Bob the mini dishwasher stole my heart (and washed the dishes after)

**The Bob Vessel: A Smart Dishwasher Review**

I recently had the chance to review the Bob Vessel, a smart dishwasher that's making waves in the kitchen appliance world. I must say, I was impressed by its features and performance.

First impressions of the Bob Vessel are that it comes out looking quite...well, like what you'd expect from a dishwasher, which is pretty impressive. No racks or anything in there except for this one big saucepan. So, let's see what fits well. There's one big saucepan, and I guess if I put the plate rack in behind there, I could probably fit a couple of plates. Let's try it.

[The camera struggles to show the contents of the dishwasher as the reviewer attempts to load dishes.]

Ah, yeah! Okay, so that's pretty good. I've got a bit of room there, too, for smaller things not bad. Now, for the real test: baked on days old. This is gross. Okay, Bob, don't let me down. Let's see position that. Let's try one more. I've got one dirty bowl here too. All right, it's a very, very small load but let's try this.

[The reviewer attempts to wash the dishes using the Bob Vessel.]

I think it's still going to use like the same amount of water, 3.8 liters, 70 degrees, and I'll see you in an hour and a half. All right, and it's done! Also love how it pops open the door when the cycle is finished just to give it a little bit of extra air dry.

[The reviewer waits for the dishwasher to cool down before checking its performance.]

A few moments later, moment of truth okay let's see what looks good from the top. Well, our bowl is nice and clean, and how did this one do? Ready oh no way that's really clean there's like zero residue whatsoever! Ah, Bob color me impressed!

[The reviewer discusses some caveats about using the Bob Vessel.]

Okay, don't be fooled Bob does not have the same capacity as a full dishwasher but it's definitely enough for a meal for two people and all of the plates, dishes, and cutlery that you would use for that. You can also fit around 16 glasses in there too if you take all of the other elements out and just want to wash those.

[The reviewer highlights some key features of the Bob Vessel.]

There are a couple of caveats though like a normal dishwasher you really should scrape off all of those food scraps before putting anything inside it, and also point all of your pointy, sticky cutlery down not up. Bob comes with everything you're going to need, and when I opened it up for the first time, and I took everything out, I was really kind of shocked about how much stuff was in there.

[The reviewer notes some convenient features.]

It's everything you're going to need there is a water inlet hose if you would rather use that from say a faucet instead of the built-in water tank. There is also a drainage pipe, and there are all of the cutlery racks, plate racks, cup racks that you're going to need.

[The reviewer mentions some additional features.]

And there's also these things called cartridges, which is essentially your dishwashing liquid inside those. Good news is you can also use your own dishwashing liquid if you want. They just recommend that you leave one of those cartridges in the dishwasher even if it's empty, just to protect all of the bits and pieces.

[The reviewer talks about some user-friendly features.]

I also enjoyed how Bob gave me the chance to practice my school girl French now don't worry there is also a booklet in English as well but even if there wasn't it's actually really easy just to plug and play, follow the instructions on the screen, and everything is pretty self-explanatory.

[The reviewer discusses pricing and availability.]

What's the damage Bob? Well, the basic model will be $299 US dollars. It comes with a matte finish, and all of the tools that you'll need. The more deluxe version, aka the one that I have here, costs $399 US dollars, and comes with a couple of extra features, including a color display as well as built-in Wi-Fi.

[The reviewer mentions some additional details.]

You can personalize your Bob with a number of different color finishes when you place your order. It's also got a color display as well as built-in Wi-Fi, because why wouldn't you want your dishwasher to connect to the internet? I guess updates are pretty nice, huh? And it also comes with a sterilizer using UV light. Tweets, you can put your phone in the dishwasher which kind of feels weird, doesn't use any water though or pretty much anything else.

[The reviewer concludes their review.]

You'll be able to put your pre-orders in now if you're interested and get delivery in June 2023. That's all for my review of the Bob Vessel.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enthis is bob bob's a dishwasher bob also likes talking about himself in the third person but over the past few days bob has really won me over loving you is easy you're amazing feel like i could laugh or i could cry by now you've probably guessed that bob's got a bit of a personality if he wasn't a dating show i would tell you that bob is the world's smallest dishwasher he weighs around 10 kilos or 22 pounds has a built-in water tank so he loves to travel and he speaks french he's also environmentally conscious as he's made of recycled plastics and only takes three to four liters of water to wash with each cycle now bob has been around the block a little bit we've seen him once before at ces but he wasn't working and he's been available in some other countries since then but he's now finally coming to the united states as you can tell i'm lucky enough to live in a place with a full-size dishwasher but there was a time when i was in an apartment without a dishwasher and let me tell you the fights that i would get into over the dirty dishes so bob is really perfect for places say where you might be renting you can't demolish your whole kitchen to put a dishwasher in maybe you're traveling and you're in something like an rv bob could be the right fit but you'll have to find the right place to put him i was hoping i was going to be able to fit him somewhere on my countertop underneath my cupboards turns out wasn't quite enough clearance and i actually ended up having to put him right next to the sink which kind of worked out really well because that's exactly where i was going to drain him if you're looking for a spot to put him you'll need around 20 inches of clearance and i guess you could in theory put him under the sink you could also put it on the floor anywhere you can find some space and it should still drain fine you could either drain it into the sink into your waste water area or even potentially into a bucket okay but more importantly does bob actually clean well after a few cycles i can safely say he really does even on the quickest 20-minute cycle which is what i did most of my dishes in i was really really impressed wow bob i am impressed mate well done so you can actually fit quite a bit in bob i like that capacitive touch open but sometimes it really does feel like i'm playing a bit of plate tetris so you can see i've got four dinner plates in there i've got two smaller bowls i've got two mugs and a little bit of cutlery so all of these elements let me take this out and show you see all of these so like those plate racks that's all removable the cutlery drawer is all removable as well and you can reposition all of these elements too so this is the cup rack and that just comes out like so you can move that all the way around in any configuration you like which is pretty impressive all right so this is what it looks like when there are no racks or anything in there just the drawer let's see what will fit well there's one big saucepan i guess one saucepan will fit and then maybe i guess if i put the plate rack in behind there i could probably fit a couple plates let's try it all right saucepan try and get those handles in like that we all in yep let's try the plates down sorry for the shaky camera work all right oh yeah okay that's pretty good let's see oh not bad i've got a bit of room there look i can do at least two more plates very impressive but then you know i guess maybe there's a bit of space around here i could use too for smaller things not bad but now for the real good luck fill the water tank i also just can't be bothered hooking it up to my faucet but it's so easy to do this all right let's give bob a fighting chance intensive i think it's still going to use
