The LOUDEST 800HP I've Ever Driven - Supercharged Mustang GT 'Track Attack' Review

The Custom S550 Mustang at SEMA 2022

Leaving the body lines of the car was a deliberate design choice to create a custom one-off hood that would showcase the supercharger on display. The goal was to demonstrate the product's capabilities and prove that the car wasn't just a pretty face, but also incredibly fast. The S550 Mustang engine, powered by a DJINN-Coyote, produces an astonishing amount of power, making it a force to be reckoned with on the road.

The interior of the car is designed with comfort in mind, featuring custom seats and a steering wheel that exudes sophistication. However, the most striking feature is undoubtedly the exhaust system, which sounds like a banshee when revving. The shift light on the dashboard adds an extra layer of excitement to the driving experience, making it impossible to resist the urge to pedal this beast. As soon as you take your foot off the gas, the car snaps back into high gear, leaving even the most seasoned drivers in awe.

One of the standout features of the car is the subtle yet effective Eklund's America integration, which adds a touch of patriotism to the GT emblem. The name "Grand Touring America" is emblazoned on the side panel, paying homage to the iconic American muscle cars that came before it. This attention to detail is a testament to the team at VMP Performance, who have clearly put their heart and soul into creating this bespoke Mustang.

Roush coilovers are fitted on the car, which contributes to its aggressive stance and sporty demeanor. The custom survey knee kit adds an extra layer of aggression to the design, while the slightly lower stance than stock gives the car a more menacing appearance. This unique blend of styling elements creates a truly head-turning effect, making it clear that this is no ordinary Mustang.

The origin of the Mustang's name is fascinating, with the S550 model paying homage to the iconic P-51 Mustang aircraft. Originally designed by Ford as an entry-level Mustang, the car was almost named "Ford Cougar", but ultimately settled on a name that would become synonymous with American muscle – Mustang. The team at VMP Performance has cleverly incorporated this legacy into their design, using the same bold typography and color scheme to evoke the spirit of the original Mustang.

Despite its formidable reputation, the S550 Mustang is surprisingly easy to drive, thanks to the independent rear suspension system that sets it apart from other models like the Bullitt Mustang. When paired with the DJINN-Coyote engine and Roush coilovers, the ride becomes incredibly smooth and composed, making long-distance driving a breeze. The car's performance capabilities are truly remarkable, with 750 horsepower on tap – a testament to the engineering prowess of the VMP team.

Track Attack: A Marvel of Modern Modding

The Track Attack car is one of the most impressive modified Mustangs I've ever had the pleasure of driving. From the moment you step into the cockpit, it's clear that this is no ordinary vehicle. The interior is designed with comfort in mind, featuring custom seats and a steering wheel that feels like an extension of your own hand.

As soon as you put the car on the track, it becomes apparent why this car has received so much attention from enthusiasts and journalists alike. The handling is sublime, with the car responding eagerly to every input. I found myself getting lost in the moment, pushing the car to its limits and feeling remarkably safe in the process.

The livery on the Track Attack car is a work of art, featuring bold typography and a striking color scheme that perfectly captures the essence of American muscle. The body kit is a masterclass in design, with every element working together to create a cohesive and aggressive stance that's impossible to ignore.

For many enthusiasts, the most compelling aspect of this car will be its track performance capabilities. With over 750 horsepower on tap, it's clear that Track Attack is no mere mortal Mustang – it's a force to be reckoned with on any circuit. The handling is exceptional, making even the most challenging corners feel like child's play.

