You Wish Your iPhone Could Do This.. My iOS 14 Wishlist

The Forest and Phone Habits

Using software to turn off your screen without needing to press the power button every single time can help you stay out of trouble. With iOS 14, this is now possible through various means such as swiping or using floating dock plus 13. A double tap on the dock allows for easy access to turning the screen off, which is more intuitive than needing to press a button every time. This feature also enables the user to turn their iPhone on with a tap, similar to how you would turn it off.

The Battery Indicator and Status Bar

The battery indicator and status bar on the top right are now customizable. Apple has decided not to place the battery percentage in the top right corner as they have done in previous versions of iOS. However, this feature is still present and can be adjusted to suit individual preferences. The user can also use the new force-in-picture feature, which was originally ported from the iPad, allowing for a picture-in-picture video player on the home screen. This feature works surprisingly well due to its porting directly from the iPad.

Ported Features from iOS

iOS 14 includes several features that have been ported from previous versions of iOS or other Apple devices. The force-in-picture feature is one such example, which allows for a seamless picture-in-picture video player experience on the home screen. Another feature, bar moji, fills up the dead space at the bottom of the keyboard with most recently used emojis, allowing users to save time and add a touch of elegance to their keyboard.

Camera App Enhancements

The camera app has also been enhanced in iOS 14, thanks to the "New Cam" tweak. This tweak ports the full application from the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro to older iPhones, giving them access to features like the ability to change the resolution of videos or photos from within the app. This tweak is particularly useful for those who want to use their older iPhones without the need for an additional lens download.

Control Center Enhancements

The control center in iOS 14 has also seen several enhancements. One such feature is "See Emanuel's", which allows users to customize the control center modules, add new ones, and create presets. This feature is available within the stock settings and includes options like shortcuts to apps and other tools. The user can now see a variety of icons for each application they own, along with additional tools.

Enhancements for iPhone Users

iOS 14 also includes several features that are specifically designed for iPhone users. One such feature is "Bar XS or Call Assist", which allows users to continue using their iPhone even when receiving a phone call. This feature uses Siri and other assistants in the background to minimize distractions. Another feature, called "Siri Small", provides a smaller interface for the assistant, allowing users to ask questions while still being able to use their phone.

Smart App Switching

The app switcher has also been enhanced in iOS 14 with the introduction of the "Silica Pro" tweak. This tweak allows users to change the single press force touch functionality on the iPhone, adding options like a quad ripple press that can be customized. The user can also now pass out changes to notification badge icons, making them match the color of the app they belong to.

Quick Copy and Paste

A subtle yet useful feature in iOS 14 is the "Little 11" tweak, which gives older iPhones an iPhone 10 interface and functionality. This allows users to use the app switcher as intended on their iPhone, without the rounded dock look being present. The user can also get rounded corners on their screen with this tweak, completing the iPhone 10 look.

Conclusion

In conclusion, iOS 14 includes a wide range of features that enhance the overall experience of using an iPhone. From turning off the screen without needing to press the power button every time to customizing the control center and camera app, there's something for everyone in this update. Whether you're looking to improve your productivity, customize your home screen, or simply make your iPhone more intuitive, iOS 14 has got you covered.

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enguys welcome back I've been wanting to do this video for a very long time jailbreaking is back baby thanks to axiom X and the work of countless developers we now have a jailbreak on the current version of iOS I was 13.3 in case you're out of the loop this is essentially a boot rom exploit that allows you to jailbreak the iPhone 10 and lower for life period Apple cannot patch this and it allows you to do an amazing assortment of things such as tweaks from lockscreen complications to a new notification system to changing your toggles on the lockscreen changing your orientation on the homescreen adding functionality from the iPad to your iPhone such as the new dock split screen and picture-in-picture and a host of other things and this video would like to walk you through some of my favorite jailbreak tweaks some new things essentially an update on what's going on with the jailbreaking right now yes these are all something you do need to be jailbroken hence the title you want this but do you want it enough to jailbreak link will be found down below in the description if you want to know how to do that now the first jailbreak tweak is complications so on the lockscreen you can now add these Apple watch inspired complications to your lockscreen and you can adjust them directly from the lockscreen many different kinds here and this is something I would love to see ported to I was 14 and directly below that is axon it's a notification grouping tweak that looks very cool very functional it takes your notifications and depending on which apt or from it'll stack them so you can scroll through them instead of your Notification Center being a mess it's very organized like this and depending on how many apps you have you'll be able to scroll this way as well and on the bottom here is quick LS it allows you to change the shortcut from the standard flashlight and camera to an app of your choosing on the iPhone 10 and above so if you need that quick tik tok fix you got it it's open before you know it and you can adjust the app that it chooses in here so there's a lot of customization the offset also of the buttons very neat one okay and this one here is very cool so I'm going to go ahead and send myself a message when you get a notification and your screen is off short look gives you this very cool preview with your organic LED display in mind so it's just lighting up these pixels and then you can set and you can of course change the preset for how long it appears on screen but it's just cool to have your phone sitting there and you get these notifications popping up and here's charged animations so when you plug your device in you can set a custom animation to pop up just like this depending on where your batteries at it'll do different things and there are different presets here so you can choose from an apple flower it's a very neat one also two bubbles different Android one a watch OS and it all takes advantage of the organic LED display and one of my favorites that pairs well with our desecrated air power is maple - which gives you the air power animations that we never had Apple showed these off over two years ago it's kind of cool to see them in action and the actual system UI that came with it all of your gadgets paired to your iPhone will show up here as well such as the Apple watch in your air pods it's a very cool interface buggy but very cool when it works and a couple more in the lock screen so an all-time favorite mitsuo infinity which has been updated for iOS 13 it gives you this very neat looking visualizer that matches to the album artwork now it works with Spotify or Apple music can't wait till colorflow gets updated also below it is next up - which allows you to see the song that's coming up next and you can go ahead and close out of those and go to the next one this is working with Spotify at the moment and it works quite well alright so enough in the lockscreen let's jump in and the first thing you'll notice is animation wise this thing is wicked fast this is an iPhone 10 but it behaves faster than an iPhone 11 Pro even thanks to a tweak called animations be fast plus which allows you to jump into certain different features on the iPhone much faster like even the submenus in settings like it's just roaring to go wants to get in there as fast as possible and this tweak is awesome because you can fine-tune until you get the perfect feeling even the way your iPhone wakes up is now faster and I feel like it transforms the way you use your device even here in the home screen we have grrah DIC ulis yes that's a ridiculous name but it works so this is the old anchor it allows you to place apps anywhere a behavior that Apple for some reason still does not allow you to use on the standard iPhone in fact most of these features that I'm showing you here I would like to see in iOS 14 in one way or another some of them just makes sense yes some are over the top like this we don't need it but it would be cool and in before all the comments about just move to an Android well I definitely would not give up an iPhone for these features but it would be nice to have them and this funky-looking doc down here is floating dock plus 13 so it's been ported from iPad OS to iOS 13 and with it you get certain iPad functionality a long-standing favorite of mine so for one your most recently used app will now show up here in the dock just like on iPads it's a very useful feature and you can actually dictate how many apps will show up in those recents you can have it go way small just like this you can dictate how many apps you want to show up there and in the recent apps we can load even more apps here and let's open up to applications and now we have two apps in the reset so it gets very small but the functionality it adds totally makes sense and another great feature of floating dock plus 13 is the ability to split-screen multitask so let's say in Safari you want to go ahead and message someone dragged up on the dock just like on iPad it's been ported directly from my iPad so it works surprisingly well and you can drag out an individual app like this or if you want to go ahead and split screen multitask place it in the sidebar and boom your multitasking you can reshape the actual windows here this way you can go ahead and text or tik-tok or Instagram up here and down here go ahead and do your thing watch a video browse website it's very useful and also one of my favorites animations while turning pages this one is delivered by cylinder usually before it be barrel but that's not updated and there are so many different animations here you can't randomize them as well but I have a certain few that I like if you'd like to go further with customization the home plus beta allows you to actually change everything on your home screen from the amount of icons to their sizing to whether or not you want labels just swipe down on the bottom left this is like icon ater but works on the latest versions and here you can go ahead and choose how many rows you'd like if you'd like to add more hints you can really really get in there and condensed but I like them fairly simple you can adjust the sizing of your icons here if you want these little specs and it all happens in real time which is the coolest part this one's hard to catch pay attention to my Safari icon it'll move as I move my iPhone this is live Safari and it turns your Safari icon into an actual compass I tested it it tested true north so if you water in the forest often looking at your phone this could help you stay out of trouble in a request I have for Apple with iOS 14 is a way to turn the screen off using software without needing to press the power button every single time so whether it's a swipe or in this case with floating dock plus 13 a double tap on the dock it allows you to do that easily and I think it's more intuitive than needing to press a button just like when you turn your iPhone on with a tap this way you can turn it off with 2 now my battery indicator and the status bar on the top right is bazi 2 and you can actually adjust the way that it looks but it essentially delivers your battery percentage here in the top right where Apple decided not to place it and also a feature you can't help but wonder why Apple has added to iOS ya force in picture allows you to get a picture-in-picture video player feature on your iOS homescreen pretty much do anything while watching a video and it works very well again this is ported directly from the iPad so there's a reason why it actually works surprisingly well you can hide it and put it in two different corners rescale it and even split screen multitask at that this is the future and we're living it now we're not waiting for iOS 16 and also a favorite of mine is bar moji allows you to fill up the bottom dead space on your keyboard with most recently used emojis and you can actually preset them with certain emojis to always have their inaccessible save some time and I like how it looks okay and this has to be the coolest one new cam actually ports the full application from the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro to older iPhones and this actually gives it functionality that these newer iPhones have such as the ability to change the resolution of here in frames per second from within the app everything works as it should such as all functions of the camera and it even gives you the ability to zoom out 0.5 times now obviously you don't get any additional lenses downloaded with this tweak as well but I like the attention to detail another very useful one is see Emanuel's it allows you to change the control center modules add new ones and a bunch of presets you never had before such as shortcuts to apps and more and this is all available from within your stock settings you'll just see a bunch of new icons here for every application you own and then a bunch of other tools and I fully expect iOS 14 to at least have this this is call bar XS or call assist and it allows you to go ahead and keep using your iPhone even when receiving a phone call and same goes for Siri with small Siri a much smaller Siri interface up top that allows you to continue using your phone while asking her questions and there are a few different choices for the interface look and kill X Pro gives you this button on the bottom in your app switcher it's essentially a smart way to kill all of your apps so it'll kill all of them except for ones that are producing audio or certain applications that you whitelist for it to never kill a much smarter way to go about freeing up extra RAM whether or not it actually happens is debatable but once in a while I just like clearing them and silica Pro is a must-have for anyone with earpods Pro and is jailbroken allows you to change the single press force touch functionality here to a host of different options even adds a quad ripple press which could get annoying against but it's nice to have that option a very subtle one I like is passed out changes the notification badge icon to match the color of the app it belongs to and it works very nice very subtle in a very useful one if you copy and paste the lock swipe up on a keyboard with copy log and it'll reveal all of your copied items here you can quickly select the item it'll paste it or if you want to delete one just hold it and it gives you the option and one I highly recommend if you're using on a device older than an iPhone 10 is little 11 it gives you the iPhone 10 interface and the functionality so this way you can actually use the app switcher as it was intended on the iPhone a much more seamless experience jump there apps just like that you get the rounded dock look from the iPhone 10 all in all just a wonderful experience the control center switches places up on the top right but it works well if you can get used to it also with a little 11 you can get rounded corners on your screen completing the iPhone 10 look and of course you have the camera app itself you have a mini iPhone 10 without spending the money for one alright thanks for watching guys if you want to learn more about jailbreaking there'll be like down below otherwise hope you enjoyed my take on the current state of jailbreaking peace\n"
