Level1 News March 22 2019 - What Your Eye Color Says About Mark Zuckerberg's Net Worth

**Warcraft Gamers Who Refuse to Upgrade: A Cautionary Tale**

In an era where technological advancements are the norm, some gamers seem to have taken a stance on refusing to upgrade their equipment. This phenomenon has led to Blizzard Entertainment being left with no choice but to continue supporting older hardware in order to maintain its subscriber base.

Blizzard CEO Satya Nadella was recently quoted as saying that the company would not be subsidizing the cost of upgrading hardware for its subscribers. Instead, he opted for a more pragmatic approach, stating that if they could keep their current number of subscribers happy with what they already have, then there would be no need to invest in new technology.

This decision has led to Blizzard developing a video product that is designed to provide an alternative to the traditional gaming experience. The product, which involves strapping a camera to a fake penis and skydiving, was recently showcased at a promotional event. The video, which clocks in at just under 15 minutes long, is set to be released on mobile devices.

When asked about the inspiration behind this product, Blizzard officials remained tight-lipped. However, sources close to the project revealed that the idea for "Penis-in-a-Box" came about after a meeting with a group of venture capitalists who were eager to invest in the company's latest endeavors.

According to insiders, the team was tasked with coming up with a product that would appeal to a wide audience and generate significant revenue. After just a few hours of brainstorming, the concept for "Penis-in-a-Box" was born. The device is designed to be strapped onto a person's body, allowing them to capture high-quality video footage from anywhere.

While some have praised the product as a bold and innovative approach to gaming, others have expressed concerns about its content and potential impact on society. Critics argue that the product takes away from the artistic aspect of pornography and reduces it to a mundane experience.

Despite these concerns, "Penis-in-a-Box" is set to be released in the near future, with plans for distribution through online retailers. When asked about the product's potential backlash, officials remained confident, stating that they were prepared for any reaction from the public.

In related news, YouTube has announced that it will no longer promote videos over 15 minutes long due to concerns about viewer attention spans and content quality. This move is seen as a response to the rise of short-form video content and the increasing popularity of gaming streaming services like Twitch.

The impact of this decision on the gaming industry remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: it's going to take more than just a fancy gadget to get gamers' attention these days. With the rise of social media and online communities, gamers are more connected than ever before, and their expectations for entertainment have never been higher.

**The Future of Gaming: A Wild Ride?**

As we look to the future of gaming, it's clear that things are going to get wild. With the rise of virtual reality and augmented reality technologies, gamers are being given a whole new range of options for immersive experiences.

But with great power comes great responsibility, and it's up to game developers and publishers to ensure that these new technologies are used in a way that benefits both players and society as a whole. The recent development of "Penis-in-a-Box" raises important questions about the role of gaming in our culture and the impact it has on our lives.

Is this the future of gaming? Only time will tell, but one thing is certain: it's going to be an interesting ride.

**The Art of Gaming: A Timeless Pursuit**

At its core, gaming is a timeless pursuit that brings people together from all walks of life. Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, there's something about the thrill of competition and the sense of accomplishment that comes with beating a difficult level or completing a challenging quest.

But what sets gaming apart from other forms of entertainment? For many, it's the sense of community that exists around these games. From online forums to social media groups, gamers have found ways to connect with each other and share their experiences.

This sense of community is at the heart of what makes gaming so special, and it's something that developers and publishers should strive to preserve as we move forward into new technologies and formats.

In an era where everything seems to be changing, one thing remains constant: the desire for connection and shared experience. Whether you're a hardcore gamer or just a casual player, there's no denying the power of gaming to bring people together.

**The Javelin Thrower: A New Era in Gaming**

In a bizarre move that has left many scratching their heads, Olympic javelin throwers are now being asked to strap cameras to their javelins and compete in a new type of event. The idea behind this innovation is to capture high-quality video footage of the athletes in action.

But while this may seem like an exciting development for fans of track and field, it raises important questions about the role of technology in sports. Is this really necessary? And what does it say about our society that we're now willing to put cameras on athletes' bodies just to capture a few seconds of footage?

Only time will tell if this innovation becomes a success, but one thing is certain: it's an interesting move that has left many people wondering what the future holds for sports and technology.

**The Rise of Short-Form Video Content**

In recent years, short-form video content has become increasingly popular on social media platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok. From quick tutorials to funny skits, these bite-sized videos have captured the attention of millions of viewers worldwide.

But as the popularity of short-form video content continues to grow, there's a growing concern about the impact it has on our culture. Are we sacrificing quality for quantity? And what does this say about our society and our values?

