display uh that means it has around 1.6 in of screen size resolution is 320x 320 it also has a 2 map camera it works over Bluetooth it has gyroscope accelerometer heart rate monitor and also IR Blaster so that you can control devices like televisions Etc uh It also says that it is IP67 certified that means it's dust and water resistant has a microphone and a speaker and it uh works over the tyen OS and the model name is SMR 380 break the seeds and let's talk talk about the pricing the price Cod on the box is 22550 uh but uh it's available on the Samsung e store for around 21,500 so let me break this seal also and we have the brown color we also have the black and one more color I'll have the link uh in the YouTube show notes and as you can see we have the watch itself we also have the Samsung Gear 2 Neo which is a little bit more affordable version this has a lot more metal on it we'll come back to this a bit later and let's see what else do we get in the box and as you can see this opens and we have the charger this is again the dock uh this will attach to our watch to charge it I'll show you that a bit later and uh let me take out the charger and this is a standard charger that we get has a micro USB cable and apart from that nothing else we do have a bunch of manuals that is the warranty card and this is the uh quick start guide again these uh gear devices work uh currently only officially uh with Samsung based uh Android devices as you can see it gives you an overview how to connect it and how to charge the device so let me keep all these things back and let's look at the watch itself and as you can see this is the watch uh again initial uh impression that looks the build quality looks solid let's take out this plastic uh the strap is changeable in this one and this is the watch itself and let me just open this up again this also looks like metal the bud quality looks very good as you can see you can adjust this to your wrist liking you can move this around and this is how the watch actually looks uh let me give you an idea we have some more plastic let me get rid of that and underneath also uh like the Gear Fit we have a heart rate sensor here and this is the charging dot uh so it looks it feels a little bit heavier than the fit the fit do very light I would say and before we proceed let me give you an overview we also have a camera here this is a 2 megapix camera and also a IR Blaster using which you can control devices like television Etc and this uh gear uh Gear 2 is powered by 1 GHz dual core exos processor and uh regarding the camera it can shoot video up to 720P HD uh regarding Ram it has 52 MB of RAM and internal storage is 4GB we can store in fact some music Etc and play it back so let's power on this device and let's see if it has any power yes it says Samsung Gear 2 and uh I think so we need to sync it up with our device I have the Galaxy S5 but it also works with the Samsung Galaxy S3 all variants of the Galaxy S4 and also the note series uh so we also need to download this uh Gear Manager on your Samsung device you can download this from the Samsung store the Gear Manager I just did that so let me just uh uh go and we will install this one now and hit the manager now and as you can see it immediately actually showed us the device and it actually shows you how to do it they have a small video but we'll just connect it anyways and it's connected it says it found RS5 and we'll press okay on both the devices and it's installing some additional software and it's downloading and I think so if there is any new firmware also at this moment it'll install it on the watch watch so this can take about 4 or 5 minutes and I'll be back when it's done and now it's uh connecting to our gear uh and the last procedure took about 2 to 3 minutes and it should connect automatically within a couple of seconds now so this is the home button come the come the power button and we have to to this terms and conditions and as you can see it is connected it gave me haptic feedback and it connect to Bluetooth we can uh I'll enable Smart relay preview messages and here we can uh check mark what app should notify us on this uh watch and we have a lot of options for example as you can see uh Gmail yes I want my mails to be notified and you can see see all the apps are there Hangouts Twitter so all the apps that you are installed mostly you can get notifications from them let's move out of this and let's look at the watch itself and uh as you can see we can scroll around left to right uh these are the apps let's go one by one and we have the camera over here this is the pedometer and as you can see I've started it now if I walk it will track how many steps I have taken uh let's just go back and let pause if you just go from the top to down it goes back that acts like a back button this is obviously uh the settings here you can adjust the clock watches for example how how you want to look the traditional ones so these are the ones you can download a lot more from the uh Gear Manager Let's uh keep this one and let me just head home again your back back and if you go here uh we can see our notification logs we also can actually dial from this and take calls if you want I'll go about that in my in-depth review but let's just go back we can access our contacts also and we are back to apps these are the controls for example for volume we can adjust brightness we can adjust basic settings uh we also have S Voice and watch on remote watch oners for uh the IR Blaster using which you can control devices like televisions Etc we also have the voice memo music player is also there we have the voice menu we also have the heart rate monitor sleep uh exercise and pedometers so also all the fitness aspects that we found on the Gear Fit are available on this uh Gear 2 also so let me just wear it on my wrist and show you the same how it looks so definitely it is a little bit bigger I'll be
