**A Dollar Tree Haul: A Treasure Trove of Treasures**

I recently made my way to Dollar Tree and was thrilled with what I found. As I browsed through the aisles, I couldn't help but notice that there were many items that caught my eye. The beaded necklace, in particular, stood out to me as it had a beautiful layer of design and detail that I just couldn't resist. "I love that we get the little bead there," I thought to myself. The addition of a candy corn star and a super darling mask really made this necklace shine.

But what truly amazed me was the skeleton necklace. "This necklace is absolutely fabulous," I exclaimed, taking in all the beautiful details and intricate design elements. The way it seemed to come alive with each passing moment was truly captivating. And when I learned that I could draping my favorite skeleton figurine in a tear tray, I knew I had to have this necklace.

As I continued shopping, I stumbled upon some adorable cards that caught my eye. One of them read "Hi friend" and while it wasn't the most inspiring message, I thought the teacup and mouse design was precious enough to make me want to use it in a junk journaling project. The card itself had a lovely mint green envelope that added an extra touch of elegance to the gift.

I also found a card that read "Granddaughter," which I thought would be perfect for my husband's birthday. But when I saw the cute teddy bears, I knew I'd have to cut them out and use them in a different way. And on the inside of another card, I discovered an entire design featuring holiday-themed characters – it was like Christmas came early!

As I delved deeper into the Dollar Tree aisles, I found some fantastic ornaments that would make perfect additions to my tear tray or coffee bar setup. And when I opened up a package that seemed like it contained more than just one item, I couldn't help but be excited. The little packet burst open, revealing a treasure trove of goodies that I knew I'd use in no time.

Speaking of treasures, I must confess that my experience at Dollar Tree this time was slightly marred by the price increase on some items. But overall, I was thrilled with what I found and couldn't wait to get home and sort through all my new acquisitions.

**Dollar General: A Second Store to Explore**

While Dollar Tree will always be my first love when it comes to finding affordable treasures, I'm also excited about the prospect of exploring other stores like Dollar General. And let me tell you, I was pleasantly surprised by what I found at this store.

From Christmas ornaments to cards and gifts, there were so many wonderful items that caught my eye. The ornaments in particular stood out to me – they were beautifully crafted and would make perfect additions to my tear tray or coffee bar setup. At just $4 each, they were a steal!

And as I wandered through the aisles of Dollar General, I stumbled upon some truly special cards and gifts. There was one card that read "Run to Dollar General" – it was like they knew exactly what I was thinking! And then there were the vintage-style Christmas cards, which seemed like they belonged in a museum.

But what really made my trip to Dollar General special was the realization that these stores are not just about finding cheap bargains. They're also about discovering unique and quirky treasures that can add personality and flair to our lives.

**A Comparison of Dollar Tree and Dollar General**

So, which store came out on top in this comparison? For me, it's clear that Dollar Tree will always be my first love. But that's not to say that Dollar General doesn't have its own merits. While some of the items I found at this store were a bit more expensive than what I'm used to, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and uniqueness of many of the items.

In fact, some of the things I found at Dollar General felt like they were missing from my Dollar Tree haul – like that vintage-style Christmas card or those adorable ornaments. It's clear that both stores have their own strengths and weaknesses, but ultimately, it comes down to personal preference.

As someone who loves finding treasures on a budget, I'm always excited to explore new stores and see what hidden gems I can discover. And while Dollar Tree will always be my go-to destination, I'm happy to report that Dollar General is definitely worth checking out – at least for the time being!