In an effort to address these concerns, YouTube has recently announced that it will no longer promote videos over 15 minutes long due to concerns about viewer attention spans and content quality.

This move is seen as a response to the rise of gaming streaming services like Twitch, which have popularized the concept of live, interactive content. But while this may be beneficial for gamers, it raises important questions about the future of video content and the role that platforms like YouTube will play in shaping our online landscape.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhello today's March 22nd it's Friday and we're here with nonsense and social media for you which as a lot of people point out and we get it there's a lot of Facebook news there's a lot of Facebook the drain Facebook is like they're they're dead men walking and I don't even realize it I think some people realize it yeah but they have all the other companies to keep them afloat I think they can keep that going a long time it's like in Star Trek when data's daughter died and the Admiral comes out and he's like his hands were moving so fast I couldn't even see them that's like trying to keep things alive it's exactly like that that's a perfect analogy I remember the crazy woman that drove across the country to go YouTube and shoot people she wore a diaper so she wouldn't have to pose yesterday Oh rod you're mixing up your crazy yeah but she's got some company a youtuber has been arrested after crossing the u.s. to threaten Google for deleting his channel but it turns out it was his wife did you think that the YouTube career was worth worth starving so yeah it does look like the face of regret doesn't it oh so this guy had done some time for some kind of violent macular manslaughter oh that's right he accidentally killed his friend yeah so we decided to make a youtube channel about improving YouTube results and making money on YouTube and then the wife said it was like madness and didn't represent reality so she deleted it but I guess she didn't tell him so he went to youtube with three baseball bats how do you wield three baseball bats at the same time was he alone with you - yeah except myself his wife didn't go like you're getting obsessive about this she deleted it so moment of like discussion probably what you think that I am from the last episode he vandalized a bathroom on the way I don't know why was just sorry just have a ragin say I guess so and then that's why he got pulled over and admitted yeah I'm going to youtube to kick some ass so oh well those crazy people with their YouTube channels now we don't use we don't use Instagram none of us right Stacy yeah the Facebook but let's say if this were Twitter you delete all of your tweets for free flights what you do at window I don't like flying so no that is it that you don't like flying or that you love your tweets I don't like flying if I like flying I probably would delete Twitter I actually do delete old tweets from time what about a free gasoline for you what about free pizza if it was like if a - if for a two-year period they would upgrade you to like the top-of-the-line consumer platform for free I would do it so if we combat PC yeah yeah if it was like we'll give you like the W you know 3175 or like you know a dual processor epic system with like a half a terabyte of RAM and they did like they upgraded to whatever was the state of the art for like a two-year period I'd do it but what are you gonna do but you're gonna be making all those new builds and you're not gonna be able to tweet oh yeah it's like I could do with that cocaine you know that's - yeah meth is fine yeah oh well JetBlue is offering free flights for a year if you delete all your Instagram posts well it's a contest so if you win or since then you have to double your Instagram posts you know I think you have to do that preemptively yeah you delete all your Instagram post I guess on Instagram and you post one thing on Instagram which is they're like you fill in though this word all you can and it's the thing that you would do if you got those four flies for a year drink all you can loan we wasted at the airport bar so uh yeah until the end of March 8th which I guess is next year all right so you actually you should have already been cut started oh yeah your Instagram feed can only contain your custody see I didn't understand that yeah so I mean I can go do that now oh my god okay exactly oops uh yeah so I mean I do you think that sucks if you do that and then you don't win right do you think when you delete Instagram posts can a third party tell that you had any post before then like what would stop people I'm just registering it ah this is probably something like social blade that is indexing all that somewhere but if you just started a new one and you had like two instagrams you deleted those yeah it still I guess they choose the person is probably looking for an influencer so they can say oh JetBlue sponsored me to go to this cool amazing ice and here's all my food from here for sure alright that's gonna be a really pretty girl who wants to go to beach locations yeah yeah or you're up no no it's got to be a beach location because they need those bikini shots yeah Josie Aston can Europe because they always were like Oh eating a baguette in France there's no other way to live there's always something in like 20 hashtags they wouldn't be allowed on that one street yes we'll see well they would cuz then well after then I guess no there's a law but then they I was gonna say they couldn't histogram anyway but after that they could yeah miss information it's social media spreads it right it's predator kiss we don't know what the hell we're talking about but we don't spread it nearly as much as you know the Facebook people we're only spreading it because we ourselves have been confused by misinformation cuz we're all tired but what are you gonna do about it how do you stop it google has a solution whatsapp is exploring it Google to find misinformation so yeah this is like because the messages are encrypted right so there needs to be something in watts app that lets you like quote unquote do