thanksgiving so things have are going to be a little bit hectic my plans for this weekend are a little up in the air definitely doing a lot of relaxing clay and i retired in fact tonight which is friday clay and i kind of want to have like a christmas movie marathon all that being said though i do have a lot of reading plans so let's go ahead and talk about them shall we so here are all the books they're not as organized as they normally are so give me a second let me gather let me gather my books um the first one is probably a bit of surprise but guys i have 150 pages left of kingdom of ash and i have been doing so well keeping my vlog separate not reading this during the weekend or during another reading vlog but i have so little left like look at this look and i just really want to finish it tonight and i figure you know i can give my non-spoiler reaction in this vlog for people who haven't read it yet and then when they do read it they can go and watch my spoiler reaction which will be in my kingdom of ash reading vlog but i've just i've got to finish it so i'm going to read the last 150 pages of this then i'm going to pick up one of my most anticipated books of the year wondersmith which i am so excited for by jessica townsend the sequel to nevermoor i just feel like i'm going to fly through this it's going to be whimsical and magical i cannot wait i think this is going to just put a smile on my face and be amazing and then when i hopefully finish that i'm going to continue to read shadow of self by brandon sanderson which i started in my 24 hour readathon vlog another sequel look at me finishing a series and getting up to date on other series i'm just the queen of productivity other plans for the weekend include playing lots of pokemon pikachu let's go pikachu it came in the mail came to me today after i got home from work so i'm planning on playing a lot of that but first and foremost right now i'm gonna read the last 150 pages of kingdom of ash that's my plan trying to do it before clay gets home and then i think we're just gonna order pizza make cookies watch christmas movies clean the apartment of it because it's a little messy but uh yeah that's the plan that those are my plans definitely like my christmas candle you know it's getting close to holiday season when you switch out your pumpkin spice smelling candle to your evergreen tree smelling candle elise in clays and eyes household that's how we transition between holidays but anyway i'm gonna get to reading now i'm really excited about this vlog hopefully you guys don't mind the overlap of kingdom ash but i tried things are a little crazy i just really want to finish this book so i can't wait four more days to pick it up again so i've just got to do it now anyway i'm gonna read now and i will check in all righty millie it's time to finish this it's time to eat some cheetos and it's time to light my candle so and then i'm gonna finish the last 150 pages of this book and it's gonna be a great time right matilda yes yes it is guys i'm shook i did not notice the light up design of this candle when the candle starts burning and lights up a decoration wow wow wow hi guys i finished it i finished it and i just filmed the most rambling long clip of spoiler thoughts to end my other vlog with but yeah overall non-spoiler thoughts this book was a great conclusion i really think sarah j maas did a wonderful job writing an explosive concluding novel the thing about this novel that makes it difficult in a way is like she has so many characters but i thought she did a really great job combining them in ways that made the plot entertaining but not confusing we shifted from a lot of different perspectives but in a way that really worked you got to read and learn more about all of your favorites and new characters in some ways i really liked this book and i also feel like she ended it very successfully i feel very satisfied with this series conclusion which i have not always felt especially with fantasy so i'm just really happy like i really liked the end of this book and yeah i've already read 150 pages this weekend clay still not home but he's on his way we're gonna watch christmas movies which i honestly kind of need because i feel like i'm in a bit of an emotional state from the end of this book and i hope there's a novella but yeah i just i really think it was a very effective conclusion um i'm like very happy with it very happy like good on you i liked aylin and rowan more than i ever have in this book they really grew on me like fungus anyway um i am gonna go now because i need a little more time for my brain to process everything it just read and felt because i'm feeling a lot of things so uh goodbye guys a miracle has occurred so pikachu or the new pokemon game came out and i've been looking forward to this for months and i'm so excited to play it but then i realized i couldn't find my switch power cord but then i realized people at nintendo are geniuses and they made it with the power c so i use my laptop charger and it's working it's working and you can see my camera and clay's making all sorts of noises but this is so exciting i can play pokemon now i'm setting up my pokemon game and i named my rival matilda that's him her it's matilda i will defeat you also clay's home hello we're going to watch a christmas movie i'm very excited which christmas who do you want to watch clay there's a couple new ones on netflix or are we gonna watch it i was thinking maybe we're gonna watch well i was thinking maybe for starters we'd watch something on like one of the netflix christmas movies that are out now because they've released a bunch you know well we'll we'll get to it we'll circle we've decided on the princess switch yes it's a little festive but not full christmas yet so it's more like winter spirit well i'm sure it has a lot to do with the holidays too but look there's just snowflakes plus who doesn't love a princess switch this is like a classic movie trope right clay classic movie trope it's like freaky friday you've got you've got somebody pretending to be somebody else that looks like them you've got they fall in love you've got love of course and you have people from two different worlds colliding you've got princesses yeah from some country uh-huh that's made up we have high school we have high