The bookshelf makeover: A journey from chaos to coziness

As I stood in front of my bookshelves, I couldn't help but feel a sense of frustration. The books were not organized in a way that made sense to me, and I was struggling to find what I needed. But with a new vision for my bookshelf makeover, I set out to transform this chaotic space into a cozy haven.

I started by unwrapping the books from their boxes and removing them from their shelves. As I took everything out, I began to sort them into categories based on color. "Pinks and reds" went on one shelf, followed by oranges, yellows, blues, and greens. The darker books were placed at the bottom of each shelf, with my immediate TBR (to-be-read) list at the top. This system allowed me to quickly scan the shelves and find what I needed.

But it wasn't just about aesthetics – I also wanted to create a functional space that would help me stay organized. To achieve this, I created a working TBR card on one of the upper shelves, where I could keep track of books that I need to read for videos and other projects. This system allowed me to easily access the books I needed, without having to search through the entire collection.

As I continued to organize my bookshelf, I decided to add some festive touches. I placed a small Christmas tree on top of one of the shelves, complete with twinkling lights and a winter wonderland candle nearby. The result was a cozy and inviting atmosphere that seemed to transport me straight into the holiday season.

Next, I decorated the space with a few other festive items – including a Christmas cookie candle, two little Christmas trees, and a green one on another shelf. To complete the look, I added a soft blanket to my pillow, which I had been using for years. The result was a space that felt warm, inviting, and utterly festive.

As I finished up the final touches, I couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. My bookshelf makeover had transformed this chaotic space into a cozy haven that made me feel happy and relaxed. And with my new system in place, I knew that I would be able to stay organized and find what I needed with ease.

I finished decorating by turning on the LED lights on my shelf and adjusting them to set the ambiance just right for an overall cozy look. It was so much fun filming this video, I hope you guys enjoyed it!

see what's in them and what it looks like I can't stand it anymore I thought instead of decorating my room for Christmas let's decorate my bookshelves for Christmas I thought that would be more fun because I love my bookshelves I love the holidays I love being festive so I'm going to combine all of them and we're going to decorate my bookshelves I also need to put all of my books and like reorganize my bookshelf so I thought let's do that together I think that would be very fun I'm going to show you what I got first I went to Five Below first I thought they would have like good options obviously for cheap so I went there first just to check out what they had and they had like cute things so I got plush like pillow feeling Christmas trees I got a white one I got a green one and I think they are so cute they're soft and they were obviously cheap they were $4 and I love them and then I got these Firefly lights so the thing is I wanted to put lights on my book shelf I only have one I think it's just like one long string I think I just going to have to go on the top of them I was going to get two for both bookshelves but I I wasn't thinking clearly so we'll see how this works out it'll probably just go over my main bookshelf I had to buy batteries too I Target this is actually a reusable bag I don't even know where this is from but all my stuff is in here first thing I got as you can see is a pillow I know we're decorating my bookshelves but I saw this and it just it's so cute it's really soft and I love it it's literally just few trees and then I think there's people ice skating skiing hanging out I don't know it's really cute though okay and then I got this little dish because I have my Halloween slf fall one holding my skin care and some jewelry so I thought I should put this on it's like red trimmed it's actually a cake stand but it was $5 and I thought it would be cute to put stuff on top of it so I got that right and then I got two candles I got two one to decorate it and because I know my boyfriend is going to steal one of them so I got two in case he does I'll have an extra one these are the scents that I got infus with essential oils that's fun Christmas cheer this is the red one it smells like literally what Christmas was would smell like not like a sweet Christmas cookie more like like pine tree I don't know how to explain it but I will say it smells good winter wonderland this one this one's definitely more I'm so bad at describing scents this one smells so good this is more of like a sweet but also has like a little bit of a fruity mixed in I don't know this one's my favorite though so I hope if he steals any of them he's stealing the red one but I have a weird feeling this one's going to be gone I'll let you guys know what happens to there and then I got like I said some batteries because I don't know we even had any and I wasn't taking that risk I did not want to go back out I got these little mini trees there was gold ones but I thought these ones were more festive because it looks like real Christmas trees with snow on them it's really just Sparkles and I thought it was really cute I got these I was going to get these and the gold but I didn't want to do too much you know I wanted to keep it simple but with some cute things so this is what I've got before we decorate obviously we're going to have to fix my bookshelves so that I could decorate the bookshelves this is the state that they're in right now i r these the other day they are colorcoded I got new shelves if you watched my last Vlog I think it was my last Vlog I'm not sure when it was but I showed you what I did they're color coded and they're new shelves so they're taller so they fit like right under my TV which I really like and these I literally just have some TBR books up there and then random stuff in here I want to unwrap my covered books I was going to do another video with them but I know this is such a waste I'm so tired of looking at them and I don't have any videos planned with it I'm going to unwrap them and figure out an organizational way to put them in there I'm going to keep some of these books at the bottom but up there I'm going to keep books that I need for videos and like my immediate TBR like my monthly TBR we are going to get to that now I'm going to unwrap those first and take everything out of these shelves and reorganize them I'm not going to do anything with these because I think they're just like perfectly done I don't know if I want to switch anything in them I think it's all good I've kind of at first was annoyed a little because genres aren't together and everything like that and it was getting a little bit confusing to me but I think it's fine now I kind of know where everything is it's kind of registered more in my head the more that I've got accustomed to the books in this order so I think that's fine but I need to do the shelf and take out these books and then I'll update and then we'll decorate let's do that first is I just finished it's not completely perfectly colorcoded but I tried my best these are all just my books that I need to get to like this whole shelf I kind of put pinks and reds here my red ones are here and then orange SL yellow blueish colors green maybe too these are my darker ones and then this one is just like my immediate TBR so I have like the top ones are from my November TBR it's going into books that I want to read in December on here I kept down on these two books I still also have to get to but I don't want to put on my bookshelf and then the very top are books that I have to put into a video and then also books I have to put into a video an item I have to put into a video so that's going to be like my working TBR card working books that I need I think I like it like this this is like the overall what it looks like let's decorate my bookshelf here's the before see okay look how cute all right let's see what I've done I put all my skin care on here I think it looks so cute I love that it's just like simple it fits everything it's like kind of elevated really loving that and then okay how cute so this little Christmas tree thing I got like a few years ago I've been using it every year for Christmas and it's kind of like a knitted tree I have no idea where I got this from if you want me to guess it's probably Target or like HomeGoods but I've had it like forever and then I plugged in the lights with the batteries behind there and I kind of just tried to put it on top of the bookshelves which I think is cute I'll show you what the blinds close so it's darker after but okay then on top of love other words I had this Christmas cookie candle already so left that and then put two little Christmas trees and then over over here put this one in the little Christmas tree and the winter wonderland candle then up here the green one little Christmas tree Christmas cheer candle and then I'm pretty sure that's all I got oh and then my pillow is so cute so let me close the blinds I can't wait for later when I have just that and then let me put on my LED lights maybe that'll be cute a isn't that so cute it's so festive I hope you guys enjoy enjoyed coming with me to Christmas up my room let me turn my LEDs off this was literally so fun I love the holiday season I love The Fall season going into the holiday season it just makes everything just feel so much better you know I used to get really upset when daylight savings would happen and it would get dark out and I would like just get like really upset but not anymore now I kind of just like soak in the coziness of the season when it gets darker out and I kind of just like I feel better this year with all of that but I'm so excited I love how it turned out I love that it's not like too much but it's also like really cute my bookshelves look so cute and festive and I love them so much I hope you guys enjoyed let me know if you like my new bookshelves all of