a fact check real quick to prevent things from going viral it's like you wouldn't believe what the Prime Minister is planning like think like Teresa may he's planning to outlaw cats it's like what I need to tell my friends about this that's actually happening in India like where technology is being adopted rapidly in places that don't have technology socially they're not hardened against clickbait and things that are worse than clickbait so building some protections for that kind of stuff into the end client is necessary for emerging markets for apps like what's happened so it's good wasn't it like oh this guy who moved to our town killed someone yeah and it was just probably my dad but like how would you fact check that well so they're looking for like yes copypasta type stuff yeah so if you're if it's a chain letter type thing and you're perpetuating that it can find that but the better the cooler thing about it it will look and see if the image you are receiving is unique or if it exists on the web already like tonight if it reverse image look just at the picture yeah it's like imagine a girl sent you a picture and it's like oh hey you know I was that I felt cute earlier today and what's that's gonna be like this is a model okay I've got some bad news for you though there's that AI that makes totally unique human faces the world has never seen before it's gonna defeat that III that's true you gotta click that refresh button to get one it looks really good though it doesn't have like any of the weird floating knuckles or hearing minister yeah now speaking of Twitter Wendell I once again I this meant nothing to me but how excited are you Twitter reveals big changes to conversations and new camera features these does not affect me because I do not yeah oh that's right yeah so this is it's just gonna make it more obvious when you are using live or location specific video and images yeah all Jax got to do to give me a stuff using Twitter is require me to use the app at which point I can that sort of makes sense I guess do a lot of people fake that they're at a location when there really not on Twitter yes really they really do and they also like a lot of a lot of the celebrities are like oh my gosh this new iPhone is amazing sent from Android oh yeah but they'll spoof GPS yes just to get around that although if you're live-streaming that'll be tougher to do well I apparently it's so if you're at look if you're covering the yellow vests then it can be like oh yeah this person really is in France they're actually doing the thing will not be a problem for celebrities that are doing a thing but there you go we talked last week about the anti-vaccine people and they are just getting frozen out of everywhere yeah there's nowhere that Amazon Facebook Twitter lists more Ryan the anti anti fungal are almost militant as well Netflix I think got rid of some of those things and here's the weird part about it when your message is somewhat contradictory Jack Dorsey's record records podcast with an anti vaccine fitness personality Ben Greenfield although I think this article is a little unfair because like Ben Greenfield was yes he's aunt Eve acts and aunt Eve acts is like kind of dumb like actually really dumb but that didn't talk about that on the podcast it's just that he's somebody affiliated with yeah but what you just said applies it's like the anti anti movement is so extreme yeah that they're become more extreme than what they're fighting it like this it's like anti fun yeah like they're more violent than the white nationalists at this point is it are we really to the point where yes the you know like this person is an anti-vaxxer there for everything that they have to say on any topic is worthless absolutely that's like the whole right it's okay to punch Nazis thing like literally violence is okay because of an ideology that's the kind of crazy world that we're entering into oh it's a slippery slope with no self-awareness yeah but that could then be turned against you on the next revolution when you veto the laws and you declare national emergencies this ex-president this kind of thing happens a lot in the Linux community as well it's funny that the auntie auntie waxers and a lot of the more toxic elements of the Linux community have so much in common personality trait wise once again a perfect analog just like the data reference the world is exactly like here's a thought do you think it could be that it's because the Linux community is made up of people well once again we we must talk about the horribleness of people in the new zealand tragedy yeah and really terrible people it's a terrible thing but you know I think it was the Obama's one of his teachers had the famous quote of never let a catastrophe so was it catastrophe go to waste who's there something like that yeah a little sleepy well I couldn't remember what the word was but anyway when something terrible happens legislate immediately it was his idea leverage the disaster now we are seeing that for sure yeah reddit has banned to slush or so I should watch people die in the way for the New Zealand Moss massacres so this is probably one Greg that's been one to get rid of for a while and this is just the excuse to do so I mean what was the name of the thing that the quarantine yeah I think they'd already quarantined it so that maybe you had to subscribe to see it I think I never got out of anyway not just that one this I don't know if this article mentions it but several PewDiePie subreddits that make sense to me well no do you know that the guy said yeah this whole thing was a troll though right but yeah the whole manifesto was a troll but a lot of people are not understanding that which I think was his vision he said really hurt anything about the shooter which is kind of a good thing he got everything he wanted out of this which is the disgusting part like a lot of these shooters are looking for attention and I think this guy was looking for attention and strolling hard and boy can he sit back in prison and look at how he affected the world that is yeah not a good tactic where'd a lot of other people probably want that same thing and now