If you're lucky enough to have seen the Track Attack car at SEMA this year, I'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions about its design, performance, and overall value. supercharger a lot lately on my channel because VMP was gracious enough to bring me down and also let me drive their cars so huge shout-out to VMP performance for let me drive this guy this car is part of the 800 horsepower Club makes it 800 horsepower it's crazy and it's detuned right now to only 750 he basically uses an 82 millimeter supercharger pulley so it's very fast the djinn 3 supercharger is a two point six five liter supercharger in flows a ton of air but here's the crazy part with all this horsepower this is V and piece track car they've driven this thing around Sebring before even a very bumpy and crazy track so the ability of driving this car and something like that with this kind of horsepower is fascinating to me now let's get down to the side pipe exhaust that's so rowdy car has long tubes with hahaha with the side pipe exhaust and it sounds so nasty however this car is incredibly fast even though it's a track car it's very fast the interior also is very nice very nice suede steering wheel that feels a lot like the gt350 steering wheel but the owner of me Abbey Justin was telling me how great it was to build this for the sea before working with Serbian he is working with Ford themselves and this isn't actually part of the dollar car program you can do for SEMA essentially you pitch out ideas to Ford and to build a modified version of a production car they sell it to you for a dollar you send in your rendering you sit in your concept they approve it and then you build it for SEMA on a very intense time crunch and that is what this car is okay I mean we got to see what this thing's like with the windows down because it's so loud oh my god well that's as loud as a fighter jet that's for sure my ears were literally hanging on the eardrum it's that loud because it's right next to you but the level of detail on this car the fact that it came as an original basically track pack GT and it's transformed as such a monster in and around a track it is so awesome and it's cool to drive a SEMA car just like the Focus RS we drove at the beginning of this review series we've been doing down in Florida that was also a dollar car this was a dollar car in the Focus RS we drove were both SEMA dollar car programs which is super cool be sitting on Ford's main display Ford wants you to leave the hood down to leave the body lines of the car but that is why they did the custom one-off hood at the show of the supercharger because they wanted to show the world their product and they wanted to show the world that this car wasn't just a pretty face they wanted to prove that this car was also very fast cause turning radius pretty good oh man this cars fast this is a stock s550 Mustang engine as well and it's making this much power un-freakin'-believable the djinn - coyote that's in the s550 and a few other cars it's sturdier and stronger than the Gen 1 coyote and that's why people are able to get away with power numbers like this and it's remarkable is it is 550 interior I've talked about in a million times it's a much nicer place to be but with these really comfortable custom seats and the custom steering wheel it feels like a place I could be for a very long time aside from the extremely loud exhaust what's even cooler is when you get into the Opry rpm you get an awesome shift light Wow you definitely have to pedal this thing if you don't pedal it laughing gasps this thing kicks out in as soon as you left the gas it'll snap back around which is really cool I love little details where it says like jet fuel only and cockpit here and things of that nature and I love that the GT implemented Eklund is America it's an American flag integrated into the GT emblem so Grand Touring America crazy horsepower and it can handle around a track it also has Roush coil overs on the car and that's why the car sits so pretty with the body lines of the survey knee kit and it being a little bit lower than stock the s550 factory it really brings this car together with how aggressive it looks and it looks like it could go take on the dogfight any day in the p-51 Mustang the name p-51 Mustang is what inspired for to name their car the Mustang it originally was going to be called the Ford cougar which would not have been as trendy it would not have had the same punch as the name Mustang there's just something about the name that's a very American and very brute force about it that it was something not to mess with in the p-51 Mustang has such a great legend that they brought that legend into the car as well and I think VMP did a really cool job with that and it also shows that Ford appreciated it enough to be on the SEMA floor but the ride itself is actually very smooth they definitely did the dampening and everything right with the coil overs to make it completely livable to drive long distances it's so crazy dude this car makes me smile everything to about this car is that it is an s550 and it has independent rear suspension compared to the Bullitt Mustang we just did from 2001 holy break loose which she has live axle suspension in comparison in man is this car easier to control even under a tunnel load with double horsepower this car is freaking great I've never driven an s550 that feels so buttoned up when it comes down to this car think about this it was a SEMA car it has 750 rear-wheel horsepower that's tuned down it looks like a p-51 Mustang it looks incredible with its glass hood motor and everything is near stock and easy to maintain what is there not to like about this car it sounds so nasty it just goes on and on and on and Justin I think she'd be very proud of this car with him and his team at VMP because wow I love this thing one more for the room I'm sorry Justin I'm sorry I had to end my trip to Florida with a freaking bag and I think that's what I didn't cry you guys I'm gonna pass the question off to you it's finally getting dark today here in Florida but I'm gonna ask you what do you guys think about Track Attack Track Attack I'm not sucking up this is one of the most well put together modified cars I've ever driven when it comes to
