get started and these are called caramella koalas how great in the us we always call koalas koala bears and all my aussie friends always remind me koalas are not koala bears and i don't know why we call them bears but yes they're marsupials gosh look at all these i can already smell the caramel it smells delicious caramel koalas so stinking cute all right let's crack them open oh yes and very very similar to the caramel bar that we have here in the west nice milk chocolate coating on the outside and then inside you have a nice oozy caramel filling that's just a little bit salted and sticky and delicious i have a cup of tea with me because miss laura sent me some tim tams i actually did a tim tam slime way back in a video where i used milk and people balked and said no you have to use hot tea so today i'm going to use the hot tea if you've never had a tim tam there are two rectangular cookies that are sandwiched and enzyme are some cream and then the whole thing is covered in chocolate and they come in a ton of different flavors so a tim tam slam from my understanding is you bite one corner then you bite the opposite corner like that then you place one end into your t and you use it like a straw here we go and it works beautifully so all the tea manages to get through the nooks and crannies of the cookie and so you get hot tea and melty chocolate filling yummy goodness it is great and it completely changes the cookie because it softens it so when you taste it it's more like a pudding or something i'm sorry about my lighting we just had a huge thunderstorm so there's clouds that are passing over the sun so part of the change in light next let's try these and these are cadbury clingers so laura must have seen one of the videos i did in which i didn't know what a clinker was i still don't exactly know what a clunker is but she sent them to me so i'm about to find out look at the size of them i was not expecting them to be this big they're nice and oval shaped and they're about the twice of the size of a chocolate covered almond wow really big crunch the outside is milk chocolate and the inside is a little bit like seafoam so this one tastes a little bit limey so it's kind of an odd combination it's like a fruity flavor with chocolate oh wow almost chipped tooth on that one that one's banana not my favorite and the coating on the outside is milk chocolate but it's very similar to like a whopper or a milk dead so now i know what a clinker is it's like seafoam but it has fruity flavor and it's coated in milk chocolate nice next we're gonna have a bounty bar and i do believe we sell these in the states they're similar to almond joys i think but there's no almond there's two bars inside and that's what they look like i love the chocolate drizzle on top uh and it smells like coconut if you don't like coconut you're not gonna like a bounty bar but i do so here we go and it's just like i remember you've got jessica coconut in the middle that is sweetened and combined with some kind of syrup or something that kind of binds it all together you still get that kind of desiccated crunch of the coconut and then the whole thing is coated with a very thin layer of sweet milk chocolate it's great next we have something called red skin intensely raspberry super chewy and maybe they're like red licorice and it's wrapped in this kind of waxed paper so it's not like red licorice at all it looks more like a taffy yeah it smells like raspberry kool-aid it's very soft and sticky and very similar to like a laffy taffy and very very strong artificial raspberry flavor similar to raspberry flavored jello and this is a mint patty made by nestle and i'm thinking this might be very similar to a york peppermint patty oh it looks great and this looks a little bit more marshmallowy though oh but it smells great nice and pepperminty all right let's give that a go and it's very different than your peppermint patty the chocolate coating is thinner it's minty it's not as sweet and has a really fun texture it's a little bit soft and chewy a little bit more like a marshmallow and the chocolate is milk chocolate so it's sweet rather than having a slight bitterness that comes with your peppermint patty still great because it's chocolate mint together but very very different than my expectations nice i have one more thing and it's another tim tam and this is an adriano zumbo flavor and this is the salted caramel if we compare that to the original it looks pretty similar maybe a little bit more caramel in color mmm it smells different it smells more like a graham cracker that's what it looks like on the inside yeah it has a little bit of a mapley flavor and a little bit like gram yeah not bad but i think i like the original better the very end you get some of that saltiness yeah but i don't think it needs it i think the original is just where it's at then actually the chocolate mint ones are my favorite but that's no surprise right all right lara thank you again so much for sending me a little taste of australia thank you guys so much for watching i wouldn't be here without you let me know in the comments below what your favorite tim tam flavor is and yeah i hope you guys enjoy that i hope you guys learned something don't forget to follow like and subscribe and i shall see you in my next video
