KLipod Review

The Cod: A Versatile and Handy Camera Tripod

I recently had the opportunity to try out the Cod, a camera tripod that has been generating quite a bit of buzz among YouTube creators and enthusiasts alike. As I played around with it, I was impressed by its versatility and the many creative ways in which it can be used.

One of the most interesting things about the Cod is its ability to clip onto different surfaces. The manufacturer describes it as being able to "go ahead and clip it to really bizarre places," and I have to say that they were not exaggerating. I found myself clipping it onto a ceiling fan, which yielded some very interesting shots. It's worth noting that the Cod comes in two sizes: 16 inches and 8 inches. While both sizes are useful, I personally think that the 8-inch version is better suited for most needs.

Another feature of the Cod that I found particularly impressive was its adjustable arm. The arm is bendy enough to be twisted into almost any shape you can imagine, making it easy to position your camera in a variety of ways. This is especially useful when shooting videos on YouTube, where creativity and experimentation are key. And speaking of YouTube, one of the main reasons why I think the Cod is so great is that it gives you a lot of possibilities for getting interesting shots.

The Cod's tripod mount is another feature that I want to highlight. It's designed to slide onto any standard camera tripod mount, making it easy to attach your device to the Cod. This means that if you already have an eye-level tripod or another brand of tripod, you can simply use the Cod Mount instead. The manufacturer also recommends using the 8-inch version for this reason, as it is a bit more compact and easier to handle.

One thing I did want to mention is that the Cod does come with some caveats. For example, if you're going to be carrying your camera around in your backpack or other large bag, the 16-inch version might be a bit too large. However, for most users, this shouldn't be a problem. Additionally, it's worth noting that the Cod is designed for lightweight digital cameras and camcorders only. If you have a larger device, you may want to look elsewhere.

Despite these caveats, I was very impressed with the Cod overall. It's clear that the manufacturer has put a lot of thought into designing a product that will appeal to YouTube creators and enthusiasts alike. And in my opinion, they've succeeded in creating something truly unique and useful. Whether you're just starting out on YouTube or looking for ways to take your existing videos to the next level, I would highly recommend checking out the Cod.

Finally, I want to thank Il Level, who sent me a free copy of the Cod for review purposes. I appreciate their generosity and support, and I hope that this review has been helpful in giving you an idea of what the Cod is like. If you have any questions or comments about the product, please don't hesitate to reach out.

WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey guys so today I'm here with my review of the Cod uh so the Cod is very similar to a product I reviewed just a little while ago which was the eye level uh now the major difference between the Cod and the eye level is that the Cod actually allows you to go ahead and use it as a tripod although obviously it's not exactly the same thing it will allow you to get your own digital camera your flip whatever into really interesting and nice places um I'm actually after testing in a while there's some really interesting ways you can use this uh so let's go ahead and just first start um and go ahead and recap uh the St the clip as well as the stand are identical from the eye level so all the great things I said about them absolutely do apply to the Cod um the clip very very strong you can clip it on to you know the side of a desk um there's a lot of really uh you know there are just all kinds of different ways to use the clip and indeed with the uh Cod um I actually found some really interesting things such as going ahead and clipping it to I'm really bizarre places um to get some really interesting shots so I mean you know I clicked onto a ceiling fan um you can get it to all kinds of really interesting places to get the you know the kind of shots especially if you do YouTube videos it really makes it very handy uh arm still the same uh of course this is the 16 in it does come in 8 in um which actually I kind of do recommend 8 in because I mean as you can see here it is very very large um but depending on how you're going to be using it 8 in would probably be a littleit better just because this is a little bit too much in my opinion but uh either way you can go ahead and do that arm is very bendy you can do it pretty much you know any way you can twist up as a pretzel it also does work pretty well for if you know you're putting in your backpack or whatever you're doing you can go ahead and fold it up nicely now one of the main features obviously of the Cod is this little uh clip where you go ahead and just slides right off and you go ahead and just Mount your digital camera your flip whatever it is right onto here and slide it on okay so let's go and just show you guys really quickly here um like I said said works for pretty much any sort of lightweight digital camera or uh you know maybe a flip maybe a codec Z8 uh maybe you know a s xati um any sort of smaller sort of camcorder as long as not you know huge will work uh so the way to do it is pretty simple you just go ahead and flip over whatever device you have and find the tripod mount ahead and just line it up right here see how well I can do this but looking through the camera here and then just take you know coin or whatever and just ahead and screw it a couple times and it will be nice and secure okay so this is what it will look like once you got it fully set up um as you can see it works pretty well uh obviously we can go ahead um like like I was saying earlier one of the really cool things about the Cod is that it really gives you a lot of you know possibilities I mean you can see here I can shake it upside down all kinds of stuff and really the arm doesn't even budge much less you know the camera fall off or anything like that um obviously I don't really recommend you do that cuz you know you always maybe something got loose or or whatever but uh in general I'm very impressed with the Cod um the manufacturer really is kind of you know marketing it towards the YouTube crowd and I do have to agree um I think this gives you a lot of possibilities if you're just starting out on YouTube or even if you've been doing it for a little while um it's really nice to go ahead and be able to get your smaller camera in kind of interesting locations um so it they give you a lot of you know possibilities like that so um if you're interested you can go ahead and pick this up it does come in a couple different varieties it comes in eight as well as 16in uh lengths as well as it comes in white and black um in addition if you already do have an eye L stand so if you maybe bought one of those or you saw my previous video and you got one um you should know that the the tripod mount itself can actually go ahead and clip on so if you already have an eye level instead of buying a whole new one you can just go ahead and buy the tripod mount itself or rather the Cod Mount itself and it will work just fine uh so anyway guys I would like to go ahead and give a quick thanks to Il level who sent this out to me for free to review to show you guys um really am pretty impressed with it and so you know if you like like I said if you're like into YouTube videos or you know you just like to kind of get some really interesting looking you know shots all that kind of good stuff you definitely will not go wrong with the Cod anyway guys thanks for watchinghey guys so today I'm here with my review of the Cod uh so the Cod is very similar
