**My Reading Habits and Preferences**
I'm bored with it a lot of times so I like short books and long or short chapters it depends on the book but I kind of like like I've read Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys recently and that has really short chapters and I really enjoyed the short chapters so I think that's probably what I'll be looking for in my next book. When I'm thinking of all the books that you think of, I'm thinking of all the ones that I mentioned in this video and the ones that I just mentioned but I'll just pick random three off of my shelf cuz it's in front of me uh layer of Dreams by Libba Bray Elanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell and Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo.
**Favorite Genres**
Books that make you laugh or cry are the kind of books that interest me. I want a book that makes me laugh because I don't really like crying so I like a good book that makes me laugh like My Lady Jane by the Lady Janies, our world or fictional worlds. It really depends sometimes I'll really be in the mood to read something that takes place in our world but um a lot of times I'm looking for kind of like an escape from all the things that I have to do so I really like fictional worlds and I do think it's really interesting to learn about a different world and kind of Escape into it.
**Audiobooks**
I love Audi books. Just think they're the best and I just like being able to do other things while I'm still reading a book so like I love coloring and coloring books while I'm listening to a book it's like the best it's pure Bliss and is so relaxing. So, yes, I really love audiobooks but sometimes the narrators aren't very good and they kind of ruin it but when it's a really great narrator I love audiobooks.
**Judging Books by Their Covers**
Absolutely, I am not going to lie about that I mean 98% of my interest in a book comes from the cover a lot of people I know it comes from the title but I'm not like that I read the title if the cover has intrigued me so my Intrigue comes from the cover. Like there's The Female of the Species by Mindy McGinniss, I was intrigued by that because there's animals on the cover um like if it's an author that I don't know them before then it's definitely the cover.
**TV Shows and Movies**
I'm not really a huge fan of either of them. um but I guess TV just cuz I prefer it but then again like there's some that haven't been done that well um there's Outlander and Game of Thrones which were done well but I haven't read the books for either of them and I don't really like the TV shows either. I haven't watched Outlander yet though but um I'll get to that eventually but um Shadow Hunters isn't that well done so I don't know.
**Prefer Movie or TV Show**
The movie for this one is It's Kind of a Funny Story, um it's the book by Ned Vini and I saw the movie before I read the book so I was really put off when I read the book and it was so different from the movie so I would definitely say that I prefer the movie to the book.
**Series or Standalone**
Sometimes I just want a oneandone thing, sometimes I really want to get to know these characters and get immersed in a world and in that case I want a series. So it really depends on my mood.
"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enhey everyone it's haey and today I'm going to be doing the Rapid Fire book tag so I'm sorry if I'm really monotone and seem really unhappy in this video it's just because I am not feeling very well at all today like it's not even anything that I feel like I can take medication for because it's not quite a cold it's not quite the flu like I just feel like crap in all possible ways so I am just kind of powering through it because I put up videos every Tuesday and Thursday and I haven't missed a day in so long like I don't even remember the last time I missed a day and I didn't want to break the streak now so I'm just kind of putting up with it and doing a quick video so this tag is absolutely perfect for that and I forget who the creator of this tag is actually girl reading is the one who created this tag and this tag is actually fairly old um I know quite a few people were doing it like when was it like 3 months ago June this is from June but I'm doing it now because I need something quick and we're just going to get into it because I have an essay write that's due tomorrow that I haven't started yet so it's a great day ebook or physical book I am 100% for physical books I just like having something tangible in my hands and I just find it so satisfying to see like how far I'm getting and seeing like I've read this much or it's kind of motivating if I haven't like if I've only read a tiny bit of it I just feel like I get such a sense of accomplishment when I can like physically close a book and reshel it and it's kind of like a trophy on my bookshelf which is basically a trophy cas I feel like for all the books that I've finished but I do really like ebooks for when I'm traveling I will get a bunch of ebooks for that just because I don't want to be carrying around a book it's probably going to get damaged so I do really enjoy ebooks for that purpose but for me I just really like physical books paperback or hardback I actually really like paperback for reading if it's a floppy paperback and it stays open then it is absolutely perfect but I do like hard cover for shelving purposes I don't know it kind of depends on the book and I kind of like having an even mix of hard cover and paperback but I do have more hard cover because I will get books when they first come out and I'm talking way too much for these questions so I'm kind of defeating the purpose of the tag but whatever I just have lots to say online or in store book shopping I'm kind of biased because I work at a bookstore but um I say in store book shopping I just find that it's an experience that you can't get online and it just makes it worth like even if the price is a little bit different it makes it worth spending that extra little bit but because you do get to like browse books that you would maybe Miss online because only certain ones are featured so if you don't have a specific book that you're looking for then you might like you'll miss other books I've lost my train of thought oh I feel so sick but when I was kind of trying to say which is really hard for me to explain right now cuz like I just can't make sense of it but like you see books in bookstores that you wouldn't necessarily have featured on the website so you learn about more books that you may not have heard about if you hadn't gone to the bookstore I really hope that made sense I feel like crap right now I might vomit it's excellent trilogies or series um it really depends trilogies I find get a little bit tedious because there's so many of them and they kind of tend to follow the same conventions and there's that like middle book syndrome um but siries sometimes I get really tired of the story and I find that it will like the characters won't be consistent throughout the series and I just kind of get bored with it but I would say I don't know they're kind of tied I can't really pick one for that one heroes are villains I love being a good villain because you can have like someone like Umbridge who you absolutely hate like I loathe her but like she's such a good villain because she does such a good job of being villain of being a villain like she's just a really well-crafted villain so I really