"WEBVTTKind: captionsLanguage: enthank you my shirt's a little bit wrinkly today but pulled out the Hocus swimming kind of pulled out the Hocus Pocus shirt this is in my merch shop by the way but yeah I don't have an iron I should have just steamed it but anyways I I went shopping at Dollar General so I've got a couple of bags in here but this time when I walked in I wanted to kind of challenge myself to find all the things that I liked that were a dollar comparable to Dollar Tree so and actually I try to stay to the dollar because there were some things that were like a dollar 25 1.75 and maybe I could have gone into that realm I probably should have because I would have had more but I found myself like trying to stick to the dollar there are a couple things that ended up being two because I wasn't quite sure what the price was um and then I did pick up two bigger items um but that's just because I did not want to walk out of Dollar General without it I mean like here's my receipt because there were just so many dollar items here so let's dive in I've been very excited because since moving here I just have really liked the Dollar Generals in my area and back home in Dallas they just yeah didn't really like them that much I do feel like I probably need to sort because I did get a couple of things that like go into a matching set so I'm just gonna sit here for a second and kind of unpack these bags you know unlike how I do it with Dollar Tree um but yeah so while I sit here and kind of unpack um yes can I could I have done this before I started filming absolutely um but last night I did watch Hocus Pocus 2. I left my thoughts on my Instagram stories so that's that's that and if you've already watched them you just already know um I will say something that I didn't add to my Instagram stories about it was that I I am happy at the end of the day that we at least got more of the Sanderson sisters you know we got more of their you know more lines from them and just you know more screen time and so that that I really I really you know I'm glad for so all right I think I pretty much have it yeah so I let's start off with these adorable sharpeners um they also come with an eraser as you can see they're a dollar so again we're like comparing this to Dollar Tree and what I love about this Haul is that it's not the same stuff that's at Dollar Tree so it's nice to go to another store and hit up dollar items and find a different variety so at Dollar Tree I always like to pick up all the new sharpeners and erasers for you guys um so here's what I found at Dollar General so they're super cute they look like little popsicles like what and then I found them in a bunch of colors yes obviously popsicles speak more to you know a summertime thing I mean you could definitely pick these up and maybe even wait a little bit and see if they go into the clearance item or the clearance section at Dollar General and maybe they'll like go down I wonder actually if these ended up being 50 cents no I think these these did end up being a dollar so go ahead and open one let's do the pink one so we're gonna get two things out of here here is oh my gosh that's absolutely adorable so you essentially pull off the bottom of the popsicle stick to get access to the sharpener so I think that's really cute and then you just like pop the little stick back in and then it goes into there and then when you pull the top off this whole piece is an eraser and I love this the kind of monochromatic of it I really like that I just think it's really pretty this little piece here is oh there we go so I think that's really cute you could definitely you know grab these and put them away for next spring and summer but that's not the only thing that I found that was kind of giving me a popsicle Vibe I also found these highlighters and as you can see with this these were 50 cents so like what a steal we would not see this at Dollar Tree for 50 cents we would see them for a dollar 25 and I want to point out that what we also wouldn't see from Dollar Tree is this whole shape Concept in terms of like highlighters like this is the one thing I feel like we need to see from Dollar Tree is then give us something different with highlighters we're seeing the same thing over and over just like the traditional look of them this just looks like the stuff that's on Amazon I mean and look at the color selection you can just see the highlighter there let's go ahead and open let's do another color how about that let's do purple and like this packaging is gorgeous I've been really into watching desk setup videos does anyone else like watch random videos like that and it has me so excited for organizing my office which is delayed by the way in case you're like wondering what my office makeover is coming um it actually is getting closer I don't know if it will be an October release but it'll either be this month or next month hopefully so um little highlighters like this I can't wait to like stack you know and create a really good like office environment for myself but here's the highlighter super nice and just so adult adorable you know I mean you could also do like an office themed gift basket and just pop into Dollar General and grab little Little Cuties like this like what so I found those um then I found more popsicle themed items but these are just erasers so as you can see there 50 cents super cute this one's giving me Neapolitan ice cream vibes um and this is like lemon lime or just lime sherbet or something that's like what I think when I see them but they're super cute then I picked up this highlighter just to like in comparison show you guys I mean even this one is very unique now Dollar General also has like the standard highlighters the stuff that we see at Dollar Tree um so I wanted to pull this one specifically because it's still a step and a more you know unique direction that I feel like we're just missing from Dollar Tree in this area so you get the dual end a yellow highlighter and a pink highlighter and I love highlighters I just use them for so many for so many things when I'm working in my to-do list and stuff I always use highlighters to like Mark things off so I go through them okay the next thing that I grabbed was this for a dollar it's just one large glue stick Elmer's Glue there's Elmer's Glue at Dollar Tree and I but I don't know if they carry them in the glue stick form they carry them in the traditional glue bottle form