school musical we do we have two high school musicals it's true ooh my pikachu's time to go all right let's get started let's watch hi everyone we watched like 75 percent of the princess switch and we're liking it i mean it's absurd like the movie is absurd but we're gonna finish it tomorrow i wanted to play some pokemon before going to bed and read some wondersmith by jessica townsend because i finished as you guys know kingdom of ash which i am still so pumped about 100 pages of this reading vlog um but yeah i only like picked up pikachu so far in my game and i wanted to get some more playing time in and then go to bed oh yeah good night sleep i feel like i have not been giving myself enough sleep so i really want to catch up and then matilda has an early grooming appointment on sunday so i'm going to get an early start i know for a fact on sunday so i just really want to like sometimes i make my hair look like a palm tree anyway i really like to give myself a lot of sleep or i feel like i want to do that tonight and i'm going to be doing a filming marathon tomorrow i'm going to be filming like five videos tomorrow or something because i'm traveling for thanksgiving and missing a filming weekend then i'm back and then i'm gone for two weekends because i'm going on vacation with my friend emily which i'm really looking forward to um that being said though i have to do a lot of pre-filming which is totally fine i've just gotta get i just gotta stay and be organized so i can succeed in doing that and just get everything all together and ready to go you know yeah you know so i'm gonna do that tomorrow starting tomorrow and then the following weekend but anyway right now i'm gonna play pokemon priorities guys this is not a drill you can dress up your pikachu in this game you can dress up pikachu we match this is the greatest day of my life good morning everyone the marathon's about to start i'm gonna put survivor on but i'm gonna do a bit of waking up first i'm gonna play some more pokemon which by the way i thought i hated this new edition of pokemon but now i'm obsessed with it so there's that and then i'm gonna start i didn't end up reading any wonder smith last night because i just played pokemon for like three hours but today i'm going to after i film all the videos i need to film woo okay survivor time today's back with the coffee we both got holiday lattes i got gingerbread and what'd you get clay uh maple pecan starting the filming palooza and of course the construction started at the same time story of my life one video down i think i'm only gonna film one more today and then i'll get to editing and then i'll film two tomorrow and then i'll be in a good spot great spot good spot great spot you know i'll take it just finished editing i should probably pick up that pile of stuff but matilda and i are getting ready to read right clay getting ready to read and we also did what clay we took some photos no we ordered a pizza and we ordered a pizza we did take some photos though but i was talking mostly about pizza right matilda right right right she's like this scene looks familiar football on i'm on the couch reading pretending to watch the football clay's watching the football i'm so hyped for that pizza clay we ordered a salad with it to make ourselves feel better but i got ranches the dressing so we'll see but yes later we're going to meet up with some people to watch the ut football game because clay really wants to do that this weekend so i said sure i won't play pokemon tonight i'll go but in the meantime i want to read at least 100 pages of the wondersmith by jessica townsend which i feel like will not be a problem at all it's currently 2 p.m i finished filming three videos edited and uploaded one and shot some instagram so it's very productive this morning and so i just need to recreate that tomorrow and we'll be all set um so i feel good about having like four hours to get some reading in play some pokemon and have a nice day matilda is snuggling with me right here this is her head there she is so i'm gonna read now toodaloo do you like always my new earrings okay now i'm leaving for real and we're back with pizza from the exact same place we went to last time it's like the last reading vlog we really like pizza this is a rerun skip to the next episode we got a salad this time healthy healthy healthy hi friends i just wanted to check in and say i have been sitting here reading the wundersmith i've read 65 pages and guys i've already fallen back into the squirrels so easily i just love this book series it's just so whimsical so magical so fun and so clever and even more exciting like she keeps upping the ante on me when it comes to my favorite tropes last last book was a magical competition now we're in a magical school setting i mean there's really not much more i could have asked for in terms of plot so again 65 pages clay and i have a couple more hours before we need to leave so i'm gonna try to read a bit more definitely my goal is to get to at least page 100 and then i feel like i'll be in a good spot have already read 250 pages this weekend so feel good about that but i think i'm going to make a cup of coffee because i think i'm going to stay up later tonight than i normally would because the ut football game starts at eight realistically 8 15 because everything's always late college games last forever we're gonna be in midtown i'm not gonna get home until definitely after midnight so i'm gonna need some caffeine help plus i have to wake up early tomorrow to take millie to her hair appointment her little grooming appointment getting her all set and ready for the holidays she's gonna look so beautiful but anyway i'm gonna get back to reading and make some coffee i just wanted to check in and tell you how much i'm already loving wondersmith coffee time this is how i'll survive staying up past midnight i'm such a grandma it's like that riff i just made pretty good right i've moved into the bedroom to get more serious reading done i'm sat on bed with laundry we'll get to you later i have my cup of coffee as well here i am i've already read five pages making great progress guys i just passed the 100 page mark i'm already loving this book so much i love it so much the school setting is incredible it's such a unique magic school setting so clever and