Midweek 180: A Mid-Week Roundup
The timer has started, and we're off! The first to comment will be back next week, and the first five comments will earn them a spot in my "Famous Five" alongside Ben Higginson, Andrew Lord, Andrew Collier, Tiffany Rudy, and Kevin Young. We're currently in the midst of summer, and our thoughts are turned to road trips. Marco Jay has been on a 7,500-kilometer road trip in his JCW Clubman, winning the Baltic Challenge. "I wish I was with you, my friend," he said, but we're all envious of his adventures.
Last week's question was about Auto High Beam on cars. The results were mixed, with some people loving it and others finding it didn't quite react quickly enough. Some had to revert to manually switching their lights on and off. This week, we want to know if you've done something recently that you haven't done in a long time. For John Formula One, the answer is playing golf for the first time in about two years. His fingers have cleared up after a problem, and he had a fantastic game. "I absolutely loved it," he said. We'd love to hear from our readers – what's been your recent adventure?
If you're a fan of racing, you might have enjoyed the recent Grand Prix. Bottas suffered a puncture, Verstappen came in for fresh tires, and Hamilton got a puncture on his last lap. It was an exciting finish! Lando Norris is another hero, always pushing the limits.
New car news has been making waves this week. Gordon Murray Automotive has unveiled the T-50, a three-seat Formula 1 car with the latest technology. The engine can rev to 28,500 rpm per second, and it's built to be incredibly lightweight. With a six-speed manual gearbox, this car is set to be a game-changer. They're only producing 100 units, and each one will cost over £2 million – not exactly within reach for most of us.
Next up is "Vintage Voltage" tomorrow evening at 9am/9pm on Quest. This week, Andrew is driving the Ferrari 308, which he absolutely adores. With its Tesla drivetrain and 250 horsepower, what's not to love? He'll be sharing his experience with us, and we can't wait to hear all about it.
Finally, for this Friday at 6pm on Electric Action, Andrew will be driving the new Kia Soul EV. He thinks it's one of the best electric cars he's yet driven, and it's been designed to compete with the likes of the Ford Focus ST. With its impressive specs and versatility, this car is sure to impress.
That's all for now – tune in next time for more automotive adventures and thrilling news from the world of motorsport. Until then, stay safe on the roads, and we'll catch you on the flip side!

turning the lights on and off yourself and this week's question i want to know if you've done something recently for the first time in a long time i played golf today for the first time in about two years because i've had a problem with the finger on this hand and it meant i wasn't able to hold the golf club properly but it's gone now my fingers are all good and i had a game of golf today and i absolutely loved it i'd love to know if you've had the same kind of experience recently formula one who wants to grand prix i hope you watched the last three or four laps because it was pretty boring up until then and then it all kicked off in a big way bottas getting a puncture verstappen coming in for fresh tires i bet he wished he hadn't done that and then literally on the last lap lewis hamilton getting a puncture i've never seen a formula one car driven so fast with only three wheels amazing race and lando norris yet again what a hero i i predict big things for him in the future but new car news this week is this this is the gordon murray automotive t-50 or the gtm t-50 um it is his new if you like rethinking of the what was the mclaren f1 it's a three-seat format car thrown all the latest technology you can it's got some amazing things it has a v12 cosworth engine that's going to rev to 12 100 rpm which is nuts uh highly lightweight construction the monocoque and all the body panels combined weigh less than 150 kilos the wet curb weight is only 987 kilos it's going to be absolutely amazing the engine though the engine can rev um two uh 28 and a half thousand rpm per second so it can do the rev limiter in 0.3 of a second i found that fascinating and it has a six-speed manual gearbox as well absolutely incredible they're only going to make 100 and sadly they're going to be over 2 million pounds so i'm not going to be able to get one uh this week's vintage voltage tomorrow evening at 9am 9pm on quest is a ferrari 308 and i drove it and it was absolutely stunning has a tesla drivetrain in 250 horsepower ferrari 308 what's not to like about that and then this friday at six more electric action actually i'd say i'm gonna drive the new kia soul ev it's brilliant that's all i need to say it the looks may divide opinion but it's a brilliant car really is so more diversity to the channel i always want to try and bring you a mix you know recently i've driven v8 supercharged cars and ridiculously loud things and 500 horsepower ford focuses and yes this week it's an electric car but i actually think it's one of the best electric cars i've yet driven and it's on the same base platform uh as the kia e nero that i drove to hamburg on vintage voltage a very very good car um but yes anyway i am waffling um so make sure you tune in to vintage voltage thursday because i think for me uh the ferrari we did was one of the halo casts of the series absolutely incredible thing and as i said i have driven it and it was sensational um so yeah anyway i'll see on the next film guys which is this friday at 6 p.m for the kia soul ev don't be put off by the fact it's an electric car because it's it's a really really good one anyway i'll see on that film