they see an avenue with which to take it now that we've covered the horribleness of the all the other social medias let's talk purely about Facebook well here's some good news though if you hate Facebook right Facebook struggles to deal with an epic outage it had an outage it wasn't the victim of an attack or anything it just was a server configuration problem an Instagram went down as well yeah kiss Facebook owns some control so it's degree yeah and people were very upset when I finally logged back in like the next day where's Facebook what was I supposed to do I can't browse the marketplace see it's addicted to Twitter as I am I don't think it would bother me if it was down for a half a day what if you need oh crap from the market I smell the no Twitter challenge I mean I like Twitter because I can get up-to-the-minute information on what's happening but have Twitter's down for everybody I don't care oh okay so you leaving Twitter is unacceptable but if there is no Twitter let's follow it okay okay that's a it's an interesting twist yeah that's kind of a dark view of the world it's kinda like you know not too many steps later so why don't we just destroy everything we just watch the world burn that is the natural conclusion how many people you think lost their job over this I was wondering like what's just one intern you think you just well they mentioned it was something was misconfigured that propagated through the entire ecosystem yeah I think that like usually this kind of thing is referred to as like a post mortem and so like the post mortem for this is gonna be like really really uncomfortable for some people they're just gonna be like oh what do you know what do we learn from this huh and then it's gonna be like one of those pleasant things but it'll be like that scene in the movie where like the Nazis come to the cottage and like everybody's hiding in the rafter and the Nazis like drinking the milk and they're all like laughing and happy and they shoot somebody it's gonna be like was luck we're gonna call that guy into his office yeah he's gonna be eating undercooked go his hands and yeah and then that guy's gonna step onto the square where the chute releases down into it gonna hit the button that was the Jack Dorsey reference that was very good when you reinvest something up like that anyway like your stomach just drops but in this case his whole body is just gonna drop through the chute yeah yeah I mean it's gonna be like laughing about it and the guy's gonna start to feel better that's the really insidious thing it's like I'll thank God my family's gonna be so upset and then he's just gonna be gone like he's just gonna disappear and he's not gonna be the scene that you're referencing from inglourious basterds you knew all along yeah yeah there was nothing good coming out of that guy's a hell of an actor uh well revenge porn that's a big problem right I guess so when you seems like nobody can learn that recording porn is a bad idea I mean you think about Jeff Bezos Jeff Bezos did you read this text I did not did you but he had images to write yeah 14-year old poet so when you're worth hundreds of billions of dollars and you know exactly how dark the tech world is and you still are sending nudes who is there any hope for anybody reuters has their next article Facebook ready say I thank the combat revenge porn I wonder what sort of dataset they trained it on but how do you know revenge porn from just regular porn you just scoop it all up and sort it out later I guess porn is not allowed on all right good luck good luck stamping out porn I think I felt like you might for a minute air you might be foreshadowing a later story from the nonsense section about recording things so Facebook despite all of its failures it is terrifyingly a place where a lot of people are consuming their news and making and there money hand-over-fist and so you know who's losing from this other news organizations like vice and they don't like it motherboard huh that's weird has this article consumer groups want to tax Facebook to save journalism a proposal would tax targeted ads and a bid to bring some money back to those that actually make the news all that headlines a little salty terrible idea now Facebook distributing the news that's bad but the this idea of how to deal with it is to tax it as some ludicrous rate put all that money into a government slush fund which the government decides who to dole it out to that doesn't seem like that would be abuse at all do you think that it could go wrong well what if there was a website like vice for example do you think they would be critical of the government no who's handing out the Facebook money no no not at all what could go wrong I think you were trying to be sarcastic there but you absolutely agree oh yes Italy in fact would not and I don't think anybody would because that's sweet money but no one's using your ad dolls yeah that's your paycheck so terrible idea but I think the social media news thing tax is definitely gonna be something that we see we hear a lot about what's a dupe do know who's made a mistake don't look skip you never saw that well it's good they're all Facebook stores right so I mean that's it's all the same anyway and this one is more bad news for the Zuckerberg Facebook is under criminal investigation over data sharing deal says the New York Times report now we reported on this last week but there's a lot of new information in this CNN business article about the criminal investigation so turns out that Facebook may not have been complying even with its own like user policy in terms of how it was sharing data with his partners and they're investigating so who would have guessed now criminal investigation so like who do you think goes down if there's a sentence there no not Zuckerberg he didn't know yeah he will it's gonna be Sandburg or one of the other people that were fired well remember cameras analytical that was the big stories I Oh what no one no we had no idea what was going on here so how if you're part of the if you're like number seven in line at face book out terrifies do that pretty thing if the AG's coming knocking it's like