creative i'm loving it so much i don't know how much more and different ways i can say that it's just such a creative world and it's hilarious and ugh everything about it is amazing and i have a feeling the series is gonna be really long just based on something someone said in the book like they're at this school for five years so i feel like that means at least five more books they're like this is their first year and that's when they're a junior scholar they could be a senior scholar how many books is going to be in this series i hope a million i hope all of them just past the 175 mark i am reading this book faster than i even could fathom reading it it's just like i'm blowing through it every time i start i can't put it down it's giving me such nostalgic vibes i mean obviously a magic school setting is always one of my favorite things to read without fail but it might be too soon to call but i might be liking this one even more than the first one i don't know but i just love like this whole like group of students coming together to learn it's just so good guys i don't even know how long this is i feel like oh let's find out i feel like i might be able to finish it it is 5 25. so i'm at 175 into this that means i've read over 300 pages so far for the weekend super jazzed about that and i'm reading this book so quickly i really feel like i can get a very large chunk of the way through but right now clay and i are gonna watch friends and i am gonna watch pokemon or play pokemon hi until i have to go watch football till so late all righty clay and arrow heading out right clay we're leaving we're leaving i don't want to go but i'm going tomorrow i'm going to do so much reading though you best believe it i'm really proud of myself i have already over 300 pages so far this weekend clay we're 300 pages that's a lot more this is weird lighting i'm in shadow i'm a half shadow half-light full-length shadow it's early in the morning on a sunday and we're about to take matilda someplace she is not gonna like isn't that right millie i just got her breakfast so she's very focused on her bowl hi everyone we're back from dropping matilda off at the groomers she's really not happy about it but she'll be back soon uh in the meantime i'm dressed and i'm gonna do some filming i want to film two videos today so i'm gonna get started on that now and early and then get to editing and then try to read and relax a lot today sounds great the filming commence also if you guys watch my book haul just know that clay was fast asleep on the couch right next to me look at him who's home look who's all freshly groomed that is a one looking bandana millie i might take that off you but you look at you she smells so good you smell fresh as a daisy filmed two videos and just sat here and edited my kingdom of ash reading vlog it's for it's gonna be over 40 minutes hopefully you guys like it because it's long but had a bit of a productive morning matilda has not been wanting to hang out she has been in here um but when i get this edited i am gonna go hang out on the couch with clay and do reading finally yay to reading now we are connoisseurs of taste and luxury and that right matilda alrighty guys i got a cup of coffee i am gonna read now i've been very productive this morning until there's been napping post haircut but i've been productive doing filming and editing but now i'm ready to ready to read it is like gloomy outside and i'm really tired so i feel like this is the perfect sunday to read this amazing book but also just like never leave my apartment ever again sound good matilda perfect hi friends popping in here to say i have read another 50 pages so i'm now on page 220. and i am just loving this book so much aside from the whimsy that i feel like i always talk about this book i feel like the author does such a great job creating such interesting mystery as well as like plot stakes i love the school setting but there's also like a lot of frustrations not with the book but i feel like she's just really good at creating she's really good at bringing in elements that are problems within our world world where people are ostracized for things that are out of their control be it where they're from or what they look like and fold that into like a more fantastical way but shows that while this world is magical and super cool it still has a lot to like grow and learn and change as well um that being said i have no idea who is behind the mystery of this book it is a sequel so i'm trying to be vague it's just so good i love everything about this series so much it just puts like a smile on my face it's hilarious i love our main character she is spunky she is trying her best she also relies on the people she trusts the adults in her life she doesn't like refuse to tell them anything because they're adults or whatever which i always hate in middle grade novels so ah so far so amazing i love this book i love this series matilda is snoring oh millie i have read those 50 pages and i've been watching hanging out with clay but i'm gonna go over there and edit another video to keep my productivity going and then i'll come back and read more so productivity first reading later hi friends i just finished editing which is great and clay just went to go get a haircut the bears game is tonight so it's about four o'clock 4 30 so i'm gonna spend a lot of this time reading prior to the bears game because i will be focusing a lot of my attention on that game so i'm gonna move into the bedroom and read and try to read at least another 200 pages which i think i should be able to do as i'm flying through this book hi friends i just passed the 300 page mark and i just like love everything about this book my heart is hurting a little bit for main character morgan because she's going through some tumultuous times so we're kind of in the middle of the book so conflict is is rising but it's so sad she's fighting with being judged and being ostracized which is a theme that was also present in the first book but she still has so many lovely people in her life her best friend but specifically i love her relationship with jupiter kind of like caregiver uh and the owner of that magical hotel she stays in he's just so great and i just love that she has like a positive parental role in our life be it someone she's directly