um so this is kind of like comparing two jots jumbo glue stick but Elmer's is gonna win for me at least from comparing it to like the old jot brand um they released a new glue stick and I haven't tried it yet so I don't know how good it is in comparison to this but I love Elmer's glue sticks they are just my my go-to I buy them in bulk actually from Walmart so I got that all right the next thing that I found very exciting that I think blows a Dollar Tree out of the park are these paper clips so these were also a dollar I love the packaging of them I love this hard plastic container because then you can just use this container for other things in your craft room or in your office and here's the jumbo ones they have kind of the same coloring as the ones from Dollar Tree they're just missing a yellow in here and then this one is a gorgeous like metallic set and they are in a smaller form obsessed so yeah very excited you get a hundred in here and 40 in here for the dollar okay next up I think this was in the clearance section and I believe this ended up being a dollar as well this is a card and envelope set and you get 10 in here something we don't see at Dollar Tree is stuff like this which I'm kind of expecting to see eventually from crafter square like this is something that I think would not surprise me if it came out but they crafter square is the brand at Dollar Tree that gives us all the DIY material like give us some blank envelopes and cards you know like that's what we need here so they're just blank these are amazing because you know junk journaling card mail friend mail this is just going to be a really good staple to have in your craft room if like that's your thing um so love that and then you can also like personalize them too even if like you're not into crafting but you find yourself sending a lot of like thank you letters or things you know and if you like have your own like sticker with like your initial your family's initial or something like these are just beautiful being blank and nothing going on just classic I guess in a way so I found those all right next up what do I go in for next let's do some stickers so here's just like what I found for the dollar found the princess stickers now this is something that we typically see at Dollar Tree as well um Dollar Tree also does stars but I don't think they do them this big so I think these are really cute and I love the colors because if you're into bullet journaling this would probably be a good pickup because then you can like organize with the color coding again with the hearts and then this one was really cute and unique I liked that so those are just the stickers that I owe I also picked up this sticker so I found the alpha set but these are all a dollar so cheaper at this point than Dollar Tree so already it's just a better deal um I just thought these sticker letters were cute and there's actually quite a bit 330 pieces I want to open this I don't know why I just stuttered there but okay yeah we get a bunch of sheets which is so nice like that that's amazing so so there's that all right next up let's get into some flash cards these are some of my newest favorite things in like the last year or so I started all of a sudden buying a bunch of these I just love them especially because I've been into junk journaling and you can just use the cards as is with the cute images or you can actually like use them to cover up because they're like a nice thick cardstock in a way so you can see here this one says a dollar and I've been dying to open this because I want to see if there's like an image to them or not so let's see because yeah when they have like the nothing yeah I don't know why it has the chocolate like that makes absolutely no sense but now you know because I just showed you there's just no images but it doesn't matter I'm not it's not going to waste because I can cover these up with like my own papers and things and yeah you can just create a bunch of stuff you can turn them into tags you know if you have like a grommet thing you could cover it up add all your like scrapbook paper and grommet in the center add some ribbon and you make yourself something really cute then I picked up Crazy Eights so a card game and I wanted to see again what images very cute so it has that like card game so you're gonna have the numbers on them but I wanted to like see again what getting a sloth zebra unicorn and a lion that's really cute it's adorable and obviously Crazy Eights is a fun game and the fact this was a dollar this is gonna be a great pickup too um if you're going on like road trips with the family and uh yeah like when we would travel to Florida every year I mean now we live here but when we would travel because we would drive um when Micah was younger we would pack her Uno cards in a Dollar Tree like container and we would keep it in the car because the girls could like play Uno in the car and it was just yeah so it's a good car game so there's that then I picked up these glitter things and they were a dollar very impressive something I think Dollar Tree gives us some very small vials I guess so here's this one these I'm gonna use mine for like adding them into like Shaker cards and little like um windows that I'll create in my junk journals I am going to be doing like a junk journal with me live soon so keep that in mind and my Christmas release is coming soon my fall and Halloween have sold out so I will be dropping Christmas really soon um so there's that all right then I picked up some playing cards just like a regular deck a dollar so it's cheaper at Dollar General you know I mean they have these at Dollar Tree for 1.25 and so I got those okay next up let's get into some actually let's do these because these I I was really excited about thank you all the one thing is that I know Dollar Tree did these with the same concept they gave us the marker they gave us the little like active activity pad what I can't quite put my finger on is if it's the exact same thing I feel like operation was definitely one of them so this might be one of those it's the same exact thing you know I don't remember if if Candyland was one of them but look how cute this image is I'm definitely going to use this front cover because I want to do like a Candyland junk Journal eventually so I'm just gonna like use this for that and then we have Mr Potato Head these are also great for like the on the go you know let's say you're a