The LGV 20: A Smartphone Vlogging Camera Redefined
As we were fortunate enough to have a unit of the LGV 20 with us while we were in Berlin, Germany, we couldn't resist the opportunity to try using it like a proper vlogging camera. Josh Magar from Android 30 is here to guide us through this experience.
We started by experimenting with the smartphone's wide-angle lenses on both the rear and front cameras. The LGV 20 comes equipped with these features, allowing users to have more freedom to play around with their lenses. For instance, we used the wide-angle lens to capture more people in our shot, as seen when Josh said "get a little bit more wide-angle put more people in you know I was here did you so this is actually a really good example of using both wide-angle lenses at the same time because we're using the multi view in the auto mode." However, there's one limitation to note: front-facing cameras do not have manual video controls like rear cameras.
To work around this limitation, Josh showed us how to use the wide-angle lens on the back camera to capture more people or objects in our frame. He demonstrated this by saying "you got to move your head to the fries or your hand as a show with the frame yeah this is truly vlogging I'm holding the same fried you can send fries." This creative approach allows users to get the desired shot, even without manual controls on the front-facing camera.
One of Josh's favorite features of the LGV 20 is using the wide-angle lens as the main camera for blogs. He explained that instead of using a selfie or front-facing camera, he simply turns the phone around to capture a wider shot. This feature is "super fun" and has become a staple in his vlogging routine.
During our time in Berlin, Josh wanted to get some coffee at Starbucks. However, he discovered that they were under construction and had not yet set up their new drive-through service. He joked about the situation, saying "Oh father no wait maybe they're deconstructing oh they're moving into putting a drive through it because those exist in Germany or something weird reason not Oh setting up." Despite this setback, Josh was determined to make the most of his camera and continue creating content with the LGV 20.
As we explored the city with Josh, we came across a lovely park in front of the Bundestag. He showed us how the smartphone's lens can zoom in or out, allowing for more flexibility in our shots. In particular, he noted that this feature is particularly useful for capturing wide or narrow shots, which is not possible with most smartphones. For aspiring vloggers looking to improve their content, Josh emphasized the importance of having a camera like the LGV 20.
The LGV 20 stands out as one of the most compelling options available for smartphone vlogging cameras. With its wide-angle lenses on both rear and front cameras, manual video controls, and advanced features like zooming capabilities, it's clear why this phone is a top choice among vloggers. As Josh concluded, "I want to go for the views money certainly one of the most compelling options so far dropping and three - perfect" - a testament to its value and potential as a vlogging camera.
