Why is the Honda Accord So Hated

**The Honda Accord with the H23 Blue Top: A Unique and Fun Ride**

The car I'm reviewing today is a Honda Accord, but not just any Accord - it's an older model with a 2.3 liter engine from the H23 Blue Top series. The numbers behind the letters of the code can be confusing, but essentially, this displacement is what sets this motor apart from others. This particular car has 47,000 miles on it and was meticulously maintained by its owner, Logan.

Logan's Accord feels like a big car, with gauges that are slightly larger than usual on the dashboard. The back seat of the Accord is roomy and classy, making it a great option for road trips or everyday driving. One of the things that's impressive about this car is how well it transforms into a sportier vehicle when equipped with a front lip or other modifications. It's surprising to think that with just these changes, the Accord can become much more aggressive-looking than its usual demeanor.

The H23 engine in this Accord is actually out of the Next Generation Accord, which might seem unusual. However, it doesn't really feel like an unconventional swap when you drive it - it's almost as if it was meant to be there all along. The motor is bone stock and features headers and exhaust, but overall, it's a very smooth ride.

One of the things that sets this car apart from others is its transmission, which is a 5-speed unit. It does rev a bit higher than usual when cruising around, but that's also completely normal for an older Honda model. Unfortunately, this car doesn't have power steering - a feature that many drivers might miss out on if they're not used to driving cars without it.

Despite its age and the lack of advanced features like VTEC pull-up assist, this Accord is still engaging to drive. The engine does make you work for it, pushing you through the gears as you shift from one gear to another. However, that's all part of the fun when driving an older Honda model - there's a tactile quality to it that's hard to replicate with modern cars.

One thing that might be surprising about this car is how well it compares to newer Hondas in terms of space and comfort. The Accord feels spacious inside, with plenty of room for passengers and cargo. It also has a smooth ride that's easy on the body - despite its older age, it feels much more refined than you might expect.

The modern Accords that I've seen are certainly influenced by earlier models like this one. They have some DNA in common with cars like the EG Civic, but they're definitely their own unique breed. This Accord, in particular, has a certain style and charm that's hard to deny - it's definitely one of the best-looking Hondas out there.

If you're new to the Honda scene or looking for a car to get your feet wet, this is an excellent choice. It's easy to work on, fun to drive, and surprisingly engaging despite its age. The VTEC engine is hilarious to listen to, making it a joy to drive. Overall, this Accord is a great example of what Honda can do when they're not trying to push the boundaries of technology or innovation - just making a great car that's enjoyable to drive.

I want to thank Logan again for letting me review his car. It was an absolute pleasure driving his Accord and seeing firsthand how well it handles. If you're interested in learning more about the LS nitrous 300ZX, I've got a video review of that car as well - just check out my channel on Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Sundays for more reviews like this one.

**Technical Specifications:**

* Engine: H23 Blue Top 2.3 liter

* Transmission: 5-speed automatic

* Power Steering: No

* Torque: Approximately 400 wheel horsepower

**Drive Impressions:**

The Accord feels spacious and classy inside, with larger gauges on the dashboard than usual. The back seat is roomy and comfortable, making it a great option for road trips or everyday driving. When equipped with a front lip or other modifications, this car transforms into a sportier vehicle that's surprisingly aggressive-looking.

Driving this car makes you feel like you're working for your speed - the engine pushes you through the gears as you shift from one gear to another. The 5-speed transmission does rev a bit higher than usual when cruising around, but that's completely normal for an older Honda model. However, the ride is smooth and refined, making it easy on the body.

Overall, this Accord is a fun and engaging drive - not just because of its VTEC engine or sporty modifications, but also because of its tactile quality. It's an excellent choice for anyone looking to get their feet wet in the car scene or industry.