sure what do you want to know here's my laptop my company laptop you sitting there - - thinking it man I'm way under qualified for this why am I even here I'm just gonna go in the bathroom and start crying speaking of Facebook scapegoats let's talk about the and Facebook blaming others on what they did Facebook Sue's over data grabbing quizzes nevermind the Facebook controls the API that the quiz is used but it's like you know who is your first last and the only love start test and then it's you just you literally it's like oh this is entertaining no be hungry that was harvesting you you're being harvested buff everyone was like find out what your eye color says about your love life it's like quiz Allah but the quizzes aren't even good anymore yeah so it turns out that they were harvesting a lot more than your answers even and Facebook is angry about that Facebook it's like man we created this API that does this in the first place and we've got logs so good we can go back years and figure out how you scraped the API profile thing so we can sue these terrible terrible we didn't think anybody would use it this way I mean yeah we set up all this dinah by somebody had the balls to come and push down the plunger what's going on what kind of country do we live in here danger do not press Blitzer now so now let's move on to nonsense and this story I feel like might have been a duplicate but it shows my ignorance of the Indian geography all right so let's look at this one first they didn't see us coming ten rested in Gua for playing pub G you think that's pronounced kawar odd maybe not Gujarat Gujarat somebody in the comments will tear your rot well Gua rot or Gujarat or whatever it is they banned pub G and specifically pub G which is interesting apparently fortnight still legal okay well pub she's too realistic I'm about to realistic I mean you're gonna clip through that door so anyway they said absolutely no pub G at all no more and the cops actually went around and found guys playing it and like tea shops that are sort of like you know cyber cafes and on their phones just sitting outside and dining areas or whatever grab round them up pull them right off the street take them in charge them now here's here's where the the geography thing becomes a problem wait that's right rake hot band breakout read Scott but that's different than Gujarat there was just ten different people or is this just like the same thing I don't know the story is almost identical yeah so maybe so somewhere between ten and twenty people were arrested in India for playing could this be fake news to scare everybody into not playing pub G perhaps you know what who's playing pubs in Chinese boxes it could be fortnight wouldn't you want to do that with apex legends like ten arrested for playing a pigeon well apex legend this is might be too successful you probably want to start with anthem anthem is you know and then oh yeah okay but I think the Asian market is way more into the mobile version yeah an apex doesn't have that yeah well everybody's seen this picture right yes this is the distracted boyfriend couple and star in the hungry profile what was the country band this ad we covered that well this type of ad this entire class of AD was banned I think it was this one as a band yeah yeah well that's not the story though yes different i've always find it striking and how similar these two girls look yeah anyway these guys just like Harold you know Harold on average you're like yeah these guys have a giant library of stock photography they have one for nearly every topic that you could ever want and somebody in Hungary I guess didn't realize how famous these guys or maybe it was a deliberate meme so they are encouraging Hungarians to have children now this is a little darker than you might imagine because this is a government party who's a little anti-immigration so they're actually like let's keep Hungary pure by having pure white children oh yeah well when you put it that way though oh my challenge if you live in Hungary is that accurate we don't but hungry is there suffering the demographic problem you know they don't have the replacement rate that's going on and they're actually giving you a tax break this listen to this is so much of a nightmare for me this sounds like a living hell single mothers who can get up to four children start to get tax breaks start getting money back Wow so they're actually a disaster actually yeah you really think that immigrants are gonna be worse than fatherless for children that's gonna be real bad nothing against fatherless poor children no New York tried that in like the eighties in seventies it did not work out yeah that's that's gonna be bad why the good news is I got a cool billboard and those the distracted boyfriend people got a couple of bucks off that Center stock sale so hey why not now here's a story that shows the vast cultural ocean between the u.s. and Japan right because literally every huius right off the bat that all of our celebrities are on cocaine olive I was thinking actually when I read this that the marketing team for like Sega America would be celebrating this and this kind of like a gangster game yeah so Japan Sega game sales halted after cocaine arrest so this actor was caught with cocaine no no no he only tested positive for cocaine they didn't catch him having it okay in the past it was said that they they detected trace amounts were small no they suspected him and tested him so it was an assistant but there was no possession yeah so they've had been halted sales of the game and you voluntarily right because they their drug laws over there are crazy and it turns out even for rich people there was yeah exactly there was a similar situation there was another game or maybe was a movie or something and they suspected just suspected this one guy being on cocaine and he quit the business forever and they cancelled it yeah different culture whereas here in America be like great press no such things bad problem make it happen send him to rehab no more drugs oh yeah they can make a big thing about rehab so like how jaded and callous is this it's like will send the Acura to rehab