baseball mom because I know like that takes up a lot of your weekends and the whole day and you have other kids you need to entertain this would probably be really cute and then we have guess who how is there a Guess Who activity said I love that so I found those but again I think I've hauled them before from Dollar Tree then I picked up some um um fall sets these were a dollar so we've got this one it says morning pumpkin and then I found the matching oven mitt so cute I love the design very different again it has that like Dollar Tree look to it um but at least we're getting some like new designs and then I got this one the farmer's market pumpkin patch with the Buffalo check and this one has more of like a burgundy red going on so that's really pretty I found that and then I found these paper straws for a dollar this is where I think we kind of missed a little bit from Dollar Tree where these paper straws maybe your Source had them I haven't seen them but these are really cute they also had them in a different pattern I just didn't like it so we got that um oh look an orange highlighter forgot about that one and I also picked up these spider rings for a dollar very different from the spider rings that we've seen at Dollar Tree but it's like nice to just have something different so I really like it I love how long their legs are like so long so cute you can turn these into charms and all kinds of things you can add them in your ice and your like ice um if you have like the ice trays you just put your little spiders in it freeze with your water and they go into your drinks obviously do not drink the spider but super cute and then I found this mini pack of erasers for a dollar y'all how freaking cute is this it's kind of hard to see all the erasers but there's a b there's a chick watermelon limes strawberries like what that is adorable and then you you're left over with this little vial too so love that and then probably my favorite finds we just don't we don't we haven't seen anything quite like this at Dollar Tree so I think these are fabulous I love that we get the little like bead there as well and these are so cute so cute and there's like an additional layer like the candy corn star which you know I love and then the mask is like an additional super darling and then this too shocked me so much a skeleton necklace this necklace is absolutely fabulous like look at all those beautiful details and then the skeleton himself like I think that's amazing I would drape him in a tear tray but there's like so much you could do with this just so much so I got that and I think that's actually oh no then the cards because I was about to show you guys what I found that was so with the cards some of them ended up being two dollars so I found this one I think this one ended up being two dollars now this one has a bunch of writing and stuff that just um like Hi friend which isn't too bad but I liked it for the teacup and the mice like I thought that was so precious I'm definitely going to use this and cut it out for Junk journaling but here's what card looks like so pretty or I could just use the card itself I mean the shape is really pretty I can cover this up and then it comes with this beautiful mint green envelope and then I found this one as you can see it says granddaughter but I wanted the images of the cupcakes so I'll probably be just cutting them out I love the trim on the inside actually I'm probably going to keep this card intact because I can easily cover this up because the center of this isn't too bad with love like I think that's cute I'll definitely use this for like Valentine's Day so hot pink envelope and then I got this one again I was just looking at the images I really liked the teddy bears I think they're so cute I think this is like to my husband or something so I'll I'll probably be cutting them out but I do love the trim on this as well and then oh my gosh there's more of them on the inside I'm gonna have to save this card actually again another one where I thought I was gonna cut it apart but I'm not I'm just gonna have to like cover up the words so I found that and then the roster Christmas and run to Dollar General because this little vintage card is everything if you're new to my channel you're like who am I sending all these cards to no I craft with them I junk journal with them they're amazing and you grab this one this one right here um I did get two because that's how I do it when I love something I buy it in pairs and then I got the Grinch because I thought it was really cute there there's that now let's get into the last couple things which are Christmas because Dollar General is putting out Christmas and I found these ornaments and they are also a dollar so like there's the price look how cute they are so beautiful I I'm thinking tear Trey obviously they are great as ornaments because that's what they are labeled as um I'm gonna have to go back and get more of these I think these would be super cute and A Tear tray or like coffee bar setup so I'm gonna use those and then these were the bigger ticket items I think how much were they four dollars which I mean for that price now what you're hearing in this particular box is the little like this little pack busted open so I need to pour it out so that Loki doesn't you know kind of like get into that but that's that's what it is y'all and I'm actually going to use these boxes in my craft room I want to have like my dream is that whenever I get to like journaling for the seasons and holidays I bring out my boxes and the boxes hold all my craft stuff that are related to that season I think it'll be the easiest way for me to you know store things like that like look at this four dollars they had more to choose from these two just happened to be my favorite there's that that is the end of the Dollar General haul in comparison to Dollar Tree let me know what you guys think um obviously Dollar Trees was still my favorite store like even with that price increase but uh but it is really nice and fun to have another store to still find dollar things you know I used to go to the Target Dollar spot and it just it's personally I I just haven't really liked it myself I feel like where's the dollar it's all three five seven primarily but um at least that's been my experience so very happy with this haul I think it was super cute I hope you guys loved it and that's it for today I will see you guys next time bye foreign\n"
