Welcome to Hoo's Garage 3.0: The Ultimate Guide to Building and Upgrading Your Dream Home

As we begin this journey, it's essential to understand that building and upgrading your dream home is not an easy task. It requires careful planning, execution, and patience. In this article, we'll explore the world of Hoo's Garage 3.0, a unique project that combines passion, creativity, and hard work.

Hoo's Garage 3.0: The Project Begins

The journey started with the pond, which cost $16,600 to dig out and build. This was followed by painting for the studio and other areas, totaling $9,000. As the construction progressed, the costs escalated, with a recent bill of $882,000 becoming one of the biggest expenses yet. The total cost so far stands at over $500,000.

The Building Erection: A Major Milestone

One of the most significant aspects of Hoo's Garage 3.0 is the building erection process. With an initial deposit of $74,800, this phase was expected to cost around $38,500 and $58,500 for concrete and other materials. However, due to a slight detour required to obtain permits, additional costs were incurred.

The Roof: A Concerning Issue

Unfortunately, the roof at Hoo's Garage 3.0 did not arrive on time due to inclement weather. This resulted in water intrusion into the mud room, creating an unpleasant environment and raising concerns about potential health issues for the homeowner. The cost of fixing this damage is estimated to be around $50,000.

The Farm: A Glimmer of Hope

Despite the setbacks, progress has been made on the farm. The construction team has almost completed the side walls, with only a few remaining details to finish. The large garage door and smaller middle door are now in place, providing ample space for storage and equipment.

Inside the New Addition

The interior of the new addition is taking shape. The electrical work is nearing completion, while the HVAC and plumbing systems are being installed. A working fireplace has also been added, bringing warmth and ambiance to the space.

A Light at the End of the Tunnel

As we approach the final stages of construction, it's clear that progress has been made. However, the homeowner acknowledges that they have no business making a YouTube video at this point. Despite the challenges, the dedication and perseverance of the team involved in Hoo's Garage 3.0 are truly inspiring.

The Cost: A Heavy Burden

The cost of Hoo's Garage 3.0 has been substantial, with estimates ranging from $500,000 to over $1 million. The homeowner had initially planned to pay cash upfront but opted for a construction loan instead. This decision has allowed them to manage their finances more effectively.

Conclusion

Hoo's Garage 3.0 is a remarkable project that showcases the power of determination and hard work. From the initial pond installation to the current state of the building, this journey has been filled with ups and downs. As we near the end of this article, it's essential to remember that every project has its challenges and setbacks. The key to success lies in perseverance and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.

As Hoo's Garage 3.0 nears completion, the homeowner looks forward to enjoying their new dream home. 30X 40 I think and the height well not too bad but then here is the new one 60 by 100 and obviously massive massive ceilings 18 ft I believe at the end and then over 20 at the middle and this is only two days of erecting here actually they started yesterday by putting up the outer walls and then today they put up the roof beams and as you can see the erection is going very very well nice and level sitting straight up and I am quite Overjoyed after waiting for months and months after the building has been delivered that they are here and working and actually the Erectors are on their lunch break playing croquet yes I said that they're playing croquet on their lunch break so they'll be back at it in a little bit but as you can see this goes together really really quick they'll finish up putting on the skeletal pieces on the outside and then they'll start putting up the outer shell and all that should be done inside of two weeks it's going to take another full week is putting up all the insulation inside and then that's still a total bare empty building that will need lighting that'll need garage doors it'll still need a lot but I will have a full shell of hovies garage 3.0 now the house is also coming along very nicely but as you can see the mud pit has gotten gotten worse I can't really walk across that but thankfully the Raptor is back from the car Wizards and I think you know what I have to do come on I'm momentarily distracted cuz Jake is uh working on charging up the Porsche batteries they've been in this lean Tu for so long with the Jeep they're sort of turning into barn finds with all the dust the other one sitting on the charger over there next to the million Mile cumins and the croquet player Erectors so OD D yes give it a little rev what a goofy tank so anyway here's the new windows on on the house nice big sliding door starting to look like a house isn't that nice well it's been about a week since I shot all that in the span of time uh my daughter came down with influence and B April the same thing and then just when she got over that she had her knee surgery um she was hit by a snowboarder I take her skiing for the first time and the snowboarder going Reckless took her out tore her ACL so a big surgery there but while she was in surgery I started to go downhill and now I have what I assume is is the flu um the thing is it's the third time in six weeks that I've had a high fever and I'm talking 103 just absolutely miserable and unfortunately I have to get a video out I I can't not get a video out because of uh sponsor obligations and also uh paying the bills here for all the stuff going on at the house so if I don't post a video then I don't U make money obviously and it's all well it's all starting to stack up here now my plan was to go visit a friend's amazing garage and go see that for inspiration to what I was going to do with mine or go up to the Wizards and check on the projects and then come back to the the the new barn at the end but um obviously I can't do that so um what I'm going to do right now is go over what I have spent so far here uh on the home and the building so um initially had to do the pond uh 16,6 $0000 to dig it out and do the BMS in the front for extra privacy uh some painting for the studio and a lot of other places for $9,000 um and then the construction uh so far on the house is a little over $200,000 for what they've done so far uh including a recent uh Bill uh the biggest one yet for $882,000 the one I just got which will um pretty close to wipe me out um that's for everything for the flooring for tile for all the f es basically so it was going to be the biggest one so then at the same time there's the building erection and that was uh $74,800 deposit uh the erection is going to cost $38,500 and also $58,500 for the concrete and $ 24,23461 uh that I haven't paid yet that I need to find uh because I had to scoot the building over to get the permit so there was there was some movement there um so so far on the house I spent $266,500 uh 321 so almost $500,000 in the span of of uh oh whatever it's been about 6 months and uh instead of getting a construction loan I thought I could pay all this for cash and then at the end I could go and get a mortgage uh based on the new value of the house and with everything else and then uh you know being able to pay my taxes and other sponsor obligations or not sponsor other obligations um that I need to pay and um so that's why the the music can't stop now the one thing that has me concerned is is the the roof at the house um they didn't have it on yet it's been the wetest uh it's been the wetest weather we've had I think since 2006 as far as a winter and uh they couldn't get the roof on in time so we had water intrusion into the mud room and it makes me wonder if uh me being allergic to mold and it's smelling pretty bad in that mud room right off the kitchen if that's why I've gotten sick three times in the last uh six weeks um and also it has caused unbelievable destruction of the Landscaping um so I'm likely facing another $50,000 in in landscaping I would guess uh to clean this all up other the ruts and everything else um the way it looked before was just so so different so um it's been about a week since I had shown you all this so I'll go back uh to the um to the farm and walk you through it all and then uh then we'll we'll mercifully end this video was going to so sorry that I have to do a video this way but I I I really have no choice well that's a new one oh fantastic another part of the lawn that needs to be uh fixed along with everything else so they must have driven the L back there but uh look at the building they've been hard at work so this is uh the end of week two when it comes to construction and uh they almost have all the side walls completed here here so we have the Large Garage Door there the smaller middle door and then the 60x 100 space now the ceiling is a little bit more complicated because they have to put a tarp down then the insulation and then put on the roof um so it's a bit of a thing and they have to have uh decent weather for that for a few days and I don't I don't think we're getting decent weather just the way it's been uh this winter unfortunately but you can see progress which is nice same goes for inside of the new addition here you can see uh the electrical is pretty much roughed in uh the HVAC the plumbing so they have been hard at work even the fireplace is uh becoming a thing so next we'll be finishing the place out dry awall um um somewhat a light at the end of the tunnel but clearly I have no business making a YouTube video right now but like I said I just I have to do it unfortunately so I am very sorry for my performance in this video but as always thank you so much for watching\n"