and it'll be like this success story and so this is like oh yes my acting is where I found solace and whatever like that's how it would happened in America oh yeah and plus because it's a movie about a game about crime you could just plays into it yeah it's like y'all it's real this is regret II and real have I never heard of rap music cuz that's the thing so I'm sure Japanese rap music is the thing where the thing with the story from a couple years ago about the guy stealing credit cards I was feels like there was a time before head kid so it feels like a lifetime ago you personally gave birth to sleep if you've ever read about quantum anything you know quantum mechanics physics when things get really small they just get crazy it is not like anything that you stained and you're never gonna understand it even the people who study it they have no clue and this story really illustrates that a quantum experiment suggests there's no such thing as objective reality this is my favorite story ever this week because I learned about this in school and it was like wow so yeah they've got a little uh-oh then you're reading oh you got to use the outline conversion oh I was able it's worth doing because I was able to read this and they have a nice little I hope the the illustration comes through well the uh so this is this is this has been postulated forever and like pretty much every physics undergrad will learn will learn about this situation but they actually were able to devise an experiment to test it and it turned like the experiment confirms that it is actually like mind-bendingly crazy so this is like the old particle wave type deal and you know two observers can actually see a different reality that's like is the observer creating their own reality are they affecting what's happening and this experiment actually confirms pretty well that yes they can observe two different reality each observer is experiencing reality differently there's not one objective reality isn't that insane but it's it's one of those things about physics where you're just like Oh what does it all mean to you effectively nothing well once you say that math is invented or discovered I would say that you it would have to be discovered I would normally a lean toward math has discovered this experiment suggests that math has invented but you cannot escape these laws see what's gonna happen is people are gonna read that headline who know nothing about physics they're gonna be like the secret was real I just I'm gonna imagine riches into my life and everything I've ever dreamed of that's not gonna work there's a few these experiments that do sort of woo undergrads into studying something like physics but most of its pretty mundane but um it it really is like so you do the experiment and it's like you've got the result you keep the result to yourself and then I do the experiment and I get a different result or whatever there is this there's a point at which if we do things a little differently our two realities will collapse into the same reality and in this in this version it's like no not so much so it suggests that you know time is maybe more interesting or maybe some physicist somewhere it's gonna tack on a reference frame because like Einstein had the whole the speed of light is the same in all reference frames so time has to you know there's something going on but not with with time and photons with information just you knowing is what changes it but here's the thing imagine that it's the the model of infinite universes right and just by merit of you being one of the other knowing or not knowing you spin off into a new reality every moment but you're still the person who has to deal with the consequences in that reality yeah not the guy from before so no little trade places with that guy yeah I'm sorry it's not half effectively nothing has changed you there are still consequences so I what are you gonna do is enter permission and excuse me back to India this once again cultural ignorance I'm gonna have to plead cultural ignorance here I had a hard time understanding what was going on in this commercial did you watch it yes I guess like the girl was Hindu and the boy was Muslim is that what was happening there I guess they were playing together on a bicycle no well so they have a festival where they throw color like colored water balloons and spray colored water or whatever so the kid is going to some sort of religious thing where he needs a clean white outfit so the little girl absorbs all of the colour attacks but to protect his clean white outfit right but then that upset people and I don't and in the name of the laundry detergent was surf Excel yeah I saw the the headline so boycott surf Excel because that was enough apparently an outrageous commercial I don't know why but yeah people weren't it people so yeah Microsoft Excel is is this the Indian version of like the 1930s blackface Disney commercials always thinking wonder one was upset about where it was like the Gillette be a better man thing but I don't know who this is insensitive toward is it the girl who it's being insensitive to or is it the boy someone tell us yeah yeah you're just gonna have to give us some some direction here but it seems like it's heartwarming from this side of the world maybe you're not allowed to absorb the colors from somebody else's clothes on the Sabbath I think Allah did decree that with the absorption of color should the holy happen throughout the work week careful sex anyway Microsoft Excel is getting downloaded some bad reviews because that's called surf Excel I wonder if a Google search with this this Excel review is like what it like somebody reads this and it's like I don't understand watch this I think you on a 30-minute quest to understand that well I think some things are hard to translate I think yeah I think the nuances of this are probably wrapped up in like what that festival is and who it affects and like history of how its celebrated yeah so who knows I don't know it's not me and you a lot of people when we say stuff like that they say you see you ignorant stupid Americans why don't you just google it cuz I don't care