like a great like a really well-developed villain but I do also really like Heroes I just find that sometimes Heroes can fall into certain tropes and I get a little bit tired of that so I do really like villains a book that you want everyone to read there's two for this one and I'm sure you guys know what it is if you're familiar with my channel and if you don't know the answer this to this then hello welcome um but it is Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Louis Carroll and The Book Thief by Marcus zuzak those are just two books that I feel like even if you read them and you don't like them you won't regret having read them because you just feel fulfill filled after finishing them the last book that I finished oh my God I don't even know I feel like my brain is not working right now what is the last book that I finished Labyrinth lost by zarida cor Cordova I can never say that name and I'm looking at the book right now which is why I'm looking down there but it was Labyrinth lost and it was okay the last book that I bought I don't even remember oh yes I do it was an addition of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland that is illustrated by Peter Weavers it is so nice and it will be featured in my book haul next Tuesday so a week from today that will be going up the weirdest thing that I've used as a bookmark is my cat's tail if I'm like getting up and he's there and he puts his tail in the book then I'm like okay just going to use that for a second and then like I come back 2 seconds later I don't make him stay there forever but he just he likes to help me out Used Books yes or no absolute yes I am all for used books one they're cheaper so that's always great and two you get something that someone spent hours reading like they took time out of their day to read it and maybe like I like to think that they really loved it and now they're just passing it on for someone else to enjoy and especially if there's like an inscription in the front of it I just love that I'm always on the hunt for used copies of Alice and Wonderland because I just I just love it so much and I just love the fact that other people are reading the story and loving it as well and wanting to pass on how much they loved it my top three favorite genres um I would say contemporary historical fiction and fantasy I think I don't know I did that really quickly but yeah I would say those are my top three and that's without considering young adult as a genre because I think it's more of an age group it's not really a genre borrow or buy I like buying I just like I said my bookshelf is like a trophy case and I like to like put the books on there when I'm finish them so then I can see how many I have read and just feel very accomplished characters are plot that's a really hard question for me because I like a character-driven story but I really like a plot driven story as well but I do like kind of getting absorbed in the world of characters and learning more about who they are so I guess characters long or short books I like short books I know a lot of people like long books but I'll get really frustrated cuz they take me a really long time to read and I'll just get kind of bored with it a lot of times so I like short books and long or short chapters it depends on the book but I kind of like like I've read salt to the Sea by Ru of petties recently and that has really short chapters and I really enjoyed the short chapters so I think chapters name the first three books that you think of I'm thinking of all the ones that I mentioned in this video and the ones that I just mentioned but I'll just pick random three off of my shelf cuz it's in front of me uh layer of Dreams by liba Bray Elanor and park by rainbow Rowl and six of crows by Lee bardugo books that make you laugh or cry I want a book that makes me laugh cuz I don't really like crying so I like a good book that makes me laugh like my Lady Jane by the lady janies our world or fictional worlds it really depends sometimes I'll really be in the mood to read something that takes place in our world but um a lot of times I'm looking for kind of like an escape from all the things that I have to do so I really like fictional worlds and I do think it's really interesting to learn about a different world and kind of Escape into it so I would say fictional worlds audiobooks yes or no you guys know I love Audi books I just think they're the best and I just like being able to do other things while I'm still reading a book so like I love coloring and coloring books while I'm listening to a book it's like the best it's pure Bliss and is so relaxing so I do really love audio books but sometimes the narrators aren't very good and they kind of ruin it but when it's a really great narrator I love audiobooks do you ever judge a book by its cover absolutely I am not going to lie about that I mean 98% of my interest in a book comes from the cover a lot of people I know it comes from the title but I'm not like that I read the title if the cover has intrigued me so my Intrigue comes from the cover like there's the female of the species by Mindy mcginness I was intrigued by that because there's animals on the cover um like if it's an author that I don't know them before then it's definitely the cover like Labyrinth loss the book that I was talking about that I just read that one has a really nice cover and that's kind of what intrigued me for it so I'm 100% a person who judges a book by its cover and I don't think it's really a bad thing I mean it's just kind of natural book to movie or book to TV ad up ations I like TV shows more than I like movies and I'm not really a huge fan of either of them um but I guess TV just cuz I prefer it but then again like there's some that haven't been done that well um there's Outlander and Game of Thrones which were done well but I haven't read the books for either of them and I don't really like the TV shows either I haven't watched Outlander yet though but um I'll get to that eventually but um Shadow Hunters isn't that well done so I don't know I feel like something like Throne of Glass could be really good in TV rather than in movies cuz movies you don't get as much time to like develop the characters and everything so I guess TV I don't really know I'm like losing my train of thought so much in this video I probably am making no sense of just babbling I am so sorry a movie or TV show you prefer to its book um the movie for this one is It's Kind of a Funny Story um it's the book by Ned Vini and I saw the movie before I read the book so I was really put off when I read the book and it was so different from the movie so I would definitely say that I prefer the movie to the book and finally series or Standalone and that really depends on my mood sometimes I just want a oneandone thing or sometimes I really want to get to know these characters and get immersed in a world and in that case I want a series so it really depends so that was the Rapid Fire book tag I did not do it rapid fire I really spent time on them but I also kept on losing my train of thought and just sounding like a crazy person so I'm sorry that this video is not exactly quality content but I'm doing my best here I literally feel like I'm losing my mind so yeah I'm going to go and write an essay and then hopefully have time to nap so I hope you enjoyed this video I don't know what I'm doing with my body right now but I'll see you guys in the next one bye\n"