related to or someone that she they've like chosen each other to be kind of this role which i just think is so sweet and i just my heart is equal parts hurting and melting and happy and sad but this bookish is so good i mean the mystery is really starting to ramp up i have no idea what's gonna happen next oh i just hope they make the right decision i feel like i just wanna like go to the school and yell at some people um but yeah again though the magical setting is so cool i love a school setting i could literally read about magical kids in class all day like do it and learn and stuff because in my mind i'm learning it and then i'll be able to do it too place home from his haircut and he already covered it oh yeah fresh locks panty commercial you're so brooklyn clay i know just past the 350 page mark of this book that means i have already read over 500 pages this weekend which is very very very exciting oh this book is also really picking up lots of things starting to come together new magical creatures are starting to appear i just love the magical world of this it kind of combines like traditional magic some things that you would kind of expect to see in a fantasy book but then combines it with really new and clever elements sometimes heading around the content of luck sometimes just pure whimsy but every time i love it and enjoy it it's so great um but yeah i have how many pages left i feel like just under 200 pages left of this book i don't know if i'm gonna be able to finish it tonight but the fact that i've read over 500 pages this weekend is one that i am really pleased with so i'm gonna continue trekking along on this i am gonna stop and cook dinner soon but i gotta go hungrier first before i can make dinner i'm gonna make like some spaghetti something easy peasy but uh i'm gonna try to read a little bit more but uh this book is absolutely incredible i'm loving it so much which feels so great all right it's time to make dinner it's spaghetti time spaghetti i will jazz this up a little bit but it will not take very long to make which is why i love spaghetti jazzing the spaghetti up with some jalapeno sausage and onions i'm gonna eat mine with zucchini spirals but i'm also making some whole wheat pasta yes i still only take like 15 minutes i love fast dinners the key here is to brown it i want everything to be nice and brown before you toss the sausage bears game is about to start and i'm so excited and everything is done funny story clay and i forgot to do the dishes there's only one clean plate so he let me eat first and now it's his turn our lives are a mess getting some final reading in before the bears game start clay and i are very excited we're also going to make some cookies later i have my christmas candle lit i don't know where matilda is but she's thriving as well oh that's nice anyway yeah that's true anyway it's been a great night bears game's going well clay and i just tried to learn how to floss we did really great we watched a youtube tutorial from like a nine year old i've never felt older look at this cutie bears fan oh look at you freshly washed matilda smells better than me honestly she got some fancy some fancy perfume filled shampoo today she's glamorous she is glamour she is grace we are making some cookies i'm interested to see if these trader joe's cookies are as good as the pillsbury ones i really love the pillsbury cookies um so we'll have to see we'll let you know don't love the cookies but clay does so i gave them all to him because i'm really nice i'm using milk right now oh yeah ours was spoiled lots of questions about the two toys that we gave matilda a few vlogs back and how they uh how they held out wanna do you wanna let them know millie well i'm happy to say mine did beat clays but this little one destroyed both of them in under a week didn't you yeah you did hi everyone happy to say the bears pulled off a very exciting victory so i've now retreated into the bedroom to read some more at nevermore oh matilda's here would you like to go underneath the blankets millie she does okay but so i've retreated back into the bedroom to read more nevermore and then to go to bed because i do have to go to work tomorrow tragically um but i am on page 375 of this book i'm going to try to read about 100 more pages tonight so ending at 4.75 which would be great because that means about over 600 pages read for the weekend which i think is a grand success also seriously this book is incredible it's giving me all the nostalgia vibes magic vibes like if you are just looking for a great middle grade story this is it everyone if you like harry potter this is very different than harry potter but in some ways really gives me the same type of vibes in that like friendship and magic and working against evil and overcoming adversity and like all of those things like present in here i love it it's so amazing oh and i think it's gonna be long it's gonna be a long series which means so much fun is ahead of us but anyway i'm going to read more of it now and then go to bed because it's kind of late hey friends and welcome to the end of the vlog the next day i had one of my best reading weekends of the year so far um first read and loved everything but two just i've read quite a large volume i've realized you guys are at a slight slant fixed you but anyway without further ado let's chat about what i read so the first thing i completed was i read the final 150 pages of kingdom of ash and at this point i can definitively say the spoiler reading vlog for this is up as i just finished editing it so yay um but a non-spoilery reaction to this book was i thought this was a fantastic concluding novel to the throne of glass series all in all i think this was a really effective fun fast-paced series i personally really enjoyed it i understand definitely acknowledge that there are flaws but overall i personally find the character dynamics to be at times overdramatic but still incredibly addicting i have so many faves in this series and i don't know it was fun to read a concluding novel and i thought sarah j maas did a really good job wrapping everything up and tying up all the loose ends and providing like a really nice stable ending after i completed that book which i gave i want to say 4.75 maybe 5 out of 5 stars and i'm still mulling it over i picked up