yeah that's he comes back to the Hat I'm busy I got kittens I was trying to I was holding the surface to Havel trying to read this and I would just kept walking in front of it and pointing their ass directly into my face that's their favorite thing is showing me their ass some people's favorite thing is taking selfies and everybody knows the more risky the selfie is the better it is but you can go too far one attack by a Jaguar while taking a photo apologize to the Arizona this is good though because most people like okay so she wandered into the enclosure behind the behind the fence I guess there's like two layers of fence she was hanging yeah she leaned in and she was like yeah so the Jaguar attacked her arm and the 9-1-1 call I didn't listen to it but the quote was you know the zoo workers like she's she's not in any danger of dying but her arm is messed up good if I mean so the somebody actually sprang into country somebody took a water bottle and like put it through the bars and rattled it and that's the only reason the cat got distracted and now here's the beautiful part about this and there's so many Harambee memes this week because of that yeah they are not going to kill the cat yeah it was the person's fault and but at least there's enough like like I don't know introspection from this individual that it's like yeah I shouldn't have done that I don't know what I was thinking can you imagine the level of hate that she's received this week because of their Harambee thing yeah it's like how stupid you r is yeah yeah this cat's life is at risk cuz you're an idiot and if you were taking a selfie yeah she is even with the apology she's gonna get a lot of hate but can you imagine if she actually acted like she was the victim Oh that'll be even worse yeah now we three of us I think it's safe to say completely out of touch with modern teens oh look who's trying to hold on to her youth I'm saying well I actually hang out with teens from time to time my younger cousins they tell me what's hip I'm not saying I'm hit but they tell me what's it well did you know about this one they all text or they use a Instagram the hottest chat app for teens is Google Docs they're working it makes a lot of sense ask the kids what's a Google Doc they PI wouldn't really tell me well no these I'm in school you can do collaborative editing so this is this is a great low-key way to you know not paying any attention to anything but it looks like you're working on something so you pull up your document and that's on the left but then you have a tab on the right that is you know annotations so they just change their font to be something unique and you've got a group chat and the annotations and as soon as you click one button to resolve the annotations it's gone forever so while you're hanging out in class you just said much would make the mistake of thinking that the school that my cousin go to has enough computers for everybody the no computers are not allowed at school then these tweets work this this tweet was my favorite one Christa kid can you see that at all I see emojis if that's your man why is he in my Google Docs chat bar if you don't flirt with your girl over the chat feature on Google Docs for her paper you're editing together somebody will not even slide into Blake comanche Google Doc yeah so that's a that's a whole world that old folks aren't even hip to who knew like there's better more efficient ways but and speaking of old folks scientists have reawaken cells from a twenty-eight thousand year old mammoths Yuka the woolly mammoth died a long time ago was scientists ever egg your gamer cells a short time to be operational yet I didn't I didn't divide though Yuka's looking pretty good did she was trapped in permafrost and she's really well preserved but the problem is that like even super well preserved DNA is gonna degrade over time so even though the machinery of the cell fired up again the DNA wasn't operational enough for the cell to actually divide could not reproduce unfortunate are you telling me that Michael Crichton's Jurassic Park is not feasible it's so like we can yeah pretty much yeah because it's like you know imagine a manuscript that you know after 500 years you divided in half and then after another 500 years you divide it in half again let me out pedantic you that's actually the premise of the book because problems with the dinosaurs would be more frog than like the by the time you get indeed dinosaur DNA that's so old it's like two sequences long but imagine how cool those mammoths would be after we filled a man with like horses geneticists in the book he's like we're not really even making dinosaurs were just making monsters mmm sweet but I look a lot like except now we know the dinosaurs were fluffy well let's say you push your mic away from yourself right I think it's fine nobody case the division two is out and who cares you know what so you're gonna go by the division two right and you say to yourself man I pay a lot for data I have data caps so let me go get the physical disk I'll save myself some download oh there's a problem division Tuesday one patches 90 gigabytes for the physical addition on owners and ps4 and about 50 gigabytes for the Xbox one now here's the crazy part total install after a 90 gigabyte update 90 gigabytes so basically that disk doesn't have anything useful on it yeah it's that makes sense it's just a disk that's just and disk game players on ps4 I don't think can preload before the law states no they can't I can't actually get it and prove that they have it until they have the disk a lot of America has a 500 gigabyte a month cap so you've burned 20% of beta cap in one day one sitting one download and that's not gonna be the only update no you're gonna get more and then you're gonna have data while you're playing it cuz it's online hmm I can hardly believe our next story but it makes sense Venezuela is having a bad time 30 economy's got some problems oh well in their power grid yep so the power went out and it went out for a long time and it's really a terrifying vision into what happens when the power goes out in modern society but one thing that probably