The Adventure Begins: A Journey to Remove the Rear Spoiler
We're finally going to embark on this exciting project, and it's going to be an adventure. Removing the rear spoiler is not an easy task, but we're ready for it. As we begin, I have to say that I'm a bit nervous about how long this process will take. We've got our game face on, and we're ready to tackle whatever challenges come our way.
We've arrived at Home Depot, the mecca of all things automotive, and we're on a mission to pick up some supplies. First on the list is the Lamborghini emblem, which we'll need to attach to our car. We also require some double-sided tape, Jacks, and jack stands to remove the front bumper. As we navigate the aisles, I take a moment to examine our logo. Is it perfect? Hmm, let's see what our friends think.
We have a few options for the double-sided tape, but we soon discover that one of them won't fit under the car. We opt for the more expensive option, which will be a bit more reliable in the long run. Next, we visit aisle 7 to find the Jacks, and after some searching, we finally find what we need. With our supplies in hand, we're ready to begin.
Jacking Up the Car: A Matter of Precision
We've positioned the Jacks on both sides of the car, and it's time to jack up the vehicle. This is a crucial step, as we'll need to remove the wheels to access the wheel wells. As we simultaneously jack up the car, I take a moment to appreciate how cool this view looks from underneath. Our car is now officially off-road mode, with the wheels removed and the engine exposed.
We're using some top-notch equipment, including a steel floor jack and a golf bar from Jeff. The purple color of our car is looking particularly vibrant in the light, and I'm loving the contrast it provides against the dark metal beneath. Our project has already taken on a life of its own, with each new development adding to the excitement.
A Night of Tinkering: Progress, but Not Everything
Despite our best efforts, we've made little progress tonight. We've managed to wrap the side skirt in purple, which is turning out beautifully – especially that tiny sliver of color. However, I began tearing out the wheel well to remove the front bumper, and we'll have to save that for tomorrow. As the day comes to a close, I'm exhausted, knowing that tomorrow will bring more hours of tinkering.
The Vlog Continues: Behind-the-Scenes Glimpses
As we take a break from our project, we catch up on each other's social media accounts. Clayton's new company, Summit Autolab, is taking shape, and I'm excited to see what the future holds for this venture. On my own Instagram account, I'll be sharing plenty of photos of our progress – including the stunning purple Lamborghini.
The Color: A Dream Come True
When it comes to choosing a color for our Lamborghini, we knew exactly what we wanted: purple. And now that we have it, I'm thrilled with how it looks in satin Chrome purple from Vivid Vinyls. The blue was an option too, but let's be honest – this is a Lamborghini. We're living the dream.
One Final Walkaround and Some Decisions to Make
As the night draws to a close, we take one last walk around our car, admiring its progress. The gas cap is looking particularly sleek in purple, and I'm loving how the color changes depending on the light. As for our Vlog strategy, we're still debating whether to post daily updates or wait until we're finished.
A Quick Visit from the NSX and R8: The Perfect Compare-Contrast Video
In a surprising twist, we've acquired not one but two cars – the 2017 Acura NSX and the new Audi R8 V10. This is the perfect opportunity to create a compare-contrast video that showcases these incredible machines. From my rusty skis to yours, it's clear that our snowboard is rather lackluster.
And so, our adventure continues, with many more hours of tinkering ahead of us. We're excited to see what the future holds for this project and can't wait to share every step of the way – including plenty of behind-the-scenes glimpses into the world of Summit Autolab.