wondersmith by jessica i'm like holding upside down jessica townsend which guys is so incredible if you have not picked up this middle grade series i implore you i implore you to give it a try even if you don't read middle grade regularly i swear you'll love this i end up reading 450 pages of this it's amazing all i want to do is complete this book and i plan to tonight after i finish doing a bit more editing and packing for the holidays but this is amazing this is maybe even better than the first one but it's just such a fantastical magical world again this follows our main character morgan who is just uh basically sweeped away to this magical land to save herself from being sacrificed in her own hometown and it's it's a magical world that has such a creative and whimsical feel to it i love all the characters this one has a school setting that's just amazing i love the trials and tribulations the friendship the fallouts the gaining of trust the losing of trust the stakes it has everything and i love it and it gets me every time puts a smile on my face makes me shed a tear it is a beautiful nostalgic field middle grade series read it get it for your little sibling get it for yourself get it for your neighbor get it for your cousin get it for everyone everyone needs to read this it's so good but anyway all in all that means i read over 600 pages this weekend which i am shocked at because i had kind of a lot to do this weekend but that just shows how good the books i was reading were check in all righty millie it's time to finish this it's time to eat some cheetos and it's time to light my candle so and then i'm gonna finish the last 150 pages of this book and it's gonna be a great time right matilda yes yes it is guys i'm shook i did not notice the light up design of this candle when the candle starts burning and lights up a decoration wow wow wow hi guys i finished it i finished it and i just filmed the most rambling long clip of spoiler thoughts to end my other vlog with but yeah overall non-spoiler thoughts this book was a great conclusion i really think sarah j maas did a wonderful job writing an explosive concluding novel the thing about this novel that makes it difficult in a way is like she has so many characters but i thought she did a really great job combining them in ways that made the plot entertaining but not confusing we shifted from a lot of different perspectives but in a way that really worked you got to read and learn more about all of your favorites and new characters in some ways i really liked this book and i also feel like she ended it very successfully i feel very satisfied with this series conclusion which i have not always felt especially with fantasy so i'm just really happy like i really liked the end of this book and yeah i've already read 150 pages this weekend clay still not home but he's on his way we're gonna watch christmas movies which i honestly kind of need because i feel like i'm in a bit of an emotional state from the end of this book and i hope there's a novella but yeah i just i really think it was a very effective conclusion um i'm like very happy with it very happy like good on you i liked aylin and rowan more than i ever have in this book they really grew on me like fungus anyway um i am gonna go now because i need a little more time for my brain to process everything it just read and felt because i'm feeling a lot of things so uh goodbye guys a miracle has occurred so pikachu or the new pokemon game came out and i've been looking forward to this for months and i'm so excited to play it but then i realized i couldn't find my switch power cord but then i realized people at nintendo are geniuses and they made it with the power c so i use my laptop charger and it's working it's working and you can see my camera and clay's making all sorts of noises but this is so exciting i can play pokemon now i'm setting up my pokemon game and i named my rival matilda that's him her it's matilda i will defeat you also clay's home hello we're going to watch a christmas movie i'm very excited which christmas who do you want to watch clay there's a couple new ones on netflix or are we gonna watch it i was thinking maybe we're gonna watch well i was thinking maybe for starters we'd watch something on like one of the netflix christmas movies that are out now because they've released a bunch you know well we'll we'll get to it we'll circle we've decided on the princess switch yes it's a little festive but not full christmas yet so it's more like winter spirit well i'm sure it has a lot to do with the holidays too but look there's just snowflakes plus who doesn't love a princess switch this is like a classic movie trope right clay classic movie trope it's like freaky friday you've got you've got somebody pretending to be somebody else that looks like them you've got they fall in love you've got love of course and you have people from two different worlds colliding you've got princesses yeah from some country uh-huh that's made up we have high school we have high school musical we do we have two high school musicals it's true ooh my pikachu's time to go all right let's get started let's watch hi everyone we watched like 75 percent of the princess switch and we're liking it i mean it's absurd like the movie is absurd but we're gonna finish it tomorrow i wanted to play some pokemon before going to bed and read some wondersmith by jessica townsend because i finished as you guys know kingdom of ash which i am still so pumped about 100 pages of this reading vlog um but yeah i only like picked up pikachu so far in my game and i wanted to get some more playing time in and then go to bed oh yeah good night sleep i feel like i have not been giving myself enough sleep so i really want to catch up and then matilda has an early grooming appointment on sunday so i'm going to get an early start i know for a fact on sunday so i just really want to like sometimes i make my hair look like a palm tree anyway i really like to give myself a lot of sleep or i feel like i want to do that tonight and i'm going to be doing a filming marathon tomorrow i'm going to be filming like five videos tomorrow or something because i'm traveling for thanksgiving and missing a filming weekend then i'm back and then i'm gone for two weekends because i'm going on vacation with my friend emily which i'm really looking forward to um that being said though i have to do a lot of pre-filming which is totally fine i've just gotta get i just gotta stay and be organized so i can succeed in doing that and just get everything all together and ready to go you know yeah you know so i'm gonna do that tomorrow starting tomorrow and then the following weekend but anyway right now i'm gonna play pokemon priorities guys this is not a drill you can dress up your pikachu in this game you can dress up pikachu we match this is the greatest day of my life good morning everyone the marathon's about to start i'm gonna put survivor on but i'm gonna do a bit of waking up first i'm gonna play some more pokemon which by the way i thought i hated this new edition of pokemon but now i'm obsessed with it so there's that and then i'm gonna start i didn't end up reading any wonder smith last night because i just played pokemon for like three hours but today i'm going to after i film all the videos i need to film woo okay survivor time today's back with the coffee we both got holiday lattes i got gingerbread and what'd you get clay uh maple pecan starting the filming palooza and of course the construction started at the same time story of my life one video down i think i'm only gonna film one more today and then i'll get to editing and then i'll film two tomorrow and then i'll be in a good spot great spot good spot great spot you know i'll take it just finished editing i should probably pick up that pile of stuff but matilda and i are getting ready to read right clay getting ready to read and we also did what clay we took some photos no we ordered a pizza and we ordered a pizza we did take some photos though but i was talking mostly about pizza right matilda right right right she's like this scene looks familiar football on i'm on the couch reading pretending to watch the football clay's watching the football i'm so hyped for that pizza clay we ordered a salad with it to make ourselves feel better but i got ranches the dressing so we'll see but yes later we're going to meet up with some people to watch the ut football game because clay really wants to do that this weekend so i said sure i won't play pokemon tonight i'll go but in the meantime i want to read at least 100 pages of the wondersmith by jessica townsend which i feel like will not be a problem at all it's currently 2 p.m i finished filming three videos edited and uploaded one and shot some instagram so it's very productive this morning and so i just need to recreate that tomorrow and we'll be all set um so i feel good about having like four hours to get some reading in play some pokemon and have a nice day matilda is snuggling with me right here this is her head there she is so i'm gonna read now toodaloo do you like always my new earrings okay now i'm leaving for real and we're back with pizza from the exact same place we went to last time it's like the last reading vlog we really like pizza this is a rerun skip to the next episode we got a salad this time healthy healthy healthy hi friends i just wanted to check in and say i have been sitting here reading the wundersmith i've read 65 pages and guys i've already fallen back into the squirrels so easily i just love this book series it's just so whimsical so magical so fun and so clever and even more exciting like she keeps upping the ante on me when it comes to my favorite tropes last last book was a magical competition now we're in a magical school setting i mean there's really not much more i could have asked for in terms of plot so again 65 pages clay and i have a couple more hours before we need to leave so i'm gonna try to read a bit more definitely my goal is to get to at least page 100 and then i feel like i'll be in a good spot have already read 250 pages this weekend so feel good about that but i think i'm going to make a cup of coffee because i think i'm going to stay up later tonight than i normally would because the ut football game starts at eight realistically 8 15 because everything's always late college games last forever we're gonna be in midtown i'm not gonna get home until definitely after midnight so i'm gonna need some caffeine help plus i have to wake up early tomorrow to take millie to her hair appointment her little grooming appointment getting her all set and ready for the holidays she's gonna look so beautiful but anyway i'm gonna get back to reading and make some coffee i just wanted to check in and tell you how much i'm already loving wondersmith coffee time this is how i'll survive staying up past midnight i'm such a grandma it's like that riff i just made pretty good right i've moved into the bedroom to get more serious reading done i'm sat on bed with laundry we'll get to you later i have my cup of coffee as well here i am i've already read five pages making great progress guys i just passed the 100 page mark i'm already loving this book so much i love it so much the school setting is incredible it's such a unique magic school setting so clever and creative i'm loving it so much i don't know how much more and different ways i can say that it's just such a creative world and it's hilarious and ugh everything about it is amazing and i have a feeling the series is gonna be really long just based on something someone said in the book like they're at this school for five years so i feel like that means at least five more books they're like this is their first year and that's when they're a junior scholar they could be a senior scholar how many books is going to be in this series i hope a million i hope all of them just past the 175 mark i am reading this book faster than i even could fathom reading it it's just like i'm blowing through it every time i start i can't put it down it's giving me such nostalgic vibes i mean obviously a magic school setting is always one of my favorite things to read without fail but it might be too soon to call but i might be liking this one even more than the first one i don't know but i just love like this whole like group of students coming together to learn it's just so good guys i don't even know how long this is i feel like oh let's find out i feel like i might be able to finish it it is 5 25. so i'm at 175 into this that means i've read over 300 pages so far for the weekend super jazzed about that