nobody expected was this consequence this power outage in Venezuela has caused an economic crisis in runescape the game let's be really let's make sure that we cover the important stuff about Venezuela the countrywide blackout has caused the value of RuneScape's dragon bones to drop Oh dragon bones we jump sometimes it's like oh the Venezuelan currency is so the bolivars I ride the bulbar is so worthless that it would make more sense for you to farm gold in WoW well we're close get in there you get a farm dragon bones in runescape I mean I could give ourselves a pass for that yeah literally it's the the gold and runescape is worth more and they were using the gold to buy the dragon bones so that's the that's why the value drops because otherwise you'd expect the value to go up because of scarcity but no no one's buying your dragon bones that you're farming because the gold farmers are not farming gold and you got to think that when they if they get their power back and they get back here then it's gonna be even more valuable there's gonna be even more Venezuelan runescape farmers because they're gonna be even less ability to make money it's really available to discuss this cuz they've all been bought out by Amazon I wonder if we'll see a future where it's like the people in Venezuela that have like the small solar cell and the low-power laptop are able to continue whatever and those people you know Myka meant because they've got the solar cell but the service providers surely yeah the service providers probably aren't online also unrelated to this did you see they put DirectX 12 on Windows 7 yeah just for wool Warcraft yeah Wow I guess there's enough of a market for this look at these these people who are hardcore world of warcraft gamers who just refuse to upgrade I was like I gave them what they wanted I wonder Blizzard subsidize the cost for that like the CEO of Blizzard was meaningless Satya Nadella and he was just like no we're not doing that and it's a how much would it take we have this number of subscribers that are never going away if we can keep them happy and we this is our number will you take that number so then just you know Delos slides over a piece of paper you have a small video Blizzard picks it up and it's like oh good that's roughly one month of our subscription and novellas look it's more than I'm making huge but it's like you they go with the Warcraft thing so it's actually parchment this had to save this story for last because remember what we were taught oh you didn't see this oh it's that we were talking earlier about don't upload stuff to the internet especially here's the thing about this before we saw the headline there would be nothing identifiable from this video like the most unsexy perspective yeah the the perspective of sex you do not want to watch sex from the flight deck that's opposed be like what's in a NASCAR race on the track lag on the track no no it's just we strapped to a tire and you just watch the camera I'm gonna let you record your achievements I think let's go down for the picture of it do you think the algorithm will accept penile as very a replacement so yeah this is it is it in that orientation or is it rotate 180 degrees I guess you could go either way right I mean so yeah this thing is just gonna be you know like a loop of video that's just back in the hole I think it's gonna be your phone so it's just it's the videos being sent to your phone it doesn't have onboard story what could possibly go wrong and it only shoots 1080p no no 4k and it's $160 but here's the thing you're you and your partner can both install the app and you can immediately send the video to your partner's phone as well who is this for what if they work it for this can we also accidentally broadcast it to the Google chromecast that's what's up to the living room TV I'm sure you could that now okay so they did a coop like it not a commercial but like a promotional video a guy strapped on a fake penis put this thing on it and went skydiving and the video like I didn't see it's it's a guy skydiving with just a big fake penis it's worth a watch like these guys got a lot of money from like a venture capitalists like this is gonna be amazing all right yeah they couldn't come up with anything and they literally came up with this in an afternoon when the venture capitalist was like flying in from from his you know his money vault somewhere do likes I want to see the progress and the things like okay here's the concept for the product we have it's great and I just I just never back down yeah but hopefully this is not the future of pornography because I think this takes a lot of the art out of it this is just I don't know I don't know what to call this abomination imagine starting at the beginning of the alphabet imagine a young krysta you know you see meets a young man she's like you know what I trust him whoops this ha ha ha we're gonna make some parent with the device here's the here's the real brilliant this is actually like a way for creepers to identify themselves it's like what is that's what I always say about you know like we have to ban the n-word now that's a super useful word because people will self-identify that's it we didn't we we barely missed 50 minutes for this one everybody this has been a record length week this is so this is gonna be the control to the short week are people gonna complain YouTube does not promote videos more than 15 minutes but like I'm just talking with the comments are we're now gonna have a backlash people it's like it's too long we put a lot of work into the jokes this week come on and if you commute is only 45 minutes you're gonna miss that whole thing right there can you imagine you're standing around the water cooler and you're talking to your Bros and you're like oh my god did you watch the level 1 news and they're all cracking up you don't know why yeah I wonder if you could convince the Olympic Judge committee people that the javelin throwers like put one of those on a javelin you can strap a camera to a javelin right there's nothing is stopping you from doing that was ready nice 160 yeah and that put us over 50 minutes all right\n"