and i'm reading this book so quickly i really feel like i can get a very large chunk of the way through but right now clay and i are gonna watch friends and i am gonna watch pokemon or play pokemon hi until i have to go watch football till so late all righty sunday and we're about to take matilda someplace she is not gonna like isn't that right millie i just got her breakfast so she's very focused on her bowl hi everyone we're back from dropping matilda off at the groomers she's really not happy about it but she'll be back soon uh in the meantime i'm dressed and i'm gonna do some filming i want to film two videos today so i'm gonna get started on that now and early and then get to editing and then try to read and relax a lot today sounds great the filming commence also if you guys watch my book haul just know that clay was fast asleep on the couch right next to me look at him who's home look who's all freshly groomed that is a one looking bandana millie i might take that off you but you look at you she smells so good you smell fresh as a daisy filmed two videos and just sat here and edited my kingdom of ash reading vlog it's for it's gonna be over 40 minutes hopefully you guys like it because it's long but had a bit of a productive morning matilda has not been wanting to hang out she has been in here um but when i get this edited i am gonna go hang out on the couch with clay and do reading finally yay to reading now we are connoisseurs of taste and luxury and that right matilda alrighty guys i got a cup of coffee i am gonna read now i've been very productive this morning until there's been napping post haircut but i've been productive doing filming and editing but now i'm ready to ready to read it is like gloomy outside and i'm really tired so i feel like this is the perfect sunday to read this amazing book but also just like never leave my apartment ever again sound good matilda perfect hi friends popping in here to say i have read another 50 pages so i'm now on page 220. and i am just loving this book so much aside from the whimsy that i feel like i always talk about this book i feel like the author does such a great job creating such interesting mystery as well as like plot stakes i love the school setting but there's also like a lot of frustrations not with the book but i feel like she's just really good at creating she's really good at bringing in elements that are problems within our world world where people are ostracized for things that are out of their control be it where they're from or what they look like and fold that into like a more fantastical way but shows that while this world is magical and super cool it still has a lot to like grow and learn and change as well um that being said i have no idea who is behind the mystery of this book it is a sequel so i'm trying to be vague it's just so good i love everything about this series so much it just puts like a smile on my face it's hilarious i love our main character she is spunky she is trying her best she also relies on the people she trusts the adults in her life she doesn't like refuse to tell them anything because they're adults or whatever which i always hate in middle grade novels so ah so far so amazing i love this book i love this series matilda is snoring oh millie i have read those 50 pages and i've been watching hanging out with clay but i'm gonna go over there and edit another video to keep my productivity going and then i'll come back and read more so productivity first reading later hi friends i just finished editing which is great and clay just went to go get a haircut the bears game is tonight so it's about four o'clock 4 30 so i'm gonna spend a lot of this time reading prior to the bears game because i will be focusing a lot of my attention on that game so i'm gonna move into the bedroom and read and try to read at least another 200 pages which i think i should be able to do as i'm flying through this book hi friends i just passed the 300 page mark and i just like love everything about this book my heart is hurting a little bit for main character morgan because she's going through some tumultuous times so we're kind of in the middle of the book so conflict is is rising but it's so sad she's fighting with being judged and being ostracized which is a theme that was also present in the first book but she still has so many lovely people in her life her best friend but specifically i love her relationship with jupiter kind of like caregiver uh and the owner of that magical hotel she stays in he's just so great and i just love that she has like a positive parental role in our life be it someone she's directly related to or someone that she they've like chosen each other to be kind of this role which i just think is so sweet and i just my heart is equal parts hurting and melting and happy and sad but this bookish is so good i mean the mystery is really starting to ramp up i have no idea what's gonna happen next oh i just hope they make the right decision i feel like i just wanna like go to the school and yell at some people um but yeah again though the magical setting is so cool i love a school setting i could literally read about magical kids in class all day like do it and learn and stuff because in my mind i'm learning it and then i'll be able to do it too place home from his haircut and he already covered it oh yeah fresh locks panty commercial you're so brooklyn clay i know just past the 350 page mark of this book that means i have already read over 500 pages this weekend which is very very very exciting oh this book is also really picking up lots of things starting to come together new magical creatures are starting to appear i just love the magical world of this it kind of combines like traditional magic some things that you would kind of expect to see in a fantasy book but then combines it with really new and clever elements sometimes heading around the content of luck sometimes just pure whimsy but every time i love it and enjoy it it's so great um but yeah i have how many pages left i feel like just under 200 pages left of this book i don't know if i'm gonna be able to finish it tonight but the fact that i've read over 500 pages this weekend is one that i am really pleased with so i'm gonna continue trekking along on this i am gonna stop and cook dinner soon but i gotta go hungrier first before i can make dinner i'm gonna make like some spaghetti something easy peasy but uh i'm gonna try to read a little bit more but uh this book is absolutely incredible i'm loving it so much which feels so great all right it's time to make dinner it's spaghetti time spaghetti i will jazz this up a little bit but it will not take very long to make which is why i love spaghetti jazzing the spaghetti up with some jalapeno sausage and onions i'm gonna eat mine with zucchini spirals but i'm also making some whole wheat pasta yes i still only take like 15 minutes i love fast dinners the key here is to brown it i want everything to be nice and brown before you toss the sausage bears game is about to start and i'm so excited and everything is done funny story clay and i forgot to do the dishes there's only one clean plate so he let me eat first and now it's his turn our lives are a mess getting some final reading in before the bears game start clay and i are very excited we're also going to make some cookies later i have my christmas candle lit i don't know where matilda is but she's thriving as well oh that's nice anyway yeah that's true anyway it's been a great night bears game's going well clay and i just tried to learn how to floss we did really great we watched a youtube tutorial from like a nine year old i've never felt older look at this cutie bears fan oh look at you freshly washed matilda smells better than me honestly she got some fancy some fancy perfume filled shampoo today she's glamorous she is glamour she is grace we are making some cookies i'm interested to see if these trader joe's cookies are as good as the pillsbury ones i really love the pillsbury cookies um so we'll have to see we'll let you know don't love the cookies but clay does so i gave them all to him because i'm really nice i'm using milk right now oh yeah ours was spoiled lots of questions about the two toys that we gave matilda a few vlogs back and how they uh how they held out wanna do you wanna let them know millie well i'm happy to say mine did beat clays but this little one destroyed both of them in under a week didn't you yeah you did hi everyone happy to say the bears pulled off a very exciting victory so i've now retreated into the bedroom to read some more at nevermore oh matilda's here would you like to go underneath the blankets millie she does okay but so i've retreated back into the bedroom to read more nevermore and then to go to bed because i do have to go to work tomorrow tragically um but i am on page 375 of this book i'm going to try to read about 100 more pages tonight so ending at 4.75 which would be great because that means about over 600 pages read for the weekend which i think is a grand success also seriously this book is incredible it's giving me all the nostalgia vibes magic vibes like if you are just looking for a great middle grade story this is it everyone if you like harry potter this is very different than harry potter but in some ways really gives me the same type of vibes in that like friendship and magic and working against evil and overcoming adversity and like all of those things like present in here i love it it's so amazing oh and i think it's gonna be long it's gonna be a long series which means so much fun is ahead of us but anyway i'm going to read more of it now and then go to bed because it's kind of late hey friends and welcome to the end of the vlog the next day i had one of my best reading weekends of the year so far um first read and loved everything but two just i've read quite a large volume i've realized you guys are at a slight slant fixed you but anyway without further ado let's chat about what i read so the first thing i completed was i read the final 150 pages of kingdom of ash and at this point i can definitively say the spoiler reading vlog for this is up as i just finished editing it so yay um but a non-spoilery reaction to this book was i thought this was a fantastic concluding novel to the throne of glass series all in all i think this was a really effective fun fast-paced series i personally really enjoyed it i understand definitely acknowledge that there are flaws but overall i personally find the character dynamics to be at times overdramatic but still incredibly addicting i have so many faves in this series and i don't know it was fun to read a concluding novel and i thought sarah j maas did a really good job wrapping everything up and tying up all the loose ends and providing like a really nice stable ending after i completed that book which i gave i want to say 4.75 maybe 5 out of 5 stars and i'm still mulling it over i picked up wondersmith by jessica i'm like holding upside down jessica townsend which guys is so incredible if you have not picked up this middle grade series i implore you i implore you to give it a try even if you don't read middle grade regularly i swear you'll love this i end up reading 450 pages of this it's amazing all i want to do is complete this book and i plan to tonight after i finish doing a bit more editing and packing for the holidays but this is amazing this is maybe even better than the first one but it's just such a fantastical magical world again this follows our main character morgan who is just uh basically sweeped away to this magical land to save herself from being sacrificed in her own hometown and it's it's a magical world that has such a creative and whimsical feel to it i love all the characters this one has a school setting that's just amazing i love the trials and tribulations the friendship the fallouts the gaining of trust the losing of trust the stakes it has everything and i love it and it gets me every time puts a smile on my face makes me shed a tear it is a beautiful nostalgic field middle grade series read it get it for your little sibling get it for yourself get it for your neighbor get it for your cousin get it for everyone everyone needs to read this it's so good but anyway all in all that means i read over 600 pages this weekend which i am shocked at because i had kind of a lot to do this weekend but that just shows how good the books i was reading were in terms of keeping me entertained um but yeah i'm super happy with what i read and that is everything so i hope you guys enjoyed this reading vlog and i'll see you soon with